Shadow is the result of Project: Shadow, a science project where the goal was to create the Ultimate Life Form. He was originally made to research ways to cure Professor Gerald Robotnik’s granddaughter, Maria. Professor Gerald had to make a deal with an alien named Black Doom, leader of the Black Arms, in order to make him genetically stable. The government percieved him to be a threat and stormed the Space Colony ARK to shut it down and destroy all research. Shadow and Maria headed to the escape pods, but Maria was shot in the back as she launched Shadow’s pod. He was put into stasis and that horrible memory played forever in his mind. When Professor Gerald’s grandson, Dr. Eggman, woke him up 50 years later, Shadow joined him in arming the ARK’s Eclipse Cannon to destory Mobius. Sonic and his friends then made him remember the promise he made to Maria 50 years ago. Shadow and Sonic then halted the Eclipse Cannon and Shadow fell to Mobius. He survived and Rouge found him with amnesia. Black Doom then attacked and filled in the gaps in Shadow’s memory. That proved to be Black Doom’s error as Shadow took him down and destroyed the Black Arms. He then went on to join G.U.N and form Team Dark with Rouge and E-123 Omega. He was one of the first people alerted to Optimus’ team in Mobius’ atmosphere. He then proceeded to help the Autobots with the resources at his disposal. During the adventures, Maria came back in a form similar to his and they pursued a romantic relationship. After the second Autobot\/Decepticon war ended, he became the new Commander of G.U.N and married Maria. He was knighted for his service when Sonic took the throne. They had a daughter together and currently live on the Space Colony ARK in orbit over Mobius. His hobbies include sparring with his daughter, being near Maria, and reading. Sonic always insists that brooding is one of his hobbies, but says that only to wind the edgy-hedgie up. Hopefully, being the Ultimate Life Form will keep the Author at bay.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
