It was Christmas Time and Emily Williams, the Chief Medical Officer of the Vortex Riders, was going over some last-minute decorations. Christmas was her favorite holiday as it meant she spent time with her family, especially her fellow Kamen Riders. She checked the alignment of the garland on the banister and smiled once she was satisfied. She then headed back upstairs to the kitchen and found the cookies she baked earlier. She looked around the sufficiently festive house, then wiped her brow before she took a cookie and poured herself some milk. She then dunked the cookie in the milk and happily munched on it. Just then, her doorbell rang. That surprised her, her husband and sons weren\u2019t due for another hour. She headed to the door as the doorbell was rung repeatedly. \u201cI\u2019m coming!\u201d she called. \u201cYou know, it\u2019s naughty of you to-!\u201d She opened the door to see Death holding a man up. The man was fat, wore red, and had a white beard. \u201c\u2026Santa?!\u201d she asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe\u2019s ill!\u201d said Death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGet him on the couch!\u201d ordered Emily. As Death brought Santa Claus into the house, Emily headed to her room and got her medical kit. She then checked over Santa with her tricorder (a Christmas gift from years ago). The tricorder then gave her the readings she needed. \u201c\u2026You know, if I didn\u2019t know any better,\u201d she muttered, \u201cI\u2019d swear he\u2019s got the flu.\u201d Santa groaned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSanta just collapsed in front of my office,\u201d explained Death as Emily tended to the living Christmas icon. \u201cHe was checking over his list when it suddenly went black. It then went to some form of normal, but Santa became very ill. He shouldn\u2019t get sick unless someone tried to take his power.\u201d Santa then slowly opened his eyes and took in his surroundings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWh-where am I?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou\u2019re in my house, Sir,\u201d explained Emily. \u201cI\u2019m Dr. Emily Williams.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEmily\u2026oh, yes, Kamen Rider Touch\u00e9,\u201d mumbled Santa. \u201cSorry about the unannounced visit.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI never took you as someone who got sick.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI don\u2019t, usually. However, someone took control of the List and is in the process of making me mortal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe List? You mean your naughty\/nice list?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe very same.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo, whoever controls the List makes you mortal?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a very involved process, so I still have time to-\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSorry, Sir, but you\u2019re staying put until this whole affair is over!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBut my workshop-!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019ll take care of the whole situation. I just need to make sure Joshua and our boys know what\u2019s going on.\u201d Emily then heard a knock on the door. She headed to the door to see Joshua and their sons, Tom and Sam. They were accompanied by a kindly, plump old woman in red and a humanoid reindeer with a glowing red nose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMama! Look who we found!\u201d said Sam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMrs. Claus and Rudolph, I presume?\u201d asked Emily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAh, you DO know us!\u201d sighed Mrs. Claus in relief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYour husband\u2019s laid up on my couch, Mrs. Claus,\u201d explained Emily. Everyone went inside and the boys looked worried at Santa\u2019s condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIs Santa gonna die?\u201d asked Tom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot while I\u2019m a doctor, he won\u2019t!\u201d promised Emily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI appreciate your willpower,\u201d groaned Santa, \u201cbut this isn\u2019t a flu that can be cured by medicine alone. We need to regain control of the List.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThen tell me and Josh how to get it back,\u201d declared Emily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYay! We\u2019re going to the North Pole!\u201d cheered the boys. Emily winced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cActually, Dad and I are going. It might involve a fight where you would get hurt.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBut Mama-!\u201d wailed Sam. Tom looked upset too but didn\u2019t vocalize it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRight now, I need you boys to help Aunt Death and Mrs. Claus look after Santa.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBoys, once I\u2019m well, we\u2019ll all go to the North Pole,\u201d promised Santa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Okay,\u201d mumbled Sam. \u201cReally wanted to see Mama and Dad kick the bad guy\u2019s butt though.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, I have a way,\u201d chuckled Santa. He then looked to Emily and Joshua. \u201cSougo Tokiwa\u2019s already at the North Pole\u2019s outskirts. Make sure you give him this.\u201d He handed Emily a green and red Ridewatch with a Santa-based Kamen Rider\u2019s head on the front.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026You\u2019re a Kamen Rider?!\u201d yelped Emily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI WAS a Kamen Rider,\u201d corrected Santa. \u201cI gave that up in the 2000\u2019s.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo, there\u2019s an Another Rider taking control,\u201d muttered Joshua. \u201cHiroki told us about those dingoes. Well, no point in earbashing now. Let\u2019s get going!