It was late during the night after she got ready for bed that her mind raced about her non royal lovers. Falnii, Lardeth, and Foresna left the bathroom in their nightwear and spotted Arsha. \u201c\u2026Foxy?\u201d asked Lardeth. Arsha snapped out of her thoughts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYes?\u201d she asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cArsha, you got that look again,\u201d remarked Foresna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026That look?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe look you get when you have something on your mind,\u201d explained Falnii. Arsha sighed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI need to ask you all something,\u201d she explained. \u201cNot just you three, but Malnar and Gorfanth too.\u201d She headed over to the comms. \u201cBridge, get me the Belsnath Citadel, preferably the Under-Queen herself.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWill do,\u201d answered the night Communications Officer. She had to wait a few minutes before a response came through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026llo?\u201d mumbled Malnar\u2019s voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHey, Bonfire,\u201d said Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cFoxy!\u201d cheered Malnar, waking up almost instantly. It then sounded like she shouted away from the comms. \u201cHey! Hooves! Get over here! Arsha\u2019s calling!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cArsha?!\u201d called Gorfanth\u2019s distant voice. His hooves could be heard getting closer. \u201cHey! Foxy!\u201d he said when he was near the comms. \u201cHow are things?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cGorfanth, Foresna, Falnii,\u201d said Arsha, \u201cI need to ask you three something. Do you feel overshadowed?\u201d Though she couldn\u2019t see Malnar and Gorfanth\u2019s faces, she could tell that everyone was goggling at her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhat brought this on?\u201d asked Gorfanth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI think I can provide the context,\u201d remarked Falnii. \u201cThe four of us attended a masquerade ball with a bit of a play in the middle of it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWait, even Foresna?!\u201d chuckled Malnar. \u201cWas this the Fae\u2019s Adventure Masquerade? He must have spent the whole night complaining how he couldn\u2019t find you three!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cActually, I found them right off the bat,\u201d replied Foresna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI was the hero fighting against two villains,\u201d continued Falnii, \u201cand Keshnakh mentioned that Foresna, Gorfanth, and I weren\u2019t as talked about as you, Arsha, and Lardeth.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSo, I need to know, do you feel like the three of us are overshadowing you?\u201d asked Arsha. \u201cI mean, you fought as hard as us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cArsha, we\u2019re remembered where it matters,\u201d replied Falnii.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOur friends, you, Lardeth, Malnar, our families, our homes,\u201d said Foresna, \u201cyou\u2019ve been singing our praises.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAnd our immediate social circles are making sure,\u201d continued Gorfanth, \u201cthat we\u2019re immortalized in some fashion, and it doesn\u2019t need to be as grand as yours. I mean, the most extravagant immortalization I got was my portrait. \u2026Speaking of which, you should be getting a print of it and Malnar\u2019s portrait, as well as closeups of us soon.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cArsha, we care that you, Lardeth, and Malnar care about us, not a few high class mucky-mucks,\u201d assured Foresna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe still want to spend the rest of our lives with you three,\u201d said Falnii. Arsha smiled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThanks, you guys,\u201d she said. \u201cI guess that part of me hasn\u2019t changed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNor would we want it to,\u201d replied Malnar. \u201cThat\u2019s one of the reasons we all love you.\u201d The conversation then went to more pleasant topics as everyone decided to update one another on what was going on. It lasted a good hour before they all had to go to bed. Once the call ended, Arsha went to sleep feeling much better about all her lovers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A few days later, Arsha and Lardeth were asked to join Galnyar in seeing Rellmeer and her harem off. They were on a thick branch that was connected to another in a fashion that seemed familiar to Arsha, but she couldn\u2019t place it. \u201cIt\u2019s gonna be weird not calling you an Empress,\u201d Arsha muttered to Rellmeer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m sure you can adapt to it,\u201d assured Rellmeer. \u201cI must thank you for joining me in seeing me off.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s our pleasure, Lady Rellmeer,\u201d replied Lardeth. \u201cI wish you and your girls well in your retirement and-\u201d His wishes were interrupted by a noise. \u201c\u2026Arsha, do you\u2026?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI think I do,\u201d replied Arsha. \u201cWhat is that? An engine puffing?\u201d A whistle then blew. \u201cThat\u2019s an engines whistle!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhere is it\u2026over there!\u201d Lardeth pointed at the branch connected to theirs. A steam engine Mechanica man was coming! It looked proportional to a Standard Gauge one!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cA train?!\u201d yelped Arsha. \u201cWhen did you guys make a train?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAbout a month ago,\u201d explained Rellmeer. \u201cWhen I was running the Republic, I had commissioned a train to be built for my family. Right now, the only line built runs from the Capital Tree to my private palace.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAnd after the ball,\u201d continued Galnyar, \u201cI proposed that we create our own railways. Right now, we have one gauge of train, Fae Standard, but we\u2019ve got two smaller gauges and two larger ones being planned, ready to connect all areas of the Drelda Forest. That\u2019s the other reason why Realmfleet\u2019s here.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe need the techniques and training to construct our railways,\u201d Felfar went on. \u201cStations, rolling stock, engines, giving some of said engines life, rail lines, we need to learn. I understand you\u2019re quite the railfan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOh, I am, indeed!\u201d replied Arsha. \u201cAnd if there\u2019s anything I don\u2019t know, I know who to ask!\u201d The new Fae Standard engine then stopped in front of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cReady to go, Lady Rellmeer?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI am, indeed,\u201d replied Rellmeer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe\u2019ll help with the bags,\u201d offered Lardeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere\u2019s a lot,\u201d warned Felfar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe can handle it!\u201d assured Arsha. The conductor and porter stepped out of the coaches and attended to the bags with Arsha, Galnyar, and Lardeth helping them. As the engine went around to the other end of his train, Rellmeer and her harem boarded the coaches with Rellmeer and Felfar sitting next to one another at the coach behind the engine. The porters went back inside the coaches and the conductor blew his whistle and waved his flag. The engine blew his whistle and the train set off with Rellmeer and her harem waving goodbye to Arsha, Lardeth, and Galnyar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI can see why you\u2019re a railfan,\u201d chuckled Galnyar once everyone stopped waving. \u201cThere\u2019s a certain magic about them, one that can\u2019t be fully accessed unless you see one for yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOr ride one,\u201d chuckled Arsha. \u201cNow, whatever help you need, I\u2019m your gal!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI knew I could count on your help!\u201d said Galnyar. \u201cIt\u2019s time to bring the Fae Republic into a new era of transportation!\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As she worked aboard the Endeavor, Arsha kept thinking about what Keshnakh said.
