\u201c\u2026No way!\u201d breathed William in astonishment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWeaponry malfunction!\u201d yelped the Red Supreme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTotal power failure in armament circuits!\u201d reported the Black and Gold Supreme. A wicked grin crossed the Doctor\u2019s face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAha!\u201d she said. \u201cThe Beacon you set up has been turned against you! By Octus, if I\u2019m a betting Time Lord.\u201d The instant she finished that declaration, all those that were enslaved by the Daleks set down their tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, well, well!\u201d chuckled Doh-Komoh. \u201cDaleksss without the ability to kill! On their home planet, no lessss! How doesss it feel?!\u201d The Daleks backed up in fear!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKeep back! KEEP BACK!\u201d cried the Emperor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd if he doesn\u2019t, what can you do?\u201d asked William. \u201cYour weapons are totally useless.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe power failure is temporary!\u201d insisted the Gold Supreme. \u201cSuperior Dalek technology-!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One angry Decepticon could just raise his foot and stomp on you like a human would stomp on a cockroach and kill you easier than that. And you have FIVE angry Decepticons. Those facts must penetrate even Dalek arrogance.\u201d The Emperor and the Supreme Council looked at one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026I must confer with the Council,\u201d boomed the Emperor. \u201cCouncilors, follow!\u201d He led the Supreme Council out of the mines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Doctor, that was just stupid!\u201d hissed William. \u201cWhat was your backup plan if you were wrong?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, ducking for a start, then getting you two out of here,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cThen we\u2019d have to solve the Beacon Problem ourselves.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Doctor, if the Daleks can\u2019t shoot,\u201d asked Amy, \u201chow are they moving?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPsychokinetic energy,\u201d answered the Doctor. Amy groaned and shut her eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBecause, of course, mind powers are at play with them,\u201d she sighed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoctor,\u201d said Doh-Komoh, \u201cdo you think the Daleksss will agree?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI was about to make the same offer, Prime,\u201d chuckled the Doctor. \u201cOne moment.\u201d The Doctor headed to the mines\u2019 entrance and ducked behind the rocks to hear the Emperor and his Council talking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe only method available,\u201d said the Black and Silver Supreme, \u201cis to reset the Beacon!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat will require cooperation with our slave workers!\u201d argued the Red Supreme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA temporary measure!\u201d replied the White and Black Supreme. \u201cWe will cooperate long enough for the Beacon to allow only Dalek weaponry! Then we will exterminate all who do not obey Dalek commands!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAgreed!\u201d said the Emperor. The Doctor heard enough and rejoined the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, Doctor?\u201d asked Megatron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI think they\u2019ll go for it, only until the Beacon is reset,\u201d reported the Doctor. \u201cSo we need to destroy it and get a fighting chance. \u2026Not that they\u2019ll act in time to stop that from happening.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHow very Decepticon of you,\u201d purred Megatron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI still warn you all, don\u2019t trust the Daleks an inch!\u201d urged the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Emperor\u2019sss coming back,\u201d warned Doh-Komoh. The Emperor Dalek approached the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell?\u201d asked the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cVery well, Doctor!\u201d replied the Emperor. \u201cThe truce exists between all parties!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cVery wise of you,\u201d said the Doctor. \u201cNow, I think we need to investigate where Octus scuttled off to.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Gold Supreme will assist in the investigation!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThundercracker,\u201d barked Megatron. \u201cYou will assist the Gold Supreme.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBumblebee, you do the same,\u201d ordered Optimus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAmy, William, you\u2019d better accompany them,\u201d said the Doctor. \u201cI need to get into the Dalek City and locate the TARDIS so we have an escape route.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The investigation team was walking along the surface of Skaro, staying near the mountains. The Gold Supreme brought up the rear. \u201cTell me, Thundercracker,\u201d said Bumblebee, \u201cwhile we\u2019re not shooting each other and as you\u2019re a Decepticon I consider respectable, why side with a guy that poisoned Cybertron\u2019s core?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Kaleds were our humanoid ancestors!\u201d explained the Gold Supreme. \u201cThe Kaled you speak of, Davros, our creator, conditioned the first Daleks to survive! Survival meant becoming the dominant species! When all other life-forms are suppressed, when the Daleks become the supreme beings in the universe, THEN you have peace! Wars will end! We are not a power of evil, but of good!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou really believe killing all non-Daleks is good?!\u201d protested Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt IS good!\u201d retorted the Gold Supreme. \u201cThis discussion is at an end!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe\u2019s not wrong,\u201d remarked Bumblebee. \u201cI see Octus over there.\u201d He pointed out where Octus was. It was a small building with Daleks being automatically unloaded from a production line. The casings were open, so everyone could see what a Dalek looked like inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, gross!\u201d gagged Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHow\u2019s this production line up and running?\u201d muttered William.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA shielded backup, maybe?\u201d guessed Thundercracker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCorrect!\u201d replied the Gold Supreme in as much of a whisper as it could muster. The opened Daleks were brought to a machine with an electric prod. The machine gave the Dalek creatures a zap, waking it up and prompting it to seal its casing. The awakened Daleks then assembled in front of Octus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Do you know how the first Daleks came to be?\u201d Octus asked the Daleks. \u201c\u2026They were humanoid once. Then they were taken in by a wicked scientist and tortured! Mutilated! A ruined form of life! And now\u2026perfected! My Daleks\u2026whom do you serve?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026We serve Octus!\u201d called one of the new Daleks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe is the true Emperor!\u201d said another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOCTUS! OCTUS! OCTUS!\u201d cheered the new Daleks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTRAITORS!\u201d shrieked the Gold Supreme as it broke cover. \u201cEXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCome back here, you FOOL!\u201d shouted Thundercracker. Then\u2026they saw it happen! One of the new Daleks rushed at the Gold Supreme\u2026then its travel skirt split into eight segments that extended, then the limb and neck section split away to reveal a torso as six of the skirt sections traveled up to the shoulder area to make six arms while the remaining two became legs! The eyestalk sunk into the dome and the new six-armed humanoid form of the new Dalek punched a hole through the Gold Supreme!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh\u2026no!\u201d breathed Bumblebee. \u201cThe Daleks were dangerous enough\u2026!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBut Daleks that can transform into a humanoid form?!\u201d finished Thundercracker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTell me, my brother,\u201d Octus said to the Dalek that killed the Gold Supreme, \u201chow does it feel?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026I\u2026feel!\u201d replied the Transformer Dalek. \u201cIt\u2026is\u2026GOOD!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cExcellent!\u201d praised Octus. \u201cOur personal counter-beacon works! Now you are deadlier than ever! \u2026Now to take care of some\u2026pests!\u201d Octus assumed robot mode and looked towards where the Gold Supreme came from. \u201cRejoice, brothers! Your first collective test is here! Show these inferiors the true meaning of terror! Transform! Transform\u2026AND EXTERMINATE!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEXTERMINATE!\u201d called Octus\u2019 Daleks as they all assumed robot mode! \u201cEXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
