\u201cAgent Shadow,\u201d grunted the black and red hedgehog. \u201cThe one beside me is Prowl of the Autobots.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPleased to meet you, Ma\u2019am,\u201d greeted Prowl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cShadow, what\u2019s going on here?\u201d asked the hedgehog girl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAgent Shadow, and I want answers. You said you were on Eggman\u2019s moon base. How did you get down here?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI used Chaos Control like you did.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo, you\u2019re Chaos-sensitive?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMaybe a little less than you. I was trying to get to the Space Colony, but I ended up here.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhy to the Space Colony?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI thought you would be there.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhy me?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBecause you\u2019re the one who understands my position.\u201d Shadow arched an eyeridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI fail to see how,\u201d he remarked. The hedgehog girl looked pleadingly at him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cShadow, please! I know I look different, but it IS me!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou took Maria\u2019s name and styled your quills like Maria did her hair. Why?\u201d The hedgehog girl then realized what was going on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIs there a surefire way for you to see that I\u2019m not lying?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s where Prowl comes in.\u201d Prowl then strode forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMa\u2019am, I have been authorized to corroborate everything you\u2019re going to say,\u201d he explained. \u201cRight now, you\u2019re in a room that\u2019s lined with the most advanced lie detectors on Mobius and Cybertron. Right now, I need you to lie to me. How old are you?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c17,\u201d replied the girl. A light flashed red in the ceiling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOkay, good. Now, Shadow, proceed with your questions.\u201d Shadow stepped forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHow did you get to the moon in the first place?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMorgane Le Fay brought me there, albeit without all my memories.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo you were resurrected?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s right. My soul was just put into a new body.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhere did the body come from?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Space Colony ARK. Genetics lab 17, room five. The same room you were created in.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cProwl.\u201d Prowl took that as a cue to check. He remotely connected to the security feeds on the ARK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAccess code 17-42,\u201d the girl chimed in. Prowl tried it and was stunned at the results. It showed Eggman carrying a tube of green liquid with the hedgehog girl inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cConfirmed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThank you,\u201d replied Shadow. He resumed his interrogation. \u201cSo, you\u2019re an artificial life-form like me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot quite. You see, you\u2019re a hybrid of Black Arms and Hedgehog, I\u2019ve got human DNA in that mix.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHuman? How was it made compatible?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s one of Professor Gerald\u2019s secrets. It should be found in his personal logs. The code to access that is 4-1-7.\u201d Shadow nodded to Prowl, and the Autobot Cop accessed that part of the computer systems. His eyes widened as the read the data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSh-Shadow,\u201d he stammered, \u201cit says here that the human part of that body\u2026came from a Ms. Maria Robotnik!\u201d Shadow\u2019s eyes went wide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMaria?!\u201d he breathed. He then glared at the hedgehog girl. \u201cWhat memories do you have?! Whose soul did Morgane put in that body?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Do you remember when we had a walk around the ARK a couple of times?\u201d asked the girl. \u201cI always told you about how I wanted to see the surface of Mobius.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026And then you died of your NIDS,\u201d muttered Shadow. The girl could see that it was an obvious lie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCome on, Shadow, you know what really happened. Your ear always flicked whenever you lied. It was from a government soldier\u2019s bullet. It managed to go through my shoulder blade and hit my heart as I activated your stasis pod and sent you to the surface of the planet. I distinctly remember telling you to give the rest of my former race to be happy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI don\u2019t believe it, it IS you! Maria!\u201d Shadow then brought the girl, now believing it was his best friend, Maria Robotnik, into a bear hug. They stayed that way for a good minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo, you believe her?\u201d asked Prowl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOf course, I do!\u201d snapped Shadow as he broke off the hug. \u201cAnd if she\u2019s gotten intel on the Decepticons, then we should decode it now!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019ve already decoded most of it on the way here,\u201d called Maria. \u201cI was gathering more until Megatron found out after I discovered who\u2019s going into space and who was staying.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThen we should tell Optimus what we can,\u201d declared Prowl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After everyone heard the story about Maria, the rest of the intel was decoded, plans were made, and the loading of ships increased. The remaining intel was who on Megatron\u2019s side would stay. The Combaticons and Metal Sonic were ordered to stay on Mobius, the Nemesis, Whale Shark, Decimator, <\/em>and Revenge<\/em> would go to Cybertron. On each ship were Clench, Knock-out, Megatron, and Shockwave on the Nemesis<\/em> with Megatron in command of the ship, Obsidian, Strika, and Eggman on the Whale Shark <\/em>with Eggman in charge, Tankor and Morgane on the Revenge <\/em>with Morgane as Captain, and Jetstorm, Overdrive, and Thundercracker aboard the Decimator <\/em>with Thundercracker as the head honcho. Their flight path was also discovered, so the Autobots knew where to confront them. The journey to Cybertron would have the following stops in the following order: Nebulos, Animatros, Velocitron, and Gigantion. Optimus had to make a few decisions on who would go on what ship out of the people going to space. As he pondered, Teletraan popped up. \u201cHey, Prime, could I have a word?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSure, buddy,\u201d answered Optimus. \u201cWhat can I do for you?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIt\u2019s about the A.I. situation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026A.I. situation?<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI don\u2019t know if you know this, but there\u2019s a situation concerning me. If I stay here, the guys in space won\u2019t be able to coordinate effectively. If I go, though, then the guys here have the same issue.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNot if the Technobots have anything to say about it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026Sir?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cRemember that bit of code you isolated before the World Rings affair went down?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYeah?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cTurns out, it was naturally-occurring code with a few similarities from you. It\u2019s been trying to form its own personality.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026It\u2019s an A.I?! I\u2019m a DAD?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIf you want the A.I. to take over Mobian affairs while you go out to space, you need to raise it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cGive me half an hour!\u201d Teletraan 1 then vanished. Optimus then got a call from Afterburner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cPrime, we\u2019ve got a situation here!\u201d he clamored. \u201cTeletraan\u2019s just locked himself into a server that only us Technobots got access to! He\u2019s taken that code-bud!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cGive him half an hour,\u201d replied Optimus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026Oh, yeah, computer time\u2019s faster than real time. \u2026He\u2019s raising that baby A.I. alone? That\u2019s gotta be stressful.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cTell your brothers that you need to check on him every chance you guys get.
