\u201cI think it\u2019s high time I remind you who\u2019s the boss around here!\u201d snarled Eggman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEggman, what\u2019s going on here?!\u201d demanded Optimus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat\u2019s going on here?\u201d repeated Eggman. \u201cI\u2019m showing the ungrateful Decepticons who\u2019s the real master! Megatron, I gave you and your colleagues lodging so you can safely conduct your war with the Autobots! I built you a secondary base! I even built you guard units! Yet you never appreciated me! You never even attempted to destroy Sonic personally! You let squatters like the Metarex sit in orbit around the moon! I\u2019m sick of being pushed around like some mere drone! I\u2019M the conqueror, dammit! I WAS going to let you Decepticons be my Elite Guard, but, thanks to the Allspark and my new device, I don\u2019t need you! My Combaticons are already programmed to surpass you militarily! And the best part is, I already know where THEIR loyalties lie, thanks to the program my device introduced into the Allspark\u2019s life-granting abilities! I\u2019ve already mentally reassigned you in my future empire as mere workers! Perhaps, Megatron, you would make an excellent miner!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDr. Eggman, I\u2019ll have you disemboweled for this treachery!\u201d roared Megatron. \u201cI expected this from Starscream, given his track record with my predecessors!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHEY!\u201d protested Starscream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRumble, Operation: Organic Discipline,\u201d ordered Soundwave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTime to crack you\u2026!\u201d Rumble didn\u2019t get far with his promise. Heck, he didn\u2019t get far with his leap towards Eggman. Brawl scooped him up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCome here, bug!\u201d he growled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat, you want a piece of me?!\u201d taunted Rumble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo,\u201d grunted Brawl. \u201cI want two!\u201d He then grabbed Rumble\u2019s upper torso in one hand and his legs in another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLET HIM DOWN NOW!\u201d shouted Soundwave as he charged at Brawl. Vortex fired his gatling guns at Soundwave, backing him into the wall. Once Vortex let up, Brawl pulled on Rumble\u2019s limbs\u2026HARD. Rumble was torn in half, the mental shockwave ripping through Soundwave\u2019s mind like a knife through flesh. For Soundwave, all noise, even his own screaming of Rumble\u2019s name, was silenced. His hearing only reactivated as Rumble\u2019s pieces hit the ground, fading to gunmetal grey. Rumble\u2019s Spark\u2026was extinguished. As he looked at Rumble\u2019s corpse in disbelief, fear of the Combaticons gripped Soundwave\u2019s Spark. That fear\u2026fueled his rage. He roared in grief and anger, throwing Vortex aside and slamming his fist into Brawl\u2019s head. Again, and again, and again, he struck Brawl, ready to snuff his Spark in revenge. However, he never got the chance. Blast Off grabbed Soundwave and flew up to the cave ceiling, slamming the Communications Officer into it repeatedly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDECEPTICONS, ATTACK!\u201d shouted Megatron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAUTOBOTS, ATTACK!\u201d ordered Optimus. There was a HUGE battle in the caves! Laser fire flew everywhere, threatening to collapse the roof. Many bots tried to make a grab for the Allspark, but none could get to Eggman fast enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis has gone on long enough,\u201d rumbled Onslaught as he fired his guns. \u201cVortex! Blast Off! Escort our creator out of here! Brawl! Swindle! Make sure they have a clear path! I\u2019ll bring up the rear!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes, Sir!\u201d acknowledged his fellow Combaticons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDr. Eggman!\u201d called Blast Off as he and Vortex surrounded him. \u201cWith us!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCapital idea,\u201d replied Eggman. He followed Blast Off and Vortex as Brawl and Swindle aimed their weapons around the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFarewell, you outdated hunks of junk!\u201d taunted Onslaught as he fired on the cave ceiling. The rocks then fell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGET OUT OF\u2026!\u201d Megatron couldn\u2019t complete his order as the rocks buried all the Autobots and Decepticons alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat\u2019s going on?!\u201d demanded Eggman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGO! GO!\u201d shouted Onslaught as he ran after the group with the cave-in at his heels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGOOD GOD! RUN!\u201d shouted Swindle. No one needed any convincing as everyone ran towards the cave mouth, exiting the cave at top speed as the rocks closed the cave\u2019s mouth. As the dust settled, the Combaticons and Eggman sat there for a minute to catch their breath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, that was hair-raising!\u201d gasped Eggman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEveryone alright?\u201d asked Onslaught.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cStill operational,\u201d reported Vortex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo that\u2019s what the sky on Mobius looks like,\u201d muttered Blast Off. \u201cA little too blue for my tastes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd the ground around us,\u201d mumbled Brawl as he looked at the grasslands. \u201cWAY too green.