\u201cCome on, you know I\u2019m not so good with parties,\u201d groaned Link. \u201cBesides, Ganondorf\u2019s been a little too quiet and I need to figure out why.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI think THIS particular party will make you forget Ganondorf safely,\u201d mused Zelda as she showed him her invitation. The symbol made Link think for a second.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Then again, I haven\u2019t seen him since the Ultimate Smash Tourney,\u201d remarked Link. \u201c\u2026All right! I\u2019m in!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Two squids and an octopus arrived at a landing site after launching themselves with tons of ink pressure. After landing, the cephalopods morphed and changed into humanoid creatures with tentacles for hair. The octopus was a girl with her tentacles\u2019 suckers facing out while the squids, a boy and a girl, had smooth tentacles. They approached another octopus girl and three squid girls. \u201cAgent 1, Agent 2,\u201d greeted the squid boy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAndrew, I thought I told you we\u2019re using our names,\u201d remarked a squid girl in a kimono.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An armored bounty hunter sat by her ship. After a long, tedious mission from the federation, she couldn\u2019t wait to just do nothing for a while. DONKEY!\u201d called the monkey. \u201cWE\u2019RE INVITED!\u201d The gorilla, Donkey Kong, yelped and his hammock spun him around a few times before dumping him onto the floor, HARD! The monkey, Donkey Kong\u2019s best friend, Diddy Kong, seemed slightly oblivious to Donkey\u2019s accident. \u201cOh man, this is such a huge milestone!\u201d cheered Diddy. \u201cI wonder how big the cake\u2019s gonna be?! Ooh! You think they\u2019ll have bananas?! Maybe New Donk City\u2019s\u2026!\u201d Donkey picked Diddy up by the tail and held him in the air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There you are!\u201d gasped the person as he caught his breath. \u201cGot a message for you!\u201d He pulled the message out of his postman\u2019s sack and handed it to the creature, Kirby. Kirby opened the message as the person left. He smiled wide when he read the contents and summoned a warp star.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rosalina, the woman, watched the stars as they danced by her home, the Comet Observatory. As she looked, she felt a sense of boredom. A woman in a yellow dress with orange trim sat on her throne, after listening to various cases. While she enjoyed being a princess and helping the people, it got tiring. One of her guards then entered the throne room. \u201cWell?\u201d asked the woman, Princess Daisy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA man in green has approached the gate,\u201d explained the guard. \u201cHe seems to carry himself like a plumber and\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLUIGI!\u201d cheered Daisy. \u201cLet him in!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMy lady, I fail to see your infatuation with a commoner\u2026\u201d the guard trailed off as he noticed his princess\u2019s mood turn sour at the comment. \u201c\u2026Er, then again, it\u2019s not my place to question your heart,\u201d he gulped. \u201cI\u2019ll just\u2026go get him.\u201d He dashed out of the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSmart,\u201d remarked Daisy. She sat for a few seconds until a voice came through the throne room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cH-Hello?\u201d stammered the voice. A plumber in green then entered the room and stepped forward for a few steps until Daisy leapt off the throne and tackled him into a bear hug.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLUIGI!\u201d she cheered as she squeezed the plumber, Luigi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cN\u2026Nice to\u2026see you\u2026too!\u201d gasped Luigi. Daisy then released the younger Mario brother, letting him catch his breath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat are you doing here?\u201d asked Daisy. \u201cI mean, not that I don\u2019t mind seeing you, but I didn\u2019t summon you here.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI came here to deliver a message to you,\u201d explained Luigi. He handed her a letter. Daisy read the letter to herself, then her eyes widened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026He\u2019s been doing this for THAT long?!\u201d gasped Daisy. \u201cHe definitely deserves a party! You better believe I\u2019m coming! We\u2019ll take my plane!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI guess I\u2019ll\u2026\u201d sighed Luigi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A short plumber in red walked towards a castle. He had gotten a summons from his home\u2019s princess and was confused at how short it was. \u201cDid I do something wrong?\u201d he pondered to himself. He approached the main gate after crossing the bridge over the moat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAh, Mario!\u201d greeted the guard, a Toad with a spear. \u201cHer Highness, Princess Peach, is expecting you. Please come in.\u201d The Toad opened the gate and the plumber, Mario, entered the castle. He was led to the main ballroom. It was dark inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHello?\u201d asked Mario. The lights suddenly came on and Mario gasped. Princess Peach, Luigi, and all their friends appeared from behind a large cake!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSURPRISE!\u201d everyone called.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat in\u2026?!\u201d yelped Mario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHAPPY 35th<\/sup>, MARIO!\u201d everyone cheered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cBut I\u2019m not 35!