The portal opened in the sky and we landed with a thud! Ex-Aid landed on his head. \u201cItai!\u201d (Ow!) he winced as picked himself up and massaged his head. We examined our surroundings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA race track?\u201d muttered Wyldstyle. Three race cars zoomed by.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGoodness!\u201d called Gandalf. \u201cThey\u2019re even faster than Wargs!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMove!\u201d shouted Batman as the cars came around for another lap. He shoved us out of the way while he got ready to jump on the car being driven by the thief. The thief got out of the way as the flag indicated the end of the race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPlayers must beat record lap to win Gold Token,\u201d said an announcer. One of the cars separated it\u2019s rear and folded it down. The sides split away and let hands pop loose. The front flipped up and rotated to become a backpack and allowed a blue head with a purple helmet to pop out. This was Drag-Strip of the Stunticons, and he was mad!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHOW CAN A FLESHLING BEAT ME?!\u201d he shouted. The last car opened. It was done up in a European driver\u2019s style with the driver on the right side of the car. The driver was a guy in a red suit done up like a race car and he had a tire going from the left shoulder to the right side. His helmet was like a Kamen Rider. The passenger was a pink-haired woman in a yellow outfit and skirt with pixels, buttons, and yellow petticoats. She wore a headpiece on the right side of her head that looked like a green speaker with a yellow pixel note with a green outline on it. She was arguing with the mystery Kamen Rider, er, Driver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDrive-san!\u201d called Sengoku.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPoppy!\u201d cried Ex-Aid. The two people stopped arguing. The woman, Poppy, ran up to Ex-Aid and hugged him. The Kamen Driver, Drive, looked at Sengoku.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWho are you?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m Hishikawa Hiroki,\u201d introduced Sengoku as he used the Japanese name order, \u201cKamen Rider Sengoku! I can\u2019t believe I\u2019m talking to Tomari Shinnosuke, Kamen Rider Drive!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKamen Rider?\u201d I asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat?\u201d quizzed Drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou have a car,\u201d I observed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, you ride cars,\u201d argued Drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYeah, but I just saw you come out of the driver\u2019s seat,\u201d I reminded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd being a stupid driver at that!\u201d snapped Poppy. Drive turned on her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou were being a backseat driver!\u201d argued Drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI was in the passenger\u2019s seat!\u201d snarled Poppy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou still gave advice that I didn\u2019t ask for!\u201d shouted Drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis is why I don\u2019t drive, usually,\u201d said Sonic to Mario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI can-a understand,\u201d assured Mario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere\u2019s only one problem here,\u201d snarled Drag-Strip, \u201cand it\u2019s you fleshlings! I can\u2019t win with you idiots harassing me!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019M the only winner here!\u201d argued Drag-Strip. \u201cThat walking fashion disaster said that this was a racing game called Super Sprint<\/em> and racing is my thing! Now, step aside and let me win!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cMight I interject?\u201d asked Clash as she cancelled her transformation. Everyone turned to her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWHAT NOW?!\u201d roared Drag-Strip. \u201cWhat does a fish-lady know about this?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cMermaid,\u201d corrected Livia. Before Drag-Strip shrugged her off, Livia continued. \u201cLook, our team needs that token the thief has. You guys want to beat his best time, if not win. I\u2019m an expert at this game and I did some real racing.\u201d That statement surprised me. \u201cI\u2019ve got an idea, but it needs teamwork and, Signore\u2026er\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDrag-Strip,\u201d introduced the Stunticon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSignore Drag-Strip, I\u2019m gonna need to take the wheel as you seem to have forgotten some of the most important aspects of racing,\u201d continued Livia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhat are you talking about?!\u201d snarled Drag-Strip. \u201cI\u2019m the fastest racer around!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhat about split second decisions?\u201d asked Livia. \u201cWhat about maneuverability? What about knowing when to slam the brakes on? These are important too.\u201d Drag-Strip\u2019s visor flickered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhat do you mean know when to slam the brakes on?!\u201d he yelped. \u201cIt\u2019s a race! You can\u2019t put them on!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cLet me take the wheel and I\u2019ll show you what I mean,\u201d offered Livia. \u201cBesides, I can help you win. When you do, you don\u2019t even need to give me credit.