\u201cNo, the Q-39 doesn\u2019t have the right explosive yield for that kind of punishment,\u201d dismissed Tyr\u2019ahnee. \u201cHave our production lines construct the Illudium Q-41 Explosive Space Modulator immediately.\u201d Marvin and the Instant Martians gasped in horror.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cY-Your Majesty!\u201d stammered Marvin. \u201cWe\u2019d have to install the core of a hyperdrive engine to engage the command deck\u2019s centrifugal functions! The formula for the Q-41 isn\u2019t stable! The forces unleashed could-!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCommander X-2, have you finally become the Earth Creature known as a chicken?\u201d asked Tyr\u2019ahnee coldly. Marvin twiddled his thumbs a bit, then grabbed a communicator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026P-PREPARE PRODUC\u2026!\u201d He then took a breath after his voice cracked in terror. \u201c\u2026Prepare Production Lines for construction of the Illudium Q-41 Explosive Space Modulator! Fasten all seat restraints! Seal all doors! Close all shops in the mall! Cancel all movies! Secure all personal belongings! Make sure-!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGive me that, you pathetic excuse for a commander!\u201d Tyr\u2019ahnee grabbed the comms unit and spoke into it. \u201cProduction Lines, report status on hyperdrive engine core!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEngine core installed, Your Majesty!\u201d replied the person on the other end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGood! All hands, begin-!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYour Majesty,\u201d begged Marvin as he buckled himself into his seat, \u201cyou may want to strap in!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAh, strap this!\u201d dismissed Tyr\u2019ahnee. She resumed addressing the complex. \u201cAll hands, begin production of the Illudium Q-41 Explosive Space Modulator!\u201d The control room part of the complex then extended and spun like a machine that simulates g-forces! Tyr\u2019ahnee found herself being lifted off the floor and grabbed a nearby control console. \u201cWHAT HAVE I DONE?!\u201d she cried over the roar. \u201cMY BRAINS\u2026ARE GOING INTO MY FEET!\u201d A warning light then flashed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over in another part of the complex, Amy reunited with the Doctor. \u201cDoctor!\u201d she said. \u201cThank goodness! Where\u2019s Bugs?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOver in there, I presume,\u201d replied the Doctor as she pointed out the control room still acting as a centrifuge. \u201cThe rotational speed is being fed into a hyperdrive core to make the currently unstable Illudium Q-41 Explosive Space Modulator. Once it blows, then the Ice Warriors will attack.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Is Bugs gonna be okay?\u201d asked Amy, worried.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe\u2019s gone through worse, oddly enough,\u201d answered the Doctor. Just then, an explosion erupted from part of the complex. \u201cThat\u2019s the signal!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTHE PRODUCTION LINES BLEW UP!\u201d called an Instant Martian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!\u201d shouted Tyr\u2019ahnee. \u201cSTOP THE RIDE! I WANNA GET OFF!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWE CAN\u2019T STOP!\u201d replied Marvin. \u201cIT\u2019S TOO DANGEROUS! WE HAVE TO SLOW DOWN!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHORSE HOCKEY!\u201d ordered Tyr\u2019ahnee. \u201cSTOP THIS THING! I ORDER YOU! STOOOOOOOOOOPPPP!!!\u201d Marvin couldn\u2019t bring himself to disobey his Queen, so he reached for the emergency stop lever and pulled it. The control room suddenly stopped spinning and Tyr\u2019ahnee flew forward into a control bank! A pair of Instant Martians then helped her up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYour Majesty! Are you okay?!\u201d called Marvin as he unbuckled and went to help her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Fine,\u201d mumbled Tyr\u2019ahnee. \u201cHow are you?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoing fine, given the circumstances,\u201d replied Marvin. He then saw something on the floor. \u201cOh! Your hair!\u201d he said as he picked it up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, my personality,\u201d said Tyr\u2019ahnee. \u201cThanks.\u201d Marvin then realized something. \u2026Tyr\u2019ahnee\u2019s hair wasn\u2019t a wig. So\u2026 He looked up at Tyr\u2019ahnee\u2026and saw rabbit ears on the top of her head. His eyes became filled with fury. \u201cTyr\u2019ahnee\u201d noticed this, then realized her\u2026or rather HIS disguise had worn off! It was Bugs Bunny in drag! \u201c\u2026Uh\u2026new Earth fashion?\u201d he tried.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, that\u2019s not nice!\u201d seethed Marvin as his breathing speed increased. \u201cImpersonating my Queen and sabotaging the production lines makes me angry, Rabbit! Very angry indeed!\u201d As Marvin pulled out a pistol, something knocked on the door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWho\u2019s out there?!\u201d demanded an Instant Martian. His question was answered as Taxona, Skaldak, and their armed and very angry Ice Warrior compatriots stormed the command deck and fired their sonic blasters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYIPE!\u201d yelped Bugs as he dodged the Ice Warriors\u2019 weapons fire and fled, leaving his disguise behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bugs reunited with the Doctor and Amy. \u201cDoc! Amy!\u201d he called.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBugs! How goes the battle?!\u201d asked the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSkaldak and Taxona swarmed the command deck,\u201d replied Bugs, \u201cbut now we gotta know if the Ice Warriors win or lose! I can\u2019t just leave them to Marvin!