\u201cWhat\u2019s stopping her from stabbing him in the back?\u201d asked Cliffjumper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe fact that she jumped from place to place,\u201d guessed Bumblebee. \u201cThink about it, why was she always moving? She clearly has experiments to run, so, why move? The most logical answer\u2026\u201d Prowl saw where Bumblebee was going.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHer infrastructure vanished the instant Metroplex did,\u201d he realized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBingo,\u201d confirmed Bumblebee. \u201cWith Eggman giving her a place to stay\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt would stand to reason,\u201d figured Optimus, \u201cthat Eggman intends to use her knowledge to conquer Mobius. Autobots, I see no reason to sugar coat it. Eggman and Shockwave are a dangerous combination. We need to beef up our security. Prowl\u2026\u201d he didn\u2019t get very far when the alarm sounded. \u201cWhat now?!\u201d wailed Optimus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIncoming call from Amy,\u201d replied Teletraan. \u201cAudio only.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMust be on her phone then,\u201d remarked Optimus. \u201cPut it through.\u201d Amy\u2019s voice then came through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOptimus, we\u2019ve got a massive problem!\u201d yelped Amy. \u201cMrs. Anderson\u2019s baby girl, Maxy, has gotten bigger!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Kids grow up fast, Amy,\u201d replied Ironhide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEr, not as fast or up as the Sky Spy\u2019s showing us,\u201d mumbled Teletraan. \u201cTake a look.\u201d The Sky Spy gave a picture of Downtown being menaced by a giant baby, female human\/Mobian rabbit hybrid. Well, perhaps \u201cmenaced\u201d is too strong here. She didn\u2019t know any better in this situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026\u2026Just when I thought I saw everything!\u201d breathed Ironhide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAmy, we\u2019re gonna get Team Dark on the way,\u201d called Optimus. \u201cHas Sonic been contacted?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBoth him and Tails,\u201d replied Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGood, we\u2019ll see you there,\u201d answered Optimus. \u201cPrime out.\u201d The call ended, and Optimus dialed up Shadow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis is Agent Shadow,\u201d came the familiar raspy anti-hero voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cShadow, get your team downtown!\u201d directed Optimus. \u201cThere\u2019s a\u2026Sweet Solus Prime, I can\u2019t believe I\u2019m saying this\u2026there\u2019s a giant baby running loose.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026\u2026\u2026There\u2019s a WHAT running loose?\u201d asked Shadow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYeah, you heard me right!\u201d confirmed Optimus. \u201cI can\u2019t believe I said that, but there\u2019s a giant baby, and, according to our Sky Spy, it\u2019s her snack time!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOptimus, if this is a joke\u2026\u201d warned Shadow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLook, just get downtown and you\u2019ll see what I mean!\u201d snapped Optimus. He ended the call. \u201cTeletraan, activate the Ground Bridge. Destination: Downtown Station Square\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCoordinates set,\u201d reported Teletraan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd they\u2019ve been double-checked,\u201d called Ratchet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cONE TIME!\u201d protested Teletraan. \u201cONE TIME I GET YOU GUYS TO THE WRONG LOCATION AND YOU WON\u2019T LET IT GO!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou dropped us off in the middle of the ocean,\u201d remarked Bumblebee, \u201cnot the theme park that Eggman was at.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI nearly lost my Dark Spot!\u201d snapped Cliffjumper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cJust go through already!\u201d hissed Teletraan. The Autobots stepped through the Ground Bridge and arrived at the action zone. Team Dark was there, and Shadow was in disbelief at the fact that a giant baby was crawling around and exploring her surroundings by play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cH\u2026how\u2026how is this\u2026?\u201d stammered Team Dark\u2019s leader. Poor Shadow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m asking the obvious here, but how did Maxy get this way?!\u201d quizzed Sonic as he, Tails, and Amy came up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI think the question is, who\u2019s behind this?!\u201d yelped Optimus. \u201cShe was the size of my pinky tip when I last saw her!