Megumi toured the Virginia<\/em> when it was three hours out from Chizara. She felt as, even if she were immortal now, Vortech could do something to take it away and she would die. She felt it would be the last time she saw that panel, that console, that bulkhead, the whole shebang. She made her way to an observation lounge and looked out the window. As she glanced, she noticed Caan standing at the window. \u201c…Are you all right?\u201d she asked. Caan didn\u2019t even flinch. He saw her arrival right down to the second.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s nothing, I just…\u201d for all his ability to see into the future, Caan was struggling to find the right words. \u201c…I DID have a home on Skaro. In fact, that\u2019s what Skaro means in the tongue of my Kaled ancestors, home. Every Dalek always wants to be on Skaro, even those that were created on other worlds. Then the Last Great Time War broke out and I became part of the Cult of Skaro, an order of Daleks that were tasked to come up with imaginative strategies to defeat the Time Lords. Then we were ordered to pack up an army of Daleks and hide in the Void in a Void Ship until it was reactivated and we all found ourselves fighting Cybermen from another universe at the Battle of Canary Warf, believing that Skaro and Gallifrey were gone for good. After the Doctor defeated us, we went through an emergency temporal shift and found ourselves at the construction of the Empire State Building and intended to use it and a passing solar flare to make a new breed of Daleks as our leader, Sec, ordained. Thay, Jast, and I didn\u2019t like that, so we introduced pure Dalek DNA into corpses and reanimated them to be our army. Thay and Jast had Sec, in a form similar to mine, executed and our army turned on them, killing them before I killed the army. After the Doctor confronted me, I flew back into the Time War and retrieved Davros before a monster we called the Nightmare Child devoured him. I went insane from the experience and coaxed Davros into my scheme to destroy the Daleks after I saw what we did. Then Vortech raised me from the dead in this form and I saw that he would destroy us, but could never tell the Daleks that as they would have exterminated me on sight if they weren\u2019t under Hiro\u2019s control. Now they\u2019re free and Skaro\u2019s back, but I can\u2019t go home anymore. I have no refuge, only allies instead of friends, and I know Thay and Jast would consider me just as bad as Sec and would rather kill me. I sometimes wonder what I\u2019m fighting for anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA world where we don\u2019t have to worry about interdimensional horrors,\u201d replied Megumi. Caan looked towards Megumi, then chuckled softly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIndeed,\u201d he agreed. The ship\u2019s intercom then beeped to life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBridge to Megumi,\u201d called Hiroki\u2019s voice. Megumi activated a comms console.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGo ahead,\u201d she directed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA Chizaran fleet is approaching our position,\u201d reported Hiroki. \u201cWe\u2019ve also got some friends adding their ships into the mix; Grimlock\u2019s ship, the Fang<\/em>, Tails\u2019 ship, the Blue Typhoon<\/em>, a ship belonging to Decepticon allies, Scarship, and we also have a couple of ships from Arsha\u2019s world, the Meteor<\/em> under the command of Princess Malnar Emboramii and the High Sky<\/em> under the command of Prince Lardeth Felompha, and we have some allies from the 3V2R helping as well. We\u2019ve got the Klantay<\/em> under the direct command of the Great Demoness, Alfalna, Ultragingana\u2019s ship, the Osaka<\/em>, and Elizabeth\u2019s personal ship, the Ares<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMore allies will help us out tremendously!\u201d cheered Caan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTell them they\u2019re more than welcome to join us!\u201d declared Megumi. \u201cMake sure they\u2019re briefed on the situation before we reach Chizara.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

The fleet arrived in orbit around Chizara to see Vortech\u2019s ships holding their position. They had taken up position on the other side of Chizara and lowered their shields briefly. Megumi, Optimus, Arsha, and the portal generator ground controls were beamed down and the fleet returned to get into a stare-down with Vortech\u2019s. Ultra Magnus was in command of the Ark<\/em>, War was given command of the Virginia<\/em>, and Oak took command of the Endeavor<\/em>. \u201cAll ships, report,\u201d commanded War over the subspace channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cArk<\/em>, standing by,\u201d announced Ultra Magnus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNemesis<\/em>, standing by,\u201d reported Megatron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFang<\/em>, standing by,\u201d called Grimlock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBlue Typhoon<\/em>, standing by,\u201d replied Tails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cScarship, standing by,\u201d boomed Scarship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cVirginia<\/em>, standing by,\u201d answered War.