On a moon orbiting a blue and green planet, there was a base. The base once housed multiple Decepticons, now it housed Eggacons, the Combaticons, Morgane, and Dr. Eggman. Eggman and Morgaine were snuggling in the command chair within the base\u2019s main command center, just enjoying each other\u2019s company. After returning from Cybertron, Eggman and Morgaine tied the knot and did everything they could to make the lives below feel like Hell. Though, the Autobot forces below were putting a damper on the Eggman Empire\u2019s plans, so they decided that a little break was needed. \u201c\u2026What should we attempt to conquer next?\u201d mused Eggman. Morgane thought it over for a few seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026You know, I\u2019ve ALWAYS wanted to see Adabat.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAh, get some old Southeast Asian ideas?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSomething along those lines.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThen that\u2019s where we\u2019ll go! Computer, inform the Combati-\u201d Onslaught then ran into the command center in a panicked state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe sky! A portal! Danger! All sorts of-!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cONSLAUGHT ROBOTNIK!\u201d snapped Eggman. Onslaught then stood to attention. \u201cMy boy, rushing in here in a panic is ill-becoming of a soldier. Now, explain to me, calmly, what\u2019s going on.\u201d Onslaught drew in a breath before explaining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA Space Bridge Portal opened near us!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWHAT?!\u201d Eggman and Morgane abandoned the seat and checked the readings. \u201cThat\u2019s almost inside our defense perimeter! Red alert! Raise shields and arm weapons!\u201d The alarms rang throughout the base, the Combaticons took their battle stations, and the Decimator<\/em>, Revenge<\/em>, and Whale Shark<\/em> left the hangars and combined into the Fatal Consequence<\/em>. The Cybertronian fleet then poured out of the Space Bridge portal before it closed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAutobots, too?!\u201d asked Brawl as he saw the Ark<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWha?\u201d asked Eggman. \u201cWhy are both sides coming out at the same time?! And what\u2019s that ship right there?!\u201d Eggman pointed to the new Decepticon Flagship. \u201cWhere\u2019s the Nemesis<\/em>?! \u2026Unless it was-\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDoc, the new vessel\u2019s hailing us,\u201d reported Swindle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cPut it through!\u201d Megatron\u2019s face then appeared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cApologies for startling you,\u201d he greeted, \u201cbut there\u2019s a matter that Optimus and I must take care of as soon as possible on Mobius.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOh no, you don\u2019t!\u201d snapped Eggman. \u201cI won\u2019t suffer Decepticons, or Predacons, or-or Vroomacons, or whatever the heck subgroups you brought! I\u2019ve had it with the Transformers and I\u2019m going to see their immediate destruction!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSounds like you and Starscream are competing for that goal.\u201d Eggman blinked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026He\u2019s trying to destroy\u2026isn\u2019t he a Transformer?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cA Transformer that predates us, according to Vector Sigma. Look, why don\u2019t we all meet with the Queen and Gaia and explain the whole thing?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026Fine, I\u2019ll entertain the story for now.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Gaia looked towards the sky as she stood outside the Autobot base. She sighed as she felt the wind blow past her. \u201cSuch life,\u201d she whispered to herself. \u201cAnd such a blend of magic and science! \u2026They may surpass\u2026hm?\u201d She then saw people shimmering into existence. She blinked as she saw them. \u201cOptimus? \u2026Megatron? \u2026Sonic? \u2026Eggman?\u201d Her eyes widened as she saw the last person. \u201cVECTOR SIGMA?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cGreetings, Half-sister Gaia,\u201d replied Vector Sigma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWait, how did you-?!\u201d Gaia then looked at Optimus and Megatron. \u201c\u2026You know your origins.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd our race\u2019s ultimate fate once one side obliterates the other,\u201d remarked Megatron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe need to talk to Aleena and inform her of the situation,\u201d urged Optimus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026T-AI, did you get all that?\u201d Gaia asked over a communicator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAleena\u2019s been informed and she\u2019s on her way,\u201d replied T-AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cExcellent. We have a story to discuss.