Others argued that they were natural formations. Sonic, on the other hand, just found them to be good fun. He made it to the end, spinning the sign from a younger Eggman\u2019s face to his old face when he started his hero career. He sighed as he looked back. \u201c\u2026Gonna miss you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI have a feeling you\u2019ll be running around here again,\u201d chuckled a voice. Optimus\u2019 holo-form then came up to him. \u201cPre-wedding nerves?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026I guess so.\u201d He then sat down on a rock. \u201cYou know, I\u2019ve been wondering what would happen to my usual hero business if I ever took the throne. Now I\u2019m getting married and Mom\u2019s gonna step down some point after the wedding. This is just another page in history, isn\u2019t it? Will this be the end of my old life? \u2026Turn the page.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis isn\u2019t the end, Sonic.\u201d Sonic arched an eye ridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFrom experience. When I became Prime, I thought that everything I once loved wouldn\u2019t matter anymore. Nowadays, though, I realize that they still do. They\u2019ll always matter, Sonic. It\u2019s just how you wish to proceed that determines whether or not you\u2019ll grow as a person.\u201d Sonic smiled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYeah, I guess you\u2019re right.\u201d Just then, the sound of jets entered their ears. \u201c\u2026You hear that?\u201d asked Sonic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHow could I not?\u201d replied Optimus. That was when Eggman and his newest mech arrived. It looked like a giant hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHaving your little bachelor party without me, Sonic?!\u201d cackled Eggman. \u201cI must say, I\u2019m hurt that you didn\u2019t invite me!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIs that\u2026Gigatron?!\u201d yelped Optimus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo, I just found his instruction sheets and made my own mech based off him. Sonic, Optimus and Megatron had their final battle, now it\u2019s time for ours!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou never change, do you?\u201d sighed Sonic. He then cracked his fingers and loosened up for a run. \u201cWell, I was feeling nostalgic anyways! Let\u2019s do it! Optimus, hang back, will ya? This one\u2019s mine!\u201d Optimus chuckled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAll right, I\u2019ll get out of your quills.\u201d Optimus then headed off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s just down to you and me, Sonic!\u201d challenged Eggman. \u201cNothing can save you now!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAre you done talking?\u201d retorted Sonic as he stretched. \u201cCause I\u2019m getting bored.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThen allow me and my new Egg Deviltron to alleviate your boredom!\u201d The Egg-mobile then docked with the hand and it flexed all its fingers. It then flew backwards as Sonic took off after it. The hand then tore chunks of the ground up and threw them at Sonic. Sonic spin-dashed off the chunks to get closer to the Egg Deviltron. He then spin-dashed the robot and damaged it. \u201cAll right, time for the next stage! Bat mode!\u201d The hand then turned into a giant bat. The Egg Deviltron then fired a sonic ray from its mouth. Sonic ran up along a rock wall and spin-dashed its mouth, damaging it again. \u201cRight, new tactics! Iron Mammoth mode!\u201d The Egg Deviltron turned into a four-legged beast and slammed the ground with its feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCome on, I beat tougher attacks than that!\u201d taunted Sonic. He waited until the shockwaves reached him before he jumped up. He then spin-dashed each leg, rendering the shockwave attack impossible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThen how about this?!\u201d The two were near a body of water. \u201cHydroplane mode!\u201d The beast then turned into a hydroplane and skimmed backwards along the water. Sonic kept his momentum up and ran along the surface of the water. As it fired lasers, Sonic dodged them, then ran alongside it and spin-dashed it onto land. \u201cGriffin mode!\u201d The hydroplane turned into a griffin and fired missiles from its wings. Sonic dodged them, then ran up one to spin-dash the mech again. \u201cOkay, time to dash! Ostrich mode!\u201d The Egg Deviltron transformed into an ostrich and ran fast!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCome back here!\u201d snapped Sonic as he increased his speed. Sonic could only maintain the gap between him and Eggman\u2019s new toy. If he tried to spin-dash, he\u2019d lose the momentum. Luckily, Eggman\u2019s computer changed that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAlert! Speed exceeding design tolerances!\u201d it warned. \u201cNew mode is required!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKilljoy!\u201d grunted Eggman. \u201cSingle dragon mode!\u201d The ostrich then changed into a dragon and breathed fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cUh oh!\u201d yelped Sonic. He dodged the fire blasts quickly. Eggman growled, then smiled again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, two heads are better than one, I always say! Twin dragon mode!\u201d The dragon sprouted another head and fired. Sonic then jumped between the two heads and stuck his tongue out at Eggman. Eggman then saw what Sonic was doing. \u201cNO! DON\u2019T-!\u201d The two heads then fired as Sonic got out of the way. Eggman got caught up in the smoke and coughed. \u201cJ-Jet mode!\u201d he wheezed. The dragon then turned into a jet and made a getaway. Sonic ran under it and spin-dashed the underside. \u201cOh, come on! Do you have any idea how much I spent on waxing this thing?! Car mode!\u201d The jet turned into a car and ran alongside Sonic. It fired lasers, prompting Sonic to go with some fancy footwork. He then spin-dashed each laser turret as the car changed sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCome on, you spent all that time studying Transformers!\u201d laughed Sonic. \u201cWhere\u2019s the robot mode?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, if you insist! Egg Deviltron, TRANSFORM!\u201d The car turned assumed robot mode. The head looked a lot like Eggman\u2019s, but with a crown. The Egg Deviltron fired a laser from its crown. Sonic kept dodging until he gave a few more spin-dashes to the robot\u2019s torso, where Eggman was housed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAlert! Damage too extreme! Ejecting pilot!\u201d warned the computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat?! NO!\u201d wailed Eggman. His face contorted into a snarl as he glared at his hated enemy. \u201cYou\u2026you\u2026you-you\u2026YOU HORRID LITTLE HEDGEHOG!\u201d The Egg-mobile ejected and the Egg Deviltron exploded, throwing the Egg-mobile higher into the sky. Sonic looked up and sighed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMegatron could let go of his hatred of Optimus,\u201d he muttered. \u201cI was hoping you\u2019d do the same.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Morgane picked Eggman up out of the circle she used to teleport him back to Robotropolis. \u201cHad enough?\u201d she snarked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
