And, given Mordek\u2019s hatred for Drows and Shadow Dragons, there\u2019s no chance of peace between Realms. With his desire to make them extinct, the Realms will eventually turn their backs on all of my children. Soon, they will turn to me for guidance.\u201d He turned to Dr. Borg. \u201cPrepare the defenses. We keep the city until we find the Realmgate plans.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAt once, Lord Oyed,\u201d confirmed Dr. Borg as she bowed. She then flew off to relay the orders. Oyed grinned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOh, my children, can you not feel the noose tightening around your throat?\u201d Oyed decided to tour the castle, just to examine what he gained so far. He stepped out onto a balcony to see Tormo and Yulduk talking about something.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSee, I think they\u2019re too treacherous for our purposes,\u201d remarked Yulduk. \u201cI think THEY will be the ones to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCome on,\u201d scoffed Tormo, \u201cthere\u2019s no way they\u2019d side with him. Realmfleet\u2019s gonna try something first before they do.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhat are you two talking about?\u201d asked Oyed. The Revenant and Goblin whirled around to see their master.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have a feeling that something\u2019s going to make things difficult for us,\u201d explained Yulduk. \u201cI think the Shadow Dragons and Drows will betray us at some point, even going so far as to suggest a bet.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAnd <em>I<\/em> think,\u201d said Tormo, \u201cthat Realmfleet will try something to remove a good number of our forces before that happens.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMind if I get in on that action?\u201d offered Oyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2026You know what, sure,\u201d accepted Tormo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhat\u2019s your pick?\u201d asked Yulduk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI think that the Shadow Dragons and Drows will be the ones to wipe out Realmfleet,\u201d answered Oyed. \u201cTheir hatred for Mordek alone is too great to allow them to consider betraying us and letting Realmfleet try anything.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re sure?\u201d quizzed Yulduk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPositive. I spent a thousand years grooming them both to be my disciples.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2026I guess that WOULD give you the inside track on them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSo, the question is, how interesting do we want to make it?\u201d asked Tormo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c100 Golds?\u201d offered Oyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2026No disrespect, but what possible use could you have for money?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI stole some gold and wanted to experiment with the activities you mortals do with it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFair enough.\u201d A robot then approached them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLord Oyed, the enemy is here!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThen, by all means, destroy them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe city\u2019s preparing the defenses!\u201d warned Malak as the <em>Endeavor<\/em> moved closer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cKeep shields up until we get the signal,\u201d ordered Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOh, that is precious!\u201d laughed Oyed. \u201cDr. Borg\u2019s main nemesis is leading the attack!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cArsha? Uh oh, there\u2019s a plan somewhere,\u201d muttered Yulduk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDr. Borg\u2019s nemesis may have Fae levels of craftiness, but she\u2019s only a Human\/Kitsune Blender.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t underestimate her,\u201d warned Tormo. \u201cShe\u2019s managed to undo a few of our endeavors before! In fact, she was involved when you stepped into the Mortal Realm on that island!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYes, but she was but a pawn for my children.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cShe also cracked your ribs in that morgue, remember?\u201d asked Yulduk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cShe did WHAT?!\u201d yelped Tormo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYulduk, I thought you and Dr. Borg promised to never talk about that again,\u201d hissed Oyed. \u201cBesides, that was a lucky shot. She won\u2019t get the chance again.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2026Hey, why aren\u2019t they firing?\u201d asked Tormo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCaptain,\u201d called Shalvey, \u201cTanta\u2019s giving us coordinates.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFeed them into the helm,\u201d ordered Arsha. \u201cNazay, get us there pronto.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAye aye,\u201d confirmed Nazay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cErm, I must repeat Tormo\u2019s question,\u201d muttered Oyed as he looked through the spyglass. \u201cWhy aren\u2019t the guns firing?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSomething isn\u2019t right here,\u201d remarked Tormo as he took the spyglass and looked out. \u201c\u2026Oh dear.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhat?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLord Oyed, you owe us both some gold.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBoth of us?\u201d asked Yulduk. \u201cWhy?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Drows and Shadow Dragons are shaking hands with Realmfleet,\u201d explained Tormo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTHEY\u2019RE WHAT?!\u201d shouted Oyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThat was 20 hours of my life!\u201d protested Yulduk. \u201cThose assholes!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPossibly the rest of it if they start firing on our guys,\u201d mused Tormo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t understand!\u201d snarled Oyed. \u201cWe had them in our grasp, even\u2026\u201d Oyed then realized what happened, \u201cthe one that woke up before her people did it!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2026Okay, I think we shot ourselves in the foot, letting the former last of the Shadow Dragons in on the scheme,\u201d gulped Yulduk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t follow,\u201d muttered Tormo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cShe actually did it!