He was similar to Godzilla himself in terms of physical appearance, but he had a red chest and stomach area, crystals in the shape of oak-leaf spines running down his back, a massive crystal on each shoulder, shorter arms than Godzilla, two fangs on each side of his mouth, and eyes that burned with a beastly intelligence. \u201cLovely!\u201d grumbled the Doctor. \u201cAnd Godzilla\u2019s only two minutes out!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt looks like I have a bit of a pest problem to deal with!\u201d cackled Dr. Animo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCall off SpaceGodzilla now!\u201d demanded the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou know what \u2018fat chance\u2019 means, I presume?\u201d asked Dr. Animo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDr. Animo, if you don\u2019t call him off, he\u2019ll break free from your control!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cImpossible! My Transmodulator is currently set to mental control! SpaceGodzilla is nothing more than an oversized animal!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKaiju are more than just oversized animals! They\u2019re creatures with an intelligence we don\u2019t give enough credit for! \u2026Come to think of it, that\u2019s all animals in general.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPah!\u201d scoffed Dr. Animo. \u201cI\u2019ve heard that kind of talk before and if that were true, animals would resist my mental control!\u201d That was when something very large breached the water. That large something\u2026was Godzilla himself. He was standing in a fashion that the hurriedly evacuated Golden Gate Bridge was all that was separating Godzilla and SpaceGodzilla. \u201cPerfect! Now, SpaceGodzilla, fire your corona beam! DESTROY GODZILLA!\u201d SpaceGodzilla\u2026didn\u2019t fire a corona beam! He raised his hand and the Golden Gate Bridge wrapped around Godzilla! \u201cWhat?! That\u2019s not what I said at all! Your CORONA BEAM! You know, your horn laser attack?!\u201d SpaceGodzilla then made crystals grow until they were almost to his height. \u201cThis is intolerable! I ORDER YOU TO DESTROY GODZILLA AT ONCE, YOU STUPID SPACE LI-!\u201d Dr. Animo doubled over, clutching his head in pain! The Doctor\u2019s natural telepathic abilities picked up on SpaceGodzilla\u2019s thoughts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI take no orders from you!\u201d he was saying in Dr. Animo\u2019s head. \u201cYou ants should be bowing to me, your TRUE God!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSpaceGodzilla, you need to stop!\u201d urged the Doctor through her own mind. That attracted SpaceGodzilla\u2019s attention. He looked around. \u201cDown here! The woman in the skirt waving!\u201d SpaceGodzilla looked down to see the Doctor. \u201cHello! I\u2019m the Doctor, a frequent visitor to this planet!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI can see that,\u201d replied SpaceGodzilla. \u201cYour mind is not a human one. This does not concern you, Doctor. Be gone!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI can\u2019t do that!\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cYou\u2019re in the wrong time! You need to-!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI will not be going back to my death! I read what Dr. Animo remembers of this time\u2019s history! This Godzilla is nothing more than the child I imprisoned all those years ago!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSpaceGodzilla, as a champion of life, I understand the desire to stay alive, but I\u2019m also a champion of time and-!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI care not about time! I am space! I am gravity! I shall devour everything!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDevour-?\u201d The Doctor\u2019s eyes went wide. \u201c\u2026The Apocalypse Element!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou\u2019ve encountered me before?\u201d asked SpaceGodzilla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIf you detonate those crystals, the whole universe will be set alight!\u201d the Doctor insisted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs it should!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGreat, the Daleks\u2019 most destructive and unstable weapon, and it\u2019s a Kaiju!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019ve molded it to my own ends!\u201d The Doctor was about to interject when she heard the sound of metal being bent. \u201cIf you\u2019ll excuse me, I\u2019ve got history to rewrite!\u201d said SpaceGodzilla. He ended the mental call and stomped towards Godzilla as the King of the Monsters unwrapped the Golden Gate Bridge from his body. His spines then lit up and he fired, but SpaceGodzilla created a crystalline shield in front of him and deflected the attack. He then swung his tail into Godzilla\u2019s face, clubbing him and making him stumble. Godzilla snarled and leapt at SpaceGodzilla, but SpaceGodzilla held the King of the Monsters with his telekinesis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Everything was happening at once. UNIT soldiers and Plumbers were scrambling to form SOME kind of defense. The Doctor grabbed a Plumber. \u201cWhere\u2019s Ben?!\u201d she demanded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOver there, fiddling with his watch!\u201d replied the Plumber. The Doctor followed the Plumber\u2019s finger and found Ben surrounded by Julie, Amy, and Lurra Rus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMr. Tennyson, now is NOT the time to be updating your\u2026your Apple Book or whatever the hell you people use for social media on this planet in this time!\u201d protested Lurra Rus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m not!\u201d argued Ben. \u201cMy stupid watch isn\u2019t working! Really gotta grill Azmuth for this!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat\u2019s going on?\u201d asked the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m trying to select Way Big,\u201d replied Ben, \u201cbut the Omnitrix isn\u2019t even activating the selection dial!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNow, of all times?!\u201d The Doctor pulled Ben\u2019s wrist to her so she could examine the Omnitrix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHEY!\u201d protested Ben. The Doctor checked out the Omnitrix, then she blinked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Ben, I don\u2019t think you\u2019ve updated your watch recently,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat do you mean?