We were dodging rubble of all sorts as we sped along the streets of New York. We were busting ghosts on the way and trapping them. \u201cGood thing we have all the traps with us!\u201d called Peter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYeah, but it\u2019s really uncomfortable!\u201d remarked Hongo. We then stopped abruptly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat gives, Winston?!\u201d snapped Peter. \u201cWe\u2019re only halfway there!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBelieve me, I DIDN\u2019T want to stop, but a web\u2019s blocking us!\u201d replied Winston. We looked outside to see that Ecto-1 was, as Winston said, blocked by a large spider web.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat kind of ghost does that?\u201d asked Hongo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA ghost from your past!\u201d replied a voice. A humanoid monster then came up to us and attacked Hongo. It had spider fangs, a pair of red antennae, three compound eyes in a triangular shape, a web cape, and claws on his fingers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKumo-otoko!\u201d (Spider-man) snarled Hongo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWho\u2019s he?!\u201d asked Peter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe first of the Shocker monsters I took down!\u201d answered Hongo. He took off his pack and fought with Kumo-otoko. \u201cGet going!\u201d he called. \u201cCut the web down!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou heard the new guy!\u201d ordered Peter. We threw our streams at the web and burned it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRider\u2026HENSHIN!\u201d announced Hongo. He transformed into Ichig\u014d and attacked Kumo-otoko. Well, tried to, his attacks just went through the monster. I grabbed a PKE meter and got a reading!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHONGO! HE\u2019S A GHOST!\u201d I yelled as I pointed my wand at the monster. Ichig\u014d then got out of the way as I got Kumo-otoko in the trap. We were about to go, but someone decided to slime the window!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou again?!\u201d snapped Ichig\u014d as he changed back. It was Slimer. He was spluttering angrily. We were about to fire again, but Egon stopped us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI think he\u2019s trying to tell us something,\u201d observed Egon. Slimer slimed the windshield and wrote out what he was saying. \u201cI tried to warn you at the hotel,\u201d read Egon, \u201cbut you didn\u2019t listen. My presence there was to relay messages for a ghost resistance against Gozer\u2019s next rise. Zuul and Vinz Clortho have already taken their former hosts and are on top of Spook Central. They\u2019ve already started the ritual and now you\u2019ve trapped the soldiers needed to resist Gozer in the event that a form is chosen for it. It\u2019s not going to be the Stay Puft Marshmallow man again. You idiots have just weakened our only chance of getting through the nightmare of Gozer.\u201d We were stunned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI think we better release the ghosts,\u201d suggested Ray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis is a one-time deal, spud,\u201d clarified Peter. \u201cAfter that, it\u2019s business as usual.\u201d Slimer nodded as we opened up the traps. They weren\u2019t too happy, even Kumo-otoko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDo you know how cramped it is in there?!\u201d he roared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKumo-otoko,\u201d assured Hongo, \u201cwe know your mission here. We made a mistake, but we\u2019re willing to help.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, really?\u201d asked Kumo-otoko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHelp us beat Gozer and we can get you a better place in the afterlife,\u201d replied Xiomara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026If you double-cross me, I\u2019ll make you regret it forever,\u201d warned Kumo-otoko. He and the other ghosts joined us as we charged towards Spook Central. We were nearly there when a Subway train came up from beneath us. It blocked our path, so we had to find another way. We soon arrived at the apartment building and found ourselves blocked by ghosts. Slimer spluttered something.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThose ghosts WANT Gozer to come back,\u201d translated a ghost of the Industrial Revolution. We soon zapped and trapped them. We headed up to see ghosts blocking the hall along with Heather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTHAT\u2019S THEM!\u201d roared Heather. The ghosts blocked our way as we leveled our wands at them. We started trapping, but Heather blocked our way with the rubble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, it was fun while it lasted, but this is getting out of hand,\u201d I sighed. I fastened my Vortex Driver back on. Xiomara sighed and did the same. Hongo sighed as well, then he struck his pose as we drew out our i.d tags.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRider\u2026\u201d began Hongo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHenshin!\u201d we all announced as we donned our Rider personas. We then drew our weapons and converted them into their ranged modes. We aimed and destroyed the rubble, allowing us access to the roof. There was junk food everywhere!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis looks extraordinarily bad,\u201d reported Egon as he looked at the PKE meter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLook at all the junk food!