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019ll get us there,\u201d offered Rudolph. \u201cI\u2019m a little worried about my friends and family.\u201d He opened a rift. Emily and Joshua grabbed their Vortex Drivers, and they followed the red-nosed reindeer through the portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They arrived at a snowy expanse and found Sougo with them. \u201cGood to see you again!\u201d greeted Sougo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou too, Sougo-san!\u201d returned Emily. \u201cI just wish the circumstances were more pleasant.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe better hurry!\u201d urged Rudolph. \u201cIf Santa doesn\u2019t get control of the List before Christmas Day, we\u2019re finished!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCould have said something earlier!\u201d growled Joshua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSougo, before I forget, here!\u201d Emily handed Sougo the Ridewatch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA new Ridewatch? Santa\u2019s a Kamen Rider?\u201d asked Sougo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe WAS a Kamen Rider,\u201d replied Emily. Rudolph led the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLast I heard, the List Thief was somewhere around here,\u201d he muttered. His nose\u2019s light cut through the wintery winds until they found a massive cave that looked like a beast with its mouth open. \u201cOl\u2019 Bumble\u2019s Cave,\u201d explained Rudolph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCould he be the-?\u201d asked Joshua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo, he\u2019s a really nice guy when his choppers aren\u2019t hurting him,\u201d replied Rudolph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhere is he?\u201d asked Emily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe must be inside,\u201d guessed Sougo. Everyone crept to the cave and looked inside. They all gasped at the sight. Rudolph\u2019s friends were in cages and the Bumble was chained to the wall, looking weak. In the middle of the cave was a red and white throne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cClarice!\u201d called Rudolph. The doe with a bow in her hair turned to Rudolph in surprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRudolph!\u201d she cheered. Hermey, Yukon Cornelius, and Donner and his wife looked at the cave entrance and rushed to the cage bars to see Rudolph and his backup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSon, what are you doing back?!\u201d yelped Donner. \u201cIt\u2019s not safe!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot listening to your father, huh?\u201d taunted a voice. \u201cHow very naughty!\u201d A reindeer then stepped out from behind the throne. He had blonde hair between his antlers and held an Another Ridewatch in his hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFireball?!\u201d yelped Rudolph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHello, neon-nose!\u201d growled Fireball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWait, Fireball?! Your old friend?!\u201d yelped Emily. \u201cThe one who hesitated in stopping Comet from banning Rudolph from the Reindeer Games?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI will admit, the thought HAD crossed my mind,\u201d replied Fireball, \u201cbut after that Christmas, I realized I was right in not speaking up!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAre you the one who stole the List from Santa?!\u201d demanded Joshua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI am,\u201d answered Fireball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDo you have any idea how naughty that is?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI control the List now! I decide naughty and nice! And in my eyes, you are ALL naughty! Sougo Tokiwa! You conquered your world and turned it into a barren wasteland as Oma Zi-O!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat was a different Sougo!\u201d protested Sougo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEmily Williams! You blindly followed a moody thrill-seeker on three different adventures, not once sticking to your feminist ideals! Your taking Joshua\u2019s family name is proof of that!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cActually, I CHOSE not to keep my maiden-name!\u201d snarled Emily. \u201cThat IS part of Feminism, for a woman to choose what SHE wants with no obstacles, like men do.\u201d Fireball didn\u2019t listen as he continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cJoshua Williams! \u2026Wow, I\u2026I don\u2019t know where to start with you, there\u2019s not enough time in the day! But how about we start with you being inducted into a corrupt clergy!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOi, rack off!\u201d snarled Joshua. \u201cI\u2019m cleaning up the clergy!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s why I marked your father as nice when I was in charge of the List,\u201d Santa explained to Tom and Sam as everyone watched the confrontation on the TV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHow are we able to see this?\u201d asked Tom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cShould we really question Christmas magic right now?\u201d asked Sam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Fair enough.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd then there\u2019s YOU! Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer!\u201d Fireball went on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI had a feeling I was involved somehow,\u201d grunted Rudolph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, it involves both you AND Santa! You were banned from the Reindeer Games, yet Santa picked you to lead the Sleigh Team! I was the best athlete and the most trained, yet he picked a wash-out like you and you blindly accepted because you found a use for that accident you call a nose!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYOU INSULTED MY SON FOR THE LAST TIME!\u201d shouted Donner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPa, stay back!