\u201cAccursed mummy!\u201d hissed Batman as he got Wyldstyle and Mikhail off of him. \u201cNow he\u2019s gonna get it!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCheck it out!\u201d called Tonje. \u201cMine carts!\u201d There was a pair of mine carts sitting on their own respective rails. The doors to the mine were closed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe need them open,\u201d I mused as I pointed to the doors. Wataru then tried to open them by force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCome on, don\u2019t tell me you\u2019re doubting yourself again!\u201d snapped Kivat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo, I just need help opening the door!\u201d Wataru managed to get out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWataru, you\u2019re going about it the wrong way,\u201d called Hongo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPardon?\u201d asked Wataru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat vent over there,\u201d explained Hongo as he pointed to what he was talking about, \u201chas electronics that can open the doors. We just need to patch it up and shrink someone down to work with the electronics.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m the one good with rewiring things,\u201d supplied Batman. \u201cYou just need to patch things up.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBad news,\u201d called Wyldstyle. While we were talking, she had gotten to a high shelf with a vent patch. \u201cThere\u2019s only one patch.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThen whoever\u2019s the giant,\u201d suggested Batman, \u201cneeds to transfer the patch as I go.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat about that hanging bit?\u201d asked Wataru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat will be sorted,\u201d assured Hongo. \u201cFor now, Scale Keystone, activate! Lessen scale of Batman and Wataru! Enlarge scale of Wyldstyle!\u201d Batman and Wataru shrunk while Wyldstyle grew. She grabbed the patch, ready to help Batman as needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat happened?!\u201d shrieked Wataru. \u201cWhy am I small?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe need you under the dangling part of the vent,\u201d directed Batman. Wataru then guessed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m just going to hold it up?\u201d he asked as he went under the dangling part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cExactly,\u201d confirmed Hongo. \u201cEnlarge scale of Wataru!\u201d Wataru grew and held the part in place while Wyldstyle transferred her patch when Batman needed it changed. After a while, everything was rewired and the doors unlocked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell,\u201d sighed Wyldstyle as Hongo got everyone back to their normal sizes, \u201cI guess these carts are the only way out.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThen let\u2019s not waste any more time,\u201d declared Wataru. \u201cKivat, let\u2019s go.\u201d He held his hand to the air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAll right!\u201d cheered Kivat. \u201cLet\u2019s go!\u201d He flew into Wataru\u2019s hand and folded his wings. Wataru pressed a button in between the bat\u2019s ears and the mouth opened. \u201cGabu!\u201d (Bite!) called Kivat. Wataru then put Kivat\u2019s fangs onto his hand, making stained glass patterns appear on his body while chains wrapped around his waist, forming a red belt with a hook in front and three whistle-like devices on each side. Wataru then showed Kivat in front of him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHenshin!\u201d he announced. He then attached Kivat to the hook by his feet and let him swing down, making a deep bell sound. Quicksilver then formed around his body before bulking up and coloring itself. The suit was predominantly black with silver shoulder guards and a leg guard wrapped in chains. He had a red chest and red trim around his yellow, bat wing eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo, that\u2019s Kiva,\u201d I mused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTransforming may be a good idea,\u201d suggested Hongo as he struck his pose. We followed suit by drawing our i.d. tags. \u201cRider\u2026\u201d began Hongo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHenshin!\u201d we announced. We all transformed and then boarded the mine carts. We went down, down, down towards another area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Scarab,\u201d boasted a voice, \u201cand its powers are MINE to control!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe mummy!\u201d snarled Batman. \u201cQuick! After him!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLooks like a dangerous game of bumper cars,\u201d I mused. We kept bumping him, making him lose his grip on the explosives he was trying to light. He tried changing tracks frequently, but it was no good, he changed them too late. Finally, we went on a track that took us out of the mine and made us fly through the air onto a roller-coaster track. We went around the track a couple of times, but the ride we had made Kiva look a little sick, even under his helmet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWataru, don\u2019t you dare throw up!\u201d warned Kivat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m trying!\u201d mumbled Kiva. The mummy\u2019s cart then left the track and crashed through a circus tent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis way!\u201d called Batman. We all left the cart and went into the mummy\u2019s tent. Kiva and I bounced on the trampoline all the way up to a trapeze swing. I grabbed onto the bar and Kiva grabbed my legs. We swung on it a few times before letting go and landing on the ground. Kiva and I felt something coming up our throats that was NOT going to be held back, so we dismissed our helmets and\u2026I don\u2019t need to paint you the picture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat took you so long?