It didn\u2019t take long to find the Quad, at least, if we\u2019re going by time alone. Thanks to the help of the Ironside Dalek, the one that Battle decided to call Tetley, and the Special Weapons Dalek, who Rusty started calling Ab, for Abomination, we found it. By my view, on the other hand, it took an eternity. We found it in Ichig\u014d\u2019s universe. \u201cSento,\u201d I said, \u201cwe\u2019re going to need you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGot it!\u201d declared Sento as he equipped the Build Driver. He shook the Fullbottles and set them into the Driver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRABBIT! TANK! BEST MATCH!\u201d He then turned the crank. \u201cARE YOU READY?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHenshin!\u201d said Sento. The suit then formed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHAGANE NO MOONSAULT! RABBITTANK! YAY!\u201d Kamen Rider Build was ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLet\u2019s go!\u201d I declared as I opened a rift beneath us. We traveled to the Kamen Rider universe to see the others already fighting the Quad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHEY! THERE YOU ARE!\u201d shouted Den-O in his Climax Form. Kiva had the blue left arm, a green right arm, and a purple chest. Wizard was in his Flame Dragon Style. Ex-aid was piloting a giant mech that looked like his face. OOO was using the Tajador combo. Kabuto was in his slimmer state. Fourze\u2019s suit was red and had a fire motif. Brave had armor over his usual suit that looked demonic. W was in FangJoker mode. Ghost\u2019s suit was red and black. Para-DX was in his Puzzle Gamer state. Poppy was still Poppy. Drive was wearing armor that made him look like a Formula-1 race car. Bravo was still Bravo. Gaim looked a lot like a Shogun in complete armor, with twin sashimono with his symbol on them. Amazon was swiping at the Vortexons pooling at the Quad\u2019s feet. Stronger was there too, sporting silver trim. Decade had a shoulder band of all the Kamen Ride cards in a row going across his shoulders, pink eyes, and his own Kamen Ride card on his head. The pink part of the Decadriver was at his right hip and in its original place was some sort of phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou cannot defeat us!\u201d declared the Quad. \u201cWe are too powerful!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIchimonji, come to your senses!\u201d Stronger yelled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe can\u2019t hear you right now!\u201d shouted Ichig\u014d as we joined in the fray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBuild,\u201d I suggested, \u201cnow might be a good time to power up.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cExcellent idea,\u201d agreed Build as he pulled out a red device with some sort of clear lid covering a blue button. He opened the lid and pressed the button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMAX HAZARD ON!\u201d it warned. He put it into the Build Driver and took out a long tube, gold and black on one end, silver and black on the other. He shook it and it mad jumping noises a few times. He then twisted the gold cap end as a red light flashed on the silver end. The twist revealed a rabbit\u2019s head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRABBIT!\u201d announced the tube in the Build Driver\u2019s voice. He pulled the tube apart and joined it at the sides, putting it into the Build Driver. \u201cRABBIT AND RABBIT!\u201d said the tube before the Build Driver took over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBUILD UP!\u201d it said. It then looped on \u201cDon Ten Kan! Don Ten Kan!\u201d onomatopoeia for heavy machinery starting up. Build then turned the crank and the belt looped on \u201cGata Gata Gotton! Zutan Zuttan!\u201d onomatopoeia for heavy machinery really going to town. He then stopped as a red rabbit machine hopped into view and an injection molding template surrounded Build. \u201cARE YOU READY?!\u201d said the belt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBuild Up!\u201d ordered Build. The template slammed onto him, then retracted back into the belt to reveal him in a black suit with only the RabbitTank eyes in color.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOVERFLOW!\u201d announced the Build Driver. The mechanical rabbit then split apart. Its front legs went onto Build\u2019s forearms, its rear legs onto his lower legs, and the head and body formed chest armor while a faceplate came down his head, making the eyes both rabbit and having gold trim around them. \u201cKURENAI NO SPEEDY JUMPER!\u201d (The Crimson Speedy Jumper) the Build Driver said. \u201cRABBITRABBIT! YABEI! HAEI!\u201d (Look out! Too fast!) He then stretched his arm as he punched!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat are you, Mr. Fantastic?!\u201d yelped Guard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCan we focus already?!\u201d I shouted. We continued fighting, soon thinning out the Vortexons, but the Quad had opened a rift beneath him. \u201cAFTER HIM!\u201d I ordered everyone. Even the Riders we met along the way had joined us. Our new destination was on the side of a building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis isn\u2019t Gotham,\u201d declared Batman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNor is this Middle-Earth,\u201d Gandalf pointed out, \u201cunless they\u2019ve redecorated.\u201d Wyldstyle shook her head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s the Octan Tower,\u201d she revealed. \u201cExcept gravity\u2019s all wrong.\u201d Benny the Spaceman came up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGravity\u2019s all wrong?\u201d he asked. \u201cI think I would have noticed something like that!\u201d He was under an outcropping as a rift from above him sucked him in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s just\u2026terrifying,\u201d gulped Fourze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs I was saying,\u201d Wyldstyle resumed, \u201cwe should be falling towards that!\u201d She pointed to an energy vortex of darkness at the bottom of the tower. \u201cI mean, I\u2019m glad we\u2019re not.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs am I!\u201d assured Gaim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Quad\u2019s already altering this dimension,\u201d said Batman. \u201cLet\u2019s move.