\u201cWhy haven\u2019t they started in Spagonia?\u201d quizzed Chromia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s more than likely,\u201d remarked Merlin, \u201cthat our enemies already found the Sword of Parallels.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThen we need to search Shamar,\u201d declared Optimus. \u201cEveryone, we\u2019re on the clock. We need to find the World Rings before Eggman does. Scattershot, you and your team stay here and run interference with Teletraan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes, Sir,\u201d replied Scattershot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEveryone else, we gotta get moving! Teletraan, inform the Shamaran government what we\u2019re doing there.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCliffjumper already sent the call. They\u2019ve deployed their military to help us,\u201d reported Teletraan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPerfect. Open up the Ground Bridge.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGot it.\u201d The Ground Bridge then opened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAutobots, transform and roll out!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Autobots arrived at Shamar rather quickly. The Shamaran military met them, and they began their search. Chromia, Grimlock, Slash, and a company of Shamaran soldiers began the search in the north. Chromia was intent on finding a World Ring. Armed with a description and picture from Shahra, she was not prepared to fail. \u201cA woman on a mission,\u201d mused Grimlock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSlag yeah,\u201d replied Chromia. \u201cI won\u2019t let the Cons take them! Especially if Megatron\u2019s been spotted!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIs something wrong?\u201d asked a soldier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou\u2019ve heard of Megatron, right?\u201d quizzed Slash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI heard he helped Optimus beat Unicron.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, he only did that for his own ends.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSlash is right,\u201d remarked Chromia. \u201cNow that Cliffjumper found him, he\u2019s gonna\u2026gonna make a\u2026a bid for\u2026phew!\u201d Chromia was visibly tired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHey, are you okay?\u201d asked Grimlock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m fine, just having a bit of trouble getting going.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo, no, I\u2019m fiIIARGH!\u201d Chromia then collapsed to the ground, clutching her chest as one with a heart attack would. Slash activated a medical visor and examined her comrade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSweet Primus, a Spark Attack!\u201d she growled. She then rubbed her hands. \u201cGrimlock, move her hands away from her chest!\u201d Grimlock complied. \u201cCLEAR!\u201d Slash then pressed her hands to Chromia\u2019s sides and shocked her. Chromia jolted, then her breathing steadied. \u201cHer Spark\u2019s stabilizing, but she needs immediate treatment!\u201d Grimlock then switched on the radio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRatchet! Swoop! Chromia just suffered a Spark Attack! She needs help back to base!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOn our way!\u201d replied Ratchet. He and Swoop arrived and helped Chromia to her feet as the Ground Bridge opened. Once that was done, the search resumed, but it left a worry on a lot of people\u2019s minds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDid you feel any pain before this all went down?\u201d Ratchet asked Chromia once she was on a repair berth in the base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSlight, but I\u2019ve suffered worse.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd the cough you\u2019ve been having?\u201d inquired Swoop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAgain, I\u2019ve had worse.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDid anyone notice this earlier?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPrime did. I should have gone straight to you the instant I was done talking to him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, no point in woulda-coulda-shouldas,\u201d remarked Ratchet. \u201cWe\u2019ll find out what\u2019s wrong with you before the day\u2019s out. I\u2019m ready to induce stasis. You good to go?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYep, go ahead.\u201d Ratchet keyed in a command on a nearby console and Chromia went into stasis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thundercracker and Shockwave were searching for something else. Yes, the World Rings were a priority, but Shockwave found a familiar Spark signature and Thundercracker gathered large amounts of metal, figuring that the bot would need repairs on his armor. Shockwave brought along some Energon cubes for the bot. \u201cCome on!\u201d groaned Thundercracker as he slapped the scanner. \u201cYou\u2019re around here somewhere!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPercussive maintenance is not a viable method of fixing things,\u201d remarked Shockwave. \u201cI wish for our old leader back like you do, but patience is necessary.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026I will say one thing, it\u2019s lucky that a sandstorm hasn\u2019t kicked up, otherwise\u2026\u201d the wind then picked up and kicked up a lot of sand. \u201c\u2026Because I HAD to open my fragging mouth! PRIMUS, THIS IS JUST RIDICULOUS! WE\u2019VE LOST OUR LORD! WE\u2019VE LOST SIGHT OF OUR ORIGINAL GOALS! WE\u2019VE LOST OUR SIGHT! FRAGGIT ALL, WE\u2019RE LOST\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWELL, IT\u2019S THE ONLY THING IN MY POWER RIGHT NOW, SO I\u2019M GONNA\u2026!\u201d A hand then grabbed Thundercracker\u2019s ankle, making him scream in terror. He got out of the hand\u2019s grip and hid behind Shockwave. Shockwave then pulled out a scanner and started going towards the hand. As she got closer, the familiar Spark signature got stronger, and more details were made apparent to her vision. She then saw the head of the hand\u2019s owner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s him!\u201d she called. \u201cIt\u2019s Megatron!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou sure?!\u201d asked Thundercracker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHard to mistake that helmet design or the angry eyebrow design above his own!\u201d The two then started digging around their master and yanked him out, checking him over once he was fully out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cArms: two, check,\u201d muttered Thundercracker. \u201cLegs: two, check. Optics: two, check. Chest unit: one, check. Olfactory apparatus: one, check. Mouth: one, check. BFG: one\u2026no check.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe old fusion cannon consumed too much of his internal reserves,\u201d replied Shockwave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd the twin ones you built are supposed to be more efficient?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhen not used at the same time.\u201d Shockwave checked her scanner. \u201cHis Spark-rate\u2019s slower, but not critically so. Still, he requires Energon. Give him a cube.\u201d As Thundercracker obeyed, Shockwave propped Megatron up so he could drink it. Thundercracker brought the cube to Megatron\u2019s mouth and gently tilted it towards him. Once the liquid Energon started going down his fuel intake, Megatron grabbed the cube and drank it all on his own, slowly so his fuel pump could take it. The instant he finished; his optics glowed red once more. He looked at his rescuers and smirked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI never thought, in all my life,\u201d he mused aloud, \u201cthat I would be rescued by you two, the most notorious Decepticons in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, we needed oyu back something fierce,\u201d remarked Thundercracker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEggman implanted us with a device,\u201d explained Shockwave, \u201cthat shocks us whenever we disobey him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDisobey HIM?!\u201d asked Megatron as he picked himself up with Thundercracker and Shockwave rising with him to make sure he was steady. \u201cHe\u2019s seized command of the Decepticons?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWith the Combaticons at the apex,\u201d confirmed Shockwave. \u201cHe\u2019s also found a means to produce his own Transformers with Metal Sonic long having been cannibalized to more efficiently command their hive mind. They\u2019re called the Eggacons, and I have the means to shut them down, but I have yet to find the means to free us from Eggman\u2019s service totally.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve been trying to find you on the sly, but Eggman\u2019s been watching us more that Soundwave did! We were forbidden from sending out search parties! The only reason we even got to you right now is because your Spark signature came up and Eggman wanted to have us investigate it while he searched for the World Rings!
