Megumi and Arsha arrived with the Sources and the three 3V2R prizes in the prearranged universe. Metaltron, Intrag, Hiro, Dr. Borg, the Dalek Rift Controller, their partners, and the hostages met them. \u201cDeciding to go without the bot?\u201d asked Hiro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m not in the mood for your snark, Hiro,\u201d replied Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe have the Sources and our prizes,\u201d said Arsha. The two women set their loads down. \u201cNow let our friends go.\u201d Metaltron turned to her allies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA bargain\u2019s a bargain,\u201d she said. \u201cBesides, shooting them now won\u2019t work. Too many of them are immortal.\u201d Intrag shrugged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAll right, follow me!\u201d barked Hiro. He and the hostages headed to the Sources and prizes. He then cut the hostages\u2019 bonds and shoved each one to Megumi and Arsha. He used a new device to lift the Sources and prizes up and levitate them to Metaltron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDammit, Megumi!\u201d snapped Dell Conagher, a purple TF2 Engineer. \u201cThat was stupider than grilling with-!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCalmly, Dell. Calmly,\u201d soothed Megumi. \u201cArsha, Optimus, and I have a form of insurance playing out.\u201d Everyone then heard someone snap their fingers. They turned to see Metaltron acting as if she just remembered something.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHiro, Dr. Borg, would you and your friends move closer to our foes?\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026What\u2019s going on here?\u201d asked Dr. Borg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cJust need to test the range on something,\u201d replied Metaltron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Not sure I like being a target here,\u201d remarked Hiro. Still, he and his partners obeyed, as did Dr. Borg and hers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026What\u2019s going on here?\u201d asked Arsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHell if I know,\u201d replied Megumi. \u201cAnd I think our arch-enemies are just as confused.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere we go!\u201d Metaltron then pressed a button and an energy field surrounded them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWAIT A MINUTE!\u201d shouted Hiro. \u201cThat was meant for all of us!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat are you talking about?\u201d asked Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis universe is an unstable one!\u201d answered Hana. \u201cThat shield was meant to keep us all safe while you heroes died!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMaybe I would,\u201d gulped Arsha, \u201cbut Megumi\u2019s-.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo, not even I could survive the raw Apocalypse energy being unleashed by a universe ending,\u201d replied Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026That\u2019s alarming,\u201d remarked Arsha. \u201c\u2026But, wait, why are your friends here on OUR side?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBecause we have no further need for our alliance,\u201d replied Intrag. \u201cWe have all the partners we need\u2026and a new plan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou were scheming behind our backs!\u201d Igura accused Metaltron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNaturally,\u201d replied Metaltron. \u201cKhan may have been content to recreate universes and rule over them, but, if I might indulge in old Dalek ways, I\u2019d rather start from scratch. Erase it all. Wipe the slate clean!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Doesn\u2019t look like those dullards understand what you\u2019re saying,\u201d remarked Phury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt seems that way,\u201d agreed Metaltron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPermit me to translate, my lady,\u201d offered Intrag. \u201cI learned to translate genius into imbecile during my reign.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTranslate away,\u201d replied Metaltron. Intrag grinned as he explained to his enemies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019re going to reset the multiverse utterly and rebuild it to our liking!\u201d he said. \u201cWe will be GODS! \u2026Which means, Dr. Borg, you and Hiro won\u2019t exist. Neither will your spouses, children, or those meddlesome idiots we both had to suffer!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cINCONCEIVABLE!\u201d shouted Remsu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou keep using that word,\u201d replied the Rift Controller. \u201cI do not think it means what you think it means.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI see your Rift Controller knows a thing or two about that particular movie\u2026universe\u2026whatever,\u201d said Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s Khan!\u201d snapped Hiro. \u201cWe mutated him into the Dalek Rift Controller!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo, for you, Metaltron is triple crossing you,\u201d said Arsha. \u201cBetrayal stings, doesn\u2019t it?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot as much as Apocalypse energy will sting for you! Ta!