After a few days, businesses and farms across the forest saw an uptick in their profits. Because of that, Realmfleet assistance was now lessened. Malnar and Gorfanth returned to their private ship and left the forest with the <em>Endeavor<\/em>. Arsha and Malnar stayed in communication with each other as both were asked to go to Wysper City. \u201cYou think Lardeth picked a coronation date?\u201d asked Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhy else would we head there?\u201d replied Malnar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWell, it IS his birthday tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYeah, but\u2026\u201d Malnar trailed off as her eyes went wide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2026YOU FORGOT?!\u201d wailed Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI WAS BUSY BEING QUEEN!\u201d argued Malnar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIT\u2019S LITERALLY THE BIGGEST SOCIAL EVENT OF EVERY FELOMPHA\u2019S LIFE!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWell, did YOU get him something?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYeah, actually! So did Gorfanth, Falnii, and Foresna! Malnar, I can\u2019t believe it!\u201d She then drew in a breath. \u201cOkay, when we land, we\u2019re gonna have to spend the whole day looking for something to give him!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Back at the castle, things were in a hectic plight. Lardeth\u2019s sisters were trying to get everything set up for the party the next day. The twins, Welmaf and Eemaf, looked like they were gonna tear their hair out if their hair wasn\u2019t made of clouds. \u201cThis is ridiculous!\u201d wailed Welmaf. \u201cWe gotta get a birthday party AND a coronation going!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhy Lardeth and our parents picked THIS week,\u201d grumbled Eemaf, \u201cI\u2019ll never understand. The kitchen staff are being rushed off their legs, the maids are gonna be sick after being around their cleaning supplies for so long, and the butlers are gonna lose their voice announcing the guests\u2019 arrivals!\u201d A butler then ran up to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYour Highnesses, good news!\u201d he cheered. \u201cThe cake is complete!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOh, thank the Heights!\u201d sighed Welmaf. She turned to Eemaf. \u201cThat cake\u2019s gonna be the talk of the city! 306 layers and all of them a marbled cake!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOh dear,\u201d gulped the butler as the head baker wheeled the cake in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhat\u2019s with the \u2018oh dear\u2019?\u201d asked Welmaf in a warning tone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHere we are, Your Highness!\u201d called the head baker. \u201cA marbled cake with 306 candles!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI said His Highness\u2019s cake needs to have 306 LAYERS, not candles!\u201d snapped the butler. \u201cThat looks more like a confectionary porcupine!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou call it what you like, I call it a fire hazard,\u201d snarked Eemaf. \u201cYou said the cake IS marbled, yes?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s right,\u201d said the head baker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWell, you\u2019ve got one layer already,\u201d said Welmaf. \u201cGo tell the kitchens to make 305 more layers.\u201d The head baker wheeled off and brought the mistake cake with him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s no WAY the cake will be assembled in time!\u201d complained Eemaf. Just then, A Zephyr man (the Royal Troubadour) entered the room. \u201cSir, did you finish Lardeth\u2019s birthday song?\u201d The Troubadour strummed his lute before he answered in song.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>I have cogitated<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Correlated<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Syncopated<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>And related<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Orchestrated<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>And created<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Songs to please your brother!<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2026Does that mean you finished?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>I have finished<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLet\u2019s hear it.\u201d The Troubadour strummed again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>It\u2019s Prince Lardeth\u2019s date of birth<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Let bells ring out the news!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>We\u2019ll celebrate with joy and mirth<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>And a party I suppoose!<\/em>\u201d Eemaf grabbed his shoulder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhat was that last word?\u201d she hissed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>Suppoose, Your Grace<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOUT!\u201d The Troubadour fled the room, breezing past Lardeth as he came in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGrief!\u201d gulped Lardeth. \u201cOur parents leave the castle for one minute and you girls feel rushed!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOh, ha HA!\u201d snarled Welmaf. \u201cYou know, it ain\u2019t exactly easy planning a birthday party and a coronation at the same time! Some of the potential guests still haven\u2019t replied!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSpeaking of potential guests, where are your lovers?\u201d asked Eemaf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re looking around the city,\u201d replied Lardeth. \u201cIf I had to hazard a guess, last-minute gift shopping. Perfect for me as I\u2019m heading to South Beach for my Royal Portrait. I already got my dress all planned. Once that\u2019s all done and Arsha and the others are finished with their errands, we\u2019re just gonna tool around the entertainment district. Maybe some mini golf, the arcades, go see a play, something like that.