The battle was long and laborious for both sides. Minas Tirith\u2019s catapults flung its own rubble onto the enemy, but it wasn\u2019t enough deter them. The archers were shooting at the siege towers the trolls were pushing. \u201cNot at the towers!\u201d called Gandalf. \u201cAim for the trolls! Kill the trolls!\u201d One of the towers then hit the wall and opened up to release the Orcs and Combatmen. Other Orcs and Combatmen were on the ground, trying to breach the gate, but turned when failing to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat are you doing, you useless scum?!\u201d roared the Orc Commander.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe door won\u2019t give! It\u2019s too strong!\u201d reported the Second-in-Command.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDid we not give you breaching equipment?!\u201d shouted Megatron as he stormed up to the Orc in Robot Mode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThey\u2019ve cast shields!\u201d replied the Second-in-Command. \u201cNothing can breach it!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c…With its upgrades, Grond will breach it!\u201d chuckled the Orc Commander. \u201cBring out the Wolf\u2019s head!\u201d Grond, the Hammer of the Underworld, made its appearance to the chanting of its name. Optimus then sighted Megatron, grabbed a few Daleks, and hurled them onto his foe\u2019s head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHEY!\u201d protested Megatron. He then looked up to see who split the Daleks open onto him. \u201cPrime!\u201d he snarled as Optimus landed, his battle mask deployed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOne shall stand, one shall fall!\u201d declared the Autobot leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhy throw away your life so recklessly?\u201d asked Megatron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s a question you should ask yourself, Megatron!\u201d taunted Optimus. Megatron shifted his feet, ready for action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo,\u201d he hissed. \u201cI\u2019ll crush you with my bare hands!\u201d He leapt onto Optimus and began a gorgeous row with him! K\u00e4mpfer managed to get a look as he fired into the Orcs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSomeone has to help Prime!\u201d he called.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPick the enemy off!\u201d ordered Ironhide to the rest of the team. \u201cThat\u2019s all we can do!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBut we have to…!\u201d protested K\u00e4mpfer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cStay away, kid!\u201d replied Ironhide. \u201cThat\u2019s Prime\u2019s battle!\u201d The fight lasted well into the night. As they fought, Denethor led a procession with Faramir carried on a backboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI am Steward of the House of An\u00e1rion,\u201d he declared. \u201cThus have I walked, and thus now I will sleep. Gondor is lost. There is no hope for men.\u201d As the procession went across a bridge, Denethor paused to look at the battle below. \u201cWhy do the fools fly? Better to die sooner than late, for die we must.\u201d He continued the procession until they reached the burial halls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Megumi continued leading her team through Shelob\u2019s lair in pursuit of Frodo. \u201cFRODO!\u201d she shouted, continuing the call as her team did. Perceptor then tripped into the webbing, noticing its construction as he did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFascinating!\u201d he breathed. \u201cThis webbing is laced with Energon, the same way Blackarachnia makes her web!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOf course, she\u2019d learn that,\u201d sighed Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat do you mean?\u201d asked Prowl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAt the beginning of the Vortech Wars,\u201d explained Irina, \u201cshe consumed a Transformers Protoform and was subsequently altered.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAltered?\u201d repeated Bumblebee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cShe IS a Transformer!\u201d elaborated Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c…Shelob? The Shadow Spider? She\u2019s able to turn into a robot like us?!\u201d yelped Bumblebee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLOOK!\u201d called Sam. He pointed out the short Elven sword, Sting. He found the Phial of Galadriel next to it as well. They were both caught in the web. Megumi and Emmanuel freed them from the web and handed them to Sam. \u201cMe?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSamwise Gamgee,\u201d replied Megumi, \u201cI can\u2019t think of a stouter Hobbit worthy of wielding Sting.\u201d Just then, everyone heard a groan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMister Frodo!\u201d yelped Sam. Everyone charged down the tunnel to see Shelob wrapping Frodo up in her web. Sam tightened his grip on the sword and phial and strode towards the Spawn of Ungoliant. \u201cLet him go, you filth!\u201d he hissed. \u201cLET HIM GO!\u201d Shelob carelessly dropped Frodo. \u201cYou will not touch him again!\u201d declared Sam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHENSHIN!\u201d called the Riders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOpen! Turn! Imagine!\u201d announced the Chronicle Drivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Shroud of Cloak!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Fan of Nimbus!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Staff of Crescent!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Hammer of Slam!\u201d Everyone charged at the spider, but she went higher to get more room to strike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cShelob, TERRORIZE!