While the investigation team was being chased, the Doctor and the Transformers accompanied the Dalek Emperor to Kalaan, the Capital City of the Daleks. It was eerily silent, unnerving even the Daleks. \u201cGotta say, for once, I can\u2019t wait to hear that pulsing sound,\u201d said the Doctor. \u201c\u2026What makes that sound in your installations anyways?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEnough!\u201d boomed the Emperor as they made it into the throne room. The Doctor\u2019s eyes widened when she saw the TARDIS there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAh! Kept the old girl safe, did you?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSILENCE!\u201d That was when a few Daleks pushed a machine into the room. \u201cThis is the machine that powers our Beacon! Repairs must be conducted!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd this time, you really DO need humanoids to do your dirty work,\u201d said the Doctor. \u201cWell, as the old song goes, you need hands.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cALERT! ALERT!\u201d shrieked a guard Dalek as it hurried into the room in a panic. \u201cFORWARD SCOUTING PARTY REPORTS OCTUS SIEZING CONTROL OF SHIELDED PRODUCTION LINE! OCTUS HAS REPROGRAMMED THE RESULTING DALEKS TO OBEY HIM AND HAS ALTERED THEIR CASINGS TO HAVE THE ABILITY TO ASSUME A SIX-ARMED HUMANOID MODE! THEY ARE CHASING WHAT REMAINS OF THE INVESTIGATION TEAM! GOLD SUPREME HAS BEEN EXTERMINATED BY ONE OF THE FALSE DALEKS!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Daleks with the ability to transform?!\u201d asked Megatron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTHE FALSE DALEKS MUST BE EXTERMINATED!\u201d boomed the Emperor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou don\u2019t have power for your weapons, remember?!\u201d argued the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat is not your concern! Repair the machine! Obey! OBEY!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Megatron, Optimus, we have some work to do,\u201d sighed the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Outside the city, Thundercracker, Bumblebee, Amy, and William were still dodging the Octus Daleks\u2019 weapons fire. \u201cCould really use some firepower!\u201d grunted Bumblebee. That was when an Octus Dalek landed near them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEXTERMINATE!\u201d it shouted before Amy hammered it into the sky, crashing into its comrades. It brought its friends down to the ground hard, making them explode on impact!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTHE PINK AND BLACK ONE IS TO DIE FIRST!\u201d shouted Octus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cUh oh!\u201d gulped Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDALEKS, HALT!\u201d boomed the voice of the Emperor Dalek. He approached the Octus Daleks as they landed with Octus. \u201cSo the Daleks have a new leader!\u201d boomed the Emperor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt is the new order!\u201d barked one of the Octus Daleks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou Daleks,\u201d remarked Octus, \u201chad long been denied the same sensations the rest of the universe enjoys. I\u2019ve upgraded the shells so that they can feel as I do.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDaleks do not require the same feelings as the rest of the universe!\u201d retorted the Emperor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCome on!\u201d hissed Bumblebee to his teammates. They dashed into the city as Octus and the Emperor discussed their wicked philosophies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Doctor continued working on the machine with Optimus and Megatron. \u201cThere, that should reset it,\u201d muttered the Doctor. \u201cNow, if someone applied a bit of percussive maintenance-.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDOCTOR!\u201d called William. The Doctor turned to see Thundercracker and Bumblebee carrying her friends into the throne room!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWILLIAM! AMY! YOU\u2019RE ALL RIGHT!\u201d She hugged the two once they were set back onto the floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe only just escaped by the skin of our teeth!\u201d replied Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoctor, Octus made-!\u201d said William<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDaleks with the ability to transform, yes, I heard,\u201d interrupted the Doctor. \u201cAnd I think I\u2019m almost done with the Beacon, it just needs a little\u2026percussive maintenance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSay no more!\u201d called Amy as she summoned her hammer! She approached the machine and pulled her hammer back, filling her arms with all the stress, anger, and general hate towards the Daleks, then swinging it forward into the machine! The machine then sent energy through the cables to the Beacon on the city spire\u2026too much energy for the Beacon to handle! It started shaking, then it exploded!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Outside the city walls, Octus, the Octus Daleks, and the Emperor looked up at the spire. \u201c\u2026The Beacon!\u201d whispered Octus as his optics widened in fear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Doctor did not repair the machine properly!\u201d boomed the Emperor. \u201c\u2026But that is of little consequence! The more pressing priority is your extermination!\u201d It then made a broadcast to the city. \u201cAll Daleks, weapons power has been restored! Rally to me and exterminate the false Daleks! Purge them from Skaro!\u201d At that command, Daleks rose from all parts of the city, engaging their flight modes or using hoverbouts, then swarmed towards Octus and his Daleks!