She came down to breakfast and saw Hejema cooking. \u201cGood morning!\u201d she called.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cGood morning, Your Majesty,\u201d replied Hejema. \u201cYou\u2019re looking happy today.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m FEELING happy today!\u201d Wilson then came into the room. \u201cGood morning, Wilson!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMorning!\u201d answered Wilson. \u201cFeeling better?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMuch!\u201d Emma was the last to enter the room. \u201cGood morning, Emma!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAnd good morning to you, Falnii!\u201d said Emma. \u201cSleep well?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSlept like a log! I feel like I can take on the world!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWell, we\u2019ve only got our jobs to take on today,\u201d remarked Hejema as she served breakfast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cA pity, but I\u2019m sure we can do them easily!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After breakfast, everyone arrived at the sheds. The Small Controller wasn\u2019t there yet. \u201cWhere is he?\u201d muttered Wilson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s not like him to be late,\u201d replied Mike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNo, it usually isn\u2019t,\u201d came the Small Controller\u2019s voice. He was running to the sheds and carrying a newspaper. \u201cI do apologize for my lateness, but after seeing the headline, I had to share it with everyone.\u201d He opened up the newspaper and displayed the headline. It read \u201cArlesdale Railway Delivers Victory!\u201d \u201cThe article,\u201d continued the Small Controller, \u201ctalks about what happened yesterday and how we\u2019re joining the efforts to end a conspiracy against this island! We\u2019ve been called heroes! I\u2019m proud of you all! Not only will this spark a tourist boom, but it also sparked a goods traffic boom! Everyone is learning how Really Useful we are! There will be plenty to do during the tourist season!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cGreat, maybe passenger trains might prove a challenge,\u201d mused Mike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOh, come on, Mike!\u201d protested Wilson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cGiven the projected uptick in passengers, I\u2019d say yes, Mike, it might prove to test your strength,\u201d chuckled the Small Controller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYOU\u2019RE STROKING HIS-! I give up!\u201d grunted Wilson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNow, this DOES mean that our new staff members have proven themselves, so I am giving them the week off after that Yulduk business. Your regular crews will be in charge.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cVery well, Sir,\u201d replied Falnii. \u201cTo be frank, I\u2019m eager to see how well Yulduk\u2019s handling life inside a cell.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBefore you go, would you mind picking up your paychecks?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWill do, Sir.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After Falnii collected the paychecks, she teleported herself and her teammates to the ships. \u201cSo, how was life on the Arlesdale Railway?\u201d asked Richard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBarring Yulduk\u2019s shenanigans,\u201d replied Hejema, \u201cquite pleasant.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSpeaking of which, he\u2019s been trying to break out of the <em>Glanthelantir<\/em>\u2019s brig.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019ll chat with him,\u201d said Falnii. \u201cHow about our two mystery Lords?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe have medical scans and determined what at least one of them was. The lady was an Elf, but there\u2019s nothing in the medical database about her type of Elf. I\u2019m thinking of speaking with them both after I talked to Boulton.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Falnii made her way to Yulduk\u2019s cell. Yulduk was throwing himself against the energy field locking him in. \u201cHow long has-?\u201d she asked Glanthel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSince he was put in there, Your Majesty,\u201d replied Glanthel. Falnii rolled her eyes before speaking to Yulduk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou know, they say the definition of insanity is repeating an action while hoping to get a different result.\u201d Yulduk stopped to catch his breath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m undead!\u201d he hissed. \u201cThis field will only be deadly to a living person!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s been modified for Revenants too, Yulduk. We had to make the modifications in case modern Revenants went as crazy and as criminal as you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026How are there Revenants now? The spell can\u2019t work without Oyed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Divine Mana that you guys drained spread throughout the Realms. The spell only needs to draw from that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI see. I must admit, I thought you a shrinking violet during the Final War. When you killed me, then stared me down when you saw me again, you proved me wrong. Then your plan succeeded, and you became the first one to put me behind bars where others had failed. For that, you have my respect.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m flattered.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou should be. When one earns my respect, that means I don\u2019t rest. I devote all my energy, everything I have\u2026TO KILLING THEM!\u201d Yulduk punched the wall for emphasis, then he sat down on the bunk. \u201cI don\u2019t care what your social status is, \u2018Your Majesty\u2019. You\u2019re dying just the same.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe all have to die at some point, but my death is not today.\u201d Falnii then left the brig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Richard was in a different section of the brig, where Boulton and the two mystery Lords sat. Boulton was looking at the floor as he sat on his bunk. \u201cHow are you holding up?\u201d Richard asked Boulton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019ll live,\u201d replied Boulton. \u201cFunny, I always dreamed of seeing you and your family again. \u2026Never thought it\u2019d be like this.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNeither did I. It\u2019s good to see you again, in any case. I\u2019m glad you\u2019re fighting for right again.