All that told me is that a Dalek has to see its target for it to properly calibrate its gunstick.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI guess I have a condolence letter to write,\u201d muttered Bowser. \u201c\u2026He\u2019ll be avenged.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe have to play this smart,\u201d said Amy. \u201cThe Daleks are clever and it\u2019s more than likely they\u2019re going to figure that blind weakness out.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDoctor?\u201d asked Peach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMeanwhile, the Dalek Factor,\u201d supplied Phi, \u201cis marked by blind obedience and destruction of all that is non-Dalek.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Dalek Emperor,\u201d continued the Doctor, \u201cwanted me to spread the Dalek Factor throughout the human race. I turned the tables and introduced the Human Factor into several Daleks. \u2026But if a Dalek already imbued with the Dalek Factor got a further taste of it\u2026no wonder the Emperor\u2019s locked Omega up. That kind of research\u2026yikes!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat, would a Dalek with an enhanced Dalek Factor be more murder happy?\u201d asked Bowser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s the theory,\u201d replied the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIs the False Dalek Leader still under heavy guard?\u201d asked the Emperor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes! But all probable outcomes indicate that the Doctor and her companions will free him!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhere is Omega imprisoned?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cInside the Birabuto Kingdom of Sarasaland! The heat will be a deterrent for organic life!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cUnacceptable!\u201d boomed the Emperor, surprising the Dalek Supreme. \u201cThe Daleks there are using normal Dalekanium shells, are they not?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCorrect!\u201d replied the Dalek Supreme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThen they will be cooked inside their casings!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cForgive the contradiction, but the duplicates have a Metalert endoskeleton! They will be more efficient in defeating the Doctor!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAgreed!\u201d said the Emperor. \u201cProceed!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI obey!\u201d replied the Dalek Supreme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Daisy had recovered and was filled in on the plan once she was checked over. \u201cAnd here we are again, back at the ziggurat,\u201d muttered Amy. The Doctor was checking over the systems for any signs of Omega.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCramped!\u201d muttered Bowser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt WAS meant for a Scout Dalek and whatever prisoners it could get,\u201d remarked Phi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhy did you insist on going in first?\u201d asked Daisy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBecause my casing is made of Dalekanium,\u201d replied Phi. \u201cThe desert\u2019s heat would cook me inside my casing. If the casing was made of Metalert, I\u2019d be okay.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI think I heard about Metalert,\u201d remarked the Doctor. \u201cThat\u2019s what Dalek ships are made of, yes?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYep! Discovered by a Dalek Scientist during our early years, it can resist extreme heat, acid, and mercury! \u2026Though it IS vulnerable to extreme cold like liquid oxygen. Supposedly, there was a famous Dalek during the Time War that had a Metalert casing, some Black Dalek that had a name. \u2026Sug\u2026Seg\u2026Sud\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSec!\u201d said the Doctor. \u201cDalek Sec of the Cult of Skaro!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026You actually MET the Cult of Skaro?\u201d asked Phi. The ziggurat then shook. \u201cWhoa! What\u2019s with the earthquake?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAha! Something else the ziggurat was meant for!\u201d chuckled the Doctor. The Mario Bros looked outside to see a smaller ziggurat rising to the surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoctor, how many of those are there?!\u201d gulped Luigi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cJust that one,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cAnd it\u2019s meant to hold a prisoner.\u201d A shaded ceiling extended from the main ziggurat to the smaller one as the door to the smaller one opened. Out glided a Dalek with the capital Greek letter Omega around its eyestalk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Oooggg,\u201d groaned the Dalek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cElder Omega!\u201d whispered Phi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Ph\u2026Phi?\u201d asked Omega.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIs it really you?\u201d asked the Doctor. \u201cOmega?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Doctor!