The Ghostbusters got the details of their new job and were loading up into Ecto-1 by the time the Doctor and William reunited. \u201cAh! William!\u201d greeted the Doctor. \u201cHow did the tour go?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGr-Winston led me around the more public areas, not wanting to give away proprietary secrets,\u201d replied William.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Gr?\u201d repeated the Doctor. \u201cYou know what, you can explain later. Ms. Melnitz, can you tell me what the boys are up to?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a job in central park,\u201d replied Janine. \u201cThey got a call saying that a ghost calling herself Gurast is terrorizing the place.\u201d The Doctor\u2019s eyes widened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGurast?!\u201d she said. \u201cShe\u2019s loose?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoctor?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat must have been the cause of the dimensional disturbance we felt that forced the TARDIS to land here!\u201d the Doctor said to herself. \u201cBut how?! Why?!\u201d She dashed towards the Ecto-1, trying to open the door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLady!\u201d protested Peter. \u201cBack off! We\u2019re scientists!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDr. Venkman, you don\u2019t know the kind of danger you\u2019re walking into!\u201d argued the Doctor. \u201cIt\u2019s Gurast the Star Breaker over in Central Park!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026She\u2019s coming with us, Peter,\u201d decided Egon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat?!\u201d argued Peter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cShe\u2019s done enough paranormal research to be scared,\u201d replied Ray. \u201cEgon\u2019s right.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWilliam, stay at the firehouse,\u201d directed the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat?! Doctor-!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDon\u2019t argue! Gurast is too dangerous for the inexperienced!\u201d She then jumped into Ecto-1. Winston then switched the sirens on, and the Ghostbusters and their partner sped out!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026What is it about Gurast that has the Doctor in a tizzy?\u201d muttered William. He then heard someone pulling a book out. He turned to see Janine flipping through a big book called \u201cTobin\u2019s Spirit Guide\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLet\u2019s see\u2026Garraka\u2026\u201d she muttered as she thumbed through the book. \u201c\u2026Ghostmaster\u2026Goblin\u2026Gozer\u2026Grendel\u2026Grundel\u2026aha, here it is! Gurast the Star Breaker. Millions of years ago, Gurast was born obsessed with war. She spread the gospel of war throughout the cosmos, but she became dissatisfied with just bringing war through space. She then set her sights on making perpetual war across space AND time. It was said that mysterious people that could walk throughout time like a human walks through a city street rallied together and used what is believed to be superior magic to seal away Gurast. It is said that whoever breaks the seal condemns all of time and space to eternal war, now that the time walkers are gone.\u201d William looked on to see the image of Gurast and a picture of the seal. William blinked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026I\u2019ve seen that seal before,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cD\u00e9j\u00e0 vu?\u201d asked Janine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo, in the Doctor\u2019s home. \u2026I think she said that\u2019s a symbol of HER people, the Time Lords.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over in Ecto-1, the Doctor and the Ghostbusters were also discussing Gurast and Egon showed her a picture of the seal. \u201c\u2026That\u2019s the Seal of Rassilon all right,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRassilon?\u201d asked Peter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOne of the founders of Time Lord society,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cAnd also, the most power mad of my people.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo, you\u2019re from the same race that sealed away Gurast?\u201d asked Egon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd Mr. Tobin was quite right to mention how her release would wreak havoc across time and space!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo, let\u2019s call the other Time Lords,\u201d suggested Winston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere aren\u2019t any more Time Lords,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cThough, good thinking. Their knowledge would have helped us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat do you mean?\u201d asked Ray. The Doctor sighed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m not just a Time Lord. \u2026I\u2019m the last of the Time Lords,\u201d she explained. \u201cAfter a great war, the Last Great Time War, my home planet had to hide away from our foes. Unfortunately, one of my people found out the true history of my world and killed them all. We\u2019re on our own against Gurast.\u201d That brought down the mood. Winston then saw something in the road and hit the brakes! Everyone jolted. \u201cWhat on earth-?!\u201d Winston honked the horn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGET OUT OF THE WAY!\u201d he shouted. The Doctor looked out the window and goggled. There was a short person in space armor with a domed helmet!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026What is a-?!\u201d The Doctor then got out of the car and strode towards the person. \u201cYou! Yes, you! The Sontaran wearing 51st<\/sup> century gear!\u201d The person looked directly at the Doctor in surprise. \u201cUnder Jurisdiction 14 of the Shadow Proclamation, I order you and any party you brought with you to cease all activities, retrieve all your technology, and return forthwith to your spatio-temporal origin!