The TARDIS crew as well as their new friends were led to cells while Whis was still in the lab. Rassilon and Ginyu struggled for dominance and control of the body they now shared. The Doctor, meanwhile, thought hard about how Frieza\u2019s plan would require the Dragon Balls. William and Amy stood by while Goku tried to punch his way out and Bulma had a few choice words for Frieza\u2019s men. \u201cYOU THINK I\u2019M GONNA ROT HERE FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE?!\u201d she shouted. \u201cWHEN VEGETA GETS BACK, YOU\u2019RE ALL GONNA HAVE TWO SAIYANS RAMPAGING THROUGH THIS FLYING PIECE OF TIN FOIL!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHow long has she been shouting?\u201d muttered William.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAn hour, I think,\u201d replied Amy. \u201cI HAD hoped I\u2019d get something about Frieza\u2019s plans from Ginyu, but he\u2019s too busy wrestling with Rassilon.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Goku,\u201d called William.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYeah?\u201d asked Goku as he punched the wall to no avail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere are multiple sets of Dragon Balls, yeah?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s right.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWith their own set of rules?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cUh huh.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd Ginyu said that Frieza used the Namekian Dragon Balls to resurrect him and his men,\u201d continued William.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYep. Though Frieza would have had to have used the Namekian Dragon Balls twice after a year passed for New Namek,\u201d explained Goku.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHow\u2019s that?\u201d asked William.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, while our Dragon Balls take a year to recharge after they\u2019re used, the Namekian Dragon Balls take only 130 days,\u201d replied Goku. \u201cAnd though the person that gathered them gets three wishes, including bringing back someone from the dead, they can only return one person at a time, regardless of how long it is. For us, we can bring back anyone as long as they\u2019ve only been dead for a year. Any longer, we can\u2019t bring them back. Even then, that limits our three wishes to two.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026And there\u2019s only five in the Ginyu Force, right?\u201d asked Amy, catching onto William\u2019s logic. Bulma stopped shouting when she heard Amy\u2019s question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Yeah, there are,\u201d said Bulma. \u201cSo what did Frieza use his sixth wish for? \u2026Unless\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cInformation concerning the experiment he\u2019s conducting,\u201d finished the Doctor. \u201cBut limited information\u2026 \u2026Of course! He needs more data! He would need the creator deity as well as a destroyer and a sort of neutral party such as Whis. But to go about combining their energies as he said\u2026how very worrying.\u201d The Doctor got up and started tinkering with the controls to her cell door. After a bit of rewiring, the forcefield vanished. \u201cThere.\u201d She then went to a console and keyed in a command. All the doors unlocked. \u201cCome on, everyone. We need to settle Rassilon\u2019s dilemma first. Goku, be a dear and get her.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRight!\u201d replied Goku. He then went to Rassilon\u2019s cell and grabbed her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cUNHAND ME, YOU UNSTYLISH OAF!\u201d shouted Ginyu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI have to agree with the ham-actor in my head! PUT ME DOWN!\u201d protested Rassilon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWill you quit squirming?!\u201d snapped Goku. \u201cI can\u2019t begin to imagine what it\u2019s like having two minds in your head!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s why Time Lords only do the telepathic thing with one another,\u201d remarked the Doctor. They managed to get the squirming Time Lord with two minds to a lab and set her down on a table. The Doctor activated restraints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Doctor, how much pain will Rassilon be experiencing?\u201d asked William.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cUnfortunately, quite a lot,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cBut we can\u2019t exactly do anything without Ginyu\u2019s original body.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHold up, I think I see it here!\u201d called Bulma. The body was in a stasis tube.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPerfect! Lay him down on the opposite table!\u201d directed the Doctor. Goku did so and the Doctor wired headsets to both bodies. \u201cNo time for sedatives,\u201d sighed the Doctor. \u201cSorry, Rassilon.\u201d She activated the machine and electricity surged through the heads. Rassilon and Ginyu screamed as the Doctor worked. After two agonizing minutes, the machine switched off and Rassilon opened her eyes slowly, groaning in pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOooogh\u2026my head!\u201d she complained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cM-Mine too!\u201d groaned Ginyu\u2019s voice from his old body. The Doctor went to check on Rassilon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m all right now, Doctor!\u201d insisted Rassilon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGotta make absolutely sure,\u201d replied the Doctor. She checked over Rassilon\u2019s body. \u201c\u2026No signs of the regeneration process starting,\u201d she said. \u201cThat\u2019s always a good sign.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou\u2026you put me back in my old body!\u201d snarled Ginyu. \u201cI can\u2019t use my body swap ability on her again, thanks to your infernal meddling!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, if you WILL try and swap bodies with the founder of Time Lord Society-,\u201d chided the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoctor, we have other issues right now,\u201d said Rassilon. \u201cWe have to save Whis. \u2026And Beerus, I suppose.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou\u2019re going nowhere!