\u201d At that point, there was a shuffling noise and a quiet argument.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMove back, you fat\u2026get your hand out of\u2026from me, you meat-sack!\u201d snarled three voices. They came from something covered by a tarp. It didn\u2019t disguise the tank shape under it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNever mind,\u201d remarked Optimus as he moved towards the tarp. \u201cI can guess.\u201d He lifted it up and revealed Shockwave in her vehicle mode with her holo-form shoving Eggman back onto Metal Sonic all in her canopy. They stopped arguing when they saw Optimus\u2019 face. He then went into vehicle mode and activated his holo-form. \u201cAll right, who did it?\u201d he asked. Metal Sonic and Shockwave pointed at Eggman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou built it!\u201d protested Eggman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd you suggested using a child as a test subject,\u201d answered Shockwave as she opened her canopy and shoved her allies out. \u201cThe enlargement process of the Mass Inducer has proven to be successful on organic tissue. The next test is to try it on Cybertronian tissue. The results of the control variable are recorded and thus, the child is no longer needed.\u201d At that point, the barrel of Shockwave\u2019s gun aimed itself at Maxy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSHOCKWAVE, NO!\u201d shouted Optimus as he transformed and flipped her aft over kettle. The shot went into the air, away from Maxy, as Shockwave transformed and landed on her front. \u201cThat\u2019s a child you\u2019re about to shoot!\u201d snarled Optimus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt is a control variable that has served its purpose, nothing more,\u201d argued Shockwave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s my daughter!\u201d roared a woman\u2019s voice. Mrs. Sandra Anderson came running up. She was a human with a twin tail hairstyle and a purple lover. She had a set of buck teeth and a bunny ear headband with a dark purple bow on each end. This was her work outfit at the Hops Diner, a rabbit themed restaurant. Right now, she looked mad at Shockwave. If it were possible, she would have decked Shockwave right there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFleshling, do not interfere with matters that don\u2019t concern you,\u201d ordered Shockwave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s my baby making a mess of Downtown and that\u2019s my baby you threatened!\u201d snarled Mrs. Anderson. \u201cThis matter DOES concern me!\u201d At that point, Prowl and Ironhide made yelps of surprise. Maxy had grabbed them and the impact of her hands caused their holo-emitters to switch off, so they looked like they were cars that could drive themselves. Maxy thought they were toys and made \u201cvroom vroom\u201d noises. The two bots were protesting. At that point, a pair of human scientists with their daughters came around the corner. One was of Indian origin and the other was of African descent. The Indian man was Professor Isaac Sumdac and his daughter was a red-headed, blue eyed teen called Sari. The man of African descent was Doctor Ezra Green and his daughter was Franki. The four goggled at the sight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMaxy?!\u201d yelped Dr. Greene. Maxy then crawled towards the four and they ducked into an alley. Maxy tried to reach for them, but they held the hand back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNow, now, little Maxy!\u201d urged Professor Sumdac. \u201cLet Dr. Greene and I find out what happened, so we can bring you back to proper size!\u201d Maxy then made various baby noises. The meaning behind them was clear; she didn\u2019t want to return to normal, she wanted to play. Sari then came up with an idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMaxy! Behind you! It\u2019s Stephen Hawking!\u201d she called. Maxy bought it and started crawling behind her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2026can\u2019t believe that worked!\u201d muttered Franki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt gets her to behave whenever I babysit her,\u201d explained Sari.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI need to try that,\u201d mused Franki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cProfessor Sumdac! Dr. Green!\u201d called Tails as he flew over. \u201cEggman and I need your help shrinking her down! It was his fault in the first place anyways.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019ll try and help the others slow her down!\u201d replied Sari. She and Franki joined Sonic, Amy, and the Autobots while Shockwave and Metal Sonic were about to bring their weapons to bear on Maxy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWill you put them away?!