A man in a green outfit knelt by a person. \u201c\u2026This one\u2019s gone,\u201d he muttered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDoesn\u2019t look like many survivors this time,\u201d sighed a woman in yellow<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cCome on, we\u2019re already overdue for check-in anyways,\u201d remarked the leader, a woman in red..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhy did this have to happen?\u201d asked a woman in pink<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhy does anything happen?\u201d replied the last man in blue as the team packed up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI don\u2019t like it,\u201d muttered the woman in yellow. \u201cThe Stookies haven\u2019t attacked for months.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou must have talked with Banza,\u201d remarked the woman in red.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe\u2019re good here,\u201d reported the man in green.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cRight. Rangers, return to base,\u201d ordered the woman in red. The team hopped onto dragon-themed motorcycles and took off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In another part of the city, the TARDIS materialized. The Doctor and Amy stepped out and their faces fell with disappointment. \u201cEye of Orion, huh?\u201d asked Amy sarcastically. \u201cGreenest planet in the universe?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI must have missed a time track exit,\u201d muttered the Doctor. \u201cSorry about that. \u2026You know, this really is most peculiar.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhat is?\u201d asked Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe buildings,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cI swear I saw them before in their pristine state. I suppose we\u2019d better look around. But be careful.\u201d As the Doctor began to walk away, she heard Amy yelp in surprise and disgust. \u201cI DID say be careful.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYeah, but I wasn\u2019t expecting to step on a policeman\u2019s dead body!\u201d gagged Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cShow me,\u201d directed the Doctor. Amy pointed at the dead policeman. The Doctor knelt down and began examining it. \u201c\u2026Curious,\u201d she muttered. \u201cThis one\u2019s still a bit warm. Must be a recent death.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere\u2019s a gun in his hand,\u201d observed Amy. The Doctor noticed the angle. She looked at the side of the head and sighed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026Poor devil,\u201d she muttered. \u201cDespair took him over. He sought an end to it all.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSuicide? \u2026If I sound insensitive, say so, but given the environment\u2026\u201d Amy looked up at the dark sky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNo, you\u2019re probably right,\u201d sighed the Doctor. \u201c\u2026The gun\u2019s police-issue and so\u2019s the uniform.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhat about that wallet?\u201d asked Amy. She pointed out a pocket with a wallet sticking out. The Doctor took the wallet and opened it. The ID and Warrant Card said the man was Jonathan Tennant, aged 60, joined the police in January of <a>5,000,000,123<\/a>, and that the police force he worked for was the NNYPD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNNYPD!\u201d gasped the Doctor. \u201cThis was a New New York Policeman!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNew New York?\u201d asked Amy. \u201cAre we on New Earth?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYes, and now I know why the buildings looked so familiar! I\u2019ve been here in New New York quite a few times!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHis Warrant Card said he joined in 5,000,000,123.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYes, probably in his 20\u2019s,\u201d remarked the Doctor. \u201cHe\u2019s been a policeman for about 40 years, his entire working life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSo that would make it\u20265,000,000,163 this year, right?\u201d guessed Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIndeed,\u201d said the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSo not that far off from when I joined you and William in the TARDIS. You know, New Earth DID quarantine itself five years ago.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cQuarantine?\u201d asked the Doctor. \u201cAgain?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNothing related to diseases,\u201d assured Amy, \u201cbut containing some threat that they couldn\u2019t risk letting out among the other colonies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWell, we\u2019re in your time period, just another part of the galaxy,\u201d remarked the Doctor, \u201cso there\u2019s no risk of temporal cultural contamination. Let\u2019s see-.\u201d She stopped herself when she heard motorcycles approaching. Amy picked up on the noise and both she and the Doctor were surrounded by the people in spandex! \u201c\u2026Power Rangers?!\u201d gasped the Doctor. \u201cThe Dragon Warrior Iteration?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWho are you?\u201d asked the Red Dragon Ranger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe\u2019re travelers,\u201d explained Amy. \u201cWe-.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou\u2019re a Mobian!\u201d yelped the Pink Dragon Ranger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhat in blue blazes are you doing on New Earth?!\u201d demanded the Blue Dragon Ranger. \u201cThis planet is under strict quarantine!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cLook, perhaps we can help,\u201d offered the Doctor. \u201cI\u2019m the Doctor and that\u2019s Amy Rose.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAmy Rose? Sonic\u2019s fangirl?\u201d asked the Yellow Dragon Ranger. Amy summoned her hammer. \u201c\u2026Yeah, that checks out,\u201d remarked the Yellow Dragon Ranger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAnd you\u2019re a medic like me?\u201d asked the Green Dragon Ranger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWell, a scientist of all trades, but I do have medical knowledge, yes,\u201d said the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou better come with us, then,\u201d said the Red Dragon Ranger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWait, what about this poor man?!\u201d asked Amy as she pointed out the late Officer Jonathan Tennant. The Blue Dragon Ranger\u2019s shoulders slouched and he examined the body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026I\u2019m sorry, Grandpa Jonny,\u201d he sighed once he finished. He looked up at the Doctor and Amy. \u201cI doubt you two did it. The evidence points to suicide.