\u201d she shouted. She then went from monstrous spider to bipedal robot with three-digited claws for hands. She was about a meter taller than Prowl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCome on, then! Finish it!\u201d challenged Sam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMy pleasure, Halfling!\u201d hissed Shelob as she pulled out her firearm. Prowl tackled her and attempted to wrestle the gun away from her. Bumblebee leapt onto her back and tried to get a decent shot in, but she bucked the two mechs off of her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo choice, then!\u201d sighed Perceptor. He then took out a small device, flicked it into the sky, gathered energy into his palm, then thrust it into the air. \u201cCYBER KEY POWER!\u201d he announced. The device then returned and fitted into the back of his lens and turning, making it split in half and gather energy into it. He then fired a large laser beam at Shelob, but she dodged the attack, then hurled a large boulder at him. Perceptor was out, leaving Team Sonic to use their team attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSONIC OVERDRIVE!\u201d they announced as Tails kicked Sonic into the air, giving him height enough to do a Light Speed Attack, doing his signature Spin Dash at higher speeds and bouncing on Shelob multiple times. Shelob then grabbed Sonic and threw him into his teammates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFinal Attack!\u201d called the Vortex Drivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFinal Pen Stroke!\u201d announced the Chronicle Drivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRIDER ARCH KICK!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRIDER CLIMB KICK!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRIDER FAMINE KICK!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRIDER HERALD Y KICK!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRIDER SWING KICK!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRIDER HUNT KICK!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRIDER APOCALYPSE KICK!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRIDER HERALD B KICK!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRIDER NIMBUS KICK!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRIDER CLOAK KICK!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRIDER SLAM KICK!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRIDER CRESCENT KICK!\u201d The kicks sailed through the air and hit Shelob square in her chest. There was an explosion as they landed. \u201cPerfect!\u201d declared Usagi I, Kamen Rider Crescent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot really,\u201d snarked Shelob as she stood up. She then fired on the Riders, cancelling their transformations as they gasped in pain. She then caught a batarang and snapped it in half. \u201cI use vibrations and webbing to hunt,\u201d she snarked as she flung Batman into the rock wall. \u201cDid you really think vision\u2019s the only thing I have going for me?\u201d Malak and Oak then charged at her. \u201cWait a minute, aren\u2019t trolls in Sauron\u2019s service?\u201d she asked as she kicked them aside. Dalengor, Lardeth, and Gorfanth then put a massive fireball into the air. Shelob rolled her eyes as she grabbed them and threw them into the fireball, making it dissipate and causing them to land on the ground with severe burns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDai Super Charge!\u201d called Megumi, Kamen Rider Royal, as she spun the wheel twice. She became Kamen Rider Vortex and swung her sword into Shelob\u2019s leg, causing her to only say \u201cOw\u201d and rub her wound. She then kicked Vortex into the gasping heap as it canceled her transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPathetic,\u201d sighed the Shadow Spider Predacon. \u201cWhat can you hope to achieve?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, we just left an opening for Samwise the Brave!\u201d gasped Megumi. Sam then thrust Sting under Shelob\u2019s Spark Chamber! The blade severed a few Energon lines, causing her to clutch her abdomen in pain. Sam then held the phial out in front of him and used it to drive Shelob back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYOU\u2019LL PAY FOR THIS, ORGANICS!\u201d roared Shelob as she slunk back into the darkness. Once she was out of sight, Sam dashed to the still-webbed Frodo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFrodo, Mister Frodo!\u201d he sobbed as he shook his friend. \u201cWake up!\u201d he begged. \u201cDon\u2019t leave me here alone! Don\u2019t go where I can\u2019t follow! Wake up!\u201d Frodo didn\u2019t stir. \u201cNot asleep. Dead,\u201d whimpered Sam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m sorry, Sam Gamgee,\u201d sighed Megumi as she took the Ring off of Frodo. \u201cThe venom in her stinger was altered as well. I almost died. The reason I was cured was because another Predacon gave my doctor the cure. He\u2019s no longer with us. I\u2019m afraid…you\u2019re right. Frodo Baggins is dead.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGuys! Orcs inbound!\u201d hissed Bumblebee. Everyone took cover in a tunnel mouth and observed Shagrat and his pack finding Frodo\u2019s body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat\u2019s this?\u201d he chuckled darkly. \u201cLooks like old Shelob\u2019s been having a bit of fun!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKilled another one, has she?\u201d grunted an Orc. Shagrat took out a tricorder and got a reading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c…No,\u201d replied Shagrat as he closed the tricorder. \u201cEven with her new venom cocktail, this fellow ain\u2019t dead.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot dead?!\u201d whispered Sam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cShe jabs him with her stinger,\u201d lectures Shagrat, \u201cand he goes as limp as a boned fish, then she has her way with them. THAT\u2019S how she likes to feed, FRESH blood. Get him to the Tower!\u201d The Orcs picked up Frodo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSamwise, you fool!