\u201d remarked Peter. We then heard messy eating, coming from Slimer. \u201cSlow down,\u201d directed Peter. \u201cChew your food.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe have bigger problems than Slimer\u2019s eating habits,\u201d gulped Seeker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLike what?\u201d I asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLike Dana and Louis in their Terror Dog forms,\u201d replied Seeker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWHAT?!\u201d we all yelped as we turned the corner. She was right, Vinz Clortho the Keymaster and Zuul the Gatekeeper were back and ready to serve Gozer. Oh, did I mention Gozer was back as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a girl again,\u201d observed Ray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s still Gozer,\u201d replied Egon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, whatever it is,\u201d declared Peter, \u201cit\u2019s gotta get by us again!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA task I can do easily now!\u201d boasted Gozer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAgainst three new gods?\u201d I asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou are a god?\u201d quizzed Gozer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOui,\u201d I replied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThen\u2026DIE!\u201d roared Gozer as it fired on us. We were nearly blown off the building! As we picked ourselves up, Ray decided to call Winston out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSay yes when someone asks if you\u2019re a god, huh?!\u201d he snapped. \u201cThat thing nearly roasted us!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI shall make sure to completely roast you this time!\u201d declared Gozer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot a chance!\u201d I replied. \u201cALLONS-Y!\u201d We charged at Gozer, but she leapt over our heads. This time, she was swinging punches. Heather joined in and attacked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGive it up!\u201d demanded Heather. \u201cI already got the Pestilence and Famine parts! Let me have the War part!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGot to Hell!\u201d shouted Seeker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBeen there, done that!\u201d replied Heather. She swung a punch, but Seeker ducked. Heather\u2019s punch connected to a pillar that shattered, revealing a lamp. It didn\u2019t have power, but Seeker tricked Gozer into shooting the thing with electricity and pointed it at Gozer. It was blinded, allowing the Ghostbusters to fire. It got away from the streams and sent Zuul and Vinz after us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTry not to hurt Zuul!\u201d called Peter. The one with shorter horns leapt onto me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat about her trying to hurt me?!\u201d I countered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd what about Vinz?!\u201d called Ichig\u014d as Vinz swatted him. I then tricked Zuul into knocking down another pillar to reveal another lamp. As I pointed it at Gozer, it fired again and got blinded again. Gozer destroyed that lamp, then landed on the stone bench, facing us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe better go full stream!\u201d remarked Egon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTHROW IT!\u201d ordered Peter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cUn momento!\u201d called Xiomara. At that point, we Riders powered down and activated our packs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNOW!\u201d I yelled. We all fired at Gozer. It tried to throw up a barrier but it disappeared by our streams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe neutronised it!\u201d replied Ray. \u201cYou know what that means?! A Complete Particle Reversal!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh well, them\u2019s the breaks,\u201d sighed Heather. \u201cStill, it was a nice little war. I got what I needed.\u201d She then held up the War part!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGIVE THAT BACK!\u201d I roared as I leveled my Neutrino wand at her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot a chance, you rifle-dropping coward!\u201d replied Heather. \u201cYou and that taco-snorting moron can go to Hell!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWHAT WAS THAT?!\u201d screamed Xiomara. We fired, but Heather jumped off the building! We looked over the side but couldn\u2019t find her. She had escaped us. \u201c\u00a1CARAJO!\u201d (Damn) swore Xiomara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIs everything alright?\u201d asked a voice. We turned to see a dimensional portal close with Sludgiona with us!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAre you\u2026?\u201d I ventured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI found my people!\u201d burbled Sludgiona. \u201cI no longer have acclimation syndrome! I can travel the multiverse with no ill effects!\u201d At that point, a storm flashed lightning at us and Gozer spoke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSub-creatures! Gozer the Gozerian, Gozer the Destructor, Volgus Zildrohar, the Traveler has come! Choose and perish!\u201d it declared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cChoose?!\u201d asked Hongo. \u201cI don\u2019t understand!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cChoose! Choose the form of the Destructor!