\u201d realized Omega. \u201cStill alive, Savior!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSavior?\u201d asked Amy. \u201cI didn\u2019t realize you became a god for Humanized Daleks.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI don\u2019t really like that title,\u201d remarked the Doctor. \u201c\u2026And after that mess that got Omega\u2019s brother, Alpha, killed, I\u2026hang on, Omega, do you know about Alpha?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat he and his colony were tricked by Kata-Phobus into being its telepathic food source, so they all self-destructed? Yes, Doctor, I know. And I know of your involvement in that incident. Beta told me everything last time you visited him and explained why you had to break your promise to Alpha. \u2026While I don\u2019t like that you did that, Alpha shouldn\u2019t have held those colonists as hostage and, ultimately, a greater danger was what took Alpha\u2019s life, not you. Do not blame yourself for Alpha\u2019s death. He died defending others from a threat that would have killed them and the colonists.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Thank you, Omega. \u2026But Beta learned about it a year after the incident, that was centuries ago. When did you learn about it?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDalek Phi, what you did was augment his pain!\u201d snarled the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoctor, Elder, I-!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s enough!\u201d snapped Amy. \u201cPhi, what you did was cowardly, but we\u2019ll discuss that later! Omega, do you still have that Dalek Factor plan in place?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI take it the Doctor gave you all the specifics?\u201d asked Omega. Everyone confirmed it. \u201cWell, I do.\u201d Omega opened his casing and pulled out a small device. \u201cThis shielded positronic brain contains the Dalek Factor. It must be installed on the bridge of the Dalek ship. The Skaro Daleks already fear it as it is.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhy?\u201d asked Bowser. \u201cIf it makes them deadlier-.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe cost is too high for the Skaro Daleks,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cOn top of their predilection for purity-.\u201d She stopped when she heard the transmat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWho-?!\u201d asked Pauline. That\u2019s when Luigi\u2019s Duplicate grabbed her by the throat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPAULINE!\u201d shouted Mario. Amy\u2019s Duplicate then threw Mario aside before leveling a laser pistol at Pauline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cToo late, Doctor,\u201d said the Amy Duplicate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAlmost, Doctor, but not quite,\u201d taunted the Luigi Duplicate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLet her go!\u201d demanded the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd lose our advantage?\u201d purred the Amy Duplicate. \u201cHumanoids do not react well to the effects of Dalek gunsticks. \u2026Obey our instructions, or Mayor Pauline is exterminated.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe have the means to read how many lives she has left,\u201d chuckled the Luigi Duplicate. \u201cYou had 42 1-Ups recently, did you not, Your Honor?\u201d Pauline gasped for air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019ll shoot!\u201d threatened Omega.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd kill her?\u201d chuckled Amy\u2019s Duplicate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Power your gunstick down, Omega,\u201d sighed the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSurrender the Dalek Factor Positronic Brain,\u201d ordered Luigi\u2019s Duplicate. \u201cWe cannot risk the Dalek Factor being enhanced.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBELAY THAT!\u201d shouted Phi as he raised his gunstick. \u201cI have a mission to complete!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou will do as your Elder had done and power down your wea-!\u201d Amy\u2019s Duplicate couldn\u2019t complete her order as Phi shot her and Luigi\u2019s Duplicate in the face. Luigi\u2019s Duplicate dropped Pauline and the real Luigi and Mario got her to safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThank you!\u201d panted Pauline. Then, like sci-fi horror villains, the Amy and Luigi Duplicates turned to reveal the hole blown in their external skin covering, showing off their inner workings. They locked onto Phi, grabbing him!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cInferior, emotionally-driven False Daleks against superior Dalek technology,\u201d said Amy\u2019s Duplicate. \u201cFoolish hatchling.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFalse Daleks,\u201d scoffed Luigi\u2019s Duplicate. \u201cSo fragile. All I have to do\u2026is punch through\u2026\u201d he did so, \u201cand you die like so!\u201d He then tore Phi out of his casing violently. Phi spasmed in pain before shutting down completely and was tossed aside like trash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
