They had full gear on, protecting themselves against the gel-pox pandemic. They examined the crew first while the supplies were being loaded. \u201cDoc, come on!\u201d protested a crewman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe can\u2019t risk anyone bringing disease,\u201d remarked the doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe weren\u2019t even in the Over-realm!\u201d argued the crewman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLieutenant, let the doctor check you over,\u201d called Arsha\u2019s voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBut Captain\u2026!\u201d protested the crewman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s an order from both me and Marshii,\u201d commanded Arsha. The crewman grumbled but complied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou know,\u201d remarked Marshii as she came up to Arsha, \u201cI DIDN\u2019T give that order.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNo, but you would have,\u201d mused Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2026You\u2019re right, I would have,\u201d replied Marshii as she shrugged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHave all the doctors been briefed on what\u2019s going on?\u201d asked Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBriefed and briefed all over again,\u201d answered Marshii. \u201cHow soon until all the supplies are all loaded in?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTwo minutes, according to our estimations,\u201d replied Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cA bit long, in my opinion,\u201d grumbled Marshii.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe need to be careful that we\u2019re not missing anything,\u201d reminded Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI know, I know,\u201d grunted Marshii. Time felt like it was going at a crawl for Marshii, wanting to help as quickly as possible. Soon, everything was loaded, everyone was present, and all items and people were accounted for. The loading ramp then went up and the ship took off, on course for the Sacchrinda Kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>The ship landed outside the kingdom, as was recommended. The doctors and supplies were taken to a small bunker near the border to work on a vaccine. As per protocol, shore leave was cancelled due to gel-pox concerns. Arsha was NOT going to run the risk of a virus on her ship, especially since the ship now had an organic body on top of being a ship. Speaking of, Endea and Thangred were having a chat at Barmek\u2019s. \u201cAll I\u2019m saying is,\u201d urged Thangred, \u201cwe should pay attention to what\u2019s going on in the Lunarimba Sea.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhy?\u201d asked Endea. \u201cIt\u2019s no concern of ours.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIf it\u2019s the result of Dr. Borg, I beg to differ,\u201d argued Thangred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEven if you\u2019re right,\u201d countered Endea, \u201cI doubt Realmfleet will be called. King Hindegar DOES tend to tell Realmfleet not to interfere in matters like this.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBut if Dr. Borg\u2019s involved, won\u2019t Realmfleet be a good deterrent?\u201d asked Thangred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhat\u2019s going on?\u201d called Shalvey\u2019s voice as she glided up to the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cShalvey, you know what\u2019s going on in your home, right?\u201d quizzed Thangred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cActually, I just got news on that front,\u201d replied Shalvey as she parked near Thangred. \u201cTurns out it was all a prank from Queen Ulumeye\u2019s dad.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAre you serious?!\u201d snarled Thangred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhy, the nerve!\u201d snapped Endea. \u201cFaking out the people like that?! Oh, I wanna slap him!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m afraid you\u2019ll have to get in line,\u201d remarked Shalvey. \u201cMy home\u2019s demanding his head for stealing our crops like that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSeriously, didn\u2019t the king pass a law saying that stealing from farm people is punishable by life in prison with no chance of parole?\u201d quizzed Thangred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhich puts him in a very awkward position,\u201d answered Shalvey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOh, yeah, that\u2019s his father-in-law,\u201d recalled Endea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cExactly,\u201d confirmed Shalvey. \u201cIf he follows through on the sentence, the media will call him too hard-nosed towards anyone, even his own associates. But, if he lets him go, they\u2019ll say he\u2019s too soft.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe media\u2019s gonna eat him alive anyways!\u201d realized Thangred. \u201cHow unpopular IS the poor guy?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2026You REALLY don\u2019t want to know,\u201d muttered Shalvey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>While the doctors were working on the vaccine, they had been sending Arsha their progress reports and she passed them on to Realmfleet and the Maropwems. When she had free time, she called her family to make sure they were okay. During one call, Arsha noticed that Elgrad looked twitchy. \u201cNever been away from the throne for such a long time, Daddy?