When you had left, your Majesty, I was getting myself ready for a tour of After Academy. All of a sudden, I saw Team 10 rushing to the portal. I headed after them and saw Rusty about to jump after them! \u201cHEY!\u201d I called. \u201cWhat\u2019s going on here?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo time to talk!\u201d rushed Ben. \u201cPlumber in trouble!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat?\u201d I asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe intergalactic police force of Ben\u2019s universe,\u201d explained Rusty. \u201cI\u2019m going with them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cJust a sec!\u201d I protested. \u201cWe can\u2019t\u2026!\u201d The portal opened and Team 10 jumped in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWait for me!\u201d called Rusty as she jumped in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cStop!\u201d I demanded as I followed after them. Too late. We landed back in Springfield. \u201cWhat were you thinking?!\u201d I berated. \u201cDo you have any notion what Megumi\u2019s gonna do to us?! We\u2019re in a state of emergency! She ordered all hands on deck!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe could also play you guys for fools and plant a fake signal to get the Omnitrix!\u201d I replied. \u201cThat thing is the Foundation Element of your universe!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe can\u2019t risk letting a potential Plumber be captured!\u201d snapped Max. There was a tone of finality. I sighed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere\u2019s no talking you out of this, is there?\u201d I sighed. Everybody shook their heads. \u201cAll right, but we stick to the shadows! I don\u2019t want to interfere with any events in this universe.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAll right, let\u2019s find that Plumber and get out of here as quickly as possible,\u201d I declared. We headed down a street, staying out of sight as we followed the beacon marker on the Omnitrix. It stopped when we reached a house. Ben slapped the Omnitrix for a bit, but nothing happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOf course!\u201d hissed Ben. \u201cWhy WOULDN\u2019T you lose it?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEr, Ben,\u201d stopped Rook, \u201cI think the Omnitrix has found the source, actually.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat?\u201d asked Ben. Rook pointed into a house, the house belonging to Homer and his family. They were having a meal and Homer was trying to read the paper when he noticed something.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHey! Who cut something out of my paper?!\u201d he quizzed. He looked around the table to see Bart eating and Marge cutting the bottom of the cereal box out. Homer was clueless. After a few seconds, the phone rang. Homer got up and headed over to get it. It was then that I saw a disc with the Omnitrix symbol on it in his rear pocket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA Plumber\u2019s badge?\u201d yelped Max.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHow did he acquire one?\u201d asked Rook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe need to talk to him,\u201d I declared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI thought you said\u2026\u201d hissed Rusty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019re only getting answers,\u201d I assured. Homer then picked up the phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYello?\u201d began Homer. \u201cOh! Hi, Lenny! …No, why would I need a ride this afternoon?\u201d At that point, Marge decided it was time to vacuum the house. \u201cTO THE BIG ANNUAL WHAT?\u201d shouted Homer over the phone. Marge then \u201caccidentally\u201d bumped the phone\u2019s plug loose with the vacuum cleaner and the call disconnected. \u201cAh, well,\u201d mused Homer as the phone went dead. \u201cIf it was big and annual, I\u2019m sure they would have mentioned it in the newspaper.\u201d He then got a drumstick, but the dog grabbed it. \u201cYeah, it\u2019s a lazy, dog-dangling afternoon,\u201d muttered Homer. \u201cBut, something\u2019s a little off.\u201d He sniffed the dog\u2019s mouth and then waved his hand in front of his nose. \u201cI gotta go get some fresh air,\u201d he said. He went outside to get the aforementioned fresh air and inhaled deeply. He then sniffed more quickly. \u201cWhat\u2019s that smell?\u201d he yelped. He sniffed again. \u201cOnions…chili powder\u2026cumin\u2026juicy ground chuck! It\u2019s chili! Oh my god! I\u2019m missing the chili cook-off!\u201d He then ran into that pink car of his and took off! The Omnitrix beeped as Homer drove through the street at high speeds!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019ll never catch up to him now!\u201d wailed Kevin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI can, with XLR8,\u201d offered Ben. He selected an alien and then changed shape. He grew black fur on the torso, blue fur on the head, forearms, and lower legs, spikes on the limbs, and a black, furry, Wolverine style mask around his green eyes. \u201cFASTTRACK!\u201d he shouted. He looked himself over. \u201cFasttrack\u2019s good,\u201d he mused. \u201cStronger than XLR8. I can carry some people!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBut a Citrakayah\u2019s braking is subpar compared to a Kineceleran,\u201d remarked Rook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo time to argue!\u201d I directed. \u201cBen, take your team and get after him! Rusty and I will catch up!