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTiger<\/em>, standing by,\u201d called Hiro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEndeavor<\/em>, standing by,\u201d rumbled Oak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMeteor<\/em>, standing by,\u201d announced Malnar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHigh Sky<\/em>, standing by,\u201d reported Lardeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cScorpion<\/em>, standing by,\u201d replied Dr. Borg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKlantay<\/em>, standing by,\u201d called Alfalna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOsaka<\/em>, standing by,\u201d declared Ultragingana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAres<\/em>, standing by,\u201d proclaimed Elizabeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHammer of Tarlax<\/em>, standing by,\u201d answered Eelinape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSpectrum<\/em>, standing by,\u201d called Rosadera from the Chizaran Mothership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHold position until Vortech attacks us,\u201d ordered War. \u201cWe need to stay as defensive as possible for those three down on the planet\u2019s surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

\u201cLord Vortech,\u201d called a Vortech Clone at the helm of the flagship, \u201cWe have multiple contacts as predicted. They\u2019re holding position as of now.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAny life-signs on Chizara?\u201d asked Lord Vortech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThree, My Lord,\u201d replied the Helmsman. \u201cOn the far side of the planet relative to our position. Most likely, those heroes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell, I have no intention of letting this game end as of now,\u201d declared Lord Vortech. \u201cCaptain Vortech, take command until my return.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAye, Sir,\u201d replied a second Vortech Clone. He sat down while the original summoned a rift to the planet\u2019s surface. \u201cMr. Vortech, open a channel to the fleet.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes, Captain,\u201d confirmed the Vortech Clone at the Communications Station. He flicked a few switches before reporting. \u201cChannel open, Sir.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAll ships, do NOT, I repeat, do NOT fire on the enemy unless ordered to by Lord Vortech or the enemy fires first,\u201d ordered Captain Vortech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Megumi, Optimus, and Arsha continued with their work on the ground controls and gained access to the satellites. Optimus keyed in a command and the satellites fired streams of energy, creating a portal to the unstable pocket dimension. After a few seconds, he shut off the energy streams. Megumi then called up the fleet. \u201cOkay, we did it!\u201d she reported. \u201cGet us out of…!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI see you\u2019ve accepted my invitation to come here!\u201d called Vortech\u2019s voice. The three yelped and whirled around to see Vortech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBy the Ones, it\u2019s creepy when you do that!\u201d remarked Arsha as she put her hairpiece to her waist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI know,\u201d purred Vortech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEr, before you do what you plan to do to us,\u201d Optimus gulped, \u201cI need something cleared up. In fact, we all do.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou may speak,\u201d granted Vortech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou died when the rift loop Megumi and her friends trapped you in had collapsed,\u201d reminded Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHow did a lump of you survive?\u201d asked Megumi. \u201cAre you just a piece of Vortech he left behind before he was trapped in the rift loop?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat wasn\u2019t me that was trapped by you,\u201d explained Vortech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c…What?\u201d quizzed Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe lump of me that powered the Quad, that was me,\u201d elaborated Vortech. \u201cYou\u2019re right in that I did leave a piece of myself behind, but the piece was the being you fought and defeated. I had a constant mental link with it until its demise.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou mean we defeated only a PIECE of you?!\u201d yelped Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA piece with the majority of my power,\u201d replied Vortech. \u201cI had hoped it would win, but it was trapped in that rift loop and died when the loop collapsed! My power was diminished, made less! It was disgusting! I was rendered as powerless as you lower life-forms! All I had were my old powers over my Keystones and…\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWait, YOU created the Keystones?