\u201cIt\u2019s a dynamic way of saying \u2018I have arrived\u2019,\u201d explained the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Nice skirt,\u201d remarked Lurra Rus. Den-O looked down and finally saw the skirt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDang it! This always happens when I possess a girl!\u201d he grumbled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKamen Rider Den-O! At last!\u201d cackled the Lantern Imagin. \u201cI\u2019m gonna enjoy this little warmup!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWarmup?\u201d asked Den-O. He then took four parts hanging from his belt and assembled them into a sword. As he did, he started talking. \u201cI don\u2019t know how things work with you Red Lanterns, but you\u2019re on MY turf! And around here, I don\u2019t do warmups and I don\u2019t do warning shots!\u201d He finished forming his sword. \u201cEveryday, from start to finish, I\u2019m always at a climax! Let\u2019s go, let\u2019s go, LET\u2019S GO!\u201d He then charged at the Lantern Imagin, sword ready! The two clashed with Green Lantern and the Flash helping out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Everything\u2019s happening too fast,\u201d muttered the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoctor, maybe you need another Time Lord\u2019s help,\u201d suggested Lurra Rus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026I suppose I do,\u201d agreed the Doctor. \u201cOwner, perhaps I had better bring you into the picture.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTelepathically?\u201d asked the Owner. \u201cThis seems like quite a tale.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt is. Contact.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cContact.\u201d The two Time Lords then had their telepathic conference with the Doctor filling the Owner in on events from Batman\u2019s warning about the Grouping to the current crisis. They then opened their eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDrat! I completely forgot to contact Susan after the last adventure!\u201d the Doctor chided herself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019d best contact Gallifrey,\u201d remarked the Owner. \u201cYour TARDIS still has a means of communicating with the homeworld, the Den Liner does not.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBut there\u2019s the matter of the Imagin! They\u2019re walking chronal surges!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThey\u2019re also from an aborted timeline. No amount of bringing them back to the future will make it better. They have become, quite literally, beings made of the Sands of Time.\u201d The Doctor looked back at the fight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Drat,\u201d she muttered. \u201cMomotaros, tell Amy that the Owner and I need to contact Gallifrey and that dealing with the Imagin is the only way to correct the chronal surge!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cShe heard you!\u201d replied Den-O. He then acted as if he heard something. \u201c\u2026What hammer?!\u201d he said. His arm then stretched out and, with the flick of the wrist, summoned Amy\u2019s hammer. \u201cOh, now THAT\u2019S a climactic weapon!\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat am I supposed to do?\u201d asked Lurra Rus. \u201cStand here and look pretty?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cActually, I need help fixing the comms system,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cMind giving us a hand?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAll right.\u201d Lurra Rus followed the Doctor and the Owner into the TARDIS. Green Lantern managed to restrain the Lantern Imagin so the Flash could get some rapid-fire punches in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGet out of the way!\u201d called Den-O. \u201cThis flashlight\u2019s mine!\u201d He managed to scan his pass again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFull Charge!\u201d announced the belt as red light crackled around his sword and hammer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHissatsu! Ore no hissatsu waza! Hedge-hammer-sword version!\u201d Den-O stuck his weapons out and spun like a tornado! He bashed into the Lantern Imagin repeatedly, then stopped as the blade of his sword flew out of the handle! He then swung the handle, making the blade hit the Lantern Imagin repeatedly, then swung down, chopping the enemy Imagin right down the middle and making it explode into sand. \u201c\u2026There it is!\u201d said Den-O. \u201cMy new finishing move!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI though hedgehogs curled into balls,\u201d remarked Green Lantern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd how lame would that have been?\u201d asked Den-O. Momotaros was then suddenly ejected as Amy took her body back over and took the belt off, dismissing the Den-O armor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLAME?!\u201d she shouted. \u201cTHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH COOLER THAN WHAT YOU DID!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEXCUSE ME?! WHAT I DID WAS COOL AND YOU KNOW IT!\u201d retorted Momotaros. The Imagin and Hedgehog Girl then got into a shouting match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While Amy and Momotaros argued, the Doctor had finished up her call to Gallifrey, informing them about the Owner and Stationmaster\u2019s survival and decision to remain as they are, apologizing to Susan for not contacting her after the previous incident with two of the Doctor\u2019s past incarnations, and learning about what caused the Grouping in the first place. \u201c\u2026I\u2026I see,\u201d muttered the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt seems you have a choice before you, Doctor,\u201d said the Owner. \u201cWhat will it be and how will it protect time?