\u201cBanjo Bottom ordered your destruction!\u201d replied Donkey Kong. \u201cI must obey!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBut King K. Rool\u2019s pulling the strings!\u201d urged Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNO MORE LIES!\u201d shouted Donkey Kong as he slammed the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Diddy Kong fired on Lurra Rus. His guns fired oversized peanuts that exploded on contact. Lurra Rus managed to dodge. \u201cOf all the times to wear a dress that restricts my running!\u201d she grumbled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cStand still and let me shoot you!\u201d insisted Diddy Kong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019d rather not!\u201d Lurra Rus continued dodging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Doctor had to wonder what kind of fighting style Cranky Kong was using, because he was keeping up with her Venusian Aikido! \u201cYou young whippersnapper!\u201d taunted Cranky Kong. \u201cUsing a throw-centered fighting style on a primate! How stupid can you get?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI assure you, there\u2019s a method to my madness,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cSince I\u2019m losing to you, might as well tell me how that hypnosis works. You know, tell me how your masters are controlling you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe song\u2019s carrying their psychic control into my mind!\u201d answered Cranky Kong. \u201cYou can\u2019t undo it without whacking my masters and I\u2019m not gonna let you do that!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, it seems I have to treat a symptom before attacking the problem itself,\u201d muttered the Doctor. She then pulled out a rod with a switch near the top. The top had a wide light lens and a few buttons on the handle. The handle looked like it had a copper wire curled around it. The Doctor flicked the switch and a strange buzzing noise filled the air. Cranky Kong clapped his hands over his ears, but the buzzing still entered his mind! \u201cCranky Kong, listen to me!\u201d urged the Doctor. \u201cI\u2019m trying to disrupt the sonic control the Tiki Tak commanders have over your mind! You need to fight their psychic control! Their orders have no substance! No reason!\u201d Cranky Kong strained as the Doctor\u2019s device continued buzzing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cERGH! ARGH! G-GET\u2026GET OUT OF MY HEAD!\u201d Cranky Kong shouted, then collapsed. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong saw Cranky collapse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGRANDPA!\u201d shouted Donkey Kong. He was about to land a haymaker on the Doctor, but she used her device to increase the buzzing\u2019s volume. This time, Donkey and Diddy heard it and strained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cListen to me!\u201d urged the Doctor. \u201cThe Tiki Tak Tribe\u2019s hypnosis is dependent on music activating your brain\u2019s pleasure centers! I\u2019m blocking out the sound, but you must fight their psychic control! They\u2019re weaker than you! Smaller than you! You can fight them! You can win against them!\u201d The two Kongs held their heads, then shouted before collapsing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All three Kongs groaned as they woke up. \u201cOog\u2026my head!\u201d grumbled Donkey Kong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHow are you three feeling?\u201d asked the Doctor. Diddy Kong blinked, then realized something.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026It\u2019s gone,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat is?\u201d asked Cranky Kong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe music. Can\u2019t you hear it?\u201d asked Diddy Kong. Cranky listened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026No, I can\u2019t!\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNeither can I,\u201d said Donkey Kong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoctor, that device you had,\u201d said Lurra Rus, \u201cit\u2019s some form of sonic device?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDid you make some sort of counter-frequency?\u201d asked Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes to both questions,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cI built this during the rebuilding of Gallifrey. You know, when I thought the TARDIS was dead and I needed something to take my mind off it. In any event, the counter-frequency will block out the altered Tiki Tak music unless they use a new frequency.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, we better get to Tiki Tong\u2019s base and teach him a thing or two!\u201d declared Donkey Kong as he punched his hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBut King K. Rool\u2019s sure to be there!\u201d replied Diddy Kong. \u201cWhat if he has the other Kongs under his control?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019ll cross that bridge when we come to it,\u201d answered the Doctor. \u201cRight now, we have a volcano to climb.\u201d Donkey Kong then spotted something. He then grinned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhy climb when we can fly?\u201d he asked. He pointed at a barrel that had a rocket thruster, guidance fins around the bottom, and a small nosecone at the top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026What is that?\u201d asked the Doctor, already guessing what it is and what it does.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA rocket barrel?\u201d quizzed Amy. \u201cDK, we can\u2019t all fit on that!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cActually, give me a sec!\u201d replied Diddy Kong. \u201cI can reinforce it and alter it so that we go straight to Tiki Tong\u2019s base!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRocket barrels!\u201d scoffed Cranky Kong. \u201cIn my day, we had to walk uphill both ways to get around the island!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019re pressed for time, sir,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cCome on, Diddy Kong. Let\u2019s get to it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The rocket barrel was modified, but Diddy Kong looked worried. \u201cI dunno,\u201d he said. \u201cI know I said it could be done, but I wish we conducted some tests first.