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, I intend to fix that!\u201d promised Eggman. \u201cBut first, we need to show Mobius who should be feared. Combaticons, we\u2019re going to Station Square!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAt once, Lord Eggman!\u201d affirmed Onslaught. \u201cCombaticons, transform and mobilize for Station Square!\u201d The Combaticons transformed and Eggman led them to Station Square.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Back in the cave, nothing happened. The rocks from the ceiling stayed well and firmly on the Autobots and Decepticons. This was a good few minutes before the rocks burying Megatron shifted. His fist burst out and he pulled himself out of the rocks, his Decepticons following suit, then Optimus and the Autobots. \u201cThat fat fool!\u201d snarled Megatron. \u201cHe\u2019s ruining EVERYTHING!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe need to get the Allspark back!\u201d urged Galvatron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBut what about\u2026?!\u201d called Soundwave as he uncovered Rumble\u2019s body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLeave him!\u201d ordered Megatron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLeave him?!\u201d protested Soundwave. \u201cBut he\u2026!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s an order, Soundwave!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSoundwave, Eggman\u2019s probably got the moon base\u2019s defenses turned against us!\u201d urged Starscream. \u201cRobotropolis WON\u2019T be a safe haven! We don\u2019t have any means of getting Rumble out! We MUST leave him! We\u2019ll collect him later!\u201d Soundwave hoped against hope Starscream was wrong, but Ravage had just reported that all Decepticon personnel had to evacuate the moon base because of Eggman\u2019s robots turning on them, Metal Sonic included. He glanced down at Rumble\u2019s body\u2026then revenge took over his thoughts. It fueled him as he connected with all the Decepticons and calculated Eggman\u2019s destination. His back-flap retracted, and his battle-mask deployed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAllspark energy: moving towards Station Square,\u201d he reported in his monotonous voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOrder all Decepticons to mobilize there,\u201d commanded Megatron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs you command, Megatron.\u201d Soundwave opened a Ground Bridge just as Optimus freed himself and started digging for his bots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPrime,\u201d called Megatron, \u201cWE will be the ones defending the Allspark. Don\u2019t interfere in matters you don\u2019t understand!\u201d He and his Decepticons entered the Ground Bridge and it closed behind them. Optimus checked to see if there would be any radio interference as he dug the Autobots out. There was none, despite the rocks surrounding them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAll Autobots, converge on Station Square!\u201d he ordered. \u201cThe Allspark was taken by Eggman and he\u2019s got angry Decepticons on his tail! There\u2019s going to be a fight in Station Square! We need to get the cube out of there! All Autobots, rally to me at Station Square!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Deep beneath Mobius\u2019 crust, near the very core of the planet, Nemesis Prime and Crystal Widow were speaking to a figure in the shadows. \u201cThe battle for the Allspark has begun,\u201d explained Nemesis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou know what you must do?\u201d asked Crystal Widow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCause confusion amongst the enemy,\u201d replied the figure as he stepped out of the shadows to reveal himself to be Meteorfire, \u201cawaken the Blade from across time, grab the Allspark, bring them here. Easy enough.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDo NOT get cocky!\u201d barked Nemesis. \u201cOptimus and Megatron are clever. They WILL catch on if you screw this up.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKeep your carburetors clear,\u201d replied Meteorfire as he took pressed a button on his wrist. His armor then fell off to reveal a purple and yellow bot with motorcycle kibble and handlebars on the back of his head. Four human-sized bots then approached him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAre we set, Boss?\u201d asked a small maroon and black bot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019re set, Nightcruz,\u201d answered the motorcycle bot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPerfect,\u201d declared a small purple and dark-grey bot. \u201cWe\u2019re eager to get the cube away from them!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPatience, Noisemaze,\u201d urged the motorcycle bot. \u201cThis requires timing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo kidding,\u201d muttered a small black and red bot. \u201cWe\u2019re cutting it close here.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, give it a rest, Rook!\u201d snapped a small grey and purple robot. \u201cWe can take them!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEasy, Crosswise,\u201d advised the motorcycle bot. \u201cWe need to impress Unicron first. Completing the mission is paramount.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSage advice,\u201d agreed Nemesis. \u201cDo you think you can do it?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