\u201d shouted Optimus as he tore a chunk of pavement out of the road and shoved it down Shockwave\u2019s gun. Shockwave then busied herself by trying to get the obstruction out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPrime, with your permission,\u201d called Ironhide, \u201cI\u2019d like to act like Unca Io\u2019Hide with her.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI presume that\u2019s what you called the Sergeant when you were a Sparkling,\u201d muttered Shockwave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, I could tell stories about the times I had with him!\u201d laughed Ironhide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSpare me!\u201d wailed Optimus. \u201cPermission granted, Sergeant.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThank you, Sir,\u201d bid Ironhide. He then took to the air in vehicle mode. \u201cOh, Maxy, little lady!\u201d he called in the tone a father would adopt when speaking to his baby child. \u201cWanna play tag with Unca Io\u2019Hide?\u201d The giant baby soon gave her attention to Ironhide and chased him. They soon ran alongside the coast until Maxy looked out to sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBabph!\u201d she said as she pointed to the water. She then started wandering into the sea and sat down in the harbor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat?\u201d quizzed Ironhide. \u201cA bath is more fun than tag? I knew Mobius could be backwards, but that takes the oil cake!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh dear,\u201d gulped Mrs. Anderson as she saw her massive daughter playing with the ferry boat, splashing it up and down saying \u201cBoatie!\u201d over and over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019ll pay for the ferry,\u201d assured Optimus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes, but she\u2019s taking a bath!\u201d yelped Mrs. Anderson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou say that like it\u2019s a bad thing,\u201d mused Jazz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s not the bath I\u2019m worried about,\u201d answered Mrs. Anderson, \u201cit\u2019s what comes after; naptime!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIs\u2026that a bad thing?\u201d asked Prowl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, in these circumstances, yes,\u201d replied Mrs. Anderson. \u201cIf she doesn\u2019t have Pupdaw, her stuffed dog, she\u2019ll throw the biggest tantrum ever recorded!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd\u2026it\u2019s back at your house, isn\u2019t it?\u201d sighed Optimus, guessing the upcoming problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019ll get you home so we can get her toy,\u201d offered Prowl. Mrs. Anderson entered Prowl\u2019s right passenger\u2019s side and they sped off with Prowl blaring his sirens. At that point, Maxy stopped playing with the ferry and stretched, yawning as she did so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cUh oh!\u201d gulped Bumblebee. \u201cShe\u2019s gonna put two and two together!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPupdaw?\u201d asked Maxy. \u201cWan Pupdaw.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m going in,\u201d called Sonic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAren\u2019t you afraid of water?\u201d quizzed Optimus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDesperate times and all that!\u201d offered Sonic. He started running on the water towards Maxy, who was starting to get worried that her toy wasn\u2019t there. Optimus transformed and followed Sonic. \u201cOh Maxy!\u201d called Sonic. \u201cBe a good little girl and Mr. Sonic will get you a lollipop!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cReally?\u201d muttered Optimus. \u201cThat\u2019s the best you can do?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGive me a break!\u201d protested Sonic. \u201cI haven\u2019t spoken baby in a few years!\u201d Maxy wasn\u2019t interested in a lollipop, she wanted her toy and the two tiny things circling her didn\u2019t have it. In frustration, she flipped them over and they bounced on the water a few times before Optimus opened his canopy and caught Sonic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWho taught that kid karate?!\u201d groaned Optimus. Maxy crawled up onto the nearby beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMaxy, no screaming!\u201d called Ironhide, trying desperately to hold the tantrum back. \u201cPlease?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMaxy!\u201d shouted Mrs. Anderson\u2019s voice. She came out of Prowl to allow him to transform and showed Pupdaw to Maxy. It was a stuffed, purple, cartoon dog with a long right arm and a blue hat. \u201cLook! It\u2019s Pupdaw!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPupdaw?\u201d asked Maxy, tears still in her eyes. She then started screaming as she didn\u2019t believe her mother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh dear, I was afraid of that,\u201d sighed Mrs. Anderson as her kid fell on her back and flailed her arms and legs in frustration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhy is she screaming?!\u201d yelped Optimus. \u201cShe\u2019s got her toy!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPupdaw\u2019s too small for her to recognize,\u201d explained Prowl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo, what do we do?\u201d asked Sonic. \u201cGo to the giant stuffed animal shop?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou COULD get something that passes for her toy,\u201d remarked Shockwave. Optimus looked down at the toy, then got an idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMrs. Anderson, may I see Pupdaw for a klik?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEr, sure,\u201d stammered Mrs. Anderson as she handed the toy over. \u201cWhy do you need him?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou\u2019ll see,\u201d assured Optimus. He then brought Pupdaw up close to his face and lined the toy up with Shockwave. He realized something was missing. He handed Pupdaw back and grabbed Metal Sonic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHEY!\u201d protested Metal. Optimus then held Metal to Shockwave\u2019s head. Shockwave and Metal started struggling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRatchet! I need Metal paralyzed!\u201d called Optimus. \u201cHelp me out here!\u201d Ratchet got the idea and opened Metal\u2019s head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRelease me!\u201d ordered Metal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLet go of my head!\u201d snapped Shockwave. Ratchet soon fixed up Metal Sonic so that he had a death grip on Shockwave\u2019s helmet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMy arms!\u201d he gasped. \u201cI can\u2019t move!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOptimus, restore his motor functions!\u201d demanded Shockwave. Optimus responded by pushing her to the giant, tantrum throwing baby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cJust make sure to bark, Pupdaw,\u201d he called.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPupd\u2026no!\u201d Shockwave realized what was going on as the crying seemed to stop. She looked up to see Maxy drying her eyes and looking at her. The giant baby then smiled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPupdaw!\u201d she gurgled happily. Shockwave considered her options. Her gun was blocked, so she couldn\u2019t fire at her to scare her off and with Metal Sonic having a death grip on her head, she couldn\u2019t transform without bits of him entering her internal mechanics and debilitating her, so she only had one option, lacking dignity, but it was the best course of action: she ran for her life. Sadly, unless she had engaged her Cyber-ninjutsu protocols, she couldn\u2019t run very fast. She was picked up by a giggling Maxy and went into her mouth, headfirst. She was then released from her slobbery prison and then hugged tightly. Maxy then grabbed the gun arm and shook Shockwave for a bit. Lots of damage warnings were flashing that she could be separated from her arm at any moment. Maxy then got up on her feet and started walking into the city, slowly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAll right, now all that\u2019s left is to rock her to sleep and tell a story to her!\u201d sighed Mrs. Anderson. She then felt eyes on her and realized what she said. \u201cOh no!\u201d she moaned as she slapped her forehead and ran her hand down her face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo, where are we going to find a giant storyteller?\u201d asked Optimus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGuys!\u201d called Tails\u2019 voice. He came running up with Eggman, Dr. Greene, and Professor Sumdac with the device that made Maxy turn giant. \u201cWe\u2019ve got it set to \u2018shrink\u2019,\u201d reported Tails. \u201cNow, all we need to do\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEr, can you wait until she\u2019s asleep?\u201d asked Ironhide as he transformed to robot mode. He turned to Optimus. \u201cI think, with the device set to \u2018grow\u2019 again, I can rock her to sleep.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat?!\u201d yelped Tails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI miss rocking a baby to sleep and telling a story,\u201d explained Ironhide. \u201cCall me sentimental, or riddled with guilt over Firestar\u2019s death, but I want to have that chance again. With your permission, of course, Prime.\u201d Optimus nodded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPermission granted,\u201d replied Optimus. \u201cTails, go ahead.