\u201d Metaltron and her gang then vanished into a rift that opened behind them. The Rift Controller couldn\u2019t resist a quote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd thus the whirligig of time brings in his revenges! Shakespeare, Twelfth Night<\/em>, Act 5, Scene 1!\u201d It then vanished into the rift. Megumi then pulled out her communicator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDeath! This is Megumi! Requesting evacuation rift back to After Academy! Multiple people will be following!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI read you!\u201d replied Death. \u201cOpening emergency rift now!\u201d A rift then opened and Megumi and Arsha herded their enemies into it before jumping in themselves. It closed behind them and the universe\u2019s stars exploded at the same time, vaporizing everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The group escaped safely, tumbling out of the rift. Death goggled at the sight. \u201cWhat are THEY doing here?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe plan went sideways for all of us!\u201d explained Arsha. \u201cThey betrayed Khan by turning him into a Dalek with the powers of a gateway and now Metaltron betrayed them!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI just\u2026wiped from existence by that blue freak?!\u201d shouted Dr. Borg. \u201cI\u2019d like to see her try after I shove the Rift Controller up her-!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cBUT\u2026not if we get to her first!\u201d insisted Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou can\u2019t,\u201d replied Hiro. \u201cShe\u2019s already aboard her flagship. She has an entire fleet going to Foundation Prime to enact her plan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cTo erase it all like she said?\u201d asked Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026If you want to stop her,\u201d said Dr. Borg, \u201cthen it appears we need to work together. We DO have a common enemy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026Much as I hate to admit it, she\u2019s right,\u201d sighed Death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026Here we go again,\u201d muttered Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWait a minute,\u201d realized Arsha. \u201cThey weren\u2019t there either.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThey?\u201d asked Megumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHiro, where were Nemesis Prime and his Terrorcons?!\u201d Arsha demanded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSame place as Optimus and the other Transformers, I assume,\u201d replied Hiro. The heroes goggled. That meant that their enemies DID anticipate such a maneuver! A call then came through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cEMERGENCY!\u201d shouted Megatron\u2019s voice. \u201cTHIS IS A MEDICAL EMERGENCY! OPTIMUS PRIME IS BADLY WOUNDED! HE WAS RUN THROUGH WITH A SWORD IN NEMESIS PRIME\u2019S POSSESSION!\u201d Megumi\u2019s heart sank as Death checked her smartwatch, fearing the worst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026His\u2026his fate is\u2026\u201d Death looked regretful as Megumi guessed the sentence\u2019s end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026What\u2026what could have\u2026? \u2026Let me see!\u201d she demanded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThat\u2019s not advisable, seeing-!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cLET ME SEE WHAT LOCKED HIM TO HIS FATE!\u201d shouted Megumi. She yanked Death\u2019s arm to her and scrolled through the smartwatch\u2019s fates and saw Optimus\u2019 fate through his optics. He was fighting against the Terrorcons in the old Gotham Underground before leading to the new Batcave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cJust let us take this universe and yours will be spared!\u201d cackled Crystal Widow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou\u2019d never stop at just one!\u201d retorted Optimus as he swung a fancy looking sword. \u201cI\u2019LL TAKE YOU ALL ON!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOptimus, don\u2019t be foolish!\u201d growled Megatron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cPRIME!\u201d shouted Nemesis Prime\u2019s voice. Optimus\u2026then gasped. He was looking directly into Nemesis Prime\u2019s optics, then looked down\u2026to see a wicked looking sword running through his chest at the Spark Chamber. \u201cAt last!\u201d panted Nemesis Prime as everyone stopped fighting with the Terrorcons smiling and the other Transformers gasped in horror. \u201cAfter so many years\u2026Optimus Prime DIES!\u201d Nemesis then pulled his sword out and Optimus\u2019 vision went blurry while his hearing became worse. Death then turned off the feed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026He can still be saved!\u201d pleaded Megumi. \u201cWe can get Ratchet here and-!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIt\u2019s not that simple,\u201d replied Death sadly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe have to try!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cMegumi, I appreciate that you want to help him-,\u201d Megumi grabbed Death and pulled her close to her face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou will NOT tell me to give up on him!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI\u2019m not saying that at all!\u201d hissed Death as she briefly turned to her classic appearance of a skeleton in a black cloak. She then resumed her more human appearance. \u201cBut it\u2019s not just that one stab.
