The F.N.S, Endeavor<\/em> crew, Autobots, Tarlaxians, and Stooges met in the Gateway Room. \u201cAll of them?!\u201d asked Megumi as she got confirmation that every Chronicle Driver was destroyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNot a single one was spared,\u201d answered Dell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCan\u2019t we make new ones?\u201d asked Richard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe materials were declared unsafe by the Tarlaxian Science Commission,\u201d replied Lukas. \u201cSludgiona risked losing her doctorate in building them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCan\u2019t she make them with safer materials?\u201d inquired Jandro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShe\u2019s tried,\u201d sighed Lukas, \u201cbut the reaction core was a newer type that held more power. Safer materials just didn\u2019t make the energy flow as efficient.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThen why make it at all?\u201d asked Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShe was more focused on \u2018could\u2019 than \u2018should\u2019 at the time,\u201d explained Lukas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe point now stands,\u201d interjected Mickey, \u201cwe former Chronicle Riders need to get used to Vortex Drivers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell, you\u2019ve got sixteen people willing to help with that,\u201d offered Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThank you,\u201d replied Mickey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAll right, let\u2019s pass out the new Vortex Drivers,\u201d called Megumi. Dell passed them around to every former Chronicle Rider. \u201cAll good?\u201d asked Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe got them,\u201d answered Alesandro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHiroki, if you please,\u201d offered Megumi<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAll right, the first thing we do,\u201d began Hiroki, \u201cis set the Vortex Driver to our waists.\u201d Everyone followed along and the belt strap wrapped around everyone\u2019s waists and adjusted for their respective size.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cVortex Driver!\u201d announced the belts. After that announcement, an i.d. tag popped out from the top of the buckles. The new guys stepped back in surprise as the i.d. tags hovered in the air in front of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGo on,\u201d urged Hiroki. \u201cOnce you touch them, they will read off your genetic signature.\u201d The new guys then cautiously grabbed the i.d. tags. At first contact, the i.d. tags formed a picture of their Rider forms\u2019 helmets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHey, they look like they haven\u2019t changed our armor\u2019s appearance!\u201d called Alesandro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThen you\u2019re still using the armor you\u2019re used to,\u201d chuckled Hiroki. \u201cAll right, now, insert the i.d. tag into your belts.\u201d The new guys did as requested. \u201cNow, strike your pose, then spin the wheel to your right.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI presume, before spinning the wheel,\u201d mused Jandro, \u201cwe say \u2018Henshin\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s right,\u201d confirmed Hiroki. The new guys then took their poses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHenshin!\u201d they called. They then spun the wheel and the wardrobe appeared while their clothes were being converted into the undersuit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is familiar,\u201d observed Jandro. The undersuit then fully formed and the armor was attached to the Riders\u2019 bodies. \u201cNow this is more gentler than the Chronicle Driver\u2019s method,\u201d mused Jandro as he became Kamen Rider Cloak again. All former Chronicle Riders kept their old armor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHey, there\u2019s a progress bar on my helmet\u2019s HUD,\u201d called Alesandro, Kamen Rider Striker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have one too,\u201d interjected Dell, Kamen Rider Construct. \u201cIt says it\u2019s reading the i.d. tag library.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s the Vortex Driver generating your i.d. tag collections,\u201d explained Hiroki. \u201cMegumi\u2019s got the power to gain i.d. tags and store it into a special subspace pocket on her belt so it can be copied and given to every Rider. On the right of the belt is the Tag Purse where you store the other i.d. tags.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHow do we exchange Steels without cancelling the transformation?\u201d asked Moon-Kyung, Kamen Rider Lance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a button on the right of the wheel,\u201d lectured Hiroki, \u201cthat releases the i.d. tag without dismissing your armor. Your personal i.d. tag goes into a slot on the left of your waist.\u201d Jason, Kamen Rider Turf, decided to try it. He pressed the button, placed his i.d. tag into the slot Hiroki described, fished a new i.d. tag out of the right side, and inserted it into the belt. \u201cNow, spin the wheel to your right again,\u201d directed Hiroki. Turf did so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGrand Zi-O Steel!\u201d called the belt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGrand Time!\u201d announced the Ziku Driver\u2019s voice. It then sang a small song. \u201cKuuga, Agito, Ryuki, Faiz, Blade! Hibiki, Kabuto, Den-O, Kiva, Decade! W, OOO, Fourze! Wizard, Gaim, Drive! Ghost! Ex-Aid! Build! Iwae! (Rejoice!) Kamen Rider! Grand Zi-O!