\u201d Fasttrack nodded and grabbed his friends as he took off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We weaved through the streets to arrive at the park where a festival dedicated to chili was taking place. Homer parked and we crashed into the car. Homer either didn\u2019t hear or wasn\u2019t paying attention as he headed to a man\u2019s booth. The sign read \u201cFirehouse Ned\u2019s Five Alarm Chili.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHmm, a bland, timid entry,\u201d he critiqued. Mr. Burns didn\u2019t like that. He threatened to fire Homer as Homer walked away laughing. The last one had Chief Wiggum, a caged creature, and mice surrounding the place. Chief Wiggum was pointing his gun at the mice but didn\u2019t pull the trigger. Ben got a closer look at the creature, then howled with laughter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cReinrassic III is afraid of mice?!\u201d he snorted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI got this,\u201d assured Ben as he selected an alien. \u201cBIG CHILL!\u201d he whispered. He then phased through the cage, made Reinrassic intangible, and got him out. He joined us as Homer shooed the mice away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHow about two?\u201d whispered Big Chill. \u201cScaredy Cat!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Homer took out a can of Buzz cola, drank it, then belched out a long belch, causing the glass to shatter and let a snake circle the island in the pond. It released a jump pad for Homer, then slithered off. \u201cMan, this is crazy!\u201d muttered Homer. \u201cI hope I don\u2019t brain my damage!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The crank was on his side of the gap. \u201cOoookkaaaaay,\u201d muttered Homer, \u201cI think I\u2019m gonna be leaving now.\u201d He turned the crank, and the sun started going up and down! \u201cSunrise, sunset, sunrise, sunset, sunrise\u2026\u201d he went through that loop until the sun fell on his side and shattered into long panels! \u201cNote to self: stop doing anything,\u201d sighed Homer. Somehow, don\u2019t ask me how, he was inspired to build a bridge out of the sun panels. The completed product stood upright, then fell as the gap shortened to the bridge\u2019s length!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis has GOT to be a drug trip!\u201d I gulped. We went across the bridge and noticed that there was nothing to use except rocks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat?\u201d roared Homer. \u201cRocks?! Nothing but rocks?! NO DONUTS?!! RGHERGRHGH! HOMER MAD!\u201d He then grew to giant size and started smashing the rocks! After his tantrum, he noticed that the rocks he smashed spelled out \u201cHELP\u201d. As he shrank and admired his handiwork, he noticed a rock crawling away. \u201cHey, buddy!\u201d he shouted. \u201cGet back there with the other rocks!\u201d He went after it to discover it was an animal. \u201cHuh? A tortoise?\u201d The tortoise was spelling something out. \u201c\u2018Follow the\u2026\u2019\u201d read Homer. \u201cOH! This must be why I\u2019m here! Follow the what?! Follow the what?!! Hurry up!\u201d Someone landed on him at that point. \u201cD\u2019OH!\u201d The person scuttled off, leaving Homer to pick himself up and follow the tortoise. The person came to us, hoping to find some normality. He was a young man in an orange jacket vest and khakis. He looked around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, good, he\u2019s the only one from that world!\u201d he sighed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou mean Springfield?\u201d asked Reinrassic. The young man got a look, then grinned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo, a rebellious Inves?\u201d he mused. He then got out a Sengoku Driver and a Lockseed with an orange on it. \u201cThat, I can understand.\u201d He brought the lock arm up and it spoke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cORANGE!\u201d it announced. The zipper in the sky then appeared, opened, and let a metal orange hover over him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHenshin!\u201d called the man as he put the Lockseed into the belt. He lowered the lock arm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLock on!\u201d announced the belt. Unlike the rock and roll tune of Bravo\u2019s belt, his played a tune like a Japanese War horn remixed. He then lowered the knife and opened the Lockseed. \u201cSoiya! Orange Arms! Hanamichi! (In the spotlight!) On Stage!\u201d The metal orange landed on his head, created a blue undersuit, and then unfolded to make a chest plate, shoulder pads, and back armor to reveal an orange samurai helmet. He then pulled out a short sword with an orange slice blade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKoko kara wa ore no stage da!\u201d he declared. My belt translated it as \u201cThis is my stage now!\u201d He charged at Reinrassic and swung his sword. Reinrassic dodged and tried to get out of the fight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, for the love of\u2026!\u201d I hissed. I drew out my i.d tag. \u201cHenshin!\u201d I then inserted it into my belt and transformed. I activated my bagh naka and blocked the new Rider\u2019s blade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat are you doing?!\u201d yelped the Rider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s not an Inves, whatever that is!\u201d I protested. \u201cThat\u2019s the leader of the Atasian race from another universe!\u201d The Rider stopped struggling and backed off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
