\u201cI\u2019m tired of hiding!\u201d hissed Deadlock. \u201cStand clear and let me deal with this!\u201d She then jumped and overtook the electro-sanitizers, then landed on a ledge. The electro-sanitizers detected her and ran straight up to her. \u201cThat\u2019s it, come meet your demise!\u201d she declared as she drew one of her swords. She then sliced one in two and threw the remains at the other, destroying it. Grimlock simply nodded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot bad,\u201d he remarked. He then heard a new electro-sanitizer from behind him. \u201cNow you get to watch how an Autobot handles those things!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGRIMLOCK, LOOK OUT!\u201d warned Perceptor. Grimlock transformed to beast mode and swung his tail into the electro-sanitizer, breaking it and making it explode, taking the guiding wire with it in the process. \u201c\u2026Well, that bought us some time,\u201d breathed Perceptor in relief. \u201cWe better utilize as much speed as possible. We\u2019re in Starscream\u2019s shoulder joint. His chest should be around here somewhere.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThanks for telling us,\u201d snarked Grimlock. \u201cI never would have figured that out myself!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cJust hope he doesn\u2019t make any sudden movements,\u201d gulped Perceptor. They climbed up the gears, pullies, and levers that made up Starscream\u2019s internal shoulder mechanics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Starscream felt something tickling the insides of his shoulder. \u201c\u2026Stray dust probably,\u201d he muttered to himself. He moved his arm to get the \u201cdust\u201d towards electro-sanitizers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The team tumbled as the mechanisms moved suddenly. Shahra and Deadlock landed on a gear with only bumps, Grimlock managed to get himself onto a hydraulic tube, and Perceptor was hanging on a ledge over a set of cogs that were moving. \u201cJump, Perceptor!\u201d urged Deadlock. Perceptor let go, then Grimlock tackled him to a safer area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSome hero!\u201d he grunted. \u201cNext time, stay home! You could have guided us through the mission!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI hate to be a pedantic bore,\u201d replied Perceptor, \u201cbut that option wasn\u2019t a viable one. Talking to miniaturized bots always made radio communication impossible. The range on a bot\u2019s personal radio shrinks in proportion to the bot.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo, you didn\u2019t have a choice, huh?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot if you want to succeed, no, I didn\u2019t!\u201d Deadlock then swung her Great Sword to the floor right between the two mechs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIf you idiots are done!\u201d she hissed. \u201cLet\u2019s move!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Starscream saw Airazor fly down towards a city-state and grinned. \u201cPraxus, eh? I always loved scaring a Praxian!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPrime, this is Airazor!\u201d called the falcon Maximal over the comms. \u201cStarscream and I are about a hundred miles and closing! ETA, ten minutes!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cUnderstood,\u201d replied Optimus. \u201cBots, we\u2019ve got a force-field to set up!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhere are we now?\u201d asked Shahra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSomewhere in Starscream\u2019s neck,\u201d replied Perceptor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWait, his neck?!\u201d asked Grimlock. \u201cHow come it\u2019s so hard to tell which way we\u2019re going?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat do you mean?\u201d asked Shahra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGrimlock\u2019s right,\u201d remarked Deadlock. \u201cIf we were in his neck, then, ideally, the only option we would pick is down if he were upright. Meaning\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe\u2019s horizontal!\u201d realized Perceptor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPlease tell me that means he\u2019s asleep!\u201d gulped Shahra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAsleep, nothing! See those lights along the walls?\u201d Perceptor pointed to a group of lights as they flashed blue. \u201cThose are a Transformer\u2019s robotniks, our nerves, if you will. Each one has a specific color code. That particular shade of blue tells us that he\u2019s flying in robot mode!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd that\u2019s bad news for our guys!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHey! What\u2019s that glow?!\u201d called Grimlock as he pointed out a cavern with a strange light in it. Everyone followed it and saw a glowing sphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOkay, I know enough Transformer biology,\u201d said Shahra, \u201cto identify that thing! That\u2019s Starscream\u2019s brain!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026How come it\u2019s so quiet?\u201d muttered Grimlock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe must not be engaging any major brain functions, like communications or moving,\u201d guessed Deadlock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIsn\u2019t he flying?\u201d asked Shahra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFor a flyer, that\u2019s not a major brain function,\u201d replied Perceptor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, I\u2019ve got a honey of an idea!\u201d declared Grimlock. \u201cLet\u2019s bash brains!\u201d He raised his fist to the brain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNO, GRIMLOCK!\u201d called Perceptor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot without me!\u201d supplied Deadlock as she drew her swords.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPut them away!\u201d urged Perceptor as he and Shahra held their teammates back. \u201cIt\u2019s too dangerous!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cListen to Perceptor, you two!\u201d pleaded Shahra. \u201cHe\u2019s right!\u201d Just then, the brain chamber shook as it rotated. Everyone fell towards a wall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe force-field\u2019s all set to go,\u201d reported Tails, \u201cbut it\u2019s only gonna last five minutes against Starscream.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s five minutes more than we\u2019d have without it,\u201d replied Tails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cINCOMING!\u201d called Airazor as they swooped in to join them. Starscream landed shortly after.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe gotta buy Perceptor more time!\u201d declared Optimus as he switched his comms on. \u201cAll available Autobots, move out!\u201d Hardhead and Duros rolled out first and fired their arsenal on Starscream. The smarmy Seeker simply shrugged it off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHead on!\u201d called Duros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHardhead, CENTRALIZE!\u201d Hardhead and Duros transformed, then Hardhead\u2019s head connected to his body, and he dashed towards Starscream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, that is just too precious!\u201d chuckled Starscream. He raised his hand, ready to fire the Heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once everyone regained their footing, Grimlock and Deadlock advanced on Starscream\u2019s brain. \u201cIf you destroy his brain, he\u2019ll fall!\u201d pleaded Perceptor. \u201cThe impact could detonate the Heart of Cybertron!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s our only chance!\u201d argued Grimlock. He and Deadlock raised their swords, then the brain glowed and multiple snake-like creatures with electricity surrounding them leapt out of the brain and circled the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat are they?!\u201d yelped Shahra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBrain impulses!\u201d replied Perceptor. \u201cEVIL brain impulses!\u201d The brain impulses then charged downwards through a hole in the floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Starscream fired the Heart of Cybertron right into Hardhead\u2019s chest, knocking him to the ground. Hardhead\u2019s head fell off and he transformed to vehicle mode while the head turned back into Duros. Starscream then fired on Duros. \u201cI guess today WASN\u2019T an honorable day for battle,\u201d snarked Starscream. He then saw Rhinox preparing his guns. \u201cOh no! The Chain Guns of Doom!\u201d mocked Starscream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSarcasm doesn\u2019t become you!\u201d growled Rhinox. The rhino then fired. As expected, the shots bounced off Starscream. Starscream yawned, then fired the Heart again, bringing Rhinox down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Starscream\u2019s brain impulses would not stop swarming Perceptor and his team! They nearly ripped Shahra apart! \u201cWhat are they even for?!\u201d roared Grimlock. He dared a peek down the hole, then realized they went down Starscream\u2019s neck. Perceptor then joined Grimlock and looked down the hole, then they both got the same idea!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
