The singularity bomb went off and you were at ground zero! That is categorical fact!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTherefore all elephants are pink,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cLet\u2019s just say Rassilon\u2019s paranoia played in our favor.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026So it really IS you, Doctor!\u201d hissed the Master.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI stand here before you,\u201d said the Doctor. \u201cCome on, Master. Give it up. You\u2019ve lost.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m not beaten yet, Doctor!\u201d The Master had his finger over the button. \u201cIf you don\u2019t back off and allow me to take control of Gallifrey, I\u2019ll wipe the Matrix of every single Time Lord! Gallifrey will never come back!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMaster, you can\u2019t do that! It\u2019s inhuman!\u201d urged Rassilon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNo one in this room is human, Rassilon!\u201d snarled the Master. \u201cSpack off or Gallifrey\u2019s death is a permanent one!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou\u2019ve forgotten one thing, Master,\u201d chuckled the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAnd that is?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026Where\u2019s Amy?\u201d The Master blinked at the Doctor\u2019s question, then realized Amy was missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWait, where\u2019s the hedge-?!\u201d He got his answer as Amy rang his bell with her hammer. He spun a few times before falling to the ground. At that moment, Rassilon and the Doctor got to work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cFeeding in all data concerning those that wish to come back!\u201d reported Rassilon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTransferring data to the Looms!\u201d replied the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cGrandfather, the Eye-!\u201d warned Susan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOh, blast!\u201d hissed the Doctor. She quickly finished what the Master did in connecting the Eye. \u201cRomana! Lurra Rus! Energy output!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cInitial run is stable!\u201d replied Romana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cFlux comparative\u2019s running at 4.6!\u201d reported Lurra Rus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAs the original did when it was connected!\u201d replied Rassilon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c4.9\u20263.2\u20268.6\u20269.5\u20264.6 again!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNOW!\u201d called Rassilon as she pulled the switch. The new Eye glowed brightly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cFirst one\u2019s coming!\u201d called the Doctor as she looked on the monitor giving her a view of the Looms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Looms, one of Gallifrey\u2019s methods of reproduction outside of the natural way, weave strands of Time Lord DNA together and give a Time Lord a full set of 13 lives. Ordinarily, they would start as children, but Rassilon circumvented that bit and out stepped a portly adult with short, thin, gray hair and a goatee. He looked sternly at his surroundings, then checked himself out, making sure his limbs were working. He then spotted a gold helmet with a feather on top and tucked it under his arm. He then activated a communicator. \u201cChancellery Guard Commander Maxil, reporting,\u201d he said in crisp military fashion. \u201cAdult looming successful. Full set of lives confirmed. Awaiting orders.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMAXIL?!\u201d protested the Doctor. \u201cWhy was HE the test subject?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe volunteered, Doctor, when no one else did,\u201d replied Rassilon. The Master then groaned and looked around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026NO!\u201d he shouted as he leapt at the controls, but it was no good! He was still too dizzy from that hammer blow and was easily tripped up by Susan\u2019s leg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cGoing somewhere, my dear Uncle?\u201d she asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou little-! That was my victory, Doctor, and you stole it from me!\u201d snarled the Master as he was roughly pulled up to his feet by Romana and Lurra Rus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou pretty much stranded me and my companions on Gallifrey, so there\u2019s your consolation prize,\u201d replied the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTHAT\u2019S NOT EVEN A MERE PARTICIPATION TROPHY!\u201d roared the Master. He then whirled out of Romana and Lurra Rus\u2019 grasp and pointed a black rod with a hemisphere on top at Lurra Rus while wrapping an arm around her neck. \u201cNow, I will be leaving Gallifrey! I will be taking the formula with me! And I will become the sole Lord of Time!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHow?\u201d asked the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou forget, Doctor! The Sontaran Temporal Scout Ship!\u201d He was then clubbed in the back of the head with a staser pistol. Maxil then kicked away the rod and put handcuffs on the Master.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI saw an explosion where the Temporal Scout Ship was,\u201d he reported. \u201cThe Sontarans must have noticed the singularity bomb\u2019s detonation and guessed that everyone died in the temporal fallout, so they cut their losses.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cLet me just check,\u201d said the Doctor as she worked the nearby console. \u201c\u2026Confirmed. The Sontarans fled. And we can rebuild unmolested.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019ll organize rebuilding teams immediately,\u201d said Maxil. \u201cJust as soon as I get this one to the cells.