\u201d guessed Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYep,\u201d confirmed Elgrad. \u201cCall me arrogant, if you will, but I feel like Largandra, much less the Mid-realm, would fall without me there!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI hear you, it\u2019s like with me and the <em>Endeavor<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYeah, looks like you got that curse from your old man.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAt least your impulse control\u2019s a lot better,\u201d chuckled Hanako.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHana, please, no!\u201d wailed Elgrad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWait, what?!\u201d giggled Arsha. \u201cHold on, I think I want to hear this.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWell, when your father\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ll tell the story, thank you,\u201d grumbled Elgrad. \u201cWhen I was a Prince, I had TERRIBLE impulse control. It all came to a head when I was 150. A rather racist woman cast a curse on me that I would die the night before my 300<sup>th<\/sup> birthday. My parents both already went through an operation to prevent any future children, so they were really scared for their family\u2019s future. The advisor at the time, Tonsho\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWait, which Tonsho?\u201d interrupted Arsha. \u201cThat\u2019s, like, the most common name in Largandra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis guy was a Centaur,\u201d answered Elgrad. \u201cNot anyone you knew. Anyway, he was wringing his hands as he explained the curse to me and my parents. As they were about to demand he find a solution, adolescent me called out, \u2018Wait, before my 300<sup>th<\/sup> is when this curse kills me?\u2019 He answered yes and my next out-loud thought was \u2018So, until then, I\u2019m effectively immortal?!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cUh oh,\u201d gulped Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYeah, I wasn\u2019t the sharpest tool in the shed. Mom and Dad said that I was technically right, but I didn\u2019t hear the word \u2018technically\u2019 and announced that I was going to teach myself how to juggle axes while hang-gliding over shark-infested waters.\u201d Arsha laughed like a maniac when she heard how dumb her dad was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGlad Grandma and Grandpa found the counter-curse in time,\u201d she managed to get out between her giggles. \u201cI can\u2019t believe you would do something so dumb! You wouldn\u2019t have caught me doing something like that!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cArsha,\u201d remarked Hanako.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYeah, Mom?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s something I need to tell you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhat\u2019s that?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2026Sparkle, sparkle, sparkle!\u201d Arsha then screamed into her hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDepths, YEAH, sparkle, sparkle, sparkle!\u201d laughed Elgrad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMOM, COME ON!\u201d wailed Arsha. \u201cI thought you would forget that incident!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cArsha, ALL adolescents do dumb stuff like that,\u201d answered Hanako. \u201cYour kids will do something just as bad.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDalengor to Arsha,\u201d came Dalengor\u2019s voice over the intercom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOne minute,\u201d Arsha bid to her parents. \u201cGo ahead, Dalengor.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOne of our crewmate\u2019s was caught trying to get out of the ship,\u201d reported Dalengor. \u201cShe\u2019s in the brig now for fighting the security officer at the ramp.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOh, Ones, the last thing I want to hear!\u201d Arsha groaned. She then turned to her parents. \u201cSorry, guys, need to discipline someone. See you as soon as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBye!\u201d bid her parents as she ended the call.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was only going to be for five minutes!\u201d protested the Werewolf lieutenant as she faced Arsha. \u201cWhere\u2019s the harm?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI won\u2019t risk gel-pox on this ship,\u201d answered Arsha. \u201cAll shore leave is cancelled to prevent the spread of disease to other Realms.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI was wearing a mask and gloves!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThat mask was under your nose and the gloves had holes so your claws would stick out!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCaptain, you must release me!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI will only release you when I have evidence that you are as committed to this as your husband!\u201d The Werewolf rolled her eyes as Arsha indicated to the male Werewolf guard to step forward. \u201cLook at him,\u201d directed Arsha. \u201cHe\u2019s standing tall and proud, ready to sacrifice his outdoor time, knowing the risks of\u2026\u201d she trailed off when she saw something in his pocket. She quickly yanked it out and saw that it was an exit card, used only to leave the ship. \u201c\u2026Lieutenant Tentar,\u201d growled Arsha as she moved her hairpiece to her waist, \u201cwhat is THIS?