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Inside the throne room, the Doctor\u2019s ears were filled with the familiar pulsing sound that all Dalek installations made when power is available. \u201cThat\u2019s that,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat about the Daleks guarding the mines?\u201d asked Bumblebee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the mines, Doh-Komoh kept his ear out. The Daleks couldn\u2019t exactly make them work without power to their weapons. Doh-Komoh learned that everyone was allowed to keep their weapons since they were useless. He planned out an escape attempt the instant the power came back on. The guards were counted and were discovered to be few in number. Just then, he saw the Dalek in the control center swivel its eyestalk to a monitor that flashed to life! \u201cPassss the word along,\u201d he whispered to one of his fellows. \u201cPower hasss been ressstored for the Daleksss. Check your gunsss.\u201d The word was passed along and everyone checked their guns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026All guns are fully charged, Your Majesty!\u201d replied a green-scaled person with red eye lenses on his helmet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThen what are we waiting for?!\u201d asked Doh-Komoh. \u201cCHARGE!\u201d The former slaves drew their weapons and fired on the Daleks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAIM FOR THE EYEPIECE!\u201d called the Ice Warrior. The former slaves adjusted their targets and aimed at the Daleks\u2019 eyestalks. One got lucky and utterly destroyed it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cVISION IMPAIRED!\u201d shrieked the unlucky Dalek. \u201cI CANNOT SEE!\u201d It fired wildly until another shot tore through its midsection, now that its shielding was kaput, effectively killing the Dalek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Doctor had pulled up the whole thing on the monitor. \u201cI think they\u2019ve got it,\u201d she replied in answer to Bumblebee\u2019s question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNow THERE\u2019S an idea!\u201d chuckled Megatron darkly. He then transformed into his tank mode and left the throne room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMegatron, where are you going?!\u201d called Optimus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTo do some extermination of my own, Prime!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMEGATRON, COME BACK!\u201d It was no use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOptimus, why do you need him back?\u201d asked William.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBecause I\u2019m calling for help, that\u2019s why!\u201d answered Optimus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI can give the transporters coordinates for the strays and survivors,\u201d said the Doctor. \u201cJust leave it all to me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Very well.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Megatron fired on the Daleks as he stormed through the city. Original, Octus, it made no difference. As he fired\u2026he heard a song of some sort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe first step of the cure is a kiss!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n So call me (Dr. Love!)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n They call me Dr. Love! (Calling Dr. Love!)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n I am your doctor of love! (Calling Dr. Love!) Ha!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n They call me (Dr. Love!), they call me Dr. Love! (Calling Dr. Love!)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n I’ve got the cure you’re thinkin’ of! (Calling Dr. Love!)<\/em>\u201d Soundwave was using his powers over sound to give the Daleks terminal headaches!<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cALERT! ALERT! SONIC ATTACKS! PAIN! ALERT!\u201d The Daleks exploded after a while.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026Must you use human garbage?\u201d Megatron grunted at Soundwave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHeavy Metal: only human music worthwhile,\u201d replied Soundwave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cPlease yourself,\u201d muttered Megatron as he transformed to robot mode. \u201cI\u2019ll just stick to my favorite weapon, if you don\u2019t mind.\u201d To prove his point, he fired the fusion cannon on his arm on a squadron of Daleks that rounded the corner. As everyone fought\u2026a cyan light surrounded them. \u201cWhat is this?!\u201d demanded Megatron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cTransmat in progress!\u201d replied Soundwave. \u201cEnergy harmonics indicate Autobot origin!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNO!\u201d shouted Megatron. Too late. He and Soundwave vanished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Outside the city, the two Dalek armies still fought each other. Even with their abilities to transform, the Octus Daleks were having a hard time with effectively countering the original Daleks. \u201cWHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU DOLTS?!\u201d shouted Octus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cInexperience is hampering your progress!\u201d boomed the Emperor. Just then, a shadow fell over the battlefield. Octus looked up and goggled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026Ark<\/em>!\u201d he whispered as a torpedo bore down on them!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Aboard the Autobot starship Ark<\/em>, everyone that survived was transported to the bridge. Medical staff quickly took the former slaves over to the medical ward and brought the dead to beds where they could be respectfully buried later. Meanwhile, the helmsman wasted no time in getting the Ark<\/em> out of Dalek territory. A bot built like Jazz, but with police car decorations, approached Optimus. \u201cSir, it\u2019s great to have you back,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cProwl! How long have you-?!