\u201d Drag-Strip considered her words, then sighed and transformed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou better not screw me up!\u201d he threatened. Livia took her hair flower and veil off, entered Drag-Strip, and set them on Drag-Strip\u2019s floor as she buckled up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI\u2019m surprised Decepticons have seat belts,\u201d I mused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThey\u2019re useful for keeping prisoners,\u201d chuckled Drag-Strip darkly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cCharming,\u201d snarked Livia. Drag-Strip was at the start line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cPoppy, do you mind staying in the stands with us?\u201d I asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhy?!\u201d wailed Poppy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou\u2019re not an expert at racing games,\u201d replied Para-DX. \u201cDrive doesn\u2019t need another annoyance.\u201d Poppy gasped. She then looked down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026Pupepopasulk!\u201d she mumbled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cParado!\u201d protested Ex-Aid. He then went to Poppy. \u201cPoppy, we can cheer them on together. It will help them win. Want to help?\u201d Poppy looked up, then smiled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cRight!\u201d she declared. She then went to the stands with us as we cancelled our transformations aside from Drive as he moved his car to the start. The thief did so as well. The racers were ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNot all players are ready,\u201d called the announcer. Just then, I noticed Batman talking to Hiroki and Hiroki put the Batmobile at the start. Batman got in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cLet\u2019s drive,\u201d he rasped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is it! I can\u2019t wait! My ride grumbled. \u201cI hate this. I hate this! I hate THIS! I HATE THIS!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSilenzio!\u201d (Be quiet) I hissed. \u201cWe\u2019ll take first place.\u201d I released the brake a bit, causing Drag-Strip to move forward a centimeter. The thief flinched. Drive gave the hand motion that he was watching me. Batman did nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c3! 2! 1! GO!\u201d called the announcer. I hit the gas, then braked to turn right via drifting. The straightaway had a puddle near the end, so I drifted right again near the edge, making a complete 180 on the turn and went up the next straightaway, then drifted left 45 degrees. I then drifted right after the straightaway and gunned Drag-Strip\u2019s engine, then drifted right again and crossed the finish first. This went on for the next two laps. Soon, we finished in 1st! The thief, 3rd place, slammed his hand on the wheel, Drive was in second and handled his place more gracefully, and Batman was dead last. The Dark Knight brooded about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhat kind of crazy turning was that?!\u201d asked Drag-Strip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDrifting,\u201d I explained. \u201cI intentionally oversteered, making you lose traction in your rear wheels, but still maintained control over you. That\u2019s what I meant when I said to know when to slam on the brakes.\u201d Drag-Strip hmmed to himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe went through four tracks with the thief,\u201d he revealed. \u201cA couple more times, then I\u2019ll see how well I drift on the track after that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnother track?!\u201d protested Batman as the track changed. \u201cGive me a break here!\u201d I took the wheel again and we waited for the countdown. This one had a lot more turns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c3! 2! 1! GO!\u201d called the announcer. We took off. I limited my drifting as there were too many turns, but we got 1st again as we dodged puddles and oil patches. We waited for the track to change again. It was short with shortcuts and a wiggly path. I got my hands off the wheel as I leaned back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAren\u2019t you gonna drive?\u201d asked Drag-Strip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cCall this a mid-term test,\u201d I replied. \u201cI want to see how you drive with a passenger.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026All right,\u201d he muttered. The race began again, and we took off. On the first lap, Drag-Strip didn\u2019t use the shortcuts. \u201cThat was more trouble than it was worth,\u201d he explained. He took them on the second lap and finished in first without shortcuts. The track changed and I got out. I put my hair flower and veil back on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNow, it\u2019s all you,\u201d I called. \u201cGood luck.\u201d Drag-Strip was ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe\u2019ve got to win that token soon,\u201d muttered Hiroki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHush,\u201d I hissed. \u201cDrag-Strip\u2019s got it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c3! 2! 1! GO!\u201d called the announcer. The track had an over pass after a turn. Drag-Strip went with normal steering while Batman and the thief tried to drift. That\u2019s a mistake. Drive was right on Drag-Strip\u2019s bumper. Drag-Strip kept his head and drifted right to avoid a puddle. He dodged a tornado as Drive spun out. He went under the overpass and turned onto the parallel track. He then turned left and went down another parallel to the finish line. This went on until the end of the race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We cheered Drag-Strip\u2019s victory. \u201cWOO!