\u201d Sam cursed himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDon\u2019t take all the credit,\u201d remarked Megumi. \u201cI made that kind of blunder too. Come on, let\u2019s follow them!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRETREAT!\u201d called Gandalf as the gates fell to Grond. \u201cThe city is breached! Fall back to the second level! Get the women and children out! Get them out! Retreat!\u201d While Gandalf organized the retreat, Optimus still dueled Megatron. Megatron threw a chunk of stone sharp enough to pierce Optimus\u2019 abdomen, but the Autobot leader was undeterred. As he pulled the stone out, Megatron activated his concealed sword and slashed at the open wound. He then jumped into the air as Optimus stumbled backwards. Just as he was bringing the sword down, Optimus delivered an uppercut and knocked Megatron onto his back. He then charged at Megatron as the Decepticon leader swung his leg to try and trip up Optimus. Optimus jumped, leaving him open for Megatron to drive both feet into Optimus\u2019 midsection and shoving him back. He then got into a grappling match with Optimus, his talons inching closer to Optimus\u2019 face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019LL RIP OUT YOUR OPTICS!\u201d snarled Megatron. Optimus then got a grip on Megatron\u2019s legs and caber tossed him away!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFINISH HIM OFF, PRIME!\u201d cheered Wyldstyle. \u201cDO IT NOW!\u201d Optimus leveled his gun at Megatron. The Decepticon leader then sensed an ally coming to his aid, so he decided to buy time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNO MORE, OPTIMUS PRIME!\u201d he pleaded. \u201cGRANT ME MERCY, I BEG OF YOU!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou, who are without mercy,\u201d hissed Optimus, \u201cnow plead for it? I thought you were made of sterner stuff!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNOW!\u201d Megatron shouted to his ally as he went flat. The Witch-King then jumped into the air, startling Optimus, then threw a Morgul Blade at him. His intended target was the Spark, but Optimus twisted so his right shoulder was hit. The blade pierced his steel frame and began its work! Megatron then got up and fired his fusion cannon at Optimus. \u201cFall! FALL!\u201d he bellowed. Eventually, Optimus DID fall. Megatron stood up and leveled his cannon at Optimus\u2019 head. \u201cI would have waited an eternity for this!\u201d boasted Megatron. \u201cIt\u2019s over, Prime!\u201d The Witch-King then departed to deal with Gandalf. He and Pippen were rushing to Faramir\u2019s rescue. Gandalf held his staff in defiance of the former Man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGo back to the abyss!\u201d boomed Gandalf. \u201cFall into the nothingness that awaits you and your master!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDo you not know death when you see it, old man?\u201d laughed the Witch-King. \u201cThis is my hour!\u201d He drew his sword which was set alight, shattering Gandalf\u2019s staff. \u201cYou have failed! The world of men will fall!\u201d declared the Witch-King. That was the idea, but a horn interrupted his boasting. That horn belonged to Th\u00e9oden\u2019s group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo!\u201d snarled Megatron. \u201cIdiot Seekers! I can\u2019t trust them to delay mere horsemen! Still, I\u2019ll have your head as a consolation prize, Optimus!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNEVER!\u201d defied Optimus as he swung one of his axes into Megatron\u2019s side. Megatron cried out in pain and stumbled. He looked around and surmised the battle would be lost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHiro, this is Megatron!\u201d he barked into his comms. \u201cAre the Seekers with you?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThey are,\u201d replied Hiro. \u201cI take it you see the Rohirrim?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI do,\u201d growled Megatron. \u201cAre they still alive or will I have to content myself with punishing corpses?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThey\u2019re alive,\u201d answered Hiro. \u201cThey just went to repairs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI will join them,\u201d declared Megatron. \u201cI need a rift back!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cComing up,\u201d remarked Hiro as a rift opened. Megatron couldn\u2019t resist a jab at Optimus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTell me how Wraith life is going when you get the chance, brother,\u201d he laughed as he returned to Vorton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOptimus\u2019 life-signs are fading!\u201d called Rusty on the Virginia<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cBeam him directly to sick-bay!\u201d ordered Emily. \u201cRatchet, you have a patient!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOn it!\u201d replied Ratchet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Both the Orcs and the Rohirrim had organized their ranks. Th\u00e9oden ran his sword along the spears. \u201cRIDE NOW, RIDE NOW!\u201d he commanded. \u201cRIDE! RIDE FOR RUIN AND THE WORLD\u2019S ENDING! DEATH!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDEATH!\u201d repeated the Rohirrim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDEATH!\u201d Th\u00e9oden announced again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDEATH!\u201d called the Autobots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDEATH!\u201d commanded Th\u00e9oden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDEATH!\u201d shouted Arsha and her crewmates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDEATH!\u201d ordered Th\u00e9oden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDEATH!\u201d called the Vortex and Chronicle Riders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cFORTH, EORLINGAS!\u201d shouted Th\u00e9oden.