\u201d asked Batman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNow I remember why I HATE roller-coasters!\u201d I mumbled as our helmets came back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI don\u2019t want to ride any more rides,\u201d moaned Kiva. \u201cI have an allergy to thrill rides.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou and me both,\u201d I said as I patted Kiva\u2019s shoulder. That was when creepy laughter rang through the tent and the mummy rose up from a hole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou were fools to think that mere mortals can stop me!\u201d he boasted. \u201cWitness the true power and might of the Diamond Scarab!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFools?\u201d I hissed. \u201cI am no fool. I am a hero! Dai Super Charge!\u201d My armor bulked up, then flew off to reveal\u2026 \u201cKamen Rider Vortex! Evil will ultimately bow to me!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKamen Rider Gallop! My riding skills are unmatched!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKamen Rider Swing! I\u2019ll be taking your legs!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI am Gandalf the Grey! Prepare to see some fireworks!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m Wyldstyle! Time to think outside the box!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m Batman! The Dark Knight rises!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKamen Rider Kiva! I will break the chains of fate!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI am the start of a group of warriors! I am Kamen Rider!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo, you\u2019re dead!\u201d declared the mummy. He used the Scarab to raise more mummies! \u201cRise, my warriors! Defend my honor!\u201d ordered the mummy. Kiva punched one and it fell apart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThey\u2019re pretty weak!\u201d called Kiva. \u201cIt\u2019s the numbers that concern me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cJust keep at it!\u201d I directed. I managed to touch Kiva and got his i.d. tag. \u201cAll right, let\u2019s see what you\u2019ve got!\u201d I inserted the i.d. tag and selected Kiva\u2019s normal appearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKiva Steel!\u201d announced Vortoranii. The wardrobe change my appearance to that of Kiva\u2019s and I started striking more mummies with my sword. Somehow, I wasn\u2019t getting the usual power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat gives?!\u201d I snapped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou need to use the Garuru Saber form!\u201d explained Kiva. \u201cWatch!\u201d He pulled out a whistle from his right side with blue highlights and put it into Kivat\u2019s mouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGaruru Saber!\u201d shouted Kivat as he blew into it. A high-pitched whistle rang out and some device came flying towards Kiva. It unfolded into a sword with a snarling wolf\u2019s head on the hilt. Kiva grabbed it with his left hand and chains wrapped around his arm and shoulder before snapping to reveal a newer spiky shoulder pad and a blue arm. Chains wrapped around his chest before snapping and revealing a new blue chest. Kivat\u2019s eyes flashed between red and blue before settling on blue. Kiva\u2019s eyes went blue as well before he adopted an animalistic stance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGaruru Saber,\u201d I repeated. \u201cGot it!\u201d I summoned the selection circle and changed forms again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKiva Garuru Saber Steel!\u201d announced Vortoranii as the wardrobe closed on me. The whistle that was part of changing into that form sounded and my arm and eyes changed color. After we took care of the other mummies, the main one summoned a giant mechanical scarab!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRUN!\u201d I shouted as we got out of the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019ve got an idea!\u201d called Batman. \u201cShift Keystone, activate! Cyan, on the platform above the target board! Magenta, on the flaming platform! Yellow, on the icy platform! Shift! Kiva! Cyan!\u201d Kiva was sucked into the portal and ended up on the platform. The mummy got his scarab to charge, but it resulted in the scarab knocking itself silly. Kiva then held up another whistle with purple highlights and put it into Kivat\u2019s mouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDogga Hammer!\u201d announced Kivat as a loud, deep horn blasted. A large purple hammer appeared and unfolded. The head of the hammer looked like a large purple fist and was three times the size of Kiva\u2019s head. He grabbed the shaft with both hands and chains wrapped around them before snapping and revealing purple, gauntleted arms. His chest became purple as did his and Kivat\u2019s eyes. Kiva leapt down and swung the hammer into the mummy\u2019s side. I leapt onto the mummy and got him to tip over so the scarab would be on top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGet off me, you silly thing!\u201d snapped the mummy as more mummies came. I saw a seedling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGandalf!\u201d I called as I pointed to the seedling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI think I know of two other elements that may help!\u201d answered Gandalf. \u201cElemental Keystone, activate! Element of fire, Vortex! Element of water, Ichig\u014d! Element of earth, Kiva!