\u201d asked Ben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere\u2019re frequent messages from the new Galvan Homeworld and the planet of Primus about new updates to the Omnitrix. I think you\u2019d better install them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIs now really a good time?!\u201d argued Ben. \u201cI gotta turn into Way Big right now!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIf I\u2019m reading this right, I think you\u2019ll be turning into Way Big whenever you want.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHuh?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cJust start installing the updates.\u201d Ben grumbled, but complied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cUpdates accepted and installing,\u201d reported the Omnitrix. \u201cOmnitrix will shut down and restart.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPlease make it quick,\u201d grumbled Ben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOkay, so how do we deal with SpaceGodzilla while Ben\u2019s out of action?\u201d asked Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe only one who can tell us is Dr. Sato,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cWhat was her condition when you last saw her?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCatatonic,\u201d said Lurra Rus. \u201cThe local doctors are trying to snap her out of it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBlast, and I really need her.\u201d The Doctor thought a bit. \u201c\u2026It\u2019s a bit risky, but it might snap her out of it. Where is she?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Sato was sitting in a bed, just staring blankly at the wall ahead of her. The Doctor entered the room with guards outside. \u201c\u2026Dr. Sato?\u201d asked the Doctor. Dr. Sato didn\u2019t respond. \u201c\u2026Right then. Really would prefer asking permission for this.\u201d The Doctor then took off her gloves and placed her fingertips on Dr. Sato\u2019s temples. She probed the poor woman\u2019s mind\u2026and saw a little girl running scared from SpaceGodzilla. The year was 1995. Crystals were everywhere. The noise of the fight was deafening. \u201c\u2026That doesn\u2019t make sense. Where\u2019s MOEGURA?\u201d muttered the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026M\u2026Mogura?\u201d mumbled Dr. Sato. An image of a mole appeared in her mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026No, not the animal,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cThe mech.\u201d That was when an image of a giant robot being piloted by humans appeared. The robot had a drill nose and drill hands and could split into a flying vehicle and a land vehicle. \u201cYes, that\u2019s it! One of humanity\u2019s achievements!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026W\u2026We\u2026helped\u2026him,\u201d said Dr. Sato. \u201c\u2026We were\u2026ants in that fight\u2026but we helped Godzilla\u2026defeat his clone!\u201d Dr. Sato became more aware. \u201cThat mech was my favorite as a child! It\u2026It drove away the monsters in my closet!\u201d She then looked up. \u201c\u2026Doctor, what ARE you doing-?\u201d The shaking coming from the giant monster slug-fest snapped her back to reality. \u201cOh no, they\u2019re fighting!\u201d she realized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd Dr. Animo lost control of SpaceGodzilla,\u201d explained the Doctor. \u201cThis is the same SpaceGodzilla that you saw fall in 1995, so if Godzilla kills him-!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere\u2019s a way to weaken SpaceGodzilla, it\u2019s just convincing someone Like Godzilla not to kill SpaceGodzilla that\u2019s the issue,\u201d interrupted Dr. Sato. \u201cFor now, I can easily tell you that the crystals on SpaceGodzilla\u2019s shoulders are the key. Destroy them and he\u2019s weakened. Now, if we can get any mech to be deployed before SpaceGodzilla decides that San Franscisco is a perfect coastal buffet-!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBen has an alien that\u2019s as big as a Kaiju,\u201d replied the Doctor, \u201cbut the Omnitrix is updating.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAre you serious?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHey, even something as advanced as the Omnitrix or my TARDIS needs software and firmware updates! \u2026Speaking of which, come on! \u2026Unless-.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m all right now, Doctor,\u201d assured Dr. Sato. \u201cCome on!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Doctor and Dr. Sato rushed up to Ben and his group as they took cover. \u201cCome on!\u201d complained Ben as the Omnitrix\u2019s holographic interface displayed that dreaded loading circle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIs it still updating?\u201d asked the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI can\u2019t even engage voice commands!\u201d replied Ben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cVoice commands reestablished,\u201d droned the Omnitrix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPerfect!\u201d cheered Julie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOmnitrix, what are you installing?!\u201d demanded Ben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCurrent updates include vocal commands for transformations, elimination of recharge cycle, unlocking of all aliens in Primus\u2019 codon stream, improved conversational language database-.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHold on, hold on. Omnitrix, did the recent update unlock Master Control? Like what happened to the prototype against the Highbreed?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cConfirmed. Updates now fully completed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHang on, how did I prove-?!\u201d At that moment, a tiny, gray, frog-like creature with tendrils on his chin appeared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTook you long enough to install the Master Control updates!\u201d he grumbled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAzmuth!\u201d gasped the Doctor. Azmuth looked at the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou must be the Time Lord that Ben scanned,\u201d remarked Azmuth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI am,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cI\u2019m called the Doctor and it\u2019s a pleasure to meet the smartest being in five galaxies!\u201d The Doctor was about to fangirl even more, but the Kaiju fight interrupted her squeeing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