\u201d The twins sighed in relief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAll right, that\u2019ll give us some breathing-\u201d Welmaf was interrupted by a maid rushing up to them with a letter in her hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYour Highness!\u201d she called to Lardeth. \u201cYour Highness, a letter came for you!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWho\u2019s it from?\u201d asked Lardeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFrom Lord Alomela Temnobal.\u201d Lardeth\u2019s face darkened at that name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs in my creepily possessive actor ex-boyfriend?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m afraid so,\u201d said the maid. Lardeth took the letter from her hand and opened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2018Dear Sweet Lardy,\u2019\u201d Lardeth read aloud, \u201c\u2018it has come to my attention that I have yet to receive an invitation to your upcoming birthday party and coronation. This is an understandable oversight as the mail delivery and your staff are saturated with-\u2019\u201d He didn\u2019t even finish the insult as he just turned it to ash. The maid swept it up quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ll put this in the ice melt mixture, shall I?\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPlease do,\u201d replied Lardeth. The Troubadour came back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>My Lord, a singing message has made<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Its way to the castle gates!<\/em>\u201d he sang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAnd it\u2019s from?\u201d asked Lardeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>From Lord Alomela Temnobal<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The one you won\u2019t invite to your ball.<\/em>\u201d Lardeth\u2019s face darkened again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAny insults towards you lot?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>The foulest<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThen don\u2019t waste your singing talents on that. I don\u2019t wanna hear it!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>Very wise, Your Grace<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLardeth! A broom rider making a smoke message!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2018I eagerly await your embrace, Lardy-pie\u2019,\u201d grunted Lardeth as he read the message aloud. He then fired a cloud dispelling charm, making the message vanish. \u201cHe can wait for all time and he won\u2019t be in my embrace again! That insulting jackass isn\u2019t allowed anywhere near the castle and that&#8217;s that! He&#8217;s not invited! In fact, I&#8217;m gonna make it plain to him! Ms. Lanya!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYes, Your Highness?\u201d asked the maid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTell the Royal Painter I\u2019m gonna be a few minutes late! I\u2019ve got a letter to write!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cVery good, My Lord.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Lord Temnobal, a slender Zephyr man, was preening himself in his jewel-encrusted room. He twirled as he looked in the mirror, then shook his head. \u201cNo, a tutu-style dress just ain\u2019t doing it,\u201d he muttered. His clouds then shifted into another shape, a mermaid-style dress. \u201c\u2026I suppose that works, but with this hair?\u201d He then ran his hands through the clouds that made up his hair, occasionally forming smaller ones and placing them in his hair. \u201c\u2026I think I got the general shape, but-\u201d someone then knocked on each corner of his door. \u201cMy solitary palace is ready for visitors!\u201d he replied. A plump Zephyr woman, his agent, then came into the room. \u201cAH! My darling and wonderful agent! What news?! Tell me, is there a stage that requires my presence?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cActually, my news is bad,\u201d answered his agent as she pulled out a letter. \u201cA letter came for you and-\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDarling, carrying letters is for my staff, not a lady of good-repute like you!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWell, it\u2019s from Lardeth and, given the exposed cold greeting, I thought you would want to take care of it at once.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMy beloved Lardy-cake?!\u201d He took the letter and saw the cold greeting. \u201c\u2026That\u2019s definitely his handwriting, but just \u2018To Lord Temnobal\u2019? My dear agent, you\u2019re right, that IS cold.\u201d He opened the letter and read the rest of it aloud. \u201cYou have written forty-two letters, made three singing messages, and sent a broom rider to harass my castle.\u2019 Harass? \u2018My family, the staff you insulted, and I have gotten your message, so I\u2019ve taken the liberty of writing you an order to\u2026\u2019\u201d Lord Temnobal goggled at the end of the sentence, \u201c\u2018to STOP?!\u2019 What?! \u2018I gave my castle\u2019s staff permission to open any and all mail from you and give me a quick summary of your messages before burning them.\u2019 BURNING THEM?! \u2018Your last few were way too threatening.\u2019 Okay, I MAY have been a bit harsh. \u2018You said you\u2019d vandalize the castle, burn the countryside, poison the rivers, and turn everyone purple.\u2019 Lardy-love, you know I never mean that. \u2018In the short time I\u2019ve known you, you have proven to never mean such threats, so you certainly don\u2019t mean these ones.\u2019 I DID TOO! \u2018Whether or not you did is unimportant. No invitations were sent out to you as you\u2019re NOT invited. You have insulted my parents, my staff, and my future spouses. You are too possessive and you are a coward who hides behind his makeup. If I catch you at my party, you WILL lose your financial status and I will see to it that you never act again, you oversized, lily-livered ham. Lardeth Felompha, Crown-prince of the Over-realm.\u2019 OF ALL THE NERVE!\u201d Lord Temnobal punched a hole in the wall in rage. \u201cAll right, Lardeth! You wanna play hardball?!
