After the coronation and Death\u2019s recent news about Igura taking a weapon that could wipe us out, I decided it was time to grab another Foundation Element. Everyone gathered in the Gateway room. Batman, Hongo, Gandalf, Wyldstyle, and I took our places while the rest of the Vortex Riders gathered in a circle. The Rider Chance music played, scaring a few of our newcomers. Ben looked disturbed. \u201cI am not sure this is a pleasant thing,\u201d gulped Rook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019re not entirely comfortable with this, either,\u201d replied Lukas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd today\u2019s riders are\u2026\u201d announced X-PO as the hands rotated. They stopped on \u201cXiomara!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes!\u201d she cheered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd Emmanuel!\u201d called X-PO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTr\u00e8s bon!\u201d replied Emmanuel. They took their places on the Gateway Platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGood luck!\u201d wished Mr. Babineaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCome back safe, Your Majesty!\u201d called Michael. Everybody made their farewells.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEveryone,\u201d I said to my team once the farewells were completed, \u201cCHARGE!\u201d We went through the rift and arrived in 80\u2019s era New York. There was chaos going on and strange lights in the sky. See-through people was terrorizing the citizens, in various states of decay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHEY!\u201d protested Gandalf as he was slimed and robbed of his hat. \u201cAccursed Pilfering Phantasm!\u201d He zapped the creature, making it drop his hat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGhosts?\u201d asked Batman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cG-g-ghosts?\u201d stammered Wyldstyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSurely, you\u2019re not scared of a few specters?\u201d chuckled Xiomara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI ain\u2019t afraid of no ghosts,\u201d replied Batman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe dead don\u2019t rise from their graves without good reason,\u201d mused Hongo. \u201cWe should find out what it is.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAgreed,\u201d I affirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThey look like they\u2019re coming from over there,\u201d observed Batman. I saw the building Batman was pointing to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cXiomara, Emmanuel, does that look familiar?\u201d I asked. I pointed to a light up sign with a ghost trapped in the \u201cNO\u201d symbol. Their faces lit up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGhostbusters HQ!\u201d called Emmanuel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCome on!\u201d cried Xiomara. We then heard something in the sky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIs that\u2026screaming?\u201d I muttered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cUp there!\u201d answered Emmanuel as he pointed upwards. \u201cIt looks like\u2026A MAN AND AN ICE CREAM TRUCK FALLING OUT OF THE SKY!!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLOOK OUT!\u201d warned the man. We got out of the way as the man landed on his back and the Ice Cream truck falling away from him. \u201cMy back!\u201d he groaned. We went to help him up. Hongo\u2019s eyes went wide when he saw the man\u2019s face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTakeru?!\u201d he yelped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou know him?\u201d asked Batman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTenk\u016bji Takeru,\u201d introduced Hongo, \u201cKamen Rider Ghost. He helped me fight Shocker and Shocker Nova.\u201d Takeru then got over his pain and saw Hongo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHongo-san!\u201d cheered Takeru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGood to see you, Takeru!\u201d replied Hongo. \u201cWhat brings you here?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA fight with Igura,\u201d answered Takeru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou met her again?!\u201d yelped Hongo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis was back home,\u201d elaborated Takeru. \u201cI was enjoying a nice 20th birthday with my friends, and a celebration of coming back to life, when she attacked the temple. She started demanding a Hero Eyecon, but I wasn\u2019t about to surrender them. I fought her off, then she made a blue vortex and threw me in there which got me here. Ever since then, I\u2019ve been fighting these ghosts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI don\u2019t think that\u2019s what she was talking about,\u201d replied Hongo. \u201cShe may have been talking about an Eyecon with her lover\u2019s soul, Hiro Adachi.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNever heard of him,\u201d remarked Takeru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFormer Shocker scientist, my biological father,\u201d I explained. \u201cI\u2019m Megumi Hishikawa, Queen of the Feudal Nerd Society. This is Lady Xiomara.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHola!\u201d cheered Xiomara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEmmanuel,\u201d I continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBonjour,\u201d greeted Emmanuel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBatman,\u201d I went on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd not the Shocker monster,\u201d answered Batman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWyldstyle,\u201d I continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd Gandalf,\u201d I finished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re heading to the source of all these ghosts,\u201d I explained. \u201cWant to tag along?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSure!\u201d replied Takeru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLet\u2019s go!\u201d I called. We walked a few blocks to see a green blob possess another Ice Cream truck and make it go across purple goo and fly away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOkay, there\u2019s no way that goo is safe,\u201d remarked Wyldstyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAgreed,\u201d I muttered. \u201cWe need to find a way over.\u201d I then got an idea. \u201cTakeru-san, do you still have ghostly powers?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes, my belt keeps them. Why?\u201d asked Takeru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBecause we can fly everybody over the goo,\u201d I replied. I then drew out my i.d tag. \u201cHenshin!\u201d I announced. Takeru was surprised when he saw me suit up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA Kamen Rider?!\u201d he yelped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKamen Rider Royal,\u201d I answered. \u201cAnd I have more surprises. Time to test the new Ben 10 i.d tag.\u201d I drew out said i.d tag and swapped mine with that one. Because of the aliens Ben turns into, the icons circled. \u201cYou know, I think we should blend in with the ghostly crowd,\u201d I mused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cJust pay attention to it,\u201d advised Batman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019ll be fine,\u201d I assured. \u201cLook.\u201d I selected an icon. \u201cBoom, armor based off of Ben\u2019s Ectonurite form.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBen 10 Jetray Steel!\u201d announced Vortoranii.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat?!\u201d I yelped. The wardrobe closed on me and altered my armor. I gained yellow horns, a red color scheme, and had flight suit wings under my arms. The wardrobe vanished as I felt something seize my vocal cords. \u201cJETRAY!\u201d I called. I then sighed and glared at my belt. \u201cI asked for Ghostfreak, not Jetray!\u201d I complained \u201cAre you seriously gonna act like the Omnitrix?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHey, you\u2019re the one who turned her head when Batman talked!\u201d snapped Vortoranii. \u201cThat\u2019s your fault. Besides, you can fly now, so quit complaining!\u201d I sighed again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEmmanuel, get on my back,\u201d I directed. \u201cXiomara, Gandalf, I\u2019ll have to pick you up by my feet. Hongo, Wyldstyle, Batman, you\u2019re with Takeru.\u201d Emmanuel got on my back and I took off into the air. When I landed on the other side, I heard something say \u201cEYE!\u201d I turned to see a black parka with orange trim and orange eyes dancing around Takeru. He was wearing a belt that looked like an eye covered in slime. It had an orange grip that he could pull and push. The belt was saying \u201cBatchirimin\u0101! Batchirimin\u0101!\u201d (Watch out!) He then made various hand signs before putting his right pointer and middle finger in front of his face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHenshin!\u201d he announced. He pulled the handle, the pushed it back in. The eye closed, then opened again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKAIGAN! ORE!\u201d (Eyes open! It\u2019s me!) called the belt. A suit similar to those of Tron: Legacy<\/em> formed as the parka landed on him and made an orange faceplate with black eyes and a single horn. \u201cLet\u2019s go! Kakugo! (Dead Set!) Go, Go, Go GHOST! Go! Go! Go! Go!\u201d continued the belt. Takeru pulled the hood back and allowed Hongo onto his back. He then grabbed Wyldstyle and Batman\u2019s wrists and took off, landing on my side of the goo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThat\u2019s your persona as Kamen Rider Ghost?\u201d I muttered. \u201cLooks like a Tron<\/em> suit.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cTron<\/em>?\u201d asked Ghost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI\u2019ll explain later,\u201d I replied. We went up a street to see four men in a tricked-out hearse. It had all sorts of gadgetry on the roof and was white with red trim. The men had some sort of technological backpacks with rifles connected by a tube to the backpack. The rifles were spitting out orange streams of light with blue streams of light circling the orange ones. The streams were ensnaring the ghosts. When they did so, they threw out metal boxes and opened them with a foot pedal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThis concentration of spectral activity is too large for us to handle!\u201d called one of the men, wearing glasses. \u201cWe need to return to base and recharge the packs!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cEgon, I thought you said we\u2019d be dead before the packs run out of juice!\u201d remarked another man, going a little bald.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cEgon\u2019s right!\u201d supplied a portly man. \u201cThe PKE is actually messing up the packs\u2019 half-life! We need to head to base so we can deal with the source of these ghosts!