The Realmgate refugees made their way to the eastern edge of the Southern Continent. Calandra had ordered a camp to be prepared as quickly as possible. The Endeavor<\/em> was the last ship to land and deposit refugees, the Royal Family being the last to get off. The crews of all the evacuation ships then passed out food and water for everyone. This was a blow for morale. Arsha and Calandra spoke with each other. \u201cI see Dr. Vorsholstein\u2019s first Golem was put through its paces,\u201d said Calandra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe was,\u201d answered Arsha. \u201cBremfo\u2019s quite the fighter. With him around, we can take Realmgate City back.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWould that Realmfleet agrees.\u201d Calandra\u2019s comment raised concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2026Meaning?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI just spoke with Aldarval. We\u2019re leaving it to the Realm Trinity Empire.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShe can\u2019t be serious!\u201d protested Arsha. \u201cWe\u2019ve got people who just lost their homes and you want me to tell them that they\u2019re not getting them back?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe proposal was considered a waste of resources and soldiers. We have to leave the city alone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe can\u2019t do that!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cArsha, I admire your desire to protect everyone, but face facts; the enemy has Revenants, Robots, and more Golems than we do.\u201d By that point, Calandra\u2019s patience was wearing thin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI must insist that we disobey those orders!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cArsha, I\u2019m not gonna waste any more lives. I\u2019ve done too much of that!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have a way that can ensure that we don\u2019t!\u201d By now, Arsha was almost pleading. At that moment, Erodeth approached them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPlease tell me I heard you wrong!\u201d he said. \u201cPlease, tell me you didn\u2019t say we weren\u2019t taking our home back after what I told my people earlier as we were en route here!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m sorry,\u201d growled Calandra, \u201cbut Aldarval told me\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLet\u2019s talk to Aldarval right now!\u201d declared Erodeth. He pulled out his communicator and called Aldarval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNot all of them!\u201d answered Erodeth. He took a breath before he explained. \u201cI didn\u2019t give them the blueprints for the Under-realm\u2019s first Realmgate.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWHAT?!\u201d cried Aldarval. \u201cIf Dr. Borg gets her claws on them, she\u2019ll make her own Realmgate network on top of her personal one! What possessed you to leave them behind?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy family swore an oath to safeguard them, and I felt iffy about handing them over to Rellmeer!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGreat, now we have no choice! Erodeth, this puts us back by a lot! Our forces are stretched thin across the Realms as it is!\u201d Aldarval sighed as she ran her hand down her face. \u201cI\u2019ll send what I can, but I can\u2019t see victory. Aldarval out.\u201d The call ended and Calandra fixed them with a glare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKnow this,\u201d she warned, \u201cif things go to the Depths, I\u2019m holding you two responsible.\u201d She turned and left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2026Well, that was pleasant,\u201d grumbled Erodeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe need to coordinate our attack once Dalengor succeeds,\u201d suggested Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhere is she?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2026On a mission.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA personal mission to betray us?!\u201d boomed Mordek\u2019s voice as he stomped towards them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhere\u2019d that comment come from, Lord Mordek?\u201d asked Erodeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI just spoke to Malak,\u201d explained the angry God. \u201cApparently, Dalengor\u2019s stayed behind! I knew it! That snake can\u2019t be trusted!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLord Mordek, I assure you, it\u2019s part of the plan!\u201d replied Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat plan is going to fail! When next we meet, I WILL kill her!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou will do no such thing!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTry and stop me!\u201d Mordek then vanished in a ball of fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2026Arsha, I hope your faith in Dalengor is not misplaced,\u201d said Erodeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt isn\u2019t. I know my old friend well. Her staying behind will give us more soldiers to help reclaim Realmgate City.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

Back at Realmgate City, the rubble was being combed over for anything valuable. \u201cWe cannot risk letting valuable intelligence slip through our fingers,\u201d Dr. Borg ordered a Drow and Shadow Dragon. \u201cI want this area searched from top to bottom.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere\u2019s an easier way,\u201d called Dalengor\u2019s voice. Another Shadow Dragon in their beastly form then approached. The first Shadow Dragon\u2019s eyes popped open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2026Dalengor?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHello, Lord Dotan,\u201d greeted the mystery Shadow Dragon, Dalengor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAren\u2019t you a member of Arsha\u2019s crew?\u201d asked Dr. Borg suspiciously. \u201cWhat are you doing here?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAssisting our master, Oyed,\u201d answered Dalengor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2026I don\u2019t believe you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBelieve what you wish, but I\u2019m sick and tired of being the last of my kind! This is a chance to see them again, see my old friends!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLet her join us,\u201d urged Dotan. \u201cI know her well.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShe\u2019s been awake longer than your whole race.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWho\u2019s to say I haven\u2019t been hiding my true feelings on the matter?\u201d asked Dalengor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2026I will have to consult with Lord Oyed,\u201d decided Dr. Borg. \u201cYou will have our decision within the hour.\u201d She flew off, leaving the Drow and two Shadow Dragons alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI don\u2019t believe we\u2019ve met,\u201d Dalengor said to the Drow. The Drow pulled her mask down and opened her mouth, revealing her lack of a tongue. Dalengor then moved her hands in Drow Sign Language. The Drow then signed her name, letter by letter. \u201cNice to meet you, Tantu.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTantu was supposed to be your rider,\u201d explained Dotan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell, you still have a chance, Tantu. Shall we go through some training?\u201d Tantu then signed a question. \u201c\u2026You AND Dotan guessed?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI know you, my old lover,\u201d remarked Dotan. \u201cYou don\u2019t usually pop up out of nowhere unless there\u2019s an ulterior motive.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