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Aleena, Merlin, Sonic, Eggman, Morgane, Gaia, Vector Sigma, Optimus, and Megatron sat around the conference table and Vector Sigma and Gaia told them the events leading up to Primus and Unicron. \u201cSo, you can see how dangerous the situation is,\u201d said Gaia as she finished the tale. Eggman looked over his glasses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThis is all a very interesting story, but\u2026why am I listening to it?\u201d he asked. Optimus and Megatron winced as they looked at each other. Sonic decided to speak for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe instant they found out,\u201d he explained, \u201cStarscream told Tornedron to go to Cybertron. Unicron had also gotten back to his old body and munched on a planet and its people before he made his way to Cybertron.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd we have reason to believe,\u201d continued Vector Sigma, \u201cthat they will destroy any world that was touched by the Transformers\u2019 original conflict.\u201d That made Eggman worry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026What?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThey want a blank slate so they could restart the experiment anew,\u201d elaborated Gaia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAre you telling me,\u201d hissed Eggman, \u201cthat there are people out there that intend to destroy this planet and one of them knows its strengths and weaknesses?!\u201d The silence answered his question. \u201c\u2026You know, the Metarex had a spy within the Black Block Consortia! I read the intelligence reports on the off-chance I wanted to conquer the universe! Megatron cured me of that, but I still ask you this: do you have any idea what kind of response this will provoke from the Consortia and their employers, the Galactic Council?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThey\u2019ll probably want to conduct a siege-defense strategy for any vulnerable worlds,\u201d remarked Optimus. \u201cWe understand that, but any strategies like that would have to be a joint operation between us and the Consortia.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cCome on, Optimus! Even in the small amount of research I did on them, the Council and Consortia won\u2019t be interested in any joint operations! They won\u2019t believe your story about the Vok or their Goddesses or some rogue scientist that split himself into YOUR Gods! They will assume that the modern Transformers created Tornedron, and they will respond accordingly!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhat\u2019s that supposed to mean?\u201d asked Megatron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIt means that they will seize this opportunity to eliminate Cybertron and its allies and colonies! They\u2019ll send fleets to glass any worlds allied with you lot, whether they fly Autobot or Decepticon colors!\u201d At that point, Vector Sigma stood up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe will cooperate in a coordinated assault on Starscream\u2019s forces,\u201d he hissed, \u201cbut we will NOT allow our allies to suffer because of us!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOf course not,\u201d agreed Eggman. \u201cSo Cybertron and its allies will send their own fleets to protect their own, but, eventually, the two sides will meet, tensions will rise, nerves will fray, and someone on either side will make the tiniest, fatal mistake!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd a war bloodier than our own,\u201d remarked Megatron, \u201cwill erupt and destroy both sides, making it easier for Tornedron to mop up the remains.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIt\u2019s not a thought I relish, Megatron.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNeither do we,\u201d growled Optimus as he put his head on his joined-together hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThat\u2019s why we must plead our case to the Galactic Council before that conflict even starts,\u201d declared Aleena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWell, unless I mistake what Megatron told me once upon a time, the Transformers are forbidden from speaking to the Council. So, I don\u2019t see how we can prevent this war from beginning.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe have an ally and a way to make our case,\u201d explained Optimus. \u201cCosmo\u2019s mother, Earthia, has a seat on the Council. In fact, the Seedrians are one of the Founding Members of the Council. If Cosmo could persuade Earthia to co-sign an omega level request, we can speak to the Council and debate alongside them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou better hope the Council is receptive to your case,\u201d warned Eggman. \u201cBecause if they\u2019re not, then we\u2019re all finished.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI\u2019ve already told Cosmo, and she\u2019s talking to her mother. I\u2019d say we have a good chance.