\u201d Turf\u2019s new armor pieces were gold and had the upper torsos of all the main Heisei Riders with Zi-O\u2019s on the top of his head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNow THIS is fresh!\u201d praised Turf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSo, how does one cancel the transformation?\u201d asked Colleen, Kamen Rider Slam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a button on the left of the wheel that will eject whatever i.d. tag is being used and dismiss the armor,\u201d explained Hiroki. The new guys tried it and returned to their civilian forms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell, that\u2019s not as complex as I thought,\u201d chuckled Jandro. \u201cIt looks like there are more Ascendants on the way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI DO see that in the future,\u201d agreed Dell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThen we should start right away,\u201d declared Lukas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh, speaking of,\u201d called Richard, \u201cI successfully tested mine out. Wanna see?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOf course!\u201d cheered Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHere we go!\u201d called Richard as he equipped his Vortex Driver. It announced what it was and he inserted his i.d. tag before striking his pose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHenshin!\u201d he called. He spun the wheel and became Kamen Rider Guard. He then took out his Ascendant and pressed a button on top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAscendancy!\u201d it proclaimed. Guard inserted the tab into the slot on his buckle and folded it down so the two smaller gears\u2019 teeth lined up with the Vortex Driver\u2019s wheel. \u201cAll set!\u201d announced the device. Guard then pressed the button again and the two smaller gears spun the wheel. As they spun, Guard\u2019s armor color changed to silver with gold trim. \u201cFull Ascendance!\u201d finished the Ascendant as the wheels stopped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKamen Rider Guard: Ascendant Base!\u201d proclaimed Guard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSugoi!\u201d (So cool!) breathed Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWith this kind of power, nothing can stop us now!\u201d boasted Guard. Just then, War appeared with a group of police men. \u201cEr, can we help you?\u201d asked Guard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMickey Mouse, you are wanted for questioning!\u201d snarled War.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cQuestioning?!\u201d protested Megumi. \u201cOn what charges?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe have proof,\u201d explained one of the police officers, \u201cthat Mickey Mouse is willingly aiding and abetting the former Dalek, Caan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat?\u201d asked Guard. \u201cYou\u2019re joking! Mickey saw what a normal Dalek did to his home! He wouldn\u2019t join with Caan!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve intercepted a transmission between Mickey and Caan,\u201d argued War. \u201cIn it, he proclaimed that the virus worked. Now, Mickey, you\u2019re coming with us!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m afraid I\u2019m not,\u201d replied Mickey. He activated the Gateway and dashed into it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHey! Stop!\u201d called Guard as he charged after Mickey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRichard, wait!\u201d called Megumi. Too late. The portal closed. \u201c…Mickey? With Caan?\u201d asked Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

The portal was set for Chima. Laval was surprised to see Guard and Mickey come flying out. Mickey readied his belt and got his i.d. tag out. \u201cHenshin!\u201d he called. He spun the wheel and became Kamen Rider Lux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWh…Guard?!\u201d spluttered Laval. \u201cI haven\u2019t seen you since…!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLater, Laval!\u201d snapped Guard as he chased after Lux. Lux summoned his motorcycle and sped to the forest. Guard did the same and pursued him. He converted his sword to rifle mode and fired on Lux\u2019s tires. The bike flipped over and tossed Lux off. Guard then parked his bike and drew his sword, Lux summoned his Keyblade and the two Riders dueled. Being a Keyblade Master, Lux had something of an advantage over Guard. Guard acted rather animalistic and leapt into the air while raising his blade. Lux reversed his grip on his Keyblade and blocked Guard\u2019s blow. Guard attempted to push Lux\u2019s Keyblade back, but Lux was stronger than he looked for a mouse his size. \u201cMickey,\u201d grunted Guard, \u201cif Caan\u2019s got you in some sort of trouble, you know you can talk to us, right?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m afraid I can\u2019t tell you why I\u2019m working with Caan right now!\u201d replied Lux. \u201cRest assured, you WILL know my reasons why.\u201d Just then, it happened. Guard screamed and temporarily turned photonegative as a Dalek blaster bolt hit him. He crumpled to the forest floor, panting all the while and his transformation cancelling automatically. The person who fired was Caan himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cStrange, I had this thing set for maximum extermination,\u201d he muttered. \u201cHow could I not see his survival happening?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI thought we needed everyone alive!\u201d protested Lux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRichard is too troublesome,\u201d dismissed Caan. \u201cStill, we\u2019ll be long gone before he or his friends can do anything about it. Come. I DID see that we would leave together right about now.\u201d A portal opened and Lux turned back with regret in his eyes before following Caan. A few seconds later, a portal opened and deposited Emily. She waved a scanner over him, then hoisted him onto his shoulders to take him back so she could treat him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