\u201d Now the person, the Sontaran, was REALLY perplexed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou are a human,\u201d he growled. \u201cAnd a FEMALE human at that! What do you humans know of the Shadow Proclamation? This planet is a Class-C civilization! Undeveloped!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWouldn\u2019t YOU like to know?!\u201d snarked the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Back at the firehouse, Janine was being shown the TARDIS. \u201cYou\u2019re telling me that that thing,\u201d she said, \u201cis bigger on the inside?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYep, just like the containment unit,\u201d replied William.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhere\u2019d the Doctor find that kind of tech?\u201d asked Janine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026You know, the Doctor says she\u2019s a Time Lord, so\u2026\u201d William was interrupted when he heard the stomping of boots. \u201c\u2026Army?\u201d he muttered. He looked around the corner to see more Sontarans arriving. \u201cHey, Janine?\u201d he called. Janine looked around the corner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThat doesn\u2019t look like a ghost army,\u201d she said. The Sontarans were approaching the firehouse!<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cCome on! Into the TARDIS!\u201d urged William. He had never seen a Sontaran until today, but he had a nasty suspicion they weren\u2019t friendly!<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWilliam Davies\u2026\u201d whispered a woman\u2019s voice. William gulped, then he and Janine turned to see Gurast right behind them. \u201cWelcome to a new war!\u201d whispered Gurast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHold on a minute! You already have an army with those trolls there!\u201d argued William.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhat\u2019s wrong with adding more?\u201d purred Gurast. The Sontarans then arrived. Two of them then saw the TARDIS!<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSir! Permission to scan these humans!\u201d said one as he pointed out the TARDIS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cChecking to see if one of them is the Doctor, eh?\u201d remarked his superior. \u201cPermission granted, Corporal Tren.\u201d The Sontaran, Tren, then pulled out a scanner and checked William and Janine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026My mistake, Sir,\u201d he said. \u201cThey\u2019re both human.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHow do you know the Doctor?\u201d asked William.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAh, the newest companion!\u201d cackled the superior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhat is the significance of this\u2026Doctor?\u201d asked Gurast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThat particular Time Lord is an ancient enemy of the Sontaran Empire,\u201d explained the lead Sontaran. \u201cThey have-.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cTime Lord?! There\u2019s a Time Lord alive?!\u201d The air around Gurast turned very, VERY cold. \u201cThis Time Lord could undo everything! We must destroy them!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd we shall,\u201d replied the lead Sontaran. He took off his helmet and gave a wicked grin. \u201cAnd I know how to draw them to their destruction. I\u2019m sure Stregg would love to see the Doctor with his own eyes!\u201d His troops aimed their guns at William and Janine as he made a call. \u201cCommander Draj to General Stregg!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Doctor\u2019s Sontaran picked up his comms unit. \u201cWhat is it, Draj?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDid that person call you-?!\u201d gulped the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSilence, female!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSir,\u201d said Draj, \u201cmy unit has located the Doctor\u2019s TARDIS and Gurast knows the existence of the Doctor. We have the Doctor\u2019s companion and the Ghostbusters\u2019 female as prisoners.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWilliam!\u201d whispered the Doctor. The Sontaran, Stregg, caught notice of that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026Standby, Draj,\u201d he ordered. He approached the Doctor with a scanner and waved it over her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSo, you\u2019re Stregg the Indomitable,\u201d muttered the Doctor. Stregg\u2019s scanner beeped. He checked the readings and grinned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026I see my reputation precedes me, Doctor!\u201d he chuckled. He called Draj back. \u201cStregg to Draj, I have the Doctor right here! Now, Doctor, unless you wish for your companion and the Ghostbusters\u2019 female to die, I suggest you and the Ghostbusters surrender! You have five seconds to comply! Five!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDoctor, how bad is this guy?!\u201d asked Ray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cFour!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI\u2019ll explain later,\u201d replied the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThree!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cBut right now, William and Janine aren\u2019t safe!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cTwo!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026Fine, you win,\u201d muttered Peter. He and the rest of the Ghostbusters stepped out of Ecto-1<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOne!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe surrender, Stregg,\u201d said the Doctor as she and the Ghostbusters raised their hands in surrender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026A pity,\u201d mused Stregg. \u201cI was hoping you\u2019d put up more of a fight. Draj, take the Doctor\u2019s companion and the Ghostbusters\u2019 female to base! Bring the TARDIS too!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYes, Sir!\u201d replied Draj.
