Kid, this is nuts!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cActually, that caf\u00e9 Aaron mentioned is a good start,\u201d mused Amy. \u201cI know the address. Look for a blue hedgehog named Misty.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAbout that,\u201d continued Ironhide, who had a grievance against this whole thing, \u201care you really gonna take advice from a psycho that tried to kill us?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell,\u201d answered Orion, \u201cAmy DID just say that the caf\u00e9 exists and I don\u2019t think she would hang out with any bad witches. Besides, Misty might give me some magic hotspots across the planet.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou\u2019re still going to go on a journey with no weapons and no backup!\u201d wailed Ironhide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe\u2019s not totally backup-less,\u201d assured Teletraan. \u201cBoth Arks will track his position and get him out if he\u2019s in a jam.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOn top of that,\u201d replied Orion, \u201cI DID scan a vehicle mode. While it\u2019s not as sleek as my original mode, it serves this frame well. Tails and Ratchet are making some gadgets for me in case I run into trouble.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAsk, and ye shall receive!\u201d called Tails\u2019 voice. He was riding the rolling table Ratchet was pushing. For someone so cranky, Ratchet had a grin on his face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWho ordered gadgets built by two geniuses?!\u201d he cheered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOooh, does somebody have new toys for me to play with?\u201d asked Orion, acting like a child on Christmas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe certainly do!\u201d replied Tails. \u201cSo, pay attention. These toys have one or two expensive accessories.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2018One or two\u2019? Go on,\u201d urged Orion with a grin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026There really is no point in giving you the standard safety lecture, is there?\u201d sighed Ratchet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFirst off,\u201d began Tails as he pointed to a circuit board, \u201cthat circuit board will connect you to both Arks and the base. Since the Energon density messes up the normal comms when you go the normal linear route, it sends the signal to the Arks and will direct the call to whoever you want to talk to. Simply tap your comms unit, say who you want to talk to, and you can enjoy a conversation wherever on Mobius you happen to be. Tap it again to close the channel. Hold it down for three seconds to initiate an emergency teleport to get you out of whatever mess you\u2019re in.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs for your new weapons,\u201d supplied Ratchet, \u201cit should integrate well with your weapons systems. They\u2019re designed to look like decorative smoke stacks since trucks no longer run on fossil fuels.\u201d Orion took the two smoke stacks and put them on his upper arms. He then lowered a blue visor with an HUD targeting system. He saw a target board and locked onto the center to calibrate them. They rotated to point at the target and Orion fired. The two beams connected at the target and started a small fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cVector tap dancing Prime!\u201d yelped Ironhide as he took a fire extinguisher and emptied the contents onto the target board. Tails allowed himself an evil laugh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGood work, you two,\u201d praised Orion. \u201cI might keep them after I get my magic back.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCan\u2019t you just wait to tell G.U.N. about this mess or are you gonna keep them in the dark?\u201d asked Ironhide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat they don\u2019t know won\u2019t hurt them,\u201d remarked a voice. Everyone turned and saw the weirdest sight ever! They saw Optimus Prime!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat the?!\u201d yelped Tails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHello, Orion!\u201d greeted the Optimus clone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHello, Optimus!\u201d returned Orion. \u201cHow are you doing?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m doing very well,\u201d replied the Optimus clone. \u201cHow about you?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFine, given the circumstances,\u201d sighed Orion. \u201cDo you want to explain, or should I?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, you and Teletraan should BOTH do it,\u201d encouraged the Optimus clone. \u201cYou two do it so well.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThank you!\u201d replied Orion. He turned back to the Autobots. \u201cMy friends, say hello to the Holo-droid!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI developed him as a decoy in case Egghead decided to invade,\u201d supplied Teletraan. \u201cDon\u2019t worry, you can thank me later.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd Teletraan had developed a way to upload memories and mental patterns onto it,\u201d continued Orion. \u201cSo, it\u2019s like I never lost my magic!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGranted,\u201d sighed Holo-Optimus, \u201cI can\u2019t use magic, but G.U.N. doesn\u2019t need to know.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDon\u2019t worry,\u201d assured Orion. \u201cI have planned for everything.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKiddo, I really think you should\u2026!\u201d protested Ironhide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIronhide,\u201d interrupted Orion, \u201cI get that you\u2019re worried about me, but this needs to be done. Someone, somewhere on this planet, can help me fix my magic and I need to find that someone before things get really bad.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, if you\u2019re sure\u2026\u201d sighed Ironhide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLook, G.U.N. will be told that there\u2019s a problem that demands my undivided attention,\u201d assured Orion, \u201cthat way, the whole thing can be uninterrupted. I won\u2019t leave right now, but I will be going at 5:30 tomorrow morning.\u201d Ironhide sighed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGood luck, then,\u201d he bid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
5:30 came, Orion\u2019s quiet alarm buzzed him awake. He got out of bed, grabbed his stuff and headed for the main doors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou sure you don\u2019t want everyone here?\u201d asked a voice in a quiet tone. Orion turned to see his best friend leaning against the wall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLet\u2019s be honest, dude,\u201d replied Orion in the same quiet tone, \u201cthey\u2019ll just say I should take more time to prepare.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThey\u2019re right, you know,\u201d remarked Jazz. \u201cYou shouldn\u2019t leave until you\u2019re absolutely ready.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019ve got the ship and space colony monitoring my position,\u201d assured Orion, \u201cand a crew and friends that I can rely on. I\u2019m good on all fronts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThen, good luck,\u201d bid Jazz. Orion gave a reassuring grin to Jazz and glanced around the base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