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cBase IS the source of these ghosts!\u201d reminded the final man, a black man with a moustache. \u201cRemember?! Peck shut the containment unit down again!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAgain?\u201d sighed Emmanuel as we stayed out of sight. The recent ghost the men had snared started dragging them and their hearse along. They followed, screaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026Well, that was weird,\u201d I muttered<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cStandard fare for those men,\u201d replied Xiomara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWho were they?\u201d I asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe balding one is Peter Venkman, the de facto leader,\u201d explained Emmanuel. \u201cThe black man is Winston Zeddemore, the mechanic. The man with the glasses is Egon Spengler, the brains of the group. The portly man is Ray Stanz, the handy man. Together, those men make up the Ghostbusters.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd this \u2018Peck\u2019 they mentioned?\u201d I ventured<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWalter Peck, an EPA representative that harbors a distaste for the Ghostbusters,\u201d replied Xiomara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd what did he shut down?\u201d I asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe containment unit for the ghosts the Ghostbusters catch,\u201d explained Xiomara. We then heard a fire escape ladder come down, thanks to Gandalf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI believe a higher vantage point will help us,\u201d remarked Gandalf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cGood idea,\u201d I said. We headed to the fire escape when some ghosts started causing trouble. They messed with the traffic lights and caused a 20-car pile-up at the intersection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOh, these wicked spirits are fiendish!\u201d hissed Gandalf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cGet them out of there!\u201d I shouted. We got the people out of the cars and checked them over. Surprisingly, they weren\u2019t hurt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNow, how are we gonna get past that?!\u201d asked Ghost as he cancelled his transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWith the Chroma Keystone!\u201d replied Wyldstyle. \u201cBatman, the red disc is above us on the fire escape!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cGot it!\u201d said Batman. He fired his grapple gun at the ladder above us and yanked hard. It didn\u2019t move. He yanked again, but nothing happened. \u201cEr, Megumi, a little help?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDid he just\u2026?\u201d realized Wyldstyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNo!\u201d said Batman, hurriedly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cStop the presses, I can see it now!\u201d teased Emmanuel. \u201cA headline in the Gotham Newspaper, \u2018Batman Asks for Help!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cQuit teasing him!\u201d I giggled as I swapped out the Ben 10 i.d tag for Batman\u2019s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cBatman Steel!\u201d announced Vortoranii. My suit changed, and I fired a grapple gun. Together, we yanked the ladder down. When we made it to the top, we pushed the disc down. Wyldstyle leapt onto the roof of a nearby diner and got the yellow disc down to the street. All that was left was the blue one. We found it in the trunk of one of the cars in the pile-up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cMy turn!\u201d called Wyldstyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNot yet!\u201d I stopped. \u201cWe need the Lock design!\u201d My left arm started buzzing. \u201cAnd I think I can get us that. Locate Keystone, activate! Initiate Rift detection!\u201d I found the rift opening near a pile of goo. \u201cIdentify source of rift!\u201d The info beamed into my head. \u201cThat one again?\u201d I muttered. \u201cOh well. Locate help from W-1-Z-4-R-D-0-F-0-Z!\u201d The Wizard of Oz\u2019s podium appeared on top of the goo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cMaster build senses, tingling!\u201d giggled Wyldstyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHave at it!\u201d I directed. Wyldstyle punched the podium, turning it into Lego bricks, and built a large speaker out of them. The ghosts nearby saw this and possessed it, making it move to the pile-up and turn around to make a Chroma Lock design appear. The left L was green, the circle was blue, and the right L was red.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNow, my turn,\u201d called Wyldstyle. \u201cChroma Keystone, activate! Chroma lock, reveal!\u201d The lock design appeared. \u201cChroma! Red! Takeru! Chroma! Yellow! Emmanuel! Chroma! Blue! Batman!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhat does she\u2026?\u201d began Takeru before I shoved him into the red paint. \u201cHEY!\u201d he snapped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIt\u2019ll evaporate soon,\u201d I assured. Emmanuel and Batman went into their respective colors. Batman entered the circle, making blue, before heading to the left L. Emmanuel joined Batman and I led Takeru to the right L. The speaker attracted more ghosts before it started playing a snatch of a song.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Who\u2019re you gonna call?