The Doctor and her group arrived in Sarasaland once again, this time with better heat protection. \u201cRight, I want to investigate this ziggurat that appeared out of nowhere,\u201d declared the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat for?\u201d asked Rosalina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBecause this feels similar to the Daleks\u2019 infiltration of Kar-Charrat,\u201d explained the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKar-Charrat? Did they discover the library there?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes, and it was lost in the confusion.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBlasted Daleks!\u201d hissed Rosalina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, blasted librarians too,\u201d remarked the Doctor. \u201cThey kidnapped the native aquatic life-form and wiped their minds to become part of their new wetworks store.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat?! Elgen would-?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe did, so I had to free them by allowing the library to be destroyed.\u201d At that moment, they arrived at the ziggurat Amy and her group found. \u201cAha!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoctor, it\u2019s open!\u201d yelped Mario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026From the inside,\u201d remarked Rosalina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI noticed that,\u201d said the Doctor. Her ears caught a familiar sound. \u201cAnd THAT\u2019S the pulsing noise you hear in all Dalek installations.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBut it looks so old!\u201d remarked Pauline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Daleks have time corridor technology,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cIt\u2019s more than likely that they sent this thing and its occupant to the distant past.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOccupant?\u201d asked Mario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis is actually a Dalek Deep Hibernation Unit. It\u2019s designed to put a Dalek into a form of stasis for long-term missions. Usually waiting for a time-sensitive person to be discovered.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBut what about the Dalek in my city?\u201d asked Pauline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI have a theory, but I need to get inside,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cCome on!\u201d The group entered the ziggurat. Rosalina whistled in amazement at all the equipment inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLook at all this!\u201d she said. \u201cHibernation equipment, nutrient feed, a short-range transmat! They packed a lot in here!\u201d The Doctor checked the computers monitoring everything and pulled up mission logs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAha!\u201d she said. \u201cPauline, Mario, that Dalek spotted in New Donk City? It\u2019s the same one as the occupant here! It used short-term time corridor technology to send itself and the equipment into Sarasaland\u2019s far distant past to pick up a time sensitive for some reason.\u201d She then found audio files and played them. The files were recordings of the arrival and departure noises of a TARDIS! \u201cAha! They were waiting for me! Now why would they need me, hm? And how would they lure me into their clutches?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Doctor, what\u2019s that pod?\u201d asked Mario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPod?\u201d asked the Doctor. She looked to see Mario pointing at some sort of pod with a clear lid. She checked the files on that machine and gasped in horror. \u201cA Dalek Duplication Pod! Oh no!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoctor?\u201d Rosalina sounded concerned now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s Amy and Luigi!\u201d explained the Doctor. \u201cI arrogantly assumed that the Daleks would be after me! But it\u2019s Amy and Luigi! They\u2019re Dalek Duplicates!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Observatory!\u201d realized Rosalina. She then tried to make contact. \u201cPolari! Do not let Amy and Luigi near any computer systems! They are Dalek Duplicates! \u2026Polari?! Polari, respond!\u201d Nothing came. \u201c\u2026We\u2019re too late!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the Observatory, Wario and Waluigi groaned as they woke up. Wario spoke in angry German before he sat up. \u201cWho hit me?!\u201d he demanded. \u201cWhat was the number of that truck?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cStop shouting!\u201d complained Waluigi. \u201cI\u2019ve got a splitting headache!\u201d He then looked at his surroundings. \u201c\u2026Hey, isn\u2019t this that space chick\u2019s home?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHey, yeah, you\u2019re right!\u201d replied Wario. \u201c\u2026All this technology! \u2026All that money!\u201d His eyes were filled with greed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd it\u2019s back to brass tacks,\u201d muttered Waluigi. He then spotted someone in the doorway. \u201c\u2026Hey, look! It\u2019s Greenie!\u201d he laughed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGreenie? Luigi?!\u201d yelped Wario. He turned around, then started laughing. \u201cSo, dumping that weed, huh? Dating the space babe?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou will follow me,\u201d replied \u201cLuigi\u201d in uncharacteristic coldness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026I\u2019m sorry, you seem to have forgotten THESE guns!\u201d laughed Wario as he flexed. \u201cLuigi\u201d then pulled Wario\u2019s arm behind his back and caused the fat Mario clone considerable pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou will obey all instructions or you will suffer,\u201d ordered \u201cLuigi\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHey! You can\u2019t do that!\u201d snarled Waluigi like a bully that had the tables turned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou will obey his instructions!\u201d barked a Dalek that glided up to them. \u201cObey! Obey! OBEY!\u201d Luigi frog-marched Wario to the observation deck with Waluigi herded there by the Dalek. The Dalek Supreme and \u201cAmy\u201d were overseeing the operation as Daleks swarmed the Observatory like locusts, herding the Lumas to the Terrace and surrounding the TARDIS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThese two,\u201d reported \u201cLuigi\u201d as he threw Wario at the Dalek Supreme\u2019s travel skirt bumper, \u201cwere part of an expedition in Sarasaland. Their purpose is unexplained.