The Heroes made it to the castle as Ridley landed inside it! \u201cThis is bad!\u201d gulped Zelda. \u201cThey must be in the middle of their search!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe must stop them!\u201d declared Link. The Heroes entered the castle gates to find Ganondorf, Ridley, and Dedede talking to Bowser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHEY, BOWSER!\u201d called Mario. The four villains turned to see the Heroes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou again?!\u201d groaned Ganondorf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCan\u2019t you take a hint?!\u201d roared Ridley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe only hint we took,\u201d bellowed Donkey Kong as he thumped his chest, \u201cis that your evil needs to be stopped!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe\u2019s right!\u201d declared Mario. \u201cYour evil was manageable back in the past, but THIS?! This is just out of control! We won\u2019t give up, though! As long as our hearts are full of light, we will NEVER\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGood lord, not another hero speech!\u201d interrupted Dedede. \u201cYou Heroes remind me of an outboard motor! All the time, putt putt putt putt putt putt putt putt putt putt!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cExamined your OWN mouth recently?\u201d grunted Ridley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEnough!\u201d roared Bowser. \u201cThey\u2019re too late anyway!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat?!\u201d yelped Link.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou heard me!\u201d laughed Bowser. \u201cThe guy who organized this alliance, he already burned the book!\u201d To prove his point, Bowser tossed the scorched remains of a book at the Heroes\u2019 feet. \u201cCan\u2019t do much research now, can you?\u201d taunted Bowser. \u201cYour one chance to piece together how the Princesses can be saved, and it\u2019s nothing more than ash!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou monster!\u201d snarled Peach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m gonna enjoy kicking your shell!\u201d growled Daisy as she cracked her knuckles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Princess of a poor kingdom?\u201d laughed Bowser. \u201cYou\u2019re not worth the effort to crush.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhy you\u2026!!\u201d snarled Daisy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, I just remembered,\u201d recalled Bowser. \u201cI think you would remember the person who got us Villains together.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026I would?\u201d quizzed Daisy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh yes, you would,\u201d chuckled a dark voice. Bowser stepped aside to reveal a purple humanoid creature with pointed ears, fangs, and large eyebrows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTATANGA?!\u201d yelped Daisy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGreetings, my little flower,\u201d chuckled the alien, Tatanga. \u201cI see you\u2019re more proactive in trying to deal with people like me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt serves my people, given our usual environment,\u201d declared Daisy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cServes your people?\u201d scoffed Tatanga. \u201cTripe if I ever heard it! Rulers don\u2019t serve the people; the people serve rulers!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYour culture sounds pretty backwards!\u201d snarled Daisy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBackwards?!\u201d thundered Tatanga, offended. \u201cMine is the most advanced in the universe!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTatanga, whatever plan you have, it must stop!\u201d called Terraxila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd Ignisarix\u2019s friends arrive,\u201d chuckled Tatanga. \u201cGood, I so wanted all of the Elemental Knights here.\u201d Tatanga then pulled a man in red out from behind him and tossed him towards the Heroes. He looked bloody and bruised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIgnisarix!\u201d yelped Ventarix. The Knights dashed towards him to help. The man, Ignisarix, opened his eyes weakly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe\u2026the stars\u2026\u201d he gasped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDon\u2019t talk, you\u2019re hurt!\u201d begged Aqualixar. She then summoned water and used it to run all over the wounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDeal with the Heroes,\u201d Tatanga directed the four Villains. \u201cI will brook no opposition. Make sure you take their Elemental Stars. We must keep at least one of each type.\u201d He then left through a portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBowser, you\u2019ve gone too far!\u201d declared Mario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat can you do against me now?\u201d laughed Bowser. \u201cMe and my friends gained new powers to crush you!\u201d He then adopted a ready stance like that of one found in Northern Shaolin style. Ganondorf, Dedede, and Ridley adopted stances from the remaining Knight\u2019s fighting styles as well, giving Aqualixar a nasty idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat did Tatanga teach you?!\u201d she demanded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhy, how to harness the elements, of course!\u201d laughed Ganondorf. \u201cWe\u2019ve learned to master all four of them!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYour affinity is too dark to master them!\u201d argued Ventarix. \u201cYou couldn\u2019t handle that kind of power!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI AM power!\u201d replied Ganondorf before he lashed out with a water whip. The Heroes ducked as the Villains attacked, using the elements to enhance their attacks. Bowser retreated into his shell, spun around and projected fire from the openings, and moved quickly towards the Heroes. Mario and Luigi moved aside, trying to avoid the attack. Ridley simply fired air blast after air blast, buffeting the Heroes with terrible winds. Dedede hammered the ground and created sharp spikes beneath the Heroes\u2019 feet to throw them off balance. Ganondorf slung water into the Heroes\u2019 faces, causing them to cough to try and get water out of their lungs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2026is\u2026ENOUGH!