\u201d called Rudolph. \u201cThis bitter stag is mine!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWait, where do our children fit into this?\u201d asked Emily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, that part I didn\u2019t change,\u201d replied Fireball. \u201cYour boys are still marked as nice! If you get out of this, tell them that the new Santa wishes them a Merry Christmas.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026I\u2019ll get right on that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBut, as for the rest of you, the only present I have is-!\u201d Rudolph heard enough. He charged at Fireball and locked horns with his former friend, quite literally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGet everyone out of here!\u201d Rudolph called to his allies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWill do!\u201d replied Emily. She and her friends then got to work freeing everyone and getting them out of the cave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWait, we need to get Rudolph out!\u201d called Clarice. Rudolph was then flung out of the cave and ended up headfirst in a snowbank. Clarice got him out, then Fireball stepped out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat clinches it! You\u2019re all finished!\u201d He pressed the button on the Another Ridewatch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKRINGLE!\u201d it announced in a wicked voice. He then put the Ridewatch to his shoulder and he was surrounded by torn paper. \u201cKRINGLE!\u201d repeated the Ridewatch as it sunk into his skin and made a monstrous form for him. Fireball was now Another Kringle, based on Santa\u2019s Kamen Rider persona of Kamen Rider Kringle. He had the red and white outfit, but he looked more like Krampus and the belt looked like it had a bare tree on the buckle. Emily, Joshua, and Sougo then put their own belts on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cVortex Driver!\u201d announced Emily and Joshua\u2019s belts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cZiku Driver!\u201d called Sougo\u2019s belt. Sougo then pulled out his personal Ridewatch, rotated the face, and pressed the button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cZi-O!\u201d called the Ridewatch. He then put it into the Driver\u2019s right-hand slot, then pressed a button on top of the belt, making the right side dip down. Emily and Joshua then inserted their personal i.d. tags into their Vortex Drivers. The three Riders then struck their poses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHENSHIN!\u201d they called. Emily and Joshua then spun the wheels on their belts as Sougo rotated the whole belt assembly. The Ziku Driver stopped spinning once it returned to its original position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRider Time! Kamen Rider Zi-O!\u201d it announced as he became Kamen Rider Zi-O. Emily and Joshua\u2019s belts summoned a wheel beneath them and the wheels fastened their armor onto them while the belts turned their clothes into undersuits. Emily was Kamen Rider Touch\u00e9 and Joshua became Kamen Rider Outback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKamen Rider Outback! Better watch your back, mate!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKamen Rider Touch\u00e9! En Garde, thing of evil!\u201d Rudolph and the Kamen Riders then rushed at Another Kringle, surrounding him. Another Kringle then brought out his multi-limbed switch and swung hard, knocking everyone to the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYour naughtiness will be punished!\u201d roared Another Kringle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis isn\u2019t working! The List is making him too powerful!\u201d grunted Rudolph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHow can one get control of that thing anyway?!\u201d asked Touch\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe had to erase Santa\u2019s name, his REAL name, and replace it with his own.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Who\u2019s got the best penmanship?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s Clarice. Wait, you\u2019re not suggesting-?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIf we don\u2019t, Christmas will be cancelled!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026You\u2019re right. Clarice! Do you know where the List is?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s still in the cave!\u201d replied Clarice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGo in there and erase Fireball\u2019s name! Replace it with Santa\u2019s real name!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWill do!\u201d Clarice dashed into the cave as Rudolph and the Riders fought Another Kringle. Another Kringle then launched a fireball from between his antlers at Touch\u00e9. She was hit and Outback dashed to her, then Another Kringle struck Outback\u2019s backside with his switch. Zi-O then pulled out the new Ridewatch, rotated it to reveal the head of a Santa themed Kamen Rider, and pressed the button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKringle!\u201d it announced. He put the Ridewatch into the left side of the Ziku Driver, pressed the button on top, and spun it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRider Time!\u201d called the Driver. \u201cKamen Rider Zi-O! Armor Time!\u201d New Santa themed armor attached itself to him. \u201cHo ho ho! Kringle!\u201d sang the Driver. Zi-O then slammed his fist into Another Kringle\u2019s chest, only for him to squawk in pain and clutch his fist. Another Kringle then slammed his own fist into Zi-O\u2019s head. Rudolph flung snow up to try and cover his attack, but Another Kringle sensed it coming easily. He slammed his foot into Rudolph\u2019s side and sent him sprawling on the snow. Another Kringle looked around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPathetic!\u201d he grunted. \u201cWhy the fat man put his hopes on you is beyond me! The game is over! God rest ye, dead idiots!