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Well, I DID get a hint in my previous incarnation,\u201d sighed the Doctor. \u201cI just\u2026don\u2019t know how to go about it so she and Lurra Rus are safe.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Speaking of Amy, we should check on her,\u201d suggested Lurra Rus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAgreed,\u201d said the Owner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCome on, you two,\u201d directed the Doctor. The trio left the TARDIS and saw Amy and Momotaros arguing with Green Lantern and the Flash standing by. The Flash saw the group leave the TARDIS and whistled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHey! Guys!\u201d he called. Momotaros and Amy stopped arguing. \u201cThey\u2019re finished in there.\u201d He directed their attention to the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Right then,\u201d said Amy. \u201cWell, it looks like this adventure\u2019s over.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo it seems,\u201d replied the Owner. \u201cMomotaros, it\u2019s time we departed. We have more chronal surges to look out for.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYeah, yeah, sure,\u201d grumbled Momotaros as he and the Owner boarded the Den Liner. \u201cFeels like the adventure went too fast.\u201d The Den Liner then pulled out of the Watchtower like it was a station and opened a path to the Sands of Time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAmy, it\u2019s time we left,\u201d said the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo soon?\u201d asked Amy. \u201cBut I wanna catch up with Diana and-.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAmy, we just learned something about the cause of the Grouping,\u201d interjected Lurra Rus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Oh. \u2026Well, Hal, Barry, I guess I gotta go.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMomotaros was right, this adventure went WAY too quickly!\u201d remarked the Flash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Did you just tell us to slow down?!\u201d laughed Green Lantern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGoodbye, everyone,\u201d said the Doctor as she hurried Amy and Lurra Rus back into the TARDIS. The lamp on the TARDIS\u2019 roof then flashed as it made its usual take off noise and dematerialized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Doctor, Lurra Rus, what\u2019s wrong?\u201d asked Amy as the TARDIS continued its flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Well, let me just\u2026try and see how to best explain-,\u201d floundered the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoctor, we can\u2019t afford to stall,\u201d chided Lurra Rus. \u201cThis event is too big for that.\u201d The Doctor sighed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou said that the Time Lords found out how the Grouping got started,\u201d said Amy. \u201cHow\u2019s that possible?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026They\u2019ve determined that it was one paradox that started it,\u201d replied the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA paradox, huh? And how did this whole paradox unfold? Who\u2019s the source of it?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m rather afraid you are.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWHAT?!\u201d yelped Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRemember how you first stepped aboard the TARDIS?\u201d asked the Doctor. \u201cYou were encouraged by your future, wearing your current outfit, to go along with me. The TARDIS was working overtime to try and stabilize the paradox, only\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOnly its heart split and the original became the new Eye of Harmony,\u201d recalled Amy. \u201cAre you saying that when it did that-?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt released its stabilizing ability over the paradox and now that paradox is creating chronal surges all across time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWould me going back to that point in time fix it?\u201d asked Amy hopefully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m afraid not,\u201d sighed the Doctor. \u201cFor one thing, the TARDIS accounts for how long its occupants have been inside it, so it only drops someone off at a later point in their native planet\u2019s time after their initial departure. For another, I can\u2019t take you back for the sole fact that your future said that someone else will take you back. And for yet another thing, Batman knew about the Grouping long before we did, but that mess with Den-O didn\u2019t involve Batman at all, it\u2019s too late into the Justice League\u2019s future. Remember that Batman said that I had already regenerated by the time he was made aware of the Grouping. \u2026But, hopefully, closing the paradox will mitigate the damage.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBut\u2026I\u2019m at the center of it\u2026\u201d summed up Amy. \u201c\u2026The heart of the problem. \u2026All our\u2026recent problems!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoctor, how bad would it be if Amy stayed aboard the TARDIS?\u201d asked Lurra Rus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA temporal implosion,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cAll of time and space collapsing into a single point, into Amy herself. \u2026Too terrifying a concept to comprehend, even for Time Lords.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThen how can we keep time and space from collapsing and taking me with it?!\u201d asked Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAll we can do is mitigate the damage,\u201d answered the Doctor. \u201cI don\u2019t know how to fully fix it and the Time Lords are working overtime to try and find a solution.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Doctor,\u201d mumbled Amy, \u201c\u2026I\u2019m scared.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