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n GHOSTBUSTERS!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The sound blew the pile-up out of the way before the speaker fell apart. We went on our way, avoiding streets with goo blocking the path, and went up one to see the Ghostbusters still being dragged along. The street was blocked by goo at the other end. \u201cLooks like we\u2019re flying,\u201d I mused. I swapped out the current i.d tag for the Ben 10 one again. The alien icons scrolled by. \u201cThis time, I want Ghostfreak!\u201d I selected his icon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cBen 10 Ghostfreak Steel!\u201d announced Vortoranii.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThank you!\u201d I remarked as the wardrobe closed on me. My armor changed into that of a stereotypical ghost with lines all over me. \u201cGHOSTFREAK!\u201d I said. I grabbed Batman, Hongo, and let Wyldstyle onto my back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cEYE!\u201d called Takeru\u2019s belt. \u201cBatchirimin\u0101! Batchirimin\u0101!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHenshin!\u201d announced Takeru. He then pulled and pushed the lever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cKAIGAN! ORE! Let\u2019s go! Kakugo! Go, Go, Go, Ghost! Go! Go! Go! Go!\u201d continued his belt. Ghost allowed Emmanuel onto his back and grabbed Xiomara and Gandalf. We went over the goo and turned right. We went down some more city blocks and flew over more goo. When we went to another intersection, the Statue of Liberty walked by. The Ghostbusters’ hearse dodged the feet. We followed the hearse to see a rift opening, allowing a dropship in police colors to fly into this universe. A billboard advertising the Ghostbusters fell on one advertising Stay Puft Marshmallows and they tumbled onto the street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThese specters are truly restless,\u201d muttered Gandalf. \u201cAnd, rather bothersome!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI\u2019ve got an idea,\u201d called Batman. \u201cI need to get onto the roof of that building.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI got you!\u201d I replied. I flew Batman up to the rooftop to see a crane over the police dropship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cShift Keystone, activate!\u201d announced Batman. \u201cYellow, on the same rooftop as me! Blue, on the crane! Magenta, above the dropship, same height as the crane arm! Shift! Megumi! Blue!\u201d I arrived on the crane and found the controls. I used them to swing the crane arm over the dropship, under the magenta portal. \u201cShift! Gandalf! Magenta!\u201d Gandalf appeared on the arm. He made the hook go down and latch onto the dropship. The pilot tried to get away but ended up making the dropship spin around the arm and smash the billboards, allowing us passage. We went to the alleys and arrived at Ghostbusters HQ to see a rift open up near the battered Ghostbusters. A small attack ship came out and a man with military style hair, black clothing, and a full beard flew out of the rift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNow, that\u2019s what I call a Phantom Zone,\u201d chuckled the man. He approached Egon, who waved some device over him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cRay, this looks extraordinarily bad!\u201d reported Egon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe Foundation Element!\u201d cheered the man. \u201cGood!\u201d He swiped the device from Egon\u2019s hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe PKE meter is a Foundation Element?!\u201d gulped Xiomara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd PKE means\u2026?\u201d I asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cPsychokinetic Energy,\u201d clarified Emmanuel. \u201cThe stuff ghosts are made of!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYour cooperation is noted,\u201d boomed the man that stole the PKE meter. He then threw the Ghostbusters into his ship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAre you sure that\u2019s needed?\u201d burbled a voice. Sludgiona then popped up from the sewers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWithout the Ghostbusters,\u201d boasted the man, \u201cthe pitiful residents of this planet won\u2019t stand a chance! New Krypton will rise from their ashes! All will kneel before Zod!\u201d He flew up to his ship and Sludgiona headed into the Ghostbusters HQ, a firehouse refurbished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cKrypton?\u201d hissed Batman. \u201cThis is the one time I\u2019d be happy to see Superman.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhat\u2019s General Zod doing, working for Vortech?!\u201d asked Xiomara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNot so fast, Zod!\u201d called Batman as he threw a batarang at one of the ship\u2019s wings. It crashed onto the roof of Ghostbusters HQ. \u201cWe have to get that Foundation Element before they can escape!\u201d declared Batman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIndeed!\u201d replied Gandalf. \u201cAlthough, I suspect we may encounter some otherworldly resistance!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cXiomara, Emmanuel, Hongo, suit up,\u201d I directed. \u201cWe\u2019re going in hot!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cUnderstood!\u201d replied Emmanuel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cRider\u2026\u201d began Hongo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHenshin!\u201d called the three.