When he recovered, Richard told everyone what had happened in Chima. Laval was also on Vorton for a visit. Rusty and her team checked for Mickey, but nothing came up. Everyone gathered to hear the report. \u201cNot a single trace of that mouse,\u201d sighed Elphaba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI suppose it would make sense,\u201d muttered Arsha. \u201cIf Caan\u2019s been hiding from you all, it would stand to reason that he would hide his allies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhy would they be working together anyway?\u201d asked Optimus. \u201cCaan was once a Dalek and Mickey already faced one, from what Michael told us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCaan can see into the future,\u201d remarked Richard as he strung a theory together, \u201cMickey has powers beyond our understanding. If they think a threat\u2019s coming, it only makes sense that they would work together.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIs there any evidence that Mickey planted the virus into the Chronicle Drivers?\u201d asked Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUnfortunately, yes,\u201d sighed Dell. \u201cHe left a log open in his office at Disney Castle.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m still amazed,\u201d muttered Richard, \u201cthat Mickey Mouse, of all people, would side with Caan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m not!\u201d snarled War.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPardon?\u201d asked Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKeeping secrets and having it blow up in your face seems to be a trait shared by everyone here!\u201d replied War.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWar, what are you talking about?\u201d quizzed Death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMegumi and her team never told Batman, Wyldstyle, Gandalf, and Hongo about Vortech!\u201d began War. \u201cThey decided to keep that bit a secret from the first of the Chronicle Riders! Optimus got cocky with his power! Jansha was supposed to be a member of the\u00a0Endeavor<\/em>\u2019s crew! Arsha was plagued by self-doubt! Amy never told her friends she was the Scarlet Specter! Is there ANYONE who wasn\u2019t afflicted by not telling anyone their problems?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYo,\u201d offered Blackarachnia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou spent most of your time on Mobius,\u201d snarled War, \u201cpretending to be a Decepticon and only told Optimus it was you when you were discovered! Don\u2019t pretend you\u2019re exempt from this, you poison-spewing junk-heap!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGo frag yourself with a laser scalpel and take a swim in the Smelting Pools of Polyhex, Tiny!\u201d snapped Blackarachnia as she crossed her fingers in anger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLieutenant, easy,\u201d urged Optimus. He then turned his attention to War. \u201cWhile a little rude, she DOES have a point; half of that was out of our hands!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt STILL happened, and I\u2019m flat out tired of it!\u201d growled War. \u201cI\u2019m tired of Vorton being invaded! I\u2019m tired of us being blindsided by the enemy! I\u2019m tired of seeing people like the Tarlaxians beaten down! And, most especially, I\u2019m tired of us needing to use Vorton in a war-time emergency!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell, I can agree with you on the whole \u2018Vorton Gets Invaded a lot\u2019 front,\u201d supplied Lukas. \u201cThe good news is that we won\u2019t have that problem anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe didn\u2019t think to ask other universes for defense tech,\u201d continued Dell. \u201cThe Autobots were generous with their technology and it integrates well with the tech we have here. Not to mention, we didn\u2019t really have a good frame of reference for Vorton\u2019s main power core until we met Arsha. Half of it is magic-based and so is the\u00a0Endeavor<\/em>\u2019s central battery. With the help of her engineers and artificers, we\u2019ve managed to fully tap into the power core and now we have 50% more defensive power with plenty to spare for security. It\u2019s just taking a bit longer to install the Cybertronian tech.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLook everything over again,\u201d commanded Megumi. \u201cIf there\u2019s even a hint of Mickey having tampered with it, strip it down and start over. We\u2019ve all been knocked back by what Mickey did. It\u2019s time to pick ourselves up and get back into the fight.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

