\u201cWe haven\u2019t heard anything from the Joker since that incident with the Sources,\u201d mused Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat just makes me wonder if the Joker is even acting of his own accord,\u201d muttered Batman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c…He\u2019s the butt of Hiro\u2019s gag,\u201d realized Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPalantro!\u201d cheered Arsha as she hugged him. \u201cIt\u2019s been too long!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI also had a bit of a wobble in my faith that I would be a good Captain,\u201d murmured Arsha. \u201cBut, I bounced back. Gotta laugh at life sometimes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTruer words were never spoken,\u201d agreed Palantro. His face then went grim. \u201cHowever, I heard that a clown has poisoned an Elf earlier.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe\u2019s not a clown, he\u2019s an escaped Asylum inmate,\u201d corrected Batman. \u201cHe\u2019s insane and he\u2019s a chemical genius.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA dangerous combination,\u201d gulped Palantro. \u201cWhat\u2019s this disgrace to Jesters look like?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHere he is,\u201d replied Megumi as she pulled out a picture of the Joker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c…Charming,\u201d mumbled Palantro. He then did a double-take. \u201cHey, wait a minute! I saw him going into the abandoned Largandra Playing Card factory an hour ago!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhere\u2019s that?!\u201d asked Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNorth of town,\u201d replied Arsha. \u201cWe need to raid it!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe\u2019ll get away in the crossfire,\u201d argued Batman. \u201cI have a plan that can make him realize he\u2019s the butt of the joke.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Joker looked outside the gate of the factory with only a slight smile on his face. He knew something was wrong, but couldn\u2019t figure out what. He dismissed it as he moved off. \u201cLet\u2019s see, now,\u201d he mused to himself. \u201cI suppose I COULD detonate this factory, but then the resulting gas would kill everyone and Hiro DOES need people alive right now…\u201d The alarms interrupted his thoughts. \u201cOh, for…WHAT IS IT NOW?!\u201d he shouted as he pulled out his gun and dashed towards a security station. He then saw who was passing by the cameras. \u201cWell, it looks like I have bats in my belfry! And a tiger and fox!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Batman, Arsha, and Megumi ran through the corridors of the factory. \u201cWhere?!\u201d snarled Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe\u2019s not going to make this easy,\u201d remarked Batman. They arrived at the large vats of chemicals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhy here?\u201d asked Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBecause it reminds him of how he got that face of his,\u201d replied Batman. \u201cIf he\u2019s going to face us, it\u2019s going to be where he\u2019s reminded of how chemicals warped his skin and mind.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAh, ah, AH!\u201d called the Joker\u2019s voice. \u201cDon\u2019t you know it\u2019s rude to explain the joke?\u201d A light then flashed onto the Joker above an open vat. A rope was suspended over the vat and was holding a young Japanese man over it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI take it he\u2019s not from around here,\u201d remarked Batman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot even from any of the subdimensions that make up this universe!\u201d laughed the Joker. \u201cHe\u2019s from Hiro\u2019s home universe! As a matter of fact, he\u2019s the first of the…er…Reiwa Riders, I believe everyone\u2019s calling him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNow I wish I brought Hiroki here,\u201d muttered Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe\u2019s Aruto Hiden,\u201d explained Batman, \u201cPresident and CEO of Hiden Intelligence, a manufacturer of androids called HumaGears. His real dream is to be a comedian, but he\u2019s been failing in that regard.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHey!\u201d protested the young man, Aruto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHiro\u2019s finally letting me have some fun,\u201d explained the Joker. \u201cI\u2019ve noticed that too many comedians take a rather positive view on the joke that is life, so I needed to get rid of the competition and that fat lie they keep spreading! \u201cSo the Elf you killed was a comedian?\u201d hissed Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI don\u2019t respond well to threats!\u201d growled Arsha as she transferred her hair piece to her waist. She then snapped her fingers and her dress changed into a suit of armor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNice try, girl!\u201d taunted the Joker. \u201cBut I sell the tricks! I don\u2019t buy them!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat about this trick?\u201d asked a voice. Jazz then appeared and got Aruto away from the vat\u2019s opening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWha…wha…where…?!\u201d spluttered the Joker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCyber-ninjas like myself,\u201d explained Jazz, \u201ccan fade into the background with enough training. No hologram generators, no Spark shielding, nothing!