\u201d Tails then switched it on and fired on Ironhide. He grew to a proper size relative to Maxy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, Maxy!\u201d he called. \u201cWant to hear a story?\u201d Maxy gurgled in anticipation. \u201cWhy don\u2019t we have a sit-down?\u201d offered Ironhide. Maxy crawled over to Ironhide and he scooped her up, holding her in a position that would allow for rocking. \u201cWhy don\u2019t I tell you a story I once told Optimus when he was a Sparkling? This is the story of the Destruction of the Hammer<\/em> of<\/em> Primus<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe\u2026what?!\u201d gulped Optimus, surprised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou\u2019re acting like that\u2019s a bad thing,\u201d observed Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI\u2019m surprised he told me that story when I was a baby!\u201d explained Optimus. \u201cThat\u2019s not a story one tells a toddler!\u201d Ironhide shushed everyone below, then started rocking Maxy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIt was a dark and stormy night on the planet of Cybertron!\u201d he began. \u201cThe wind blew louder than a thousand Insecticons!\u201d He made a wind sound effect as Maxy started drifting off. \u201cThat ship could destroy an entire planet with one single blast! And we, the fifteen Wreckers, were sent to crush it!\u201d Maxy was in a deep sleep at that point as she dropped Shockwave. Ironhide then set Maxy down and gave a thumbs-up to Tails. Tails set the device to \u201cShrink\u201d and shrank the two back to their respective sizes. Mrs. Anderson picked her baby up and gave her the real Pupdaw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAren\u2019t they adorable when they\u2019re asleep?\u201d she asked no one in particular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou\u2019re a lucky woman,\u201d sighed Ironhide. \u201cTreasure her forever.\u201d Mrs. Anderson could sense the sadness in his voice but didn\u2019t pry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIs there a way for one of you to take us home quietly?\u201d she asked the Autobots. \u201cShe\u2019s a heavy sleeper, except in cars.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe Ground Bridge is a quieter way,\u201d answered Ratchet. \u201cTeletraan, do you have Mrs. Anderson\u2019s address?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cGot it,\u201d replied Teletraan. \u201cSending a Ground Bridge.\u201d A Ground Bridge opened for Mrs. Anderson and she stepped through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNo one can beat my stories!\u201d boasted Ironhide once the Bridge closed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYeah, if you want to fall asleep!\u201d muttered Bumblebee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWatch it,\u201d warned Optimus. \u201cIronhide is my father figure!\u201d Bumblebee\u2019s optics went wide when he saw Optimus\u2019 expression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhat I meant to say,\u201d gulped Bumblebee, \u201cwas thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThat\u2019s better,\u201d replied Optimus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWell,\u201d interjected Eggman, \u201cit\u2019s been fun, but Shockwave, Metal Sonic, and I have to go. Shockwave is near enough on her Energon field build-up, she might start shorting out any second. And, with Metal stuck to her head and her gun blocked, she can\u2019t transform.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYes, you DO need to patch things up, don\u2019t you?\u201d replied Tails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI\u2019m afraid so,\u201d sighed Eggman. \u201cWe\u2019ll play another day.\u201d He held his hand out for a handshake. Tails accepted, gingerly, and they shook. \u201cA pleasure working with you, for one time,\u201d said Eggman as he was about to withdraw his hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYes, a pleasure, indeed,\u201d answered Tails as he shook Eggman\u2019s hand again. Then, he let go and let Eggman and his allies go on their merry way. They went through their Ground Bridge as Tails waved goodbye. Once it closed, Tails shook his head. \u201cNever try that with a fox,\u201d he laughed. He then fished out the Cyan and Yellow Chaos Emeralds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhere\u2019d you get those?!\u201d yelped Optimus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cPerhaps using Chaos Emeralds as a power source for our Mass Inducer was a bad idea,\u201d mused Eggman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cEspecially since, thanks to you working with the Autobots\u2019 mutant fox ally,\u201d agreed Shockwave, \u201cthey now have two Chaos Emeralds.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOh, Shockwave, really,\u201d laughed Eggman. \u201cDid you think I wouldn\u2019t at least keep the playing field even at the very least?