\u201d He dragged the Master away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The restoration of Gallifrey was taking several months. Thankfully, all the Gallifreyans that wished to come back were restored. The Doctor was busy working on something in the Lord President\u2019s office. Speaking of the Lord President, a Time Lady in white and gold robes with a white and gold Time Lord Collar and a white and gold skullcap entered the office. \u201cStill working, Grandfather?\u201d asked the Time Lady. The Doctor looked up to see that it was Susan wearing the Presidential Robes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNo, just finishing up one job,\u201d sighed the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAnd looking to find another, hm?\u201d guessed Susan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou know me,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cWithout the TARDIS, I have to keep busy somehow, otherwise the grief will kill me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cGrandfather, there IS a reason I was looking for you,\u201d said Susan. \u201cIt also connects to why I\u2019m wearing these uncomfortable things.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m not a fan of parties, Susan. That hasn\u2019t changed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNo, no, just a small ceremony. One I came up with, the Chesterton Ceremony.\u201d The Doctor smiled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHe\u2019d be honored to know his favorite student named a ceremony after him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cCome on, Grandfather,\u201d urged Susan. \u201cWe\u2019re waiting for you in the Panopticon.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Doctor and Susan made their way to the Panopticon. The Doctor saw Rassilon, Romana, Amy, and Lurra Rus alongside several Time Lords in the robes of the heads of the Great Houses of Gallifrey. In the center of the Panopticon was a tall, silver cylinder with a door in front. \u201cA new TARDIS?\u201d the Doctor asked Susan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAs a thank you for saving Gallifrey,\u201d replied Susan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026It\u2019s going to take some getting used to,\u201d remarked the Doctor. \u201c\u2026Thank you, Susan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cStep inside, Doctor, Amy, Lurra Rus,\u201d directed Rassilon. She handed the Doctor a set of keys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026Hang on, these are the keys to a Type 40,\u201d said the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTry them out,\u201d replied Romana. The Doctor inserted one of the keys into a keyhole and the TARDIS door opened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026You\u2019ve made a newly built TARDIS work on Type 40 keeeee\u2026\u201d The Doctor blinked when she saw the console room. \u201c\u2026That\u2019s a standard Type 40 Console!\u201d she said. She rushed to the console and examined it. \u201c\u2026I don\u2019t\u2026I mean, this feels like\u2026one second!\u201d She then put her hands on the telepathic circuits and\u2026memories of a certain Type 40 flooded her brain! Memories of the greatest moments in the Doctor\u2019s life in the original TARDIS! \u2026In THIS TARDIS! \u201cI don\u2019t believe it!\u201d she whispered. \u201cThis isn\u2019t A TARDIS! It\u2019s THE TARDIS! MY TARDIS! But she feels like she was just newly built! Like she just rolled off the assembly line!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTechnically speaking, Grandfather, she is,\u201d replied Susan. \u201cAs we were taking the original ship to be scrapped respectfully, I noticed something under the console. I bent down and saw a new TARDIS heart, then it greeted me like an old friend! It was the TARDIS\u2019 Heart, but newly grown! The original Heart had grown a fragment of crystal inside the console and made a new singularity for its core, then it accepted its fate to become the new Eye of Harmony! The new Eye won\u2019t remember you anymore, but it didn\u2019t want you to be alone, so it made itself a new body and we dusted off the plans for the Type 40! That\u2019s why it took several months! We needed it to be a top of the line Type 40! Behold, Grandfather, your TARDIS reloomed like the Time Lords!\u201d At that moment, the Doctor wrapped Susan in a hug, happy tears rolling down her eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c\u2026Thank you, Susan,\u201d she said, \u201cfor making this stupid old buffer a very happy Time Lord!\u201d She released Susan from the hug. \u201c\u2026Are you sure you\u2019re okay? With me running off like that?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou do your best work for the universe when you travel, Grandfather,\u201d replied Susan. \u201cAnd you\u2019ve put in enough repair work for Gallifrey. We\u2019re all quite sure.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIn that case, I must be off,\u201d said the Doctor. \u201cAmy, we still have a small paradox to resolve and Lurra Rus, we need to find you a new home!\u201d The Doctor began working the controls, then gave a smile to Susan as she was leaving the TARDIS. \u201c\u2026Call me when Gallifrey is threatened, you hear?\u201d she directed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNaturally, Grandfather,\u201d replied Susan as she departed. \u201cGoodbye!\u201d The TARDIS door shut behind Susan. With that, the Doctor pulled on the take-off lever!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Time Vortex swirled in its usual manner. As it carried on, a strange object appeared. It looked like it was from Earth, specifically 1960\u2019s London. Upon closer examination, it was a London Metropolitan Police Public Call Box with the lamp on top flashing as the box spun. Reloomed and returned to her preferred shape, the TARDIS spun through the Time Vortex, ready to bring the Doctor to who knows where and when!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201c\u2026No!\u201d breathed the Master in disbelief. \u201cNo, you\u2019re all dead!