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI thought I was when Khan said that you were dead. I was hoping to see a multiverse where you died after me. I guess you just moved to another universe so you\u2019d be among fellow immortals.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere\u2019s a place for you in Beyond City if you want to atone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026I\u2019ll leave that to the judges. I betrayed the USA and those close to me. Whatever happens, I deserve it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou still have allies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019d be surprised if that were true.\u201d Boulton sat back down and hung his head in shame. Richard sighed before turning to the next cell with the Elder Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cGood morning,\u201d he said. The Elder Lord looked at him curiously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhat do you mean by it?\u201d he asked. \u201cDo you wish me a good morning, or mean that it is a good morning whether I want it or not; or that you feel good this morning; or that it is a morning to be good on?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026I swear I heard that before. In any case, it\u2019s all of them at once. I\u2019d offer you a pipe of tobacco, but I don\u2019t smoke. At the moment, we have no hurry. \u2026At least not until another disaster strikes this island.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThen you are in the middle of an adventure?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYep. This is one fragment of a greater crisis. One that YOU guys and your boss started. Good morning.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhat a lot of things you use \u2018Good morning\u2019 for!\u201d chuckled the Lord. \u201cNow you wish to no longer see me and that it won\u2019t be good until I\u2019m out of your sight! To think that I should be good-morninged by Michael Archer\u2019s best friend and the inheritor of the Shift Keystone as if I were a common criminal!\u201d Richard goggled at that statement. The Lords, to his knowledge, didn\u2019t know either of those things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026I\u2019m sorry, do I know you?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou know my name, though all this Lord garb has made you forget that I belong to it. I am Gandalf! And Gandalf means\u2026me!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026Gandalf? \u2026GANDALF?!\u201d Richard turned to the brig guard, a female Orc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026Lie detectors are silent,\u201d she replied. \u201cHe IS this\u2026Gandalf person.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThen the Elf lady with you is-?!\u201d Richard looked to the female Elf Lord. She smiled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI am,\u201d she said in an ethereal voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026Lady Galadriel,\u201d whispered Richard as he knelt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPlease, rise, hero of the multiverse,\u201d said Galadriel. Richard rose, then his face became one of confusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWait, how did the Lords get to Aman in the first place?\u201d he asked. \u201cI mean, you two went to the Undying Lands with the remaining Ring-bearers and the rest of the Elves. Eru Il\u00favatar should have stopped them from coming anywhere near Aman.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThat is Khan\u2019s doing,\u201d replied Galadriel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe sought out the ones closest to the F.N.S and warped us into what you see now,\u201d continued Gandalf. \u201cLuckily, Batman helped us block out the rest of the Lord Collective.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWell, we better get all that stuff off of you two,\u201d said Richard. \u201cWe can\u2019t keep you wired in forever.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSir, you\u2019re gonna have trouble with that,\u201d remarked the Orc guard. \u201cI can\u2019t lower the energy fields on just their cells, I have to open all of them in both this block and the other one. Yulduk\u2019s still in the other one.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAnd I ain\u2019t leaving this cell until this whole Sodor mess is over,\u201d called Boulton after he overheard everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026You\u2019re sure?\u201d asked Richard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPositive. I\u2019m sorry, Richard.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s all right. I understand.\u201d Richard then fastened a gauntlet onto his hand. It was a Keystone Gauntlet like Megumi\u2019s, but the symbol was different. It was an upside-down triangle with a different colored circle on each vertex, cyan, yellow, and magenta, with arrows pointing to them, one going from cyan to yellow, the next going from yellow to magenta, and the last from magenta to cyan. \u201cLet\u2019s see if I remember how Batman used this thing. Shift Keystone, activate! Cyan, by the door leading out to the hallway! Yellow, by the guard\u2019s console! Magenta, on the ceiling above the guard!\u201d The guard then got away from her console as portals of the colors on the Keystone appeared where Richard wanted them. \u201cShift! Gandalf! Yellow! Shift! Galadriel! Magenta!\u201d Copies of the yellow and magenta portals appeared beneath Gandalf and Galadriel and they were sucked into them. They then tumbled out of the ones Richard had already placed. Gandalf quickly caught Galadriel, then set her down. Richard chuckled. \u201cMan, your shippers would have-!\u201d The Elf woman and Wizard then loomed over Richard. \u201c\u2026Right, not funny,\u201d he gulped. \u201cEr, how about I show you to the med-bay so you can get all that stuff off?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThat sounds splendid,\u201d grunted Gandalf. Richard then led the two out of the brig. He then turned back to call to Boulton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhen I get back, I\u2019m filling you in on what happened to me,\u201d he promised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019ll be here,\u201d replied Boulton. The brig block was then filled with only himself and the guard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026You know, you and I are a lot alike,\u201d she said. \u201cWe both did what we thought was the right thing only for it to bite us in the rear.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026You were assimilated?\u201d asked Boulton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNo, but the enemy of the Realms lied to me and I betrayed those closest to me because of it.\u201d Boulton gave a sad smile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWell, I\u2019ll be.