\u201d demanded Gozer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGozer needs a new form to destroy the world!\u201d I elaborated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhatever we think of, it becomes that!\u201d continued Xiomara. \u201cIf we think of Hello Kitty, Hello Kitty will destroy the world!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAll right, empty them brains!\u201d called Peter. \u201cCome on! Empty, empty, empty! That means you too, Ray!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe choice is made!\u201d declared Gozer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWHOA! WHOA! WHOA!\u201d shouted Peter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Traveler has come!\u201d boomed Gozer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNOBODY CHOOSED ANYTHING!\u201d insisted Peter. He then turned to us and started pointing. \u201cDid you choose anything?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo!\u201d replied Egon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDid you?!\u201d asked Peter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMy mind is totally blank!\u201d answered Winston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat about you?!\u201d quizzed Peter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot this time!\u201d assured Ray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNew guys?!\u201d asked Peter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot me!\u201d I replied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019ve seen this scenario enough times to know better!\u201d remarked Xiomara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t choose anything!\u201d declared Peter. At that point, a horrible thought struck us. We turned to Sludgiona, who looked incredibly guilty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026I couldn\u2019t help it,\u201d she burbled. \u201cIt just popped in there.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat?\u201d asked Xiomara. \u201cWhat just popped in there?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2026I tried to think of the most harmless\u2026\u201d replied Sludgiona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLOOK!\u201d shouted Egon. We heard giant footsteps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo!\u201d breathed Ray. \u201cIt can\u2019t be!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat is it?!\u201d asked Hongo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s impossible!\u201d yelped Sludgiona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat did you do, Sludgy?!\u201d snapped Peter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, S**T!\u201d swore Winston. Then\u2026we saw it. A sailor hat with the words \u201cStay Puft\u201d on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026She didn\u2019t!\u201d gasped Xiomara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOf course, she did!\u201d I hissed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat did she do?!\u201d asked Hongo. \u201cWhat is that?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026It\u2019s the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man,\u201d explained Ray. Yes, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, fat, made of marshmallows, and wearing a sailor hat and collar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNow this is just silly,\u201d sighed Peter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI thought such a form would never bring harm!\u201d gulped Sludgiona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell,\u201d mused Ray, \u201cit did once before.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd Gozer remembers that form!\u201d called Xiomara. She pointed to the creature as it examined its hands and roared in frustration. It then stepped on a church like a two-year-old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSTOP STEPPING ON CHURCHES!\u201d shouted Peter. Gozer then turned its head up and gave an evil grin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh no,\u201d gulped Winston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPETER!\u201d we shouted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMother puss bucket!\u201d snarled Peter as he realized his mistake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, we can start damaging it!\u201d called Ray. \u201cOne! Two! Three! ROAST HIM!\u201d We threw our streams, but Gozer wasn\u2019t about to be caught off-guard again. It dodged as it made its way to the building. It climbed all the way up! It then raised a fist!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLOOK OUT!\u201d I warned. We got away from the fist as it connected to the roof. It then pulled the fist back and then spat out three globs of marshmallow goo. Something then moved in the goo! Then, they rose out! Human sized Stay Puft Marshmallow Men! \u201cAll right, I can\u2019t deal with this!\u201d I hissed as I drew my i.d. tag. Xiomara did the same and Hongo struck his starting pose. \u201cWe\u2019ll hold these things; you see if you can roast Gozer!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWith what?!\u201d asked Peter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWith the rubble he\u2019s using!\u201d answered Winston as he pointed at a fuel tanker in Gozer\u2019s hand. The Ghostbusters then readied their packs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRider\u2026\u201d began Hongo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHENSHIN!\u201d we announced. We transformed and went on the offensive. We Riders kept the Marshmallow Minions of the Ghostbusters while they made the tanker explode. Gozer\u2019s shoulder caught fire while the explosion made Sludgiona reintroduce herself to the real world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat am I doing?!\u201d she snapped. \u201cI\u2019m not just a scientist, I\u2019m a Tarlaxian!\u201d She drew her blade, oh mon DIEU! That thing was massive. She joined us Riders as we held off the Marshmallow Minions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFIST INCOMING!\u201d warned Ray. We all rolled out of the way of Gozer\u2019s fist. When it finished, Gozer spat out more Minion Spawn pools and made our job harder while Gozer picked up a car. The Ghostbusters fired in the general area of the engine, making it explode. They then fired on Gozer\u2019s head, making it madder than ever and start hurling more rubble. It picked up one more fuel tanker which the Ghostbusters fired on. The explosion made Gozer hit its head on the roof, making it dizzy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNOW\u2019S OUR CHANCE!\u201d called Seeker. We Riders then leapt into the air! Rider Kick time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRIDER KICK!\u201d announced Ichig\u014d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRIDER ARCH KICK!\u201d I called.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRIDER SEEKER KICK!\u201d yelled Seeker. Our kicks connected with Gozer\u2019s head and it lost its grip with the building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDone!\u201d I cheered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot yet,\u201d replied Egon as he pointed to the door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, yeah,\u201d I realized. \u201cSo, what do we\u2026?\u201d I then saw the look in Egon\u2019s eye. \u201c\u2026No, you can\u2019t\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt worked last time,\u201d remarked Egon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWith just four packs!\u201d reminded Seeker as we cancelled our transformations again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI don\u2019t understand,\u201d muttered Hongo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019re crossing the streams,\u201d explained Ray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEgon, you said that was bad!\u201d wailed Xiomara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHow is it bad?\u201d asked Hongo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTry to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously, and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light,\u201d I explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou’re gonna endanger us, you\u2019re gonna endanger the new guys, you’re gonna endanger our client!\u201d supplied Peter. \u201cThe nice lady who became a dog again!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd we only had a slim chance of survival with just FOUR packs!\u201d reminded Winston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI will admit, our chances in that department are a little slimmer,\u201d replied Egon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026There\u2019s no choice, is there?\u201d I muttered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere is,\u201d mused Ray. \u201cEither die by Gozer\u2019s hand or die saving the world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTruth be told,\u201d sighed Hongo, \u201cI DID have fun as a Ghostbuster.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLet\u2019s do it,\u201d resolved Xiomara. We leveled our wands at the door and warmed the packs up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTHROW \u2018EM!\u201d ordered Peter. We fired our streams and brought them together. The door glowed as the combined stream started heating it up. We heard a roar, indicating that Gozer climbed back up to see us destroying the door. At that point, both the door and Gozer exploded. We were soon buried in rubble and marshmallow goop. It took a few minutes for me to get up and examine myself. My hands ran over my face to reveal my makeup had been ruined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, better that than my molecules exploding,\u201d I sighed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou\u2019re taking it rather well,\u201d called a voice with a Castilian accent. I saw Xiomara come up; her hair was all disheveled. She was holding the remains of the scrunchie that held her bun in place. Hongo got up and pushed a groaning Peter off. Ray and Egon were helping Winston up while Sludgiona was trying to break open Zuul\u2019s petrified remains. Soon, Dana\u2019s hand came out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWHO TURNED OUT THE LIGHTS?!\u201d wailed a muffled voice. We heard someone fall and turned to see Louis Tully wearing Vinz Clortho\u2019s head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDon\u2019t worry,\u201d I answered. \u201cWe\u2019ll have you out before you can say \u2018I ain\u2019t afraid of no ghost!\u2019\u201d We got the head off and saw that Louis\u2019 glasses were broken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWho are you?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNew guys,\u201d replied Xiomara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTemps that must, regrettably,\u201d I continued, \u201ccut our employment short.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019ll just say it involved me being drunk and Zuul offering a drink,\u201d she mumbled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
