Bolt Boy\u2019s team consisted of his sister, Tornado Girl, his best friend, Quake Boy, Tornado Girl\u2019s best friend, Sunray Girl, and their newest addition, Snowstorm Boy. All of them were roughly eight or nine years old. \u201cSorry about that,\u201d called Moradelia as she reentered the room. \u201cOne of my sons called. Had to take it. What were we talking about again?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019re just talking about how much trouble Bolt Boy and Optimus are in,\u201d giggled Tornado Girl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019re NOT in trouble!\u201d hissed Optimus. \u201cWe just need you guys to help us figure a way out of this!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI know I\u2019ve mentioned the rule about there being no allowance for forfeit while all competitors are decided,\u201d muttered Moradelia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMaybe you should fly up and zap him in the chest and call it a day,\u201d mused Quake Boy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat would kill him, though,\u201d argued Sunray Girl, \u201cand the Chizarans are against fighters even thinking about threatening to kill each other.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, there IS the Synthetic Energon Tails and I have been developing,\u201d mused Perceptor. \u201cIf Optimus uses that, his endurance will be greater against electricity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOr I could make a formula to expand your muscle mass, Bolt Boy,\u201d offered Snowstorm Boy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNO!\u201d shouted Optimus and Bolt Boy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPerceptor, aside from the fact that the effects aren\u2019t permanent,\u201d explained Optimus, \u201cthe last time I tried that Synth-En brew, I spent three weeks going through explosive Energon Waste Discharge!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd let\u2019s not forget what prompted our parents to find out our secret identities after the disaster that was the Speed Formula!\u201d hissed Bolt Boy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt worked though!\u201d argued Snowstorm Boy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe answer is NO!\u201d declared Bolt Boy. At that moment, Megumi and Arsha came in via dimensional rift. Megumi was in her white and gold dress with her crown instead of her new blue rift dress and hairpiece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHow are things going?\u201d asked Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBadly,\u201d replied Optimus. He then did a double-take when he saw Megumi\u2019s outfit. \u201cWhy are you wearing your old dress?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cVerdutha wants a promotional pic of the three of us and insisted that I wear the dress she has in her files,\u201d explained Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, we can\u2019t exactly do that,\u201d grumbled Optimus, \u201cuntil we get this settled!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWait, Sir! Bolt Boy!\u201d interjected Prowl. \u201cI think I found something! Check Article 7 of the General Rules of Combat!\u201d Moradelia then smacked her forehead in embarrassment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Right of Substitution! I forgot!\u201d she chided herself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHuh?\u201d asked Bolt Boy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCompetitors can offer a reasonable associate among their ranks as a substitute to fight in the original fighter\u2019s place,\u201d explained Moradelia. \u201cBolt Boy, you could have someone else fight Optimus for you or Optimus could have someone fight for him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn other words, I might not need to get squished!\u201d realized Bolt Boy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cExactly,\u201d confirmed Moradelia. \u201cBut, you can only have one substitute per tournament. If you use this now, you can\u2019t use it again for the rest of the tournament.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDon\u2019t expect me to fight him!\u201d hissed Tornado Girl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNone of the human members of the Weather Squad are fighting him,\u201d declared Bolt Boy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve taken a few vehicles and made them into our own Transformers,\u201d explained Bolt Boy. \u201cRight now, we have the Weather Copter, the Time Van, and the Spy Jet. I think you\u2019ll want to fight the Weather Copter in this fight. He\u2019s the best fighter out of them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI see no problem with this,\u201d replied Optimus. \u201cLet me see him.\u201d Bolt Boy pressed a button and a robot roughly Optimus\u2019 size with helicopter parts came into the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat\u2019s up?\u201d asked the robot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCopter, this is Optimus Prime,\u201d introduced Bolt Boy. \u201cWe both don\u2019t want to fight each other because I might end up being flattened. So, if you want, you can fight him in my place.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis scrawny thing?!\u201d protested the Weather Copter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c…You\u2019ve got a rude way of saying \u2018Hello\u2019,\u201d remarked Optimus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019ve only been in combat for a year and I bet I could mop the floor with this guy!\u201d continued the Weather Copter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoubtful,\u201d hissed Optimus. \u201cI\u2019ve been fighting for five years and I\u2019ve been training to be a Cyber-ninja and a wizard for 100!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA ninja and a wizard?!\u201d laughed the Weather Copter. \u201cHow quaint! I suppose I can take care of him for you if you\u2019re that scared of him, Bolt Boy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m not scared of him!\u201d protested Bolt Boy. \u201cI just don\u2019t want to be accidentally squashed if he lands on top of me!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWeather Copter, you have been asked to fill in for Bolt Boy in this bout,\u201d interjected Moradelia. \u201cDo you accept?