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cErm, Bugs, I think we have bigger things to worry about!\u201d replied Amy as she pointed behind Bugs. He then heard breathing and felt air on his tail. He looked behind to see Gossamer ready to charge like a crazed bull.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cStop steaming up my tail!\u201d snapped Bugs as he smacked Gossamer. \u201cWhat are you trying to do, wrinkle it?!\u201d Gossamer then gave Bugs a swift kick in the rear! Bugs went tumbling forward, then stopped when he hit a wall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBUGS!\u201d yelped the Doctor. She then turned to Gossamer. \u201cI think you need to get the hair out of your eyes!\u201d she said to the monster as she rifled through her pockets. \u201cLet\u2019s see, yo-yo, psychic paper, aha! Acme Clippers!\u201d She pulled out a pair of electric hair clippers and switched them on. Gossamer spluttered in fear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCLIPPERS!\u201d he cried before running from the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCome back here, you big baby!\u201d protested the Doctor. \u201cA haircut never hurt anyone!\u201d A baseball bat then hit Gossamer in the face!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOf course, you realize, Gossamer,\u201d said Bugs as he stepped out of the shadows, holding the bat, \u201cthis means war!\u201d That was when the Doctor\u2019s clippers got to work on Gossamer. All that was left was Gossamer\u2019s eyes and sneakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Good heavens, he really IS all hair!\u201d said the Doctor. She then noticed that the roar of battle had dimmed significantly. \u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Is that good or bad?\u201d asked Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCome on!\u201d called the Doctor as she ran to the command deck. Amy and Bugs joined her while Gossamer\u2019s eyes took control of the sneakers and headed off somewhere to reconstruct his hairy body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Doctor and her team burst into the command deck. \u201cSkaldak! Taxona!\u201d called the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019re here,\u201d replied Taxona. The Doctor gasped as she saw Taxona kneeling next to a gravely wounded Skaldak. The Ice Warrior Hero was still as stone. \u201c\u2026He intercepted a killing shot meant for me,\u201d explained Taxona sadly. \u201c\u2026He saved my life by sacrificing his.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026And Marvin?\u201d asked the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBeing tended to by our medics,\u201d replied Taxona. \u201cI need him healthy for what I\u2019m about to do to him and his ilk. He\u2019ll only wish I had killed him. He have to experience the embarrassment of reporting his failure to Tyr\u2019ahnee.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThen the revolution was a success,\u201d said the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd Skaldak will be honored properly once I\u2019m finished with Marvin.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A few hours later, the Ice Warriors formed an aisle leading to Marvin\u2019s ship, a golden rocket-style ship called the Martian Maggot<\/em>. Taxona and her people frog-marched Marvin and the surviving Instant Martians to the ship\u2019s airlock, then blocked any means of escape. \u201cOur two races would have made Mars stronger by working together,\u201d Taxona snarled at Marvin. \u201cYou and Tyr\u2019ahnee chose to treat us as cattle. Go. Tell Tyr\u2019ahnee that she and all those that rally to her cause are banished from Mars!\u201d Marvin briefly considered trying to escape, but with so many armed and angry Ice Warriors, there was too great a chance he would be killed in the confusion. He then spotted the Doctor blocking his escape route along with the Ice Warriors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cDon\u2019t look at me,\u201d said the Doctor. \u201cYour people\u2019s exile is a fixed point in Martian history. It\u2019s on you.\u201d With that, Marvin the Martian just fixed everyone with a glare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c\u2026Tyr\u2019ahnee won\u2019t take this lying down and neither will I, \u2018Your Majesty\u2019!\u201d he hissed at Taxona. \u201cInstant Martians, with me!\u201d The exiled Martians boarded the Martian Maggot<\/em> and it left the spaceport and Mars entirely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Taxona led the Doctor back to the TARDIS as Ice Warriors set it down carefully on the floor of the old command deck. \u201cI know that was all you asked of me,\u201d said Taxona, \u201cbut I would reward you handsomely for what you\u2019ve done for my people, Doctor, Miss Rose, Mr. Bunny.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cTrust me, freeing the TARDIS from that debris is more than enough,\u201d assured the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd all I need is a ride back home,\u201d said Bugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cVery well. But know this, by the Moons, all of Mars honors thee, Doctor!\u201d pledged Taxona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cBy the Moons, we honor thee, Empress Taxona,\u201d replied the Doctor. She and her friends entered the TARDIS and it dematerialized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The TARDIS returned to the American Woodlands that was Bugs\u2019 home, a few feet from his hole, even! Bugs stepped out. \u201cHey! Right back home!\u201d he said. \u201cYou girls sure you can\u2019t stay? I make a mean carrot juice!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThank you, Bugs,\u201d replied the Doctor, \u201cbut Amy and I need to take a vacation. We\u2019ll see you around, though not necessarily in the same order.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAll right.