\u201d asked Optimus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI made the Gateway Megumi and her friends use on a daily basis!\u201d elaborated Vortech. \u201cI had only created five of my planned eight before Vortoranii took over that abandoned Chizaran experiment.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe universe that After Academy now uses?\u201d quizzed Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c…Ah, so you ARE immortal,\u201d chuckled Vortech. \u201cStill, from what I see, you\u2019re nowhere near the level of a Chizaran.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd I aim to stay that way,\u201d answered Megumi. \u201cGodhood\u2019s overrated.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI beg to differ, given my own powers,\u201d replied Vortech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSo, that lump of you my friends and I attacked inside the Quad? That was you?\u201d quizzed Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd you permanently weakened me,\u201d growled Vortech. \u201cThat batarang sent me back to Foundation Prime and I waited for my piece to notice me during the battle, but it fell to hubris and was destroyed! I waited for two years, alone on Foundation Prime. When you returned and unknowingly stepped on me while fighting Hiro, I reactivated and split myself into three, one of my parts burying itself into your subconscious. The other two landed in Optimus and Arsha and were charged when you entered the lowest points of your respective lives. I was content to wait until all three fragments of me had completely taken over all of your bodies so I would return and recombine. Ah, but I didn\u2019t NEED to take you over separately.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYeah, the Convergence was a bit of a boost, wasn\u2019t it?\u201d mused Optimus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd what a boost it was!\u201d cheered Vortech. \u201cAs you sought to reunite with your loved ones, all of my fragments had reconnected with each other and I played chess against you all, waiting to see if you would turn on each other or become friends. While you lean towards the latter, you still accepted the invitation for the Verse Vs. Verse Rumble Royale to keep the Master Wand out of everyone\u2019s hands.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat thing is like the Infinity Gauntlet!\u201d replied Megumi. \u201cThat\u2019s too much power for anyone!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cStill, I didn\u2019t need it,\u201d dismissed Vortech. \u201cWhen all three of you tried to contact Vortoranii, I intercepted the transmission and decided to make my presence known. I will admit, finishing the game threw a wrench into my plans, but I had a backup…at least, I did until YOU, Ms. Royana, decided to pull that stunt during our Okamon match!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou will address me as \u2018Your Highness\u2019!\u201d hissed Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s a princess compared to me?\u201d scoffed Vortech. \u201cIn any case, I traveled here to regain a device that would have gathered the Foundation Elements to me instantaneously, only to have searched this entire planet and remember that the Chizarans already destroyed it and its blueprints so it wouldn\u2019t be rebuilt.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s gods for you,\u201d chuckled Optimus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cListen, I\u2019d LOVE to catch up with you,\u201d gulped Megumi, \u201cbut I think we\u2019ve all overstayed our welcome, so we\u2019re just gonna go and…\u201d Vortech fired a beam of blue light into the sky and a sphere of blue energy surrounded Chizara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo beam-outs for you!\u201d snarled Vortech. \u201cIt is as it should be, you and I fighting for the sake of the multiverse. Still, I don\u2019t want your fleet to get clever.\u201d He turned his gaze to the sky. \u201cCaptain Vortech, destroy the enemy vessels,\u201d he ordered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe enemy fleet\u2019s coming at us in an attack formation!\u201d Prowl announced to Ultra Magnus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSir, we\u2019re getting a transmission on a fleet-wide frequency!\u201d called Blackarachnia. \u201cWe\u2019ve all been cleared to strike back and leave no ships remaining!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThen we shall do so!\u201d declared Ultra Magnus. \u201cReady weapons and raise shields! We\u2019re going in!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

\u201cAre all weapons ready?\u201d Megatron asked Ravage as the cat-like Decepticon manned the Nemesis<\/em>\u2019s tactical station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cReady and waiting,\u201d reported Ravage. \u201cStarscream and his Seeker Trine also report ready.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cExcellent!\u201d praised Megatron. He activated the comms. \u201cStarscream, you are go for launch! Transform and Rise Up!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