\u201d roared Andrew as he took out his Krak-on Roller and activated its old ability, the Kraken Squid Form. This form, however, looked different. While he was a massive squid, he was making deep trenches in the earth as he spun. The sudden tremors caused the Villains to lose their balance. Samus then automatically moved like Aqualixar to lash out with water. Rosalina then spun to make a small tornado to bring Ridley down. Mario then held back the fire erupting from Bowser\u2019s shell and turned it against all the Villains. Ignisarix then stood up, fully healed. He then showed off a greater mastery of fire by putting out Bowser\u2019s flames, then launching fire from the ground to beat the Villains back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe cannot win in these conditions! Retreat!\u201d called Ganondorf as he summoned a portal to wherever their base of operations was. The Heroes panted as they looked around, confirming that the battle was over. Zelda then collapsed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe failed,\u201d she mumbled. \u201cWe\u2019ll never get started properly! We\u2019ll never be able to piece together the story of the Elemental Princesses!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat\u2019s the big deal?\u201d asked Ventarix. \u201cThat book can be fixed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s ashes!\u201d protested Link. \u201cI doubt even your fire friend can fix it!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot alone, no,\u201d replied Ignisarix. \u201cBut, with my fellow Knights and an Elemental Star of each type, we can bring it back, even update it with current information.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Do you have the Fire Star?\u201d asked Donkey Kong. \u201cBecause we\u2019ve got the other three Elemental Stars.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThey could touch them safely as well,\u201d recalled Terraxila. \u201cGiven that a few of them just discovered that they could use the elements, I\u2019d say that explains why.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBut that was an accident,\u201d replied Andrew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPerhaps,\u201d remarked Ignisarix, \u201cbut accidents like that tend to show that you have the affinity towards the Elements.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo, what, that means we can use the elements like you?\u201d asked Daisy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s part of the meaning,\u201d answered Ventarix. \u201cThe other part is that each of you can use all four elements.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026All four of them?\u201d repeated Peach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBut, first, we need to fix the book,\u201d declared Ignisarix. He then pulled out a red star. \u201cNow, we need to find the rest.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot really,\u201d countered Rosalina as the Heroes pulled out the other Elemental Stars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThen repairs will be made,\u201d chuckled Ignisarix. The Elemental Stars were given to the Knights and they took the ruined book in their hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWith this spell declared,\u201d the Knights chanted, \u201clet this knowledge be repaired!\u201d The stars then glowed a bright white as they orbited the book, taking it high into the air and making it glow. The lights then combined and glowed brighter than ever. The light then died down and the book was looking much better as it floated down. The cover was brown with gold trim and each of the Elemental Stars laid into it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAll fixed and updated,\u201d declared Terraxila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo, what\u2019s next?\u201d asked Luigi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe read,\u201d answered Rosalina as she opened the book and read it aloud. \u201c\u2018Water, earth, fire, air. Long ago, the four Elemental Princesses, masters of the elements, considered each other a friend and ruled the cosmos in harmony with each other. Then, everything changed when a Palndrani from the Fire Princess\u2019 sector of space named Tatanga set his plan into motion and attacked! Planting lies in the heads of each Princess, he quickly sowed discord throughout the universe and started kidnapping other princesses, hoping to find the one that would grant him the power of the stars, thus giving him a direct path to the elements. Only a group of 18 Heroes, Masters of all four elements, could stop them. But, when the universe needed them most, they vanished. When the Princesses closed their borders, Tatanga neared victory. But, 31 years ago, he lost his chance and so pursued another plan.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMario, we met Tatanga 31 years ago,\u201d reminded Daisy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYeah,\u201d recalled Mario. \u201cI guess beating him back had more of an effect than I thought.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026You beat Tatanga back?!\u201d yelped Ventarix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHow?!\u201d inquired Terraxila. \u201cIt would take an entire fleet to beat him back!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, if the story was right and he was looking for a princess that was blessed by the stars,\u201d mused Daisy, \u201che got the wrong one. That\u2019s Peach here. I was blessed AFTER that incident. He never showed his face until today.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThen he botched his original plan,\u201d realized Ignisarix. \u201cHe\u2019s desperate enough gaining the Elemental Grand Stars!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s not good,\u201d gulped Rosalina before she continued reading. \u201c\u2018The Princesses, as guardians of the most powerful of Elemental Stars, the Elemental Grand Stars, held power beyond what any mortal would dare dream of. They had all sworn to their respective parents to never let the Elemental Grand Stars come together unless in the direst of circumstances. Tatanga didn\u2019t heed the warnings and launched a plan to bring the Elemental Grand Stars together to become the absolute ruler of all. He would have the power to do so as he is one of a few to learn how to use all four elements so quickly. Unfortunately, that is because his affinity for the elements is dark as he believes light to be too blinding.