I don\u2019t believe we\u2019ve been properly introduced. I\u2019m the Doctor.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWario,\u201d replied Wario. \u201cAnd this is Waluigi.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat were you doing in Sarasaland?\u201d asked Daisy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey\u2019re green mushrooms that bring someone back to life after suffering fatal injuries,\u201d replied Pauline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOn top of that, we can breathe in space,\u201d commented Mario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cToo many chances for survival, as you can see, Doctor!\u201d said the Dalek Supreme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAll of those abilities come from the stellar power this sector of the universe and its people use, is that what your scientists discovered?\u201d asked the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCorrect!\u201d confirmed the Dalek Supreme. \u201cWe shall master this power!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd put it to helping the other races, I hope against hope?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDaleks are the superior species! It is our destiny to destroy and enslave all inferiors! IT IS OUR RIGHT!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRIGHT?!\u201d shouted the Doctor. \u201cTO DESTROY INDISCRIMINATELY?! TO TAKE WHAT OTHERS HAVE LABORED OVER FOR CENTURIES?! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT AT ALL!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYOU WILL SHOW MORE RESPECT TO THE DALEKS!\u201d The Dalek Supreme swiveled its eyestalk to the guard. \u201cI must report to Skaro about our success! You will keep them here until I summon for the Doctor!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI obey!\u201d replied the guard. The Dalek Supreme glided away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe\u2019s counting his troops before they\u2019re fully integrated with their casings,\u201d muttered the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoctor, how much research on 1-Ups do you think they stole?\u201d asked Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s probably why they need me,\u201d muttered the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s exactly why they need you, Doctor,\u201d remarked the guard. \u201cTheir scientific division can\u2019t fully make heads or tails of the notes, so they need you, much as it chafes them, to translate the notes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNot in the traditional sense,\u201d said the guard. It rotated so that the Doctor could see its backside. On one of its back slats was the Greek letter Phi. The Doctor goggled as she quickly put two and two together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026You\u2019re a-!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSSHSHSHSH!\u201d hissed the guard. \u201cNot yet! The other Daleks don\u2019t know!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoctor, what-?!\u201d asked Pauline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019ll explain later!\u201d replied the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the bridge, the Dalek Supreme stood before the main screen. \u201cDalek Supreme on Colony Nokiko to Emperor on Skaro!\u201d it said. A machine with a Dalek creature floating in a nutrient tank surrounded by large panels studded with sensor globes and a giant Dalek dome with lights and an eyestalk appeared. This was the Emperor Dalek in his stationary casing deep within the heart of the Dalek Capital City on Skaro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cReport!\u201d boomed the Emperor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Doctor has been captured! Her TARDIS is in our possession!\u201d reported the Dalek Supreme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cExcellent! Status of 1-Up Mushroom research!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cResearch proceeds at unacceptable rate thanks to coding from inferior life forms! The Doctor will assist in decoding the research! Her companion has not consumed a 1-Up mushroom, so she will be used as a hostage to ensure the Doctor\u2019s cooperation!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAll is proceeding as planned! Status of the False Dalek Fleet!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFalse Dalek Fleet still maintaining its hold on several worlds! No incursion into this sector of space detected, but sensor sweeps are being conducted!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe use of 1-Up mushrooms will give us the power needed to finally crush the Daleks that profess that the Human Factor has cured them!\u201d boomed the Emperor. \u201cWe shall use the power within the Power Stars, Power Moons, and Shine Sprites to utterly crush them! Bring the Doctor to me so I may tell her what is expected of her personally!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI obey!\u201d replied the Dalek Supreme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOooh! The pain!\u201d wailed Wario, pulling that tired old routine. \u201cGuard! Get help!\u201d The guard shook its dome from side to side, as if in boredom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPut a sock in it, Wario!\u201d complained Mario. \u201cThat\u2019s the dumbest routine ever!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Daleks usually kill the sick anyways,\u201d muttered the Doctor. Just then, Amy and Luigi\u2019s duplicates arrived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoctor,\u201d said Amy\u2019s duplicate, \u201cyou will come with us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTeatime already?\u201d asked the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMove out of the cell!\u201d ordered the guard as it lowered the forcefield and brandished its gunstick at everyone else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhere are you taking her?!\u201d demanded Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe need her scientific knowledge,\u201d replied Luigi\u2019s duplicate. The Doctor stepped out of the cell and the duplicates led her away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026The more I see our twins, Amy,\u201d shuddered Luigi, \u201cthe less I like us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe less I like us too,\u201d muttered Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Doctor was brought to the bridge. The Dalek Emperor was still on the screen. \u201cDoctor!\u201d greeted the Emperor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cUpgraded your throne, Your Majesty?\u201d teased the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou will not mock the Emperor!\u201d barked the Dalek Supreme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHer words are of no consequence!\u201d replied the Emperor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo, tell me, Emperor,\u201d said the Doctor, \u201cwhy are you lot here?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are engaged in a conflict with a faction of False Daleks!\u201d explained the Emperor. \u201cThey took advantage of the aftermath of our conflict with Octus\u2019 Daleks to strike Skaro and now we are at war with them!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd where did this faction of Renegade Daleks come from?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFrom YOU, Doctor!\u201d That puzzled the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFrom me? I\u2019m not Davros,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn your early conflicts with us, you failed to distill the Dalek Factor, did you not?\u201d asked the Emperor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, I see!\u201d recalled the Doctor. \u201cYou\u2019re fighting and losing against Daleks with the Human Factor!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTHAT IS A LIE!!\u201d shouted the Emperor as he thrashed in his nutrient tank, practically frothing with rage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDo not lie!\u201d barked the Dalek Supreme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDo not lie!\u201d agreed the Communications Dalek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDo not lie!\u201d supplied a Drone Dalek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are making a series of strategic withdrawals,\u201d explained the Emperor, \u201cto selected strongpoints! We shall use this planet as a launch point of our final assault against the Humanized Daleks!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEmperor,\u201d said the Doctor, \u201cthat\u2019s the hollow rhetoric of a defeated dictator and I don\u2019t much like your face either.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