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou called him Grandpa-,\u201d recalled the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOfficer Tennant was Albert\u2019s grandfather,\u201d interjected the Red Dragon Ranger. \u201cA major hero for him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026I\u2019m sorry,\u201d said the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhy? You\u2019re not the one responsible for New Earth\u2019s current hellscape,\u201d replied Albert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cLook, we better take these two to Banza,\u201d said the Green Dragon Ranger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBanza?\u201d asked the Doctor. \u201c\u2026I swear I heard that name before.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAre those the latest enemy movements?\u201d asked an old man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYes, General Banza,\u201d replied a feminine looking robot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAll right. Keep me posted,\u201d said Banza. \u201cI\u2019ll have a look. Oh, have you heard from the Rangers yet? They\u2019re overdue for check-.\u201d A buzzer sounded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBanza, this is Red Dragon Tanya,\u201d came the voice of the Red Dragon Ranger. \u201cApologies for lateness, but patrol turned up two people, a human and a Mobian Hedgehog. Specifically, a doctor and Amy Rose.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhat?! Are they with you now?!\u201d asked Banza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYes, Sir,\u201d replied Tanya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBring them in!\u201d Banza ended the call.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHow on earth did Amy get here?\u201d remarked the robot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMaiden, come with me,\u201d ordered Banza. \u201cWe need answers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYes, General,\u201d replied the robot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Power Rangers brought the Doctor and Amy into the command center. The Doctor recognized it as New New York\u2019s Senate Building. \u201cAre there any survivors in the Undercity and the Motorway?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere\u2019s survivors from all the districts,\u201d replied Tanya. \u201cThey\u2019ve congregated here in the old Senate Building. We\u2019re using as a command center right now.\u201d She and the Rangers were waved through after talking with the guards. They then arrived in a makeshift hangar. \u201cAll right, power down,\u201d Tanya ordered the Rangers. They pressed a button on their wrist devices and pulled out keys shaped like dragons. Tanya was of African descent, Jonny\u2019s grandson was as Irish as Jonny was, the Yellow Ranger was a blonde, the Green Ranger was a brunette man, and the Pink Ranger had her hair dyed pink. \u201cAll right, time to for introductions,\u201d said Tanya. \u201cI\u2019m Tanya, the boy in blue is Albert, the blonde is Ashley, Green Guy\u2019s Doctor Davis, and Pinky\u2019s called Poppy. Now, where\u2019s Maiden?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMaiden,\u201d replied Banza as he arrived, \u201cis with me. So, survivors made you late, Tanya?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWell, later than usual, yes,\u201d replied Tanya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOh, you\u2019ve got to be kidding!\u201d complained the Doctor when she saw Banza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDoctor?\u201d asked Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDoctor?\u201d repeated Banza. He then realized something and groaned. \u201cOh, no wonder Amy\u2019s here! You blundered into this specific point in space-time, didn\u2019t you, Doctor?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAmy Rose, this is General Banza. He\u2019s a Time Lord,\u201d explained the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cLike you?\u201d asked Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNo, NOT like me!\u201d hissed the Doctor. \u201cHe\u2019s a member of the now-defunct Celestial Intervention Agency! Self-serving and avaricious!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAnother Time Lord?\u201d asked Tanya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSo Banza\u2019s NOT the last?\u201d asked Poppy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou know what happened?\u201d quizzed the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe all do,\u201d replied Davis. \u201cBut he said he was the last.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cApparently I was wrong,\u201d said Banza. \u201cBut if you\u2019re here, Doctor-,\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDon\u2019t get your hopes up,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cRassilon\u2019s still working on trying to get our people and planet back.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSo he can turn us into the Daleks\u2019 replacement?!\u201d snarled Banza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNot this time,\u201d assured the Doctor. \u201cWhy don\u2019t we have a chat? Telepathically? It\u2019s quite a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026Very well. Contact.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cContact.\u201d The two Time Lords had their telepathic conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026It involves an adventure with the founder of Time Lord Society and her becoming a saner, more noble woman in the process,\u201d Amy explained to the Rangers. The two Time Lords opened their eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSo Gallifrey is being rebuilt by her alone, Doctor?\u201d asked Banza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI told her to call me for help if needed,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cIt\u2019s a good thing she got the transduction barriers set up first.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNo kidding. I\u2019d do the same if I knew there were Dalek Temporal Spies. \u2026Well, let\u2019s not worry about Gallifrey\u2019s predicament, perhaps we should bring you into the current picture.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYes, I thought I saw a brief image of a monster,\u201d remarked the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe\u2019ve taken to calling them Stookies,\u201d explained Banza. \u201cThey\u2019re sent out by a resurrected Rita Repulsa, but their creator is a Celestial obsessed with play.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cObsessed with\u2026no!\u201d Horror crossed the Doctor\u2019s face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYes, Doctor. She\u2019s acting like <em>Pinocchio<\/em>\u2019s Blue Fairy, but it\u2019s really-.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Celestial Toymaker!\u201d hissed the Doctor.
