The fight between the pirates and the Endeavor <\/em>crew continued. Reb and Arsha were dueling atop one of the stronghold\u2019s buildings. \u201cWhy don\u2019t you just give up?!\u201d shouted Reb. \u201cIt will be MUCH easier!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNot a chance!\u201d replied Arsha. She swung her blade but the swing was blocked by Reb\u2019s blade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou cannot win this one!\u201d she snarled. \u201cIt will bring NOTHING but suffering and DREADFUL misery!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd YOU can\u2019t try anything to my ship,\u201d growled Arsha, \u201cwithout the Master Key!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI already have it!\u201d argued Reb. She fished out a key. Arsha smirked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat ain\u2019t it!\u201d she laughed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c…Well, that is just SIMPLY cheating!\u201d sighed Reb. She was then punched in the stomach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis coming from a pirate!\u201d snarled Arsha. Reb shouted, then swung her blade with great ferocity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Bashoon was in the middle of a grappling match with a Lamia, a genetic cousin of Nagas, called Drensek. He was trying to get his coils around her but she was too quick. \u201cSTAND STILL!\u201d he roared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBite me!\u201d snapped Bashoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m TRYING to! Hold still!\u201d hissed Drensek. He finally got his tail around her and squeezed. She tried to get out but the coils squeezed tighter and tighter. Bashoon then opened her mouth and bit into his tail, making him scream and thrash around, causing him to let go of her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

\u201cAre you really sure this is…?\u201d asked the guard mermaid into a communicator. The caller interrupted. \u201cNo, no, I get that, but…no…understood, Sir.\u201d She ended the call and sighed. She then gathered her skirt collection and dove into the water, her legs fusing and morphing into her tail. She then swam off into a secret Realmgate leading to the Over-realm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou biting…!\u201d hissed Drensek as Bashoon got ready to grapple him. A shot then flew between them, destroying a wall. A female Frostik joined Bashoon\u2019s side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTwo against one!\u201d observed the Frostik, Galii, \u201cYou\u2019re out-numbered.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGalii, tell your people to check their fire!\u201d hissed Bashoon. \u201cI almost got hit!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat are you talking about?!\u201d yelped Galii. \u201cThat was from YOUR crew!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell, if it wasn\u2019t from us,\u201d guessed Bashoon, \u201cit must be the pirates!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDon\u2019t be absurd!\u201d snarled Drensek. \u201cThat was a hand-held Punch Cannon! You guys use them!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo, we don\u2019t!\u201d snapped Bashoon. \u201cThe recoil alone makes them illegal!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNot even Frostiks are powerful enough to withstand the recoil!\u201d supplied Galii.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c…You DON\u2019T use them?\u201d asked Drensek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo!\u201d confirmed Galii.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell, we don\u2019t use them!\u201d replied Drensek. \u201cIf neither side has them, then where…?\u201d A horrible thought struck the three of them. \u201cGolems!\u201d realized Drensek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUnder-Splitters!\u201d yelped Galii.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been tricked!\u201d cried Bashoon. All three dashed towards their commanders and stopped them from continuing their fight as Delga entered the fight with Arsha and Reb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWHAT IN THE DEPTHS!\u201d protested Delga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEnsign, what\u2019s going on?!\u201d snapped Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDrensek, you have about TWO seconds to explain your DISGRACEFUL mutiny!\u201d snarled Reb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve got Under-Splitters here!\u201d answered Drensek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat?!\u201d quizzed Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA hand-held Punch Cannon was fired!\u201d explained Drensek. \u201cOnly the Golems of the Splitters have such technology!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd can withstand the recoil!\u201d continued Bashoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt interrupted our fight!\u201d supplied Galii.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI require…\u201d remarked Delga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI CAN\u2019T TAKE IT ANYMORE!\u201d shouted a voice. A Golem then revealed itself from behind a rock, its massive, featureless, hulking form carrying a large cannon for its four-fingered hands to use. Its eyes were nothing more than holes with a red light and the mud and clay that it was made of was reddish-brown. You could see the red light in its mouth. As soon as it shouted, multiple blasts from the afore-mentioned weapons erupted from the rocks behind the main stronghold, the shouting Golem firing as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTAKE COVER!\u201d shouted all three commanders as everyone scattered. The fight between the pirates and the crew of the Endeavor<\/em> was halted as everyone fired at the sources of the shots, the Golems. Bashoon then noticed that Yotek was running TOWARDS the Golems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

