It was bad enough when he had to fight other monsters, but a monster that could recover from wounds as quickly as him or could anticipate and counter his movements? That was just too much! \u2026And now there was something glowing green on that little island! \u2026Wait, was it growing to his size? The green light then formed a humanoid shape, then faded to reveal a red and white person with glowing green eyes and a large fin protruding from his head and forearms. \u201cWAY BIG!\u201d it announced. Godzilla got into a defensive stance. \u201cWhoa, whoa, whoa!\u201d yelped Way Big. \u201cFriendly! Friendly!\u201d \u2026This one wasn\u2019t planning on fighting Godzilla. \u201cLook, big guy, I don\u2019t know if you fully understand, but we can\u2019t kill the knock-off of you!\u201d Godzilla snorted. No one tells him what to do! \u201cGodzilla, please listen! He\u2019s not supposed to die here in this time! This is the same SpaceGodzilla that was killed thirty years ago! He was plucked from that time and brought here! I can send him back so he can die in his proper time, but if you kill him now, there will be massive temporal consequences that I can\u2019t begin to understand! Time will have no meaning! You will cease to exist if you kill him now!\u201d Godzilla didn\u2019t fully understand everything and was about to attack Way Big\u2026then he took a sniff. \u2026SpaceGodzilla\u2019s scent should have been familiar, not exactly the same. \u2026Way Big was right, this knock-off should have been dead already. He would have smelled resurrection on SpaceGodzilla. This\u2026was the exact same one! Godzilla understood preserving history to an extent. He snorted, then assumed an aggressive stance, giving off a challenge roar to SpaceGodzilla. \u201c\u2026Gonna assume you understand, big guy,\u201d said Way Big. He then faced SpaceGodzilla. \u201cYou heard the king! Round two, baby!\u201d SpaceGodzilla roared in defiance!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026I can\u2019t help but see Ultraman in Ben right now,\u201d remarked Dr. Sato as she saw Godzilla and Way Big charge at SpaceGodzilla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBen\u2019s heard the Ultraman jokes already,\u201d replied Julie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe To\u2019kustar race DID come before your Ultraman franchise,\u201d said the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo what now?\u201d asked Lurra Rus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou think Ben convinced Godzilla not to kill SpaceGodzilla?\u201d quizzed Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI really hope so,\u201d muttered the Doctor. The ground shook as the fight went on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI think the bigger question is can we avoid getting underfoot?!\u201d yelped Dr. Sato.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBen seems to be keeping the fight contained in the bay,\u201d remarked the Doctor. \u201cI think we\u2019d best take advantage of the hills San Francisco is built on.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019d have to get there first!\u201d protested Dr. Sato. \u201cLook at the size of the waves!\u201d The fight WAS causing massive waves to hit the shore, waves big enough to send boats and ships away from land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDamn!\u201d grumbled the Doctor. Dr. Sato then looked up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Ben\u2019s not hitting the crystals on SpaceGodzilla\u2019s shoulders!\u201d she called.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAll right, I need a megaphone!\u201d called the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Back at the fight, Godzilla\u2019s fire was deflected by SpaceGodzilla\u2019s crystalline shield. The space monster had a wicked smirk as he lumbered towards Godzilla\u2026then he felt something tug at his tail! He looked back to see Way Big holding onto his tail. \u201cGOTCHA!\u201d laughed Way Big. SpaceGodzilla snorted, then thrashed his tail. Way Big kept ahold of SpaceGodzilla\u2019s tail, but he DID end up dunked underwater. He was forced to release the tail and come up for air. \u201cOkay, that wasn\u2019t my brightest idea!\u201d spluttered Way Big.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBEN!\u201d called the Doctor\u2019s voice over a megaphone. Way Big looked down to see the Doctor, her friends, and Julie waving. The Doctor then spoke into the megaphone. \u201cTHE SHOULDER CRYSTALS! DESTROY THE SHOULDER CRYSTALS!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe shoulder-?\u201d Way Big looked to see that SpaceGodzilla was focusing on Godzilla now. Godzilla had remembered SpaceGodzilla\u2019s weakness and was trying to destroy the shoulder crystals, but SpaceGodzilla\u2019s crystalline shield was keeping him safe. \u2026Way Big then noticed a flaw! \u201c\u2026Should have watched your back!\u201d Way Big crossed his arms into an X formation and fired a stream of green energy at SpaceGodzilla\u2019s right shoulder crystal. The crystal shattered and caused SpaceGodzilla to roar in pain, making him lose his concentration on his shield. Godzilla saw his chance and fired a Spiral Red Atomic burst at the remaining shoulder crystal. The crystal shattered and SpaceGodzilla was in immense pain. The King of the Monsters and Way Big then wailed on SpaceGodzilla. They focused on just knocking him out. Eventually, they backed off and SpaceGodzilla wobbled before collapsing in San Francisco Bay! His eyes were shut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYES!\u201d cheered everyone else. Godzilla gave a roar of victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPerfect! Now, with that out of the way-!