The day of the Unicron Games finally arrived. Scarlet Garcia was in the commentator\u2019s balcony. \u201cThis is Scarlet Garcia, reporting to you live from the Unicron Games! This is it, ladies and gentlemen of Mobius, the day where the fate of the world is decided by a death match. In my honest opinion, I was hoping such a situation would stay within the confines of anime, yet here we are. We\u2019ve got quite the crowd here, a lot of people on the side of our heroes\u2026and some people actually cheering FOR Unicron, for reasons that escape me. In any case, accompanying me is Agent Shadow of G.U.N!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHello,\u201d grunted Shadow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo, Shadow, you\u2019ve got the inside track of the fighter line-up. Can you tell me who\u2019s fighting Unicron?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRight now, it\u2019s two groups of three. One is Team Sonic, consisting of Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails, and the other is Team Prime, consisting of Optimus, Megatron, and Bumblebee.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Megatron? As in, the Destroyer of Station Square?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cUnlike Unicron, Megatron prefers to rule over something tangible, he\u2019s not bound to destroy everything in his path. His personal stake in this is that he wants to rule over Mobius and Cybertron and he can\u2019t do that if Unicron has his way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo, he\u2019s just overthrowing a rival for conquest.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBingo.\u201d A fanfare then interrupted them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt looks like the games are starting!\u201d called Scarlet Garcia. \u201cUnicron is approaching the torch!\u201d The Chaos Bringer approached what looked like an Olympic Torch at the top of the stands and summoned a fireball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI declare the Unicron Games\u2026OPEN!\u201d he called. He threw the fireball into the Torch and then leapt down to the arena. He took up a microphone and spoke into it. \u201cNow, I must admit, I didn\u2019t think ANYONE would sign up, much less two teams! But, I didn\u2019t say there was a one-person limit to fight me, so let\u2019s get to it! Presenting the Champion, the Chaos-Bringer, The Unmaker, the Destroyer, the One and Only\u2026ME! UNICRON!\u201d His fans cheered loudly, and he basked in their praise. \u201cThank you! Thank you! You\u2019re too kind! SO, who\u2019s going to take me on in a battle for the ages? Who shall attempt to defeat me and win this planet\u2019s survival and a lifetime supply of Chaos-Cola? Come on, now, don\u2019t be shy! Perhaps Optimus would like first crack at me?\u201d He pointed to Team Prime in the stands. He then tossed the mic to Optimus. Optimus caught and surprised everyone with his reply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNope, not interested in taking the first swing at you.\u201d Even Unicron was surprised. He got out another mic and spoke into it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou\u2019re on the roster, though. Why refuse my challenge?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI didn\u2019t say I was refusing it. I just said Team Prime\u2019s not taking up the right now. Right now, I would like to introduce your first challengers! They\u2019ve been fighting Eggman long before Jazz came here, they\u2019ve fought titans, they\u2019ve freed the Wisp Race, they\u2019ve gathered the Chaos Emeralds multiple times, they\u2019ve locked you up in Mobius\u2019 core once, presenting TEEEAAAAMMM SONIIIIIIIC!\u201d Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles then stepped into the ring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026You know, I DO owe Sonic for that last one,\u201d mused Unicron. \u201cBut, know this, as I fight them, I WILL be thinking of you!\u201d He put the mic down and got into a fighting stance. Team Sonic did the same and the bell rang! Scarlet Garcia and Shadow did all the commentary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWow!\u201d remarked Scarlet Garcia. \u201cThings went off rather quickly as Team Sonic just toppled Unicron in Robot Mode!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTraining with the Autobots,\u201d answered Shadow, \u201ctends to help you learn a Transformer\u2019s physical weaknesses.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt looks like Unicron\u2019s getting back up and\u2026HOLY! IS THAT ENERGY BLAST LEGAL?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, it looks like it\u2019s been absorbed by a shield around the crowd, so I guess so. Besides, it came from his weapons systems, (he said weapons are legal, remember) and it looks like Team Sonic was fast enough to get out of the way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWait, why\u2019s Tails flying around the ring\u2019s posts?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGiving covering fire, it looks like.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Aren\u2019t you their friend?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s a pretty strong word. Besides, they said not everyone should know about the plan, just the mages, Team Sonic, and Team Prime.\u201d Their attention returned to the fight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cUnicron looks like he\u2019s rolling with the punches!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs expected. It looks like Unicron\u2019s still not wise to it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI don\u2019t know, Unicron\u2019s pummeling Knuckles and Sonic! Wait, Tails is divebombing him and\u2026TAILS! HE\u2019S BEEN HIT! TEAM SONIC\u2019S JUST PANTING ON THE GROUND! SOMEONE HEAL THEM!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cUnicron\u2019s declared that any outside help means a forfeiture of the tournament. They can\u2019t take a healer now.\u201d At this point, Scarlet Garcia lost patience with Shadow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOkay, if you\u2019re REALLY that concerned about them cheating, either loosen your moral code or DON\u2019T PIN THE FATE OF MOBIUS ON A DEATH MATCH!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI can\u2019t believe YOU\u2019RE the one commenting on this with me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHey, you said it, not me!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSonic isn\u2019t like ANY of us! He\u2019s the one who\u2019s more than earned the title of Hero of Mobius! He\u2019d send the healer back because it\u2019s not just the fate of the planet that\u2019s at stake!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat else IS there to fight for?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHis hero\u2019s pride! He\u2019ll see this fight through to the end without ANY help\u2026even if it KILLS him!\u201d Down in the ring, Tails whispered something to Sonic, then Sonic whispered something to Knuckles\u2026then all three of them jumped out of the ring!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe give up!\u201d announced Sonic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019LL KILL THEM ALL!\u201d shouted Shadow, his face contorted in rage. Scarlet Garcia held Shadow back as she reported what was going on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLadies and gentlemen, I wish I could say you heard that wrong, but you didn\u2019t! Sonic the Hedgehog, the recently discovered heir to Aleena\u2019s throne and Hero of Mobius\u2026has given up!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m\u2026sorry, I\u2019m not sure I\u2019m reading this situation right!\u201d snarled Unicron. \u201cWhat did you just say, Sonic?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe give up!\u201d repeated Knuckles. \u201cThat means you win!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGreat fight, Lord Unicron!\u201d thanked Tails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWh\u2026wha\u2026WHAT\u2019S GOING ON?!\u201d demanded Amy in the stands. \u201cWHAT ARE THEY DOING?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