\u201d gulped Mario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNo,\u201d replied Peach, \u201cbut you\u2019ve been fighting Bowser and other various evils for 35 years.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026It\u2019s been THAT long?\u201d realized Mario. \u201cMama Mia!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cJust think,\u201d chuckled Donkey Kong, \u201cages ago, you and I were fighting over Pauline!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHow IS Pauline, by the way?\u201d asked Peach. \u201cI haven\u2019t seen her since I went on my world tour after Bowser tried to marry me on the moon.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cShe\u2019s doing all right,\u201d replied Mario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI\u2019m surprised she\u2019s not here,\u201d mused Donkey Kong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cShe had to decline,\u201d explained Peach sadly. \u201cHer city\u2019s in a power crisis.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI thought New Donk City got its Power Moons back,\u201d remarked Mario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSomething or someone\u2019s leeching off Power Moons,\u201d answered Peach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYikes,\u201d winced Mario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI\u2019ve already offered assistance,\u201d assured Peach, \u201cI just haven\u2019t gotten a reply. Before Luigi and I came to this world, we were Brooklyn plumbers who had a few jobs. At that time, I had met Donkey Kong and he kidnapped my then-girlfriend, Pauline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI still remember the barrels you kept leaping over,\u201d snickered Donkey Kong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThen, after saving her,\u201d continued Mario, \u201cLuigi had quite a job that opened our eyes to this world. You didn\u2019t let me and Luigi be nameless nobodies. Yes, we\u2019ve had our ups and downs, but I don\u2019t see myself trading the life I\u2019ve led so far for anything else. As the evening wound down, everyone retired to bed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When Mario woke up, he was acutely aware of Toads screaming in a panic. \u201cWhat now?!\u201d he grumbled to himself. He put on his usual outfit and went downstairs, joining his friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cMARIO!\u201d screamed a Toad. \u201cIT\u2019S TERRIBLE! He was then handed a video cassette tape with the phrase \u201cKidnapped Princess\u201d on it. \u201c\u2026Did anyone watch it?\u201d quizzed Mario. The room was silent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026Someone get a t.v. in here,\u201d sighed Peach. A pair of Toads wheeled a t.v. into the room and Mario put the tape into the v.c.r. The tape showed a little static before it cleared to reveal\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cGANONDORF?!\u201d yelped Link and Zelda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cMy apologies,\u201d began Ganondorf in the video, \u201cwere you planning a relaxing time, heroes? I, Ganondorf Dragmire, the King of Thieves, the Great King of Evil, the Emperor of the Dark Realm, and the Dark Lord, have made this message to have you all watch my greatest triumph! To prove, once and for all, that darkness will prevail, I will\u2026!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhat are you doing?!\u201d called a voice that the Mario Brothers and their princesses knew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026Er, nothing, Lord Bowser,\u201d replied Ganondorf, slightly embarrassed as Bowser stomped into view. \u201cWhat are YOU doing?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou\u2019re not making a video to tell our enemies,\u201d growled Bowser, \u201cwhat our plans are, are you?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou presume me to be that stupid?\u201d asked Ganondorf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cBut weren\u2019t you going to tell the heroes about how we were gonna kidnap the Elemental Princesses?\u201d asked the cameraman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cShut up!\u201d hissed Ganondorf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYeah, you were gonna tell them,\u201d continued the cameraman, oblivious to what Ganondorf ordered, \u201cabout how you villains were gonna take the Elemental Princesses and drain them of their power and\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSHUT UP AND GET ANOTHER TAPE!\u201d ordered Ganondorf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI don\u2019t have any more cassette tapes,\u201d rumbled Bowser. Ganondorf sighed as he slumped in his throne. \u201cGanondorf, I thought you said stealth was key! If this tape reaches the heroes, there\u2019s a good chance they\u2019ll beat us to the punch!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI understand your frustration, Lord Bowser Koopa,\u201d grumbled Ganondorf, \u201cbut I already told your troops to make this tape and send it to our enemies! Now, if I DON\u2019T, I\u2019ll end up looking stupid!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cA little late for that now, isn\u2019t it?\u201d grunted Bowser. Ganondorf then rose from his throne and summoned a ball of shadowy energy in each hand, growling at Bowser. \u201c\u2026Was that out loud?\u201d gulped Bowser. Ganondorf fired one ball at Bowser and used it to lift the Koopa King into the air. \u201cHELP!\u201d cried Bowser. \u201cI TAKE IT BACK! SEND THE TAPE! SEND THE TAPE!\u201d Ganondorf then fired the other ball at the camera and the video ended in static.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cElemental Princesses?\u201d asked Daisy once the tape was ejected. \u201cI never heard of them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI have,\u201d replied Zelda. \u201cThey command the four basic elements, water, earth, fire, and air.