\u201cI thought you\u2019d never ask!\u201d cheered Starscream as he, Thundercracker, and Skywarp charged out of the Nemesis<\/em>\u2019s hangar, transformed, and joined the smaller fighters in the battle. They narrowly avoided a stream of weapons-fire from an enemy vessel. The attack hit the Endeavor <\/em>instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

\u201cShields holding!\u201d called Malak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cVery good!\u201d praised Oak. \u201cForward torpedoes, launch!\u201d Malak keyed in a command and fired all forward torpedoes at the vessel that shot at them. The vessel was losing its shields, but it still survived the torpedo barrage. The vessel focused on the Blue Typhoon<\/em> as it fired its weapons. The weapons adapted around the Blue Typhoon<\/em>\u2019s shields and hit its hull.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey\u2019re adapting around our shields!\u201d Cosmo called to Tails on the Blue Typhoon<\/em>. \u201cModulating frequencies!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAllow me to show you what this ship can really do!\u201d declared Tails. \u201cEngage the Particle Disseminator!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cParticle Disseminator online and ready!\u201d reported Tobias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFIRE!\u201d ordered Tails. A small light appeared on the nosecone of the ship and grew bigger and bigger until it became a large column of horizontal laser fire that hit the enemy vessel and reduced it to nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cVAPORIZED!\u201d cheered Tobias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEr, not to argue,\u201d gulped Cosmo as she pointed to the viewscreen. Another of the enemy vessels seemed to grow a bud. The bud opened and released tiny specks of metal before the specks combined and formed the ship that was destroyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c…Welp, we\u2019re screwed!\u201d remarked Tobias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

\u201cDid they just…grow a replacement ship?!\u201d yelped Skywarp as the Seekers flew through space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s going to make things difficult,\u201d mumbled Thundercracker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAHEAD!\u201d warned Starscream. Missiles were flying towards them. The Seekers broke formation and barely missed the missiles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYOU MISSED US!\u201d taunted Skywarp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI wouldn\u2019t bet on that!\u201d called Thundercracker. The missiles had changed course and were right behind the Seekers!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBREAK OFF!\u201d ordered Starscream. They split up and flew with a missile tailing each of them!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFraggit all! I HATE Hunter Missiles!\u201d snapped Skywarp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s your move,\u201d Vortech declared to his three opponents. \u201cAlthough, you seem underprepared for this confrontation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLooks are deceiving,\u201d replied Megumi. \u201cI probably can\u2019t kill you, but I bet we can make you mad!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWith your biting wit?\u201d snarked Vortech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNope, with a new powerup!\u201d cheered Megumi. She brought out her belt and fastened it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cVortex Driver!\u201d it called. She then inserted her i.d. tag, then brought out the Transcendant and pressed the button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTRIPLE ASCENDANCE!\u201d it announced. She then put its tab into the Vortex Drover and folded it over the wheel. \u201cTRIPLE SET!\u201d Optimus, Megumi, and Arsha then assumed a ready stance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHenshin!\u201d they all proclaimed. Megumi pressed the button again and the transformation began!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPOWER OF THREE! ASCENDED TRINITY! KAMEN RIDER VORTEX: TRINITY SOUL!\u201d cheered the Transcendant. They had combined into Kamen Rider Vortex: Trinity Soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAll of their power has come together to defeat you!\u201d snarled Vortex: Trinity Soul. \u201cThe one thing you fear! Why else would you want to control such power?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLord Vortech knows no fear!\u201d argued Vortech as he readied his staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s a lie if I ever heard one,\u201d snarked Kamen Rider Vortex: Trinity Soul as she summoned Optimus\u2019 axes. The two glared at each other, then Vortex: Trinity Soul moved her axe slightly, enough for Vortech to charge wildly, his staff raised to strike!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