\u201cSTOP SHOOTING!\u201d ordered Yotek. \u201cSTOP!!\u201d The Golems didn\u2019t stop until Yotek jabbed his wand under a Golem\u2019s chin. \u201cYOU WERE JUST ORDERED TO CEASE FIRING!\u201d he roared. The Golem then waved his hand to stop the others. They all hid behind the rocks as magic blasts struck their cover. \u201cOur orders were clear!\u201d snarled Yotek. \u201cWe were to let the others destroy themselves! Who fired first?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI did!\u201d answered the Golem that shouted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat position are you?!\u201d demanded Yotek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPosition Five,\u201d replied the Golem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou are now Position Six!\u201d declared Yotek. \u201cYou will shroud and return to base camp!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have not had a decent mana infusion,\u201d reported the Golem. \u201cI am no longer able to shroud myself.\u201d Yotek turned to the other Golems who just shook their heads. Yotek sighed. Islands in ANY Realm are poor in terms of natural mana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPositions Eight and Two!\u201d barked Yotek. \u201cYou will help me provide cover fire as we return to base camp!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUnderstood,\u201d rumbled the two Golems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWITHDRAW!\u201d ordered Yotek as he and the two Golems fired on their enemies. It was suppression fire only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGrand Yotek,\u201d called Position Six, \u201cI regret my disobedience.\u201d Yotek waved the Golem off as it and its unit ran back into the jungle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy Ex!\u201d snarled Bashoon. \u201cAn Under-Splitter!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had those DREADFUL Under-Splitters RIGHT under my nose,\u201d hissed Reb, \u201cand I NEVER suspected!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLooks like we have a new mission,\u201d muttered Delga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCEASE FIRE!\u201d ordered Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYOU TOO, YOU BILGE-RATS!\u201d shouted Reb. All forces stopped shooting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAdmiral,\u201d called Drensek, \u201cwith Splitters here, I don\u2019t see any reason to have the crew of the Endeavor<\/em> as our hostages. Now, as our allies, that might make it more profitable.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIF we get a Splitter to explain their FOUL operations,\u201d muttered Reb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLeave that to Nazay,\u201d replied Arsha. \u201cHe\u2019s one of the best interrogators in the Mid-Realm. His hypnosis will make any Splitter spill it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf he interrogates Yotek,\u201d countered Bashoon, \u201che\u2019s going to have a hard time of it. Goblins are resistant to hypnosis.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe\u2019s made a Goblin talk before,\u201d assured Arsha. \u201cAdmiral Rojam, if we help you get the Splitters out of your territory, will you let the Endeavor<\/em> go in peace?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou have my most SACRED word,\u201d replied Reb. She expanded her slime-suit into its mound form and led Arsha and Delga to her stronghold to plan the strike against the Splitters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

\u201cOperative Yotek at the Scarlet Stream Pirate Fleet Stronghold to Supreme Under-Splitter Ansark,\u201d Yotek called into his communicator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cReport,\u201d replied Ansark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe operation has suffered a hiccup,\u201d reported Yotek. \u201cThe stray shots we fired did NOT incite the pirates and the Realmfleet crew into further fighting. A Golem had finally snapped from lack of proper mana infusions and encouraged the others to fire on them. They stopped fighting amongst themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat about the spare mana we sent you?\u201d asked Ansark. Yotek winced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was necessary to use it to prime the mana bomb,\u201d he explained. \u201cAll of our mana is in it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou have been inefficient,\u201d hissed Ansark. \u201cFix this mistake.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