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2026I don\u2019t know how that got there,\u201d gulped the male Werewolf, Tentar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou lie!\u201d accused his wife, Lieutenant Enfal. \u201cHow many more do you have?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI have duties to perform,\u201d answered Tentar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t change the subject! Where are the others?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere ARE no others!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIf you don\u2019t tell me where the others are, I will sleep in separate quarters for a week!\u201d Tentar growled but relented as he pulled another exit card out of his uniform\u2019s shirt, another out of his shoe, then opened a drawer full of exit cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2026You hypocrite!\u201d hissed Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou hold me here for trying to leave, yet you planned to leave this ship yourself?!\u201d snarled Enfal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWell, I have a proposition,\u201d growled Tentar. \u201cFrom now until the vaccine is ready for mass-production, we will watch each other!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYes! Closely!\u201d agreed Enfal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m holding you both to it,\u201d warned Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFive days!\u201d hissed Rosalmia to her sisters as vaccine work continued. \u201cFive days since Daddy passed that order! Five days of staying inside! Five days of not finding any more lovers! Five days of going to this very ballroom and not having a dance partner!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou were the one,\u201d remarked Yasnima as she touched up her eye makeup, \u201cthat urged Daddy to pass a stay-at-home order.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYeah, well, I thought it would take at least two days!\u201d hissed Rosalmia. \u201cNot five days of uncertainty!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cViruses take a long time to develop a vaccine for,\u201d reminded Grenmaf as she and Blamfem looked over some medical journals. \u201cWe might get a vaccine in about three months.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s three months too long for someone like me!\u201d wailed Rosalmia. \u201cI need to find more lovers!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou said,\u201d muttered Purhalmaf, \u201cpatience is key.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor you girls! Not me!\u201d snapped Rosalmia. \u201cI hate patience! Patience is for wimpy introverts!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur mother was a conscious stone statue for three years after looking directly into a Gorgon\u2019s eyes,\u201d grunted Orsanmii, \u201cand you can\u2019t be patient for three months?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s just as extroverted as you,\u201d reminded Blamfem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t do this!\u201d groaned Rosalmia. \u201cDon\u2019t make me! I need to be busy!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFINE!\u201d shouted Pinalk, fed up with her red sister. \u201cBe busy! We could all use a break from your complaining!\u201d Rosalmia scowled, then ran out of the ballroom, making a beeline straight for the kitchen. Whenever one of the Royal Family was bored, they usually helped their staff, a tradition started by her mother. She put on a mask, a hairnet, and a jacket designed for kitchen work as she entered the castle\u2019s kitchens. The head chef saw her and approached her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIs her Highness getting buggy?\u201d she asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHer Highness is losing her mind from being so bored and isolated!\u201d replied Rosalmia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI believe Yalfeen would like some help on preparing the veggies,\u201d mused the head chef. \u201cJust wash your hands before you help.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGot it.\u201d Rosalmia then washed her hands and put on gloves that were designed for kitchen work, then she joined an Elf woman chopping veggies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLooking for something to do during all this,\u201d the Elf woman, Yalfeen, guessed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIsolation\u2019s just torture for extroverts,\u201d sighed Rosalmia as she grabbed a carrot and started chopping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI hear you. I can\u2019t exactly travel to the Under-realm and meet with my own lovers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThen you understand my predicament perfectly.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGranted, I only have two.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou still get it, though.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOh, I do.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Lunch was put together and Rosalmia helped the staff serve up the soup. Once her family arrived in the dining room, they all sat down. \u201cMuch better,\u201d sighed Rosalmia. \u201cNothing like a little activity to pass the time. Hey, Blamfem, how long was it since I left you girls?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHalf an hour,\u201d replied Blamfem as she checked her watch.
