She&#8217;s one of the new types of life-forms: Mechanica, living machines. She&#8217;s considered every member of her crew, past, present, and future, her family. As a skyship, she&#8217;s still in the service of Realmfleet as a military vessel. With Mechanicas appearing, new laws guaranteeing their rights had to be passed, so she now gets a paycheck.