\u201d roared Oyed. \u201cShe convinced both species to\u2026to make peace with Mordek! I didn\u2019t spend a thousand years converting them to my cause just for some weak Realmfleeter to undo it within five days!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThink we better save our forces?\u201d asked Yulduk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMight as well,\u201d growled Oyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Even with their new allies, Realmfleet was still at a slight disadvantage against the enemy. The Revenants were quite the formidable fighters. Tanta and Dotan had teamed up and were casting offensive spells at their former allies but were quickly becoming exhausted. \u201cI\u2019m runnink out of mana!\u201d panted Tanta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m down to my fire-breath!\u201d replied Dotan as he unleashed said breath. Mordek then leapt in and slammed his hammer to the ground. \u201c\u2026Well, never thought I\u2019d actually be grateful to you!\u201d growled Dotan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe can discuss that if and when we get out of this!\u201d called Mordek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFine by me!\u201d answered Tanta. It was then that the three targeted the same Revenant. \u201cTasuno!\u201d chanted Tanta as she fired a purple magic blast. Dotan unleashed a fire-ball from his mouth and Mordek thrust a beam of red light from his hammer. Then\u2026something happened. Their eyes turned into white lights and they spoke as one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEnsakunde!\u201d they called. The Revenant was then struck down by all three blasts and fell. The veins on the body then faded and the eyes became what they once were. Mordek, Dotan, and Tanta were shocked at what they did. A robot then examined the body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2026Life signs\u2026terminated!\u201d it reported. The Revenant had gone from Undead to just dead!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEnsakunde!\u201d chanted Mordek as he fired from his hammer. The spell hit another Revenant and it fell over, same as the first. Mordek and Tanta did it again with their remaining mana. \u201cTanta and Dotan, you two are geniuses!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2026Tank you!\u201d replied Tanta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey can\u2019t possibly\u2026!\u201d gulped Oyed as he and Dr. Borg fought other soldiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEnsakunde!\u201d called another soldier as he fired the spell at his Revenant opponent. The Revenant fell dead, putting the Realm Trinity Empire into a panic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is bad! This is REALLY bad!\u201d yelped Dr. Borg. \u201cWe can\u2019t sustain that kind of loss!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSound the retreat!\u201d ordered Oyed. \u201cThe city is lost!\u201d Dr. Borg began by calling Plunder Island Stronghold to expect the occupation force\u2026only the reply wasn\u2019t what she expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMy DEAR Doctor, we would be DELIGHTED to host your CHARMING forces.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cREB?!\u201d shrieked Dr. Borg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDid you just say Reb?! As in Reb Rojam?! What\u2019s she doing on the line?!\u201d demanded Oyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cActing very calm about it, which means she\u2019s not in any danger in OUR headquarters!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMeaning she\u2019s reclaimed it somehow!\u201d realized Oyed. He then roared in frustration. \u201cThe Under-realm is lost to us! Retreat to the Mid-realm!\u201d Dr. Borg sounded the retreat and Oyed opened various portals. Some of his followers picked up a few of the fallen Revenants as they retreated. Soon, the battlefield was empty of the Realm Trinity Empire. Mordek gazed over the area and smiled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMy friends, the day is won!\u201d The allied members cheered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Arsha finally met Dotan and Tanta in person as they discussed their discovery. \u201cIt looks like we\u2019ve got a weapon against Revenants!\u201d cheered Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s rather mana-intensive,\u201d warned Dotan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith Shadow Dragons and Drows working with our mages and scientists,\u201d assured Arsha, \u201cwe\u2019ll figure out how to make up for that deficit.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur respectif people,\u201d remarked Tanta, \u201cton\u2019t haf koot history, yet you wish to help us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBecause I\u2019d like to consider myself better than my ancestors,\u201d answered Arsha. \u201cCall it arrogance if you will, but I\u2019d rather not repeat their mistakes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2026I can get by tat,\u201d chuckled Tanta. She then turned her gaze to Mordek. \u201cI am equally stunt tat you assitet us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2026I wish to atone for my sins,\u201d explained Mordek. \u201cI abandoned your people when they didn\u2019t follow my doctrine to the letter, and the Realms suffered because of it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cA God says that he has sinned?\u201d snorted Dotan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEven we are capable of error.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTen you may atone by helpink us reclaim our homes,\u201d answered Tanta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWithout delay,\u201d promised Mordek. He turned to Arsha. \u201cCaptain, with your permission, I would like to stay behind and help them regain their old homes. We will speak with Orbak and explain the situation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPermission granted, Lord Mordek,\u201d bid Arsha. \u201cGood luck.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThank you, Arsha. I have a feeling we\u2019ll need it.\u201d Mordek then bowed to Arsha. Dotan and Tanta WERE surprised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2026Perhaps your heart IS capable of change,\u201d rumbled Dotan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhat I wish to know,\u201d muttered Tanta, \u201cis why Oyet ant his followers left te Unter-realm. To tey not haf a base here?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s thanks to a little deal I struck,\u201d answered Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2026Was this deal with Reb Rojam?\u2019 asked Mordek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was.