\u201d cheered Wyldstyle. \u201cNice driving!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThose other cars didn\u2019t stand a chance!\u201d called Batman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cShall we claim our prize, teach?\u201d asked Drag-Strip to Livia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNow THAT\u2019S how you win,\u201d replied Livia. We headed to the winner\u2019s circle when Wyldstyle noticed something.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhy isn\u2019t the thief\u2019s car here?\u201d she asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSore loser,\u201d I guessed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAre you sure?\u201d asked Hiroki as he pointed somewhere. \u201cLook over there.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIt\u2019s the thief!\u201d called Sonic as the thief rounded a bend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhat is he doing?!\u201d yelped Gandalf. He was driving right for us! He drove up the Batmobile and jumped out of the car, grabbing the token!<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNO!\u201d called Mario as a portal opened behind the thief. Batman fired his grapple gun, but it came up short as the thief went through the portal!<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOh, COME ON!\u201d snarled Batman. We all went into the portal and ended up on some sort of black background as if there was no up. We were still 2-D and surrounded by enemies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOh brother, we\u2019re in Robotron: 2084<\/em>,\u201d gulped Livia. \u201cA 2-D shoot \u2018em up where the player must fight robots that rebelled against humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSo, what do we do?\u201d asked Gandalf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThis!\u201d hissed Batman as he got ready. We got ready to fight. \u201cI\u2019m tired of chasing! No more Mister Nice Bat!\u201d declared the Dark Knight. We fought off the hordes and got ready for the next wave. The enemies then included one we saw before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cCybermen active!\u201d called the enemies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cCybermen?!\u201d yelped Hiroki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cBad guys?\u201d guessed Emu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYes, now fight!\u201d I replied. We took care of that wave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIf this is a game,\u201d mused Parado, \u201cit seems like something is going wrong.\u201d The third wave had more enemies, Lex-bots, Orcs, \u2026Winkies?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWait a minute!!\u201d I yelped. \u201cI don\u2019t understand! We freed you guys!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou robbed us of our power!\u201d roared a Winkie as his halberd swung at me. I decked him and he faded into pixels. The last wave had the thief! We all made our assault and he fell in half while dropping the token. Suddenly, I felt myself balloon outward. I looked myself\u2026SWEET 3-D BODY, HOW I MISSED YOU! We were all 3-D again and I could see that Emu, Parado, and Poppy were of Japanese descent. I picked myself up and headed for the token, when a large purple hand swiped it up. I looked up to see Drag-Strip smirking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cEr, what are you doing?\u201d I asked. \u201cWe won the games and can share the trophy!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI suppose I must thank you, fleshlings,\u201d chuckled Drag-Strip as I heard large footsteps. That\u2019s when more Transformers stomped into view. One of them looked like a grey Optimus with a square-like helmet. The second was a red bot with a purple visor and face guard in a dour expression. He looked like he transformed into a sports car and was busy polishing himself. The third was white and blue with a panicked expression on his orange face. The fourth was black and had a crazed expression. \u201cThere you are!\u201d said Drag-Strip. He went from last to first. \u201cWildrider! Breakdown! Dead End! And, last, but not least, Motormaster! I finally figured it out!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhat?\u201d snarled Motormaster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhat Menasor\u2019s problem is,\u201d explained Drag-Strip. \u201cWe aren\u2019t utilizing our strengths when we form him. Motormaster obviously has superior strength, so needs to be Menasor\u2019s torso. Wildrider can hit fast and Menasor is right-handed. Dead End can defend well and Menasor uses his left hand to defend himself. Breakdown can catch up to me in terms of speed and is an excellent left kicker, perfect for Menasor. I can provide the speed needed to run as Menasor\u2019s right leg.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou think this combo will work?\u201d snarled Motormaster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cBeyond the shadow of a doubt,\u201d assured Drag-Strip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThen, let\u2019s try it,\u201d growled Motormaster. \u201cStunticons, form Menasor as Drag-Strip suggested.