\u201d The Quad then appeared. It leveled its cannon arm at us and fired! We got out of the way and landed on the platforms that were just floating there. The Quad\u2019s heads rotated towards each other, each shifting their attention to another, appearing to be in a debate, before it retreated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe control the elements!\u201d it spoke. \u201cWe control ALL the gateways! Element of fire, the Quad!\u201d Gandalf doubled over in pain as he gripped his Keystone gauntlet. The Quad was then surrounded in the aura that the fire element is associated with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s triggered a Keystone?\u201d asked Wyldstyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat other powers has Vortech given it?\u201d wondered Decade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI don\u2019t know,\u201d I said, \u201cbut I don\u2019t intend to find out!\u201d The Quad set some areas on a platform, the one we were travelling towards, on fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTwo can play at that game!\u201d declared Gandalf. \u201cElemental Keystone, activate! Element of earth, Batman!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEarth? Why?\u201d asked OOO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBecause we can use that seedling there!\u201d Gandalf pointed out the seedling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOne minute,\u201d said Outback as he swapped i.d. tags.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBatman Steel!\u201d announced his belt. His armor changed and he fired a grapple gun at a bookcase, pulling it down. Batman then used his current earth powers to make the seedling grow into a vine bridge to the next platform. The Quad\u2019s heads then turned to each other to debate, then agree on something.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnybody else see that?\u201d asked K\u00e4mpfer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Quad debating with itself?\u201d I asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s the one,\u201d K\u00e4mpfer confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt seems this abomination,\u201d ruminated Batman, \u201chas different personalities which can influence the world, just like the Keystones can.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s something to use to our advantage,\u201d mused Clash. \u201cEndless debate.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve got more immediate concerns,\u201d Wizard pointed out. \u201cThat fiery path there is also electrified!\u201d He pointed out the path to the next platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI got this,\u201d assured Batman. He threw a batarang at a switch, making another one pop up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd I got THIS,\u201d declared Den-O as he pulled the switch. The electricity switched off, so it was just fire. \u201cOkay! Hit me!\u201d demanded Den-O.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBut not an actual hit,\u201d he then said in Urataros\u2019 voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTHEY KNOW WHAT I MEANT!\u201d shouted Momotaros\u2019 voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cElement of water, Den-O!\u201d declared Gandalf. Den-O led the way as he doused the flames. Wyldstyle then started twitching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMaster Builder senses, tingling!\u201d she said excitedly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMind if I assist?\u201d asked Zh\u00e0nsh\u00ec. He swapped i.d. tags.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWyldstyle Steel!\u201d announced his belt. He and Wyldstyle then built a tightrope end out of a desk and some speakers. The rope was thrown near the Quad and we all rappelled down to it. Sadly, the Quad opened a rift before we could do anything and we went tumbling through the vortex. We managed to hit a few bits of rubble that tumbled with us. We soon landed in a pit, looking almost like a forge. A giant tree landed in the pit as Orcs came to chop it up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cUp there!\u201d yelped Battle. We looked up to see the Quad climbing Orthanc! We were in Middle-Earth again!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs you can see,\u201d said the Quad in its collective, monotonous voice, \u201cnothing can stop us. Lord Vortech\u2019s one, true dimension will be a reality!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI don\u2019t believe it!\u201d shouted Gandalf. \u201cThese Orc forges are below Isengard! I will not allow Middle-Earth to be destroyed!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNeither will we!\u201d I declared. \u201cStart climbing!\u201d Ichig\u014d then felt pain in his left arm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI think the Quad\u2019s activated the Scale Keystone!\u201d he gasped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe can use that to our advantage,\u201d I mused as I saw a vent. \u201cIchig\u014d-san, if you please?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLessen scale of Royal!\u201d Ichig\u014d ordered his Keystone. I shrank and saw a push switch. I pushed it hard and a bucket was raised by a rope. I came out and Ichig\u014d restored me to my normal height.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMy turn,\u201d said Wizard. He flipped the WizarDriver\u2019s levers and rotated the hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLupachi magic, touch to go!\u201d it chanted before Wizard scanned a ring. \u201cLevitate, please!\u201d it said before Wizard made the bucket fly into the air and dump the contents. Gandalf used his own magic to assemble a ladder. When it was finished, a rift dumped a pair of clouds and a rainbow to make a path upwards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s a piece of Cloud Cuckoo Land!\u201d gasped Wyldstyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOkay,\u201d I declared, \u201cwe have to stop this madness!\u201d We climbed upwards to find another vent, a long one that wrapped around the top of another ledge. The Orcs had already broken the ladder, so Wyldstyle used a table to make another one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOne of you, get on top!\u201d ordered Ichig\u014d. Claw went up top and dispatched the Orcs. \u201cIs there a breach in the vent?!\u201d asked Ichig\u014d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes,\u201d confirmed Claw. \u201cA large one, big enough for two patches. I can see both of them here!