\u201d shouted Ginyu as he blocked the door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCaptain Ginyu, we don\u2019t have time to fight you, so move!\u201d insisted the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI don\u2019t think so!\u201d replied Ginyu. \u201cLord Frieza has demanded no interruptions as he gathers the Dragon Balls and-!\u201d Amy got him to shut up\u2026with her hammer, of course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Wh-Where\u2019d you get that?!\u201d asked Goku.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFascinating,\u201d remarked Rassilon. \u201cThe Time Lords couldn\u2019t do that, despite our advances.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019ll gawk at her ability to rearrange matter without dangerous nuclear effects later,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cCome on!\u201d The group ran out of the lab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Frieza stood on the bridge of his ship. \u201cStatus report of locating that Dragon Radar of Madam Bulma,\u201d he ordered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot good, my Lord,\u201d sighed an alien. \u201cThough we DID locate the Doctor\u2019s TARDIS.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI suppose that\u2019s as good a consolation prize as any,\u201d sighed Frieza. \u201cHave it brought aboard.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes, my Lord,\u201d said the alien. Another alien then came onto the bridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026You look like the proverbial Saurian Liger that ate the equally proverbial Brenchian Mouse,\u201d observed Frieza. \u201cWhat do you have to report?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRemember the last time we swiped the Dragon Radar?\u201d asked the new alien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes, I recall. That led to Broly, remember?\u201d scoffed Frieza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, our scientists had picked it apart last time after we gathered the Dragon Balls and we managed to make our own radar.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo you\u2019re telling me this after no testing?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cForgive me for contradicting you\u2026\u201d the alien then produced two perfectly spherical orange crystals, one with four five-pointed stars inside it, the other with two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTwo Dragon Balls already?!\u201d cheered Frieza. \u201cI underestimated your skill! How many teams went out?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSeven, my Lord. One for each Dragon Ball.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cExcellent! Have them brought to my quarters! Pass it along to all the team leaders!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAt once, my Lord.\u201d The alien bowed and left.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNow, as for you\u2026\u201d Frieza pointed a finger at the first alien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cW-WAIT! LORD FRIEZA! I CAN-!\u201d The hapless alien didn\u2019t get very far as Frieza fired an energy shot from his finger and pierced the alien\u2019s heart for failing him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSomeone tidy up the bridge, please,\u201d said Frieza, as if he were talking to a servant to get rid of some trash. The alarms then sounded. \u201cOh, what is it?!\u201d complained Frieza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLord Frieza!\u201d called an alien. \u201cThe Saiyan and his friends have escaped! Ginyu\u2019s back in his previous body, according to reports!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSTOP THEM, YOU FOOLS!\u201d shouted Frieza. \u201cTHE TIME LORDS WILL BE MAKING THEIR WAY TO FREE BEERUS AND WHIS!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Frieza was frighteningly accurate at what the Doctor and her team were doing. They arrived at the same laboratory that held Beerus and noticed that Whis was in the same predicament as Beerus. \u201cWe\u2019ll have to unwire them,\u201d said the Doctor. \u201cRassilon, help me with Whis. He\u2019s the higher priority in more ways than one.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRight,\u201d agreed Rassilon. The two Time Lords checked out what the wires led to. \u201cLooks like we have to be careful, Doctor,\u201d warned Rassilon. \u201cOne wrong move would kill them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAlternatively,\u201d said Frieza\u2019s voice as he arrived, \u201cyou could step away!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFrieza, what possible reason could there be to combine a Supreme Kai\u2019s creation energy and a God of Destruction\u2019s hakai energy?\u201d asked the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTo destroy Grand Zeno and his pathetic angels!\u201d replied Frieza. \u201cOne NEEDS to be on Grand Zeno\u2019s level to kill him!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGrand Zeno?\u201d asked William.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Omni-king himself?!\u201d asked Rassilon. \u201cYou fool! You\u2019d destroy EVERY universe in the process!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd create new ones in my image!\u201d laughed Frieza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou\u2019ve lost your mind, Frieza!\u201d snarled Goku. \u201cI happen to like how Zenny and his twin are running things!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, you can\u2019t exactly force your tastes onto a Supreme Being such as myself!\u201d retorted Frieza. His natural and artificial armor then cracked and he exploded with energy. In the place of Frieza\u2019s old form was someone with his face, a pale-gray body, purple gems on his scalp, shoulders, shins, and forearms. That body then grew spikes, a longer tail, and white horns around the scalp. He then turned golden as a mouth guard appeared over his face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026A new form of Golden Frieza, huh?\u201d asked Goku as his hair and eyes turned silver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Ultra Instinct?!\u201d asked Rassilon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSomething I had to learn from my dearly departed brother, Cooler!\u201d Frieza explained in response to Goku\u2019s question. He then rushed at the Saiyan and the battle began!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