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Scout Dalek in the Hibernation Unit,\u201d recalled \u201cAmy\u201d, \u201creported two intruders. We simply used them as part of the bait that lured the Doctor to Sarasaland. They were identified by Mario as Wario and Waluigi.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou will explain your purpose here!\u201d the Dalek Supreme barked at the Wario Bros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe were recovering from that shot your friend gave us!\u201d snapped Waluigi. \u201cThose heroes let their bleeding hearts bring us here!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou will explain your purpose in Sarasaland!\u201d continued the Dalek Supreme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, we were looking to get a good tan and hot babes!\u201d replied Wario, somewhat untruthfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnswer the question,\u201d ordered \u201cAmy\u201d. She slapped Wario hard, sending him skidding across the deck. \u201cYou will answer questions truthfully or you will suffer.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou\u2019re not Sonic\u2019s fangirl!\u201d snarled Wario. \u201cAnd I\u2019ll bet that\u2019s not the real Luigi!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThese androids are products of superior Dalek duplication technology!\u201d said the Dalek Supreme. \u201cYou will answer all questions directly and truthfully! What was your purpose in Sarasaland?!\u201d Wario sighed as he ran out of options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe heard about the ziggurat and went to steal it so we could sell it,\u201d he answered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTruthful response detected!\u201d reported a Drone Dalek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHow many are you?\u201d continued the Dalek Supreme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFour,\u201d answered Wario. \u201cMe, Waluigi, and Dr. Crygor and Mona, my two employees. \u2026They fled to get me help after your buddy knocked us out.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTruthful response detected!\u201d reported the same Drone Dalek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThese two are no threat to Dalek operations,\u201d remarked Luigi\u2019s duplicate. \u201cThey are valueless.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI must disagree,\u201d replied Amy\u2019s duplicate. \u201cThey may be used by Science Division to test the upper limits of a 1-Up mushroom\u2019s resurrection abilities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn due course!\u201d said the Dalek Supreme. \u201cThere is another project that requires the Doctor\u2019s cooperation! Your basis comes from a world that does not have 1-Up mushrooms! She will be the main catalyst to ensure the Doctor\u2019s cooperation! Bring the Doctor\u2019s companion here!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI obey,\u201d replied Amy\u2019s duplicate. She headed off to obey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDoctor, what ARE you doing?!\u201d asked Pauline as the Doctor kicked the opened and scavenged control console.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cModifying the computer!\u201d replied the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWith your feet?\u201d quizzed Mario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere ARE a few universal truths, Mario,\u201d chuckled Rosalina as she remembered her own maintenance of the Observatory. \u201cOne of them is that every computer needs a good kicking when you\u2019re modifying it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHello, hello, hello!\u201d the Doctor said into a communications channel. \u201cCome in, please! Come in, Comet Observatory!\u201d An image of the Dalek Supreme then filled the screen. \u201cAh, the Dalek Supreme himself! We should be honored, everyone. This planet is very high on the Dalek Emperor\u2019s list of priorities. The Dalek Supreme\u2019s doing his own dirty work.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI will speak only to the Doctor!\u201d barked the Dalek Supreme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis is she,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cI call upon you to leave this planet and never return!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTerms unacceptable!\u201d dismissed the Dalek Supreme. \u201cThese are the Daleks\u2019 terms! You will surrender to us immediately! We have your TARDIS and your companions! The one identified as Amy Rose has not consumed any of the fungus known as 1-Up Mushrooms! If you do not surrender, she will be exterminated!\u201d To prove its point, the Dalek Supreme moved aside to reveal Amy on her knees with her hands bound behind her and held in place by her duplicate as well as Luigi\u2019s. The Dalek Supreme aimed its gunstick at Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDon\u2019t listen to it, Doctor! Get away!\u201d begged Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou have five rels to comply!\u201d warned the Dalek Supreme. \u201cFive!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoctor, she\u2019ll be killed!\u201d Mario hissed in worry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFour!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt could be a bluff!\u201d replied Rosalina. \u201cIt could be another duplicate!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThree!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat would they need another duplicate of Amy for?\u201d muttered the Doctor. \u201c\u2026We\u2019d best do as they say.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCan we trust them?!\u201d asked Pauline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe surrender!\u201d called the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNO!\u201d wailed Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou and your companions will step onto the transmat!\u201d ordered the Dalek Supreme. \u201cYou will be brought to the ship! You are now a prisoner of the Daleks!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt seems that way,\u201d sighed the Doctor. \u201cCome on, everyone.\u201d She brought everyone onto the transmat and they vanished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEnd communications channel!\u201d the Dalek Supreme ordered the Dalek Communications Officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI obey!\u201d it replied. The screen switched off. The Dalek Supreme swiveled its eyestalk to the duplicates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cReturn the Doctor\u2019s companion to the ship! She will serve as Science Division\u2019s control group when they start their experiments!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