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEnlarge scale of Claw!\u201d Ichig\u014d told his Keystone. She grew and applied the patches to the vents. \u201cLessen scale of Herald G and Herald Y!\u201d Both Herald Riders shrunk and Herald Y went under the dangling piece. \u201cEnlarge scale of Herald Y!\u201d Herald Y grew and Herald G crawled into the vent, messing with the electronics. She then went to the upper ledge when she saw another dangling bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIchig\u014d, I need to shrink!\u201d requested Claw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLessen scale of Claw!\u201d Ichig\u014d told the Keystone. Claw then went under the dangling bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOkay, make me grow again!\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEnlarge scale of Claw!\u201d Ichig\u014d told his Keystone again. Claw grew and Herald G proceeded to mess with the electronics again. All of a sudden, a giant water wheel started moving. It led to a higher ledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI think that did it!\u201d said Wyldstyle. \u201cLet\u2019s get going!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNormalize scales of Claw, Herald G, and Herald Y!\u201d Ichig\u014d ordered his Keystone. We then traveled up the water wheel and fought our way through Orcs to get to an elevator. Once we got through, the elevator took us up to the base of Orthanc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSorry, no admission!\u201d declared the Quad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSomething lies within the Tower of Orthanc,\u201d guessed Gandalf, \u201cit wishes to remain hidden.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThen let\u2019s discover it!\u201d I declared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYOU SHALL NOT PASS!\u201d boomed the Quad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPlagiarist!\u201d I responded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s one thing to deny us entry,\u201d agreed Gandalf, \u201cbut quite another to steal a man\u2019s words!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGuys! Look!\u201d exclaimed Wyldstyle. She had pointed out a Chroma Lock design scattered across the Orc flags. An orange left L-shape, a purple right L-shape, and a blue circle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt looks like the Chroma Discs are up high,\u201d said OOO. He was right. Two of them were in cages and one of them was on a platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGet them down!\u201d I ordered. Batman pulled one down while Gandalf magicked the other down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cChroma Keystone, activate!\u201d Wyldstyle told her Keystone. \u201cChroma Lock, reveal! Chroma! Red! Brave! Chroma! Yellow! Den-O! Chroma! Blue! Fourze!\u201d The three Riders jumped into the paint blobs and then arranged themselves into the Chroma Lock. Fourze landed in the blue circle, then joined Brave in the right L-shape, then Brave joined Den-O in the left L-shape. Orthanc\u2019s doors then opened while the Quad fired on us. The tower was hiding another rift as it sucked us in. This time, the Quad followed us. We landed on a rooftop. Over in the sky, we saw the Bat signal!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGotham,\u201d said Batman. \u201cWe\u2019re in Gotham. I recognize this city anywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Quad was right behind us, right?\u201d I inquired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNow that you mention it, yes,\u201d confirmed Guard. \u201cSo, where is it?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGuys, over there!\u201d yelped Touch\u00e9. She pointed to three rifts in the sky with images in them. They were of Wyldstyle, Gandalf, and Ichig\u014d\u2019s worlds. They seemed to be bleeding into each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat looks bad,\u201d said Bravo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA by-product of Vortech\u2019s tampering?\u201d I wondered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPossibly,\u201d said Build. As soon as he made the guess, four people arrived. One was a black man with most of his body in metal. The second was a green-skinned kid with pointy ears. The third was an orange-skinned girl with red hair, green eyes, and a purple skirt and top. The last was a young woman with ashen grey skin, purple and black hair, a navy cloak and hood, and a leotard with long sleeves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTitans, what are you doing here?!\u201d demanded Batman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe had the Bat signal on for a week now, after this nonsense started!\u201d explained the cyborg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo you thought it was a good idea to go into a battle zone without Robin,\u201d snapped Batman. \u201cVery good leadership, Cyborg. Didn\u2019t any of you object?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt didn\u2019t seem right to object,\u201d said the girl in the cloak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou, of all people, Raven?!\u201d groaned Batman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAfter I felt Robin vanish,\u201d explained Raven, \u201cI knew something was up. We\u2019ve searched for weeks, Beast Boy staying in animal forms for longer than ever.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt wasn\u2019t exactly pleasant,\u201d said the green kid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhen this mess started,\u201d began Cyborg, \u201cand you weren\u2019t here, I felt someone had to protect Gotham.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat about Jump City?\u201d asked Batman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe League of Justice is doing the protecting of our home,\u201d explained the orange girl. I think her name was Starfire, or something. I don\u2019t know, the only heroes in the DC universe I know of are Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. In any event, the conversation was cut short. The bleeding rifts closed, allowing a clean one to open, deposit various items from the forges below Isengard, and letting the Quad land near us. It towered over the building, giving us a sense of insignificance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