\u201d said Way Big. He then looked down at the Omnitrix symbol on his chest. \u201cOmnitrix, Clockwork!\u201d The green light then returned and surrounded him. He then shrunk down until he was a round creature made of brass clockwork with a green window on his chest showing off his internal mechanisms. He had a clock key on his round head and spoke with an exaggerated Swiss accent. \u201cCLOCKWORK!\u201d The key on his head then spun. \u201c\u2026Aha! So you came from that point in time. Well, history says you have to be there. \u2026However, it DOES say you have to be in that condition the Grouping found you in.\u201d Clockwork then fired a time ray from his chest. \u201cDon\u2019t worry, this will just send you back to the past with no memory of being in the future.\u201d SpaceGodzilla then faded away in green light. \u201cThere we go! And so, the day is saved, thanks to Ben Te\u2026wait a minute!\u201d Clockwork then recalled that there was nothing but water under the fading SpaceGodzilla and he was pretty sure that would hurt a Chronosapien! \u201c\u2026Omnitrix, Ripjaws! Ripjaws! RIPJAWS!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Back on Alcatraz, everyone saw a ball of fire where Clockwork was! \u201cBEN!\u201d called Julie. The ball of fire then dipped near the water when SpaceGodzilla fully returned to his time, then shot up and arced towards Alcatraz. \u201c\u2026Oh, no, wait,\u201d realized Julie. The ball of fire landed near the group and dissipated to reveal a humanoid made of rocks and fire with the Omnitrix symbol on his chest. Julie couldn\u2019t resist. \u201cHEATBLAST!\u201d she shouted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Is Azmuth still here?\u201d asked Heatblast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRight here, Ben,\u201d replied Azmuth as he hopped off the Doctor\u2019s shoulder. \u201cShouldn\u2019t you have turned into your Piscciss Volaan form? You know, that transformation you call Ripjaws?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s what I told the Omnitrix to turn me into!\u201d snapped Heatblast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI think the DNA database in the Omnitrix needs a recheck,\u201d remarked the Doctor. \u201cThat\u2019s a Pyronite, not a Piscciss Volaan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYeah, well this stupid watch has a sense of humor!\u201d retorted Heatblast. \u201cI thought Master Control avoids that whole turning-me-into-the-wrong-alien thing! Azmuth, if you\u2019re the smartest guy in nine galaxies-!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFIVE galaxies,\u201d corrected the Doctor and Azmuth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd haven\u2019t you humans developed voice command technology recently?\u201d asked Azmuth. \u201cA Chronosapien\u2019s accent DOES impede things a bit when you\u2019re panicked and the voice recognition software hasn\u2019t been trained!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Not to detract from the lesson Ben\u2019s learning here,\u201d said the Doctor, \u201cbut the Time Lords\u2019 voice recognition software avoids that. Perhaps I can-?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo, thank you, Doctor,\u201d replied Azmuth. \u201cI\u2019ll figure it out myself.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As the group talked, Godzilla simply stomped off towards deeper waters and prepared to dive. What he didn\u2019t know was that Dr. Animo was watching him. \u201cThat\u2019s it, little Kaiju!\u201d cackled the mad doctor. \u201cOnce my Transmodulator hits you, you\u2019ll be under my direct-!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHey!\u201d called Amy\u2019s voice. Dr. Animo turned to see her standing there with her hands on her hips while Lurra Rus stood behind her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo,\u201d said Lurra Rus as she held up a component Dr. Animo recognized. It was the power transfer circuit for his Transmodulator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Ladies, you two are no fun!\u201d grumbled Dr. Animo as he held his hands up in surrender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Everyone returned to the mainland as Godzilla went under the water and cruised back to Monster Island. Dr. Animo was put into a prison transport truck, muttering about stupid sapient hedgehogs. The Doctor checked some readings on her sonic screwdriver and smiled. \u201cThat\u2019s two chronal surges dealt with,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd this one was far more satisfactory than the previous!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo where are we off to now?\u201d asked Amy as she, the Doctor, and Lurra Rus headed back to the TARDIS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cStill figuring that out,\u201d replied the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoctor, you\u2019re not leaving, surely!\u201d protested Dr. Sato as she and Ben approached her. \u201cThere\u2019s still so much to clean up!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd I\u2019m sure UNIT and the Plumbers can do it splendidly,\u201d answered the Doctor. \u201cBut the chronal surge that brought SpaceGodzilla to this time isn\u2019t the only one. We need to mitigate this before other races take advantage of the Grouping.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Well, if you\u2019re sure,\u201d sighed Dr. Sato.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, Ben, could Azmuth keep an eye on the Grouping?\u201d asked the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot really much he can do,\u201d replied Ben. \u201cHe\u2019s more interested in genetics, not temporal mechanics.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