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere\u2019s no time to do this by the book, I\u2019m sorry to say,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cRight, all aboard!\u201d Everyone hopped onto the rocket barrel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPriming ignition sequence,\u201d said Diddy Kong. \u201cAdjusting trajectory.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSonic ignitor ready,\u201d reported the Doctor. \u201cAdjusting frequency on the Sonic.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026I feel like there\u2019s a word missing from Sonic,\u201d remarked Amy. \u201cAnd I\u2019m not talking about a certain blue hedgehog.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes, sonic what, Doctor?\u201d asked Lurra Rus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s just sonic,\u201d replied the Doctor, deliberately avoiding answering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSonic what?\u201d asked Cranky Kong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s just sonic! I\u2019m all sonic\u2019d up!\u201d insisted the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSonic what?!\u201d asked Donkey Kong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSCREWDRIVER!\u201d snapped the Doctor. That was when the rocket barrel fired and launched its passengers towards the volcano, screaming!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The rocket barrel flew into the giant tiki totem\u2019s mouth and its passengers jumped off before it exploded. Inside, it was very dark. \u201c\u2026That\u2026was hair-raising!\u201d shuddered Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI don\u2019t think I want to do\u2026ANY of that again!\u201d agreed Lurra Rus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAh, you\u2019re babies!\u201d chuckled Donkey Kong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Okay, I admit, you kids knew what you were doing when you made the rocket barrel,\u201d said Cranky Kong. \u201cBut there IS one tool I need to complain about! A sonic screwdriver?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI gotta agree with Cranky Kong on this one!\u201d said Amy as she faced the Doctor. \u201cDo you Time Lords just look at a screwdriver and think \u2018This could be more sonic\u2019?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat, you\u2019ve never been bored?!\u201d argued the Doctor. \u201cYou never had to assemble a bunch of cabinets?! Besides, a sonic screwdriver is more than just a screwdriver! It\u2019s a lockpick, a scanner, a remote control, it\u2019s a Swiss Army Knife, just without the knife bit as knives are seriously uncool.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI beg to differ, Doctor!\u201d called King K. Rool\u2019s voice. The lights switched on to reveal King K. Rool and a massive floating tiki head with a crown and red dots for angry eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere they are!\u201d snarled Donkey Kong. \u201cKing K. Rool and Tiki Tong!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo, you\u2019re the main leader of the Tiki Tak Tribe?\u201d the Doctor asked Tiki Tong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd you\u2019re the Time Lord I heard about!\u201d replied Tiki Tong. \u201cWas that your TARDIS my troops knocked out of the sky?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes, and I\u2019m rather annoyed at that. First you try to hypnotize me, then you attack my ship as if it were a UFO!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cConsidering how dangerous you are, I\u2019m not too concerned!\u201d dismissed Tiki Tong. \u201cAfter all, you Time Lords destroyed our original homeworld!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI beg your pardon?\u201d asked the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDon\u2019t tell me you\u2019ve never heard of Polymela.\u201d The Doctor\u2019s eyes widened as she recalled the mission. She wasn\u2019t involved, but she DID try to warn the High Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Sir, the loss of your home is on Time Lord hands, there\u2019s no denying it,\u201d she said, \u201cbut enslaving an island won\u2019t bring it back!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSee, I\u2019m actually FINE with the loss of Polymela,\u201d said Tiki Tong. \u201cConsidering that if it were brought back, the Polymela Council would have executed me and my commanders for using our psychic and sonic abilities as we do! Who do you think told the Time Lords that the Daleks were building a weapons factory there?! It was the only way to destroy my rivals!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026What?!\u201d By now, the Doctor\u2019s blood boiled! \u201cYou\u2026used us\u2026to commit genocide!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFascinating, I\u2019m sure,\u201d dismissed King K. Rool. \u201cHowever, we have more important matters to attend to!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI know we agreed on revenge against the Kongs,\u201d said Tiki Tong, \u201cbut silencing the Time Lord so she can\u2019t do anything is more important.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMy dear Tiki Tong, you speak as though you have a choice! Kremlings!\u201d Various crocs like King K. Rool appeared with instruments modeled after the Tiki Tak Commanders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat is this?\u201d scoffed Tiki Tong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cJust take a listen,\u201d replied King K. Rool. He then banged his belly like a drum to set the beat, then the Kremlings played their instruments, playing the hypnotic melody that the Tiki Tak Commanders make! The Doctor then noticed the helmets and gasped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMind control helmets!\u201d she said. \u201cTIKI TONG, DON\u2019T LISTEN TO-!\u201d It was too late. The faces of the Tiki Tak Commanders and Tiki Tong went blank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