\u201d They transformed into vehicle mode, then feet sprouted from Drag-Strip and Breakdown\u2019s rears as they stood on those feet. Motormaster lowered his rear wheels and split them to form legs. His cab split and formed sockets. Wildrider and Dead End split down the separation between front and back seats and extended to become joints as hands came out of their rears. They flew up and joined in the order Drag-Strip suggested and a large head with a helmet sporting two black horns came up. The gestalt slammed its fists together and roared to the heavens. It then stood still, then started laughing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWell,\u201d boomed the gestalt, \u201cwhat do you know? There IS a benefit in teamwork.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOh no,\u201d I sighed. \u201cYou got complete mental control, don\u2019t you, Menasor!?\u201d I said. The gestalt robot grinned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe first Decepticon Combiner to achieve total mental synchronization!\u201d he boasted. He turned to Livia. \u201cI must thank you,\u201d he laughed. \u201cIf it weren\u2019t for you, my individual components would never have made it as far as they did! The thief grabbed it and held it. It looked like it had a screen in the center, two barrels near a red A button and a chainsaw near a purple B button. The thief pressed the A button and evil music played.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cBaiy\u014d!\u201d (Cultivate!) announced the thief as he put the device on a handle on his right arm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cINFECTION!\u201d growled the device as he and his legs merged back together with his torso and became a more monstrous version of himself. \u201cLet\u2019s Game! Bad Game! Dead Game! WHAT\u2019S YOUR NAME?! The Bugster!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe thief\u2019s a Bugster?!\u201d yelped Hiroki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSnatcher,\u201d introduced the thief. \u201cLevel 3.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI am Menasor, the king of the road!\u201d boomed Menasor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWell, if it\u2019s catchphrases, let us get ready,\u201d I declared. Parado and Emu got out their Gashats. Poppy got out a teal version of the device Snatcher used and put it on a buckle on her waist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cGach\u0101n!\u201d said the device. Poppy then got out a pink Gashat and pressed the button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cToki Meki Crisis!\u201d (Heart Beat Crisis) it announced in Poppy\u2019s voice. That sounded like a dating sim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cMIGHTY ACTION X!\u201d called Emu\u2019s Gashat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cPERFECT PUZZLE! What\u2019s the next stage?\u201d announced Parado\u2019s Gashat. Shinnosuke turned the ignition key on his speedometer style belt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cStart your engine!\u201d cheered the belt. Shinnosuke then inserted a small car with its rear undercarriage pointing up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cRider\u2026\u201d began Hongo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHENSHIN!\u201d we called. Ex-Aid then put the new Gashat into a slot on his original Gashat\u2019s left. \u201cGASHATTO!\u201d Ex-Aid then swung his fist in a circle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDai, Dai, DAI HENSHIN!\u201d he cheered as he opened the Driver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cGACH\u0100N! The Energy Items were discs with different symbols on them. Ex-Aid took one with a running figure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSPEED UP!\u201d announced a voice. Ex-Aid then started running at top speed and punched out Snatcher. He then took out the Gekitotsu Robots Gashat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cGASHUN!\u201d called the belt. Ex-Aid then put the Gashat into a slot on his left hip. \u201cGASHATTO! KIMEWAZA!\u201d (Finishing Move) There was a power-up noise loop as Ex-Aid pressed a button on the slot holder. \u201cGEKITOTSU CRITICAL STRIKE!\u201d Ex-Aid\u2019s fist rocketed towards Snatcher and it hit him, then Ex-Aid slammed his regular fist into the robot fist. Snatcher sparked before exploding and fading into pixels. The Gamer Riders then joined us as we fought Menasor. Good thing too, we weren\u2019t making a dent in him! Drive was knocked aside and landed near me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe gotta finish him quickly!\u201d he called. \u201cOr else, we\u2019re gonna run out of gas!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI\u2019m trying to come up with something!\u201d I shouted. Sengoku then landed near us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWell, come up with something quicker!\u201d he snapped. I was met with confusion. \u201cJUST DO IT!\u201d I shouted. I then heard varying \u201cGASHUN\u2019s\u201d all around as the Gamer Riders powered down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNice Drive!\u201d praised Drive\u2019s belt as Drive took his car out of his brace and cancelled his transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThat was a rush!\u201d called Sengoku as he, Clash, and Ichig\u014d cancelled their transformations. I stayed in my transformed state as Batman inched towards the token, glancing around to check for any interruptions. He snatched it up, then got ready for battle again, swinging his batarang around. All that went by was a pixelated tumbleweed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAll right, let\u2019s get out of this digital nightmare!\u201d hissed Batman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI must admit,\u201d mused Gandalf, \u201cI quite liked that one with all the magical monsters.