\u201d Ichig\u014d took care of the fire by the magenta Shift portal while I got rid of the ice near the yellow one. Kiva used his new powers on the seedling to make it grow vines that hit the mummy. He managed to get the scarab on its legs again and it started digging!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cShift! Vortex! Yellow!\u201d called Batman. I went to the formerly icy platform and the scarab charged at the target board beneath me, knocking itself silly again. Kiva swung the hammer again and knocked the scarab onto the mummy again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI command you to move!\u201d ordered the mummy. There was another seedling, so Kiva grew a giant slab of earth from it. It fell and the scarab burrowed again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cShift! Ichig\u014d! Magenta!\u201d shouted Batman. Ichig\u014d was on the now charred platform as the scarab came up and charge one last time, only to meet with the same result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWHAT DID I SAY ABOUT GETTING OFF OF ME?!\u201d roared the mummy. One last seedling that Kiva grew, one mini volcano that threw a hot rock onto the scarab, effectively destroying it! While he was tossed into the air by the explosion, Kiva, Swing, Ichig\u014d, and I got ready for our kicks. Kiva used a whistle on his right and put it into Kivat\u2019s mouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWAKE UP!\u201d announced Kivat as he flew off his hook. Kiva raised his chained leg into the air as Kivat broke the chains. The armor opened to reveal red demon wings and a green circle on top of the foot. We all then leapt into the air. Kiva didn\u2019t call out his kick, but the rest of us did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRIDER KICK!\u201d called Ichig\u014d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRIDER SWING KICK!\u201d shouted Swing<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRIDER VORTEX KIVA GARURU KICK!\u201d I announced. The mummy was kicked into the\u2026stuff that Kiva and I\u2026you know. He landed there and lost his grip on the Diamond Scarab. The mummies then lost their new life-forces and fell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGoodness,\u201d panted Gandalf. \u201cI have not seen magic like that in some time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot magic,\u201d countered Gallop as he took the head off one of the mummies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI knew it!\u201d hissed Batman. \u201cThey were robotic exhibits from a carnival! Because this mummy isn\u2019t a mummy at all. It\u2019s\u2026\u201d mask pulling-off time! \u201c\u2026the Fun fair owner!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEr, I don\u2019t know of any fun fair owners made of solid space!\u201d argued Swing. We all looked to see the head! That wasn\u2019t a human head! The head belonged to\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cVortech!\u201d yelped Batman as Lord Vortech tore his mummy disguise off and got his usual clothes back on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd I would have gotten away with it,\u201d hissed Vortech, \u201cif it hadn\u2019t have been for you meddling kids!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDecided to do your own dirty work?\u201d I asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDirty work,\u201d answered Vortech, \u201cwould have been a fine description if you didn\u2019t kick me into your bile!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou\u2019re not getting the Scarab back!\u201d I declared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTry and stop me!\u201d snapped Vortech as he charged at me. I managed to roll out of the way and Batman decked him, knocking a bag of studs from him. \u201cTHIEVES! THAT\u2019S MINE!\u201d roared Vortech. At that moment, a portal opened behind us as X-PO\u2019s voice came through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSorry to interrupt,\u201d he called, \u201cbut you guys have the final Foundation Element. Head back to Vorton, but only if you, you know, want to save the entire multiverse.\u201d At that point, Vortech seemed to get an idea, then stopped trying to get the Scarab from us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes, trot along,\u201d he dismissed. \u201cTake your trinket. I don\u2019t need it; I have your friends.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLet\u2019s go!\u201d called Wyldstyle. I wasn\u2019t one to argue, but Vortech\u2019s change of heart scared me. Still, we took our leave of Scooby Doo\u2019s world with Kiva behind us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo, you\u2019re the one helping them, are you, X-PO?\u201d I muttered to myself \u201cA rather big mistake. Now, which dimension did I banish you to?\u201d My musings were interrupted by voices. I hid behind one of the poles and saw Shaggy and Scooby running into the tent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI heard it in here!\u201d called Scooby in his usual \u2018r\u2019 laden speech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThen, like, why aren\u2019t we running in the opposite direction?!\u201d asked Shaggy before they tripped into a bathtub. When they recovered, they saw the remains of my disguise. \u201cLike, dude,\u201d yelped Shaggy, \u201cthat is so freaky-deaky!\u201d Their friends then came running up to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou guys already solved the case?!\u201d asked Fred in disbelief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd had the police take away the bad guy?!\u201d quizzed Velma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWas it the fun fair owner again?\u201d asked Daphne. Shaggy and Scooby decided to make up a story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYeah, that\u2019s right!\u201d replied Shaggy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