\u201d asked Optimus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSince the prison ship snatched you and your team, Sir,\u201d replied the bot, Prowl. He turned to the Doctor and her friends. \u201cNow, which one of you three is the owner of this particular box?\u201d He pointed at the TARDIS currently resting on the console of a red bot looking similar to Bumblebee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThat\u2019s me!\u201d called the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDoctor, you saved a lot of lives,\u201d said Prowl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI don\u2019t know,\u201d remarked Megatron as he aimed his fusion cannon at Prowl. \u201cI\u2019d say she risked-!\u201d He then heard Optimus\u2019 Ion Blaster arming as well as Thundercracker\u2019s incendiary guns. Megatron turned to Thundercracker, expecting him to be aiming his firearms at Optimus\u2026and was surprised to be staring down both barrels. \u201c\u2026Thundercracker, I think your targeting systems need an adjustment,\u201d remarked Megatron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cPut that fusion cannon away, Megatron!\u201d snarled Thundercracker. \u201cWilliam\u2019s right! We\u2019re making the same mistakes as the Daleks!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026What did you just say?!\u201d hissed Megatron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou\u2026DARE\u2026compare us to those inferior-!\u201d snapped Starscream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThere it is! Inferior! The words the Daleks use to describe non-Daleks! Are we gonna be describing non-Decepticons in the same way?!\u201d argued Thundercracker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThundercracker: outnumbered and outgunned,\u201d droned Soundwave as he aimed his gun at Thundercracker. The other Decepticons followed suit\u2026for the moment. Autobots snuck up behind them and zapped them to the point of unconsciousness, then hauled them away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026I think the Autobots have the right idea,\u201d remarked Thundercracker. \u201cYour battle with Optimus ends NOW or I shall write its conclusion!\u201d Megatron saw that all Autobots were aiming their weapons at him, so even shooting Optimus would be a death sentence. He growled as he powered down his weapon and held his hands up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou will never be welcome in the ranks of the Decepticons again!\u201d he promised Thundercracker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSometimes it\u2019s best to be known for one\u2019s enemies,\u201d retorted Thundercracker as he took out the power cartridges in his guns and handed them to Prowl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou will suffer for this, Thundercracker!\u201d growled Megatron. \u201cYou will suffer unimaginably!\u201d He was handcuffed and led to the cells. Thundercracker then held his hands out for the cuffs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026Thundercracker\u2026\u201d said Optimus, \u201c\u2026perhaps I\u2019m making the same mistakes as the Daleks.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDon\u2019t insult yourself, Prime,\u201d replied Thundercracker as Prowl put the cuffs on him. \u201cYou actually care about people.\u201d He was led away and everyone released a sigh of relief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026Well, this HAS been a trip,\u201d remarked the Doctor. \u201cOptimus\u2026a great future awaits the galaxy and Cybertron specifically. For now, we must bid farewell.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026Goodbye, Doctor,\u201d said Optimus as he picked up her and her companions. \u201cUntil our next meeting.\u201d He set them on the console where the TARDIS rested. The Doctor and her friends went into the TARDIS, shut the door, and the ancient engines kicked in as the TARDIS faded from existence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Inside the TARDIS, Amy and William were resting on the chairs. \u201cThat\u2026was\u2026intense!\u201d panted Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNo kidding!\u201d shuddered William. \u201cIf I never see another Dalek, it\u2019ll be too soon!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026They\u2019re not that easy to get rid of,\u201d remarked the Doctor. \u201c\u2026But we DID participate in events that will lead to a better future for the galaxy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDoctor?\u201d asked William.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cUpon his return,\u201d explained the Doctor, \u201cDoh-Komoh resumes his position as Emperor of the Draconians and renews the oath of friendship between his people and Earth and its colonies. He then gives an impassioned speech that convinces the Daleks\u2019 old enemies, the Thals, to join the alliance. Soon, Earth is part of a great Federation! Just in time, too, because in three years time, the Daleks will declare war on the humans again. Only, this time, the humans won\u2019t be fighting alone! The Transformers will have put aside their own internal differences and join the alliance in defeating the Daleks yet again in the Ninth Dalek War!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNinth?\u201d asked Amy. \u201c\u2026And\u2026defeating the Daleks yet again?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSo we fight the Daleks numerous times,\u201d said William, \u201cand always come out on top?\u201d He then grinned. \u201cOh, those poor saltshakers!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHere\u2019s to survivors!\u201d cheered Amy. \u201cTo survivors all across time and space!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHear, hear!\u201d agreed the Doctor. \u201cLife wins, despite the efforts of the Daleks and those that think like them!