\u201d Another fireball then grew between his antlers\u2026then it fizzled. He then cried out in pain and collapsed to the ground. A rift then opened, and Santa, Mrs. Claus, Death, Tom, and Sam popped out. Santa looked a lot healthier in the face. \u201cWHAT?!\u201d cried Another Kringle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cClarice did it!\u201d cheered Touch\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFireball, what you did was beyond naughty!\u201d thundered Santa. \u201cIt was flat out vile! You\u2019re looking at a life sentence for this!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYOU OVERSIZED FRUITCAKE!\u201d roared Another Kringle. Santa then pulled out a belt with a Christmas tree pointing to the wearer\u2019s right. He fastened it on, then struck a pose. Death fastened her Mort Driver and struck her own pose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHENSHIN!\u201d said the two. Death rotated the skull on her belt and black mist formed her armor as Kamen Rider Death. Santa moved the tree upright and red and white ribbons surrounded him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHo ho ho! Merry Christmas!\u201d called the belt. The ribbons then became armor based on his usual appearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKamen Rider Kringle!\u201d boomed Santa. \u201cYour naughtiness will be stamped out!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKamen Rider Death!\u201d announced Death. \u201cYou cannot delay your appointment with me!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRound two, everyone!\u201d called Touch\u00e9. The fighters attacked, causing damage this time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRider Kicks, everyone!\u201d directed Kringle. He moved the tree down then brought it back up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNight before Christmas!\u201d announced the belt. Touch\u00e9 and Outback spun their belts\u2019 wheels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFinal Attack!\u201d Zi-O pressed the buttons on the Ridewatches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFinish Time! Kringle!\u201d He then spun the Driver. \u201cNight before Time Break!\u201d Death spun the skull on her belt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cReaper man!\u201d it called. Everyone then leapt into the air and flew towards Another Kringle with their feet outstretched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRIDER YULE KICK!\u201d cheered Touch\u00e9. The kicks struck true and they landed behind the spasming Another Kringle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s your last present\u2026from me!\u201d declared Kringle. Another Kringle exploded, flinging the now wounded Fireball to the snow and breaking the Another Ridewatch. Rudolph looked to Fireball with pity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe could have restarted our friendship, Fireball,\u201d he muttered. \u201cAll this just because of the Sleigh Team?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s all that\u2019s important for a buck!\u201d snarled Fireball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYour uncle would beg to differ.\u201d Rudolph then sighed as he brought out handcuffs. \u201cFireball of the House of Vixen, you\u2019re under arrest for the attempted assassination of Santa Claus.\u201d He slapped the cuffs on and led Fireball to jail while reading him his rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The workshop was restored to order and all the elves were working double-time to complete the orders around the world. The sleigh still wasn\u2019t sky-worthy yet, but Santa still had two more days. \u201cI\u2019m sorry I can\u2019t give you all a sleigh ride back home,\u201d he said to his saviors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s all right,\u201d replied Sam. \u201cI\u2019m actually terrified of heights. Getting on a plane just gives me the willies!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, Dr. Williams, I\u2019m a grateful man! I simply must reward you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m a doctor, I don\u2019t do things just to get something else,\u201d remarked Emily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI must insist!\u201d urged Santa. \u201cYou\u2019ll find something for you under the tree. You and all of your family and friends.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThank you very much, Santa. I\u2019m glad I could help.\u201d A rift then opened for everyone. \u201cGoodbye! Merry Christmas!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMerry Christmas!\u201d supplied her family, Sougo, and Death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMerry Christmas!\u201d replied Santa. \u201cHo ho ho!\u201d Everyone then headed into the rift. Once they left the other side, they saw that they were back in their living room. The rift shut behind them. Tom and Sam then yawned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSomeone\u2019s tired,\u201d mused Joshua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI don\u2019t even have the energy to be naughty and lie about that,\u201d mumbled Sam. \u201cI\u2019m ready to go to bed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m gonna do the same,\u201d yawned Tom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAll right, let\u2019s brush our teeth and get ready for bed,\u201d called Joshua. He and the boys headed to the bathroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI better get home,\u201d remarked Sougo. \u201cIt was nice to see Santa though. I\u2019m surprised I got on the nice list.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLike you said, Oma Zi-O was someone else,\u201d replied Death. \u201cI\u2019ll take you home, Sougo-san.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cArigatou!\u201d Sougo and Death then headed to the door. \u201cMerry Christmas, Emily-san!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMerry Christmas, Sougo-san!\u201d replied Emily. Sougo and Death then left, leaving Emily to look around the house before she sang to herself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