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLeading to younger bots to be overconfident,\u201d replied a woman\u2019s voice in a cold manner. Jazz then boosted his audio receptors to hear the whine of a ranged weapon priming itself for a shot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDOWN!\u201d ordered Jazz. Everyone hit the floor as a purple beam of light tore through the space between the vats. Jazz then looked up to see Shockwave stepping out of the shadows with her right arm in gun mode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI suppose I need to work on the silencer for my weapon,\u201d remarked Shockwave. She then converted it back into arm mode. \u201cAs the chemicals will catch fire the instant a stray shot hits them, I see no logical reason to risk my life with firearms.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFor once, I agree with your logic!\u201d hissed Jazz as he holstered his gun and brought out his nunchucks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA most illogical weapon,\u201d muttered Shockwave as she took out a staff. She then twirled it and made various striking motions as Jazz went backwards to avoid them. Batman then charged at the Joker and fought him on one of the gangplanks while Arsha and Megumi freed Aruto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThanks!\u201d he bid. \u201cBoy, I\u2019ve heard of being tied up in dangerous business, but that\u2019s just ridiculous! Hai! Aruto ja…naito!\u201d (Yes! It must be me, Aruto!) He turned around, then pointed towards the two ladies in an exaggerated fashion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c…Even though I know the context, that wasn\u2019t even remotely funny,\u201d remarked Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI don\u2019t know what\u2019s worse,\u201d mumbled Aruto sadly, \u201cmy HumaGear secretary, Izu, explaining my jokes when no one laughs, or someone getting it and still not laughing!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHey, don\u2019t forget me!\u201d called a psycho woman\u2019s voice. A woman in a harlequin\u2019s outfit with a large hammer then came down from the ceiling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHarley Quinn, if I\u2019m not mistaken,\u201d mused Megumi as she fastened her belt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cVortex Driver!\u201d it announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot really,\u201d replied the woman as she pointed to her fancy-looking headphones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA HumaGear?!\u201d yelped Aruto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAn Assassin-type HumaGear,\u201d explained the woman, \u201cfashioned by Mister J to look like Harley Quinn. I suppose you can call me Quinn-Droid! Or the Trigono Magia, whichever works!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMagia?!\u201d squeaked Aruto. The Quinn-Droid then pulled out a silver device with a slot inside it. She held it to her waist and it formed a belt strap. She then took out a rectangular device that was black with brown coloring breaking it up. She pressed a button on the smaller device\u2019s top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTRIGONO!\u201d it announced in a scary voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA Zetsumerise Key!\u201d revealed Aruto. \u201cSimilar to my Progrise Keys!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt sounds like it combines \u2018zetsumetsu\u2019 (extinction) with \u2018rise\u2019,\u201d mused Megumi. The Quinn-Droid then inserted the Zetsumerise Key into the buckle and pressed a button on the buckle\u2019s left side. Red wires then penetrated the Key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cZETSUMERISE!\u201d announced the belt, the ZetsumeRiser. The Quinn-Droid\u2019s human exterior was then destroyed and revealed the inner robot before the robot\u2019s faceplate retracted and dozens of tendrils came out of its mouth. The tendrils then fused with the robot to make a new exterior based on the Trigonotarbid, an extinct common ancestor of arachnids, similar in appearance to Harvestmen and Daddy Longlegs. The new Trigono Magia still laughed in Harley Quinn\u2019s voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCatch me if you can!\u201d it laughed as it fired needles from its mouth. Megumi, Arsha, and Aruto leapt out of the way as the Trigono Magia jumped around and forced them to take cover from her needles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOkay, time to get down to business!\u201d declared Aruto as he pulled out a black, silver, and red device with a yellow circle and a reader shaped like the Zetsumerise Key. He then fastened it to his waist as it formed a belt strap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cZERO-ONE DRIVER!\u201d it announced. Aruto then pulled out a device that looked similar to the Zetsumerise key, but it was neon yellow and evoked a grasshopper. This was the Progrise Key he had mentioned. He then pressed the button on his Key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cJUMP!\u201d called the Key. He then held the Key in front of the belt\u2019s reader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAuthorise,\u201d reported the belt. A giant, mechanical grasshopper with transparent armor then appeared and hopped around Aruto. He then rotated the front of the Key to reveal the inner workings of the mechanical grasshopper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHenshin!\u201d he announced as he inserted the Key into the Zero-One Driver\u2019s right hand slot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPROGRISE!\u201d called the belt as a black undersuit covered Aruto and the grasshopper split and shrunk into armor pieces. \u201cTOBIAGA RISE! (JUMP UP AND RISE!) RISING HOPPER! A jump to the sky turns to a Rider Kick.\u201d The armor then attached itself to Aruto\u2019s undersuit-clad body and his eyes and jewel between his helmets\u2019 antennae flashed to indicate his transformation was complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c…I almost forgot why I put this thing on,\u201d Megumi mentally chided herself as she got up and held her i.d. tag in her right hand before striking her pose. \u201cHenshin!\u201d she called. She then inserted the i.d. tag into the belt and spun the wheel, becoming Kamen Rider Royal. \u201cKamen Rider Royal!\u201d she introduced herself. \u201cEvil will ultimately bow to me!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKamen Rider Zero-One!\u201d announced Aruto. He then pointed to the Trigono Magia. \u201cOmae o tome rareru no wa tada hitori,\u201d he then pointed to himself, \u201core da!\u201d (There’s only one person who can stop you, and that’s me!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEr, Arsha Royana!\u201d stumbled Arsha. \u201cEr…I, er…you know what, forget it, let\u2019s just fight.\u201d The two Kamen Riders and Princess then charged at the Magia and punched and kicked, keeping its fire unfocused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jazz was still dodging Shockwave\u2019s staff as it whacked pipes off and released steam. \u201cCome on!\u201d taunted Jazz. \u201cWhere\u2019s the logic in a Decepticon obeying an organic?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere needed to be only ONE murder,\u201d explained Shockwave. \u201cThe Joker was taking this too far as he saw this to be an opportunity to cause chaos. I will make him return with me once I deliver our alliance\u2019s message.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou killed an Elf just to deliver a message?!\u201d snarled Jazz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCaan is ours to hunt,\u201d replied Shockwave, dismissing Jazz\u2019s rage. \u201cStay out of our way. Do not interfere or more innocents will suffer.\u201d Jazz then grabbed the staff on Shockwave\u2019s downward swing and wrested it from her, tossing it aside and charging at her with his nunchucks. Shockwave then shifted her stance and held her hands in a twin knife-hand style by her right and vibrated them so fast, one could hardly notice. She then thrust forward and struck Jazz\u2019s shoulder armor. It shattered and the blows pierced Jazz\u2019s internal protoform, enough to make him leak Energon. Jazz was flung back by the force of the strike and hit a wall before sliding down and clutching his shoulder in pain to try and prevent more Energon from leaking. Shockwave then threw a device to the ground that spewed smoke and caused a small amount of electromagnetic energy to confuse Jazz\u2019s sensors. Jazz was left alone, still in pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMEDIC!\u201d he called<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While Jazz\u2019s fight went on, Batman and the Joker were engaged in one of their usual duels and the Joker was explaining his philosophy as usual. \u201cCome now, Batsy!\u201d he laughed. \u201cYou can\u2019t tell me you\u2019re not insane! You dress up as a flying rat for some arbitrary concept that gives the illusion that there IS justice, there IS such a thing as mercy! Why not admit it, your condition is like mine; crazy as a soup sandwich!\u201d He laughed again, then…he heard it. Batman…chuckled while blocking one of the Joker\u2019s chops. \u201cIs that a laugh I\u2019m hearing?\u201d giggled the Joker. \u201cYou\u2019re finally admitting it!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBatman, Arsha, stand back!\u201d warned Royal as she spun the wheel. Zero-One then pushed his Progrise Key into the belt a little before it returned to its original position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFinal attack!\u201d called the Vortex Driver as both Riders leapt into the air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRIDER ROYAL KICK!\u201d announced Royal as she stuck her foot out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRISING IMPACT!\u201d called the Zero-One Driver as Zero-One stuck his foot out, Both Riders then sailed through the air and struck the Magia, landing behind it and causing it to explode. Some of the internal lubricants of the Magia then dripped into the vats, causing them to change color. When it was confirmed there were no more attacks, Arsha cancelled her armor, returned her hairpiece to her bun, and pulled out a scanner, getting a reading on the vat\u2019s contents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c…I don\u2019t believe it!\u201d she breathed. \u201cThe lubricants made the chemicals non-toxic! If we can synthesize them, we can finally dispose of these chemicals safely!\u201d Batman took out a test tube and gathered a sample of the lubricants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMEDIC!\u201d called Jazz\u2019s voice. Everyone dashed off to see Jazz clutching his shoulder and gasping in pain. Royal then whipped out her communicator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCrystalocution,\u201d muttered Optimus as Ratchet tended to Jazz back at the Royana\u2019s castle. \u201cShockwave knows more than Five Servos of Doom.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat\u2019s Crystalocution?\u201d asked Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