\u201cI told you we needed everyone alive!\u201d Mickey shouted at Caan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRichard barely contributes to help his wife,\u201d dismissed Caan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou don\u2019t know him as well as I do!\u201d argued Mickey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn any event, it doesn\u2019t matter,\u201d continued Caan. \u201cHe somehow survived my weapon when it was set to maximum.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMaybe it\u2019s not as powerful as you think,\u201d muttered Mickey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019ve looked it over,\u201d called Dr. Eggman as he left the lab. \u201cIt\u2019s working perfectly.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c…Then…how did Richard…?\u201d asked Mickey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt doesn\u2019t matter!\u201d snapped Metaltron as she came into the room. \u201cWhat matters is that we need them all to do as we say!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll get that,\u201d assured Caan. \u201cWe just need to be subtle.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI hardly think shooting someone,\u201d hissed Mickey, \u201cis a good representation of \u2018subtle\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

It was time for a 3V2R update and Blancalmarem and Nemengra were sitting in their usual spots in their garden. \u201cI am Blancalmarem, the white princess of Chizara and the life leader,\u201d began Blancalmarem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am Nemengra, the black princess of Chizara and the death leader,\u201d finished Nemengra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis particular bout of the Second Round ended on a rather electrifying note,\u201d joked Blancalmarem, \u201cas Bolt Boy defeated Southern Belle!\u201d The audience groaned and booed at the pun. \u201cOh, come on, the opportunity was there!\u201d replied Blancalmarem with an unrepentant grin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAwful pun aside,\u201d groaned Nemengra as she pinched the bridge of her nose, \u201cthe two electric-powered heroes engaged in a test to see who could generate the most electric power for a neighborhood.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe betting boards believed that Bolt Boy would lose on account of him being only a fourth grader of the American school system,\u201d continued Blancalmarem, \u201cbut, surprisingly, he powered more of the neighborhood than Southern Belle.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe took the liberty of interviewing Southern Belle,\u201d Nemengra went on, \u201cto see what she made of Bolt Boy.\u201d The giant screen displayed the two Chizaran women interviewing a woman in the stereotypical southern belle outfit, complete with fan and hoopskirt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen you laid down the terms of the bout,\u201d began Blancalmarem, \u201cyou looked a little apprehensive. Would you care to elaborate on that?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell, Blancalmarem, Darling,\u201d drawled the woman, Southern Belle, \u201cI\u2019m not a lady who is too keen on fighting a child. For all the power his dossier said he had, he IS still a boy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThen what could have prompted him to win?\u201d asked Nemengra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat, as God and y\u2019all are my witnesses,\u201d explained Southern Belle, \u201cwas me underestimating how much control he had over his powers. For just a young boy of nine years, he\u2019s surprisingly very well-trained in his mastery over electricity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAny opinions on him fighting evil at his age?\u201d quizzed Blancalmarem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOnly that he shouldn\u2019t dedicate his entire childhood to combat,\u201d answered Southern Belle. \u201cHe needs some time to play and explore.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSo, you\u2019re saying he needs to be a child sometimes?\u201d asked Nemengra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEveryone needs to be a child at some point in their lives, Nemengra,\u201d replied Southern Belle, \u201cMost of you Chizarans can attest to that. Now, as I\u2019m a God-fearing woman, I would NEVER say that he shouldn\u2019t oppose evil, just that he needs to balance the good fight out with exploring his world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell, thank you for your time,\u201d called Blancalmarem, \u201cWe know you have a busy schedule with running your mansion and fighting your rogue\u2019s gallery.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHopefully, we\u2019ll see you here soon,\u201d finished Nemengra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf y\u2019all want to visit my home, just give me a call and we can take tea in my garden,\u201d offered Southern Belle. The screen went dark and Blancalmarem and Nemengra turned back to their audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHer tea-time is to die for,\u201d sighed Blancalmarem happily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhile she does like the American Southern Antebellum style,\u201d continued Nemengra, \u201cshe\u2019s not totally period in a few respects.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFor a start, she\u2019s the head of the house instead of her husband,\u201d Blancalmarem went on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHer husband is black,\u201d supplied Nemengra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHer workers are paid twice the federal living wage,\u201d continued Blancalmarem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd the worker population,\u201d finished Nemengra, \u201cis a mix of all ethnicities. She once said that paying her workers and making sure the population wasn\u2019t totally black was her way of being better than her ancestors.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMarrying a black man and treating him as her partner in every aspect,\u201d Blancalmarem, \u201cis also a step in the right direction.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