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYeah, sure,\u201d replied the Weather Copter. \u201cI can fly circles around him in both robot and vehicle mode.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, can you?!\u201d snarled Optimus. \u201cThen I know how the fight\u2019s gonna play out! You try to stay in the air and I\u2019ll try and get you to hit the ground at least once! We\u2019ll both use our arsenals and powers to accomplish our goal! No one else can help us and I need to bring you down within an hour!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFine by me,\u201d declared the Weather Copter. \u201cWe can fight in your universe. You CAN\u2019T bring me down no matter where you are!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs the substitute agrees to the terms and has picked the battlefield,\u201d declared Moradelia, \u201call that\u2019s left is for all of the Princesses to approve the Right of Substitution. You shall have our decision within an hour, relative to your universe\u2019s time-scale. Autobots, I shall return you all to Vorton. Once that\u2019s done, I\u2019ll bring Arsha, Megumi, and Optimus to Chizara for their photo op.\u201d She, the Autobots, Megumi, and Arsha then vanished in purple light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWeather Copter, that was rude!\u201d snapped Sunray Girl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe kid\u2019s all talk and no action!\u201d replied the Weather Copter. \u201cI\u2019m gonna win easily!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDon\u2019t come crying to us,\u201d hissed Bolt Boy, \u201cif you lose!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA substitute?!\u201d protested Rosadera. \u201cWhy would Bolt Boy want a substitute?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFrom what I\u2019ve seen,\u201d explained Moradelia, \u201cBolt Boy\u2019s a little worried that Optimus might flatten him if the kid scores a winning shot. The Weather Copter wants to fight Optimus in Bolt Boy\u2019s place. Optimus has to make the Weather Copter hit the ground at least once within an hour while the Copter stays in the air. No one else can help them. I see no problem with this.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI have to side with Moradelia on this,\u201d interjected Verdutha. \u201cBolt Boy may be powerful, but he\u2019s a kid, for crying out loud!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI have to say, I\u2019m not too wild about endangering a kid,\u201d muttered Rojenthi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBesides, who DOESN\u2019T love a good giant robot slug-fest?\u201d asked Azuliterii. Rosadera sighed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI would prefer Optimus and Bolt Boy go outside their comfort zone in terms of combat,\u201d she muttered, \u201cbut it seems I\u2019m outvoted. …Very well, the Weather Copter can fight in Bolt Boy\u2019s place and the bout will proceed as outlined by the competitor and the substitute.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cExcellent!\u201d cheered Moradelia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019ll tell Optimus once the photo-op is done!\u201d declared Verdutha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAll right, hand on the hip, Optimus,\u201d directed Vioazira. \u201cNow, Megumi, if you could raise your left arm as if your hand is resting on something, that\u2019s it. Arsha, if you could hold your hands up as if you had just finished a dress twirl. Oh, lovely!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA classic pose,\u201d praised Verdutha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAll right, smile!\u201d called Vioazira. The camera flashed a few times. \u201cAll right then! That\u2019s all! Good work!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She then cleared her throat and began the usual announcement with a bit of a twist. \u201cThe Substitute has been approved, the challenge has been set, the terms have been agreed upon, and the chance of victory is agreeable for both sides. Grilcaldo, the warm-grey princess of Chizara and the fire leader, will be judging. Tomorrow evening, your fight begins! Prepare and make ready! Good luck!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJust a sec,\u201d called Vioazira. She handed the three their copies of the photo with \u201c3V2R\u201d written in gold on the top-right corner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNow that\u2019s just cool!\u201d praised Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI shall return you all to Vorton,\u201d offered Vioazira.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThank you,\u201d bid Megumi. Blue-violet light surrounded them and they returned to Vorton. Richard approached them as Vioazira left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt went well,\u201d replied Megumi. \u201cOptimus is fighting another giant shape-changing robot on Bolt Boy\u2019s team instead of Bolt Boy himself.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd we got a pretty decent photo together,\u201d continued Arsha. Megumi showed Richard her copy as Arsha and Optimus headed to their respective ships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They were going to stage a mock murder trial with Phury as the Prosecution and Drendar as the Defense. She had to be drilled in legal proceedings with Amavorte as her coach. As she sank into her chair, a time rift opened in front of her desk. The person that used it was Mirai Megumi! \u201cAh, Rosadera!\u201d she called. \u201cGood to see you again!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHow did you get here?!\u201d demanded Rosadera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI walked,\u201d snarked Mirai Megumi. \u201cIn all seriousness, has War gained access yet?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo, thankfully,\u201d replied Rosadera, \u201cbut she\u2019s about to break through.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTell Azuliterii to install this in your satellites,\u201d directed Mirai Megumi as she handed a flash drive to her. \u201cIt will keep War busy and force her to turn her attention away from you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s very kind of you,\u201d bid Rosadera as she accepted the flash drive. Mirai Megumi then turned to leave, stopping only when she heard Rosadera clear her throat. She turned to see Rosadera keeping her hand outstretched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