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDark can be just as bad,\u201d remarked Diddy Kong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2018Only with the Heroes and the fully powered Knights of the Elements can restore balance to the universe,\u2019\u201d Rosalina read on, \u201c\u2018but, after the Knights pleaded with the Princesses to restore contact with one another, they were exiled and their Armor Rings scattered across space. One may only hope that the Princesses will see sense.\u2019 My friends, you were exiled?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m sorry we didn\u2019t tell you,\u201d answered Terraxila, \u201cbut we had barely any resources when we were told to leave our sectors of space. We couldn\u2019t scrounge up enough equipment to tell you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m sorry that you had to suffer that way,\u201d sympathized Rosalina. \u201cIf you want sanctuary, the Comet Observatory is more than welcome to have you.\u201d That was when she got an idea. \u201c\u2026In fact, the Observatory may JUST be what we need to stop the Villains.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRosalina, not to sound rude or anything,\u201d interjected Luigi, \u201cbut, while it IS big, the Observatory isn\u2019t exactly accommodating for all of us, especially with four new friends.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWait a sec!\u201d called Ventarix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, yeah,\u201d realized Rosalina. \u201cEven if we added the Starship Mario, that\u2019s still not enough for all of us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAll of us?!\u201d repeated Ventarix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCome now, Rosalina,\u201d remarked Aqualixar, \u201cyou didn\u2019t think the Villains would force us to this place, would you?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRemember the Observatories you helped us build?\u201d reminded Ignisarix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOf course!\u201d realized Rosalina. \u201cThey can link up to the Comet Observatory and we can get star maps of each sectors\u2019 galaxies!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHang on!\u201d argued Ventarix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd, with the Starship Mario,\u201d offered Mario, \u201cwe can add more galaxies and have a bigger map of the universe!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou lot aren\u2019t coming with us!\u201d shouted Ventarix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, yes they are!\u201d argued Terraxila. \u201cTheir archenemies are working with Tatanga and the Red one has done battle with him once and survived! They ARE coming with us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLet\u2019s put it to a vote!\u201d declared Ventarix. \u201cAll those in favor of getting this done without deadweight, say aye! Aye! All against?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNay!\u201d called her fellow Knights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLooks like we\u2019re NOT leaving them behind!\u201d remarked Ignisarix. Ventarix rolled her eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThen it\u2019s settled!\u201d declared Rosalina. \u201cWe shall unite the Observatories and the Starship Mario to act as our base of operations!\u201d She waved her wand and the Heroes and Knights disappeared in a beam of light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ganondorf played a large pipe organ in the Villains\u2019 main base of operations. He was really into playing his haunting music as he failed to notice Tatanga enter the room. He only stopped when he was tapped on the shoulder. \u201cAh, enjoying this?\u201d Ganondorf asked. \u201cIt\u2019s my own composition.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat fight was ridiculous and appalling!\u201d snarled Tatanga. \u201cYou failed to stop the Heroes!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI fail to see the issue,\u201d remarked Ganondorf as he took a chalice of a crimson liquid. \u201cWe destroyed the book AND ruined their only chance to get any advantage over us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI <\/em>destroyed the book,\u201d corrected Tatanga as Ganondorf drank, \u201cand the issue is that you failed to take the Elemental Stars! Now that book is repaired, and the Heroes most likely have a means of pursuing us across the universe! Ganondorf, I\u2019m going to replace you!\u201d Ganondorf spat out his drink at the news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou can\u2019t replace me!\u201d he spluttered. \u201cI\u2019m the only one worthy enough to be second in command!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cGanondorf, you have never been more wrong,\u201d growled Tatanga. \u201cAllow me to present your replacement, King Bowser Koopa!\u201d Bowser then stomped in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHow\u2019s it hanging, Ganny?\u201d laughed the Koopa King. \u201cLooks like you\u2019re taking orders from ME this time, not the other way around!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI have to take orders from this lout?!\u201d protested Ganondorf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHe DOES have a record of taking Power Stars,\u201d replied Tatanga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThey\u2019re quite different from the Elemental Stars!\u201d argued Ganondorf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOddly enough, Power Stars can be found all over the universe,\u201d answered Tatanga. \u201cHeck, one of the Heroes uses Power Stars to fuel her Observatory. The Elemental Stars are nothing more than Power Stars that utilize the Elements.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd we\u2019re already finding other Elemental Stars after a little tweaking of the sensors,\u201d reported Bowser. \u201cWe\u2019re ready to claim them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThen let\u2019s do so!\u201d declared Tatanga. \u201cOrder our fleet to move out!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAs you wish, Tatanga,\u201d replied Bowser.
