Ruby, Grace, and Pat\u2019s group dealt with Rockette, a woman that had some exposed flesh, but the rest of her body was stone. She attacked with jabs and kept her fleshy bits guarded. \u201cTell me, Rockette,\u201d said Grace, \u201cwas it worth it, sacrificing your soul to Emperor Entropy?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd getting all this power? You bet it was!\u201d replied Rockette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat sounds too much like the quick, easy way out,\u201d remarked Pat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDon\u2019t knock it \u2018til you try it!\u201d Rockette could still swing a punch and any punch or kick the Roses used was literally hitting stone. Ruby then summoned her sword and swung it, but all it did was bounce off uselessly when Rockette blocked it with her stone arm. Pat then summoned a large hammer and swung it downwards, only for Rockette to grab it. Pat smirked and the hammer became heavier\u2026then it became lighter, much to Pat\u2019s surprise. Rockette smirked and tossed Pat aside. \u201cPlease, you REALLY think you\u2019re the only one that has gravity powers?\u201d scoffed Rockette. Grace then twirled her spear and jabbed at Rockette only for Rockette to twirl out of the way. She then stamped her foot and all three Roses ended up floating in the air, then Rockette hit them all in the stomach and restored their personal gravity. The three of them were gasping for breath from the hit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHow\u2026does she\u2026do that?!\u201d strained Pat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNever\u2026studied\u2026Emperor Entropy\u2019s\u2026magic!\u201d replied Grace. Ruby sat up, clutching her stomach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLook at you,\u201d scoffed Rockette. \u201cFighting for a concept that just holds someone back! Morals, righteousness, the soul, they\u2019re ALL nothing more than shackles! There is no good, no evil, there\u2019s only power and those too weak to seek it! Great beings DO seek power! And I AM a great being!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo\u2026you\u2019re not!\u201d coughed Ruby as she glared at Rockette. \u201cMorals are NOT shackles! They\u2019re the keys to unlock your full potential! You might be right about good and evil being fake, but without those concepts, what\u2019s the point of life?! Just to be born, work, reproduce, then die?! That\u2019s a terrible life! There\u2019s no end goal to believe in!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhy look for an end goal?\u201d asked Rockette. \u201cIt means you perpetuate a cycle that condemns the universe to chaos!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLife, death, and rebirth is a worthwhile cycle and you know it!\u201d retorted Pat. Rockette rolled her eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOrdinarily, I\u2019d say you kids will learn the truth one day, but since you\u2019re enemies, I can\u2019t really leave you alive.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLook who\u2019s perpetuating the cycle!\u201d snarled Grace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWith Emperor Entropy\u2019s minions, I can safely say that the cycle WON\u2019T be perpetuated,\u201d smirked Rockette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat do you mean?\u201d asked Grace. \u201cWhat did he do?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s not your concern anymore. Goodbye!\u201d Rockette swung her fist, but the Roses rolled out of the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s no good!\u201d Grace said through their telepathic field. \u201cWe can\u2019t hit her like this! We\u2019ve got to find some way to combine our attacks!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHow do you combine fire, gravity, and balance?!\u201d replied Pat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026I think I have something of an idea,\u201d said Ruby, \u201cbut it involves gravity in a different way. \u2026Pat, when Grace and I fly over her, you increase the gravity on our weapons to three times that of Gaia\u2019s.\u201d Pat arched an eyebrow and started thinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026You know, I have enough mastery that I can add my hammer to that mix,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAll right, then do it when we\u2019re all directly above her,\u201d directed Ruby. Then\u2026their Transformation Seeds glowed. \u201cWhat the-?!\u201d spluttered Ruby out loud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019re already Cosmic Roses!\u201d yelped Pat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGirls, go through your transformation routine,\u201d directed Grace, \u201cbut during the announcement, replace \u2018lady\u2019 with \u2018dame\u2019!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat kind of garbage are you teaching those girls?\u201d asked Rockette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat you call garbage,\u201d replied Ruby, \u201cwe call worthwhile lessons! Red Dame Rose of Fire\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPurple Dame Rose of Gravity\u2026\u201d continued Pat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI DESIRE TO BLOOM!\u201d shouted both girls. Their Transformation Seeds expanded, enveloped them, turned into rosebuds, and opened into a purple and red rose respectively, then Ruby and Pat leapt out as usual\u2026but their outfits were different now! Yes, they still had the leotards, skirts, gloves, tights, shoes, and roses in their hair, but the roses had gotten bigger and replaced the leaf with a gold thread with a bead matching their rose\u2019s color. The skirts became pleated skirts and now they wore gold bracelets on their left wrist. The two girls goggled in surprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHoly-!\u201d breathed Ruby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLooking good!\u201d remarked Pat. Ruby then flexed her arm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd feel that power!\u201d she said. \u201c\u2026Come on, Grace, Pat! Round two, like we planned!\u201d Ruby led with a punch\u2026and cracked the stoney part of Rockette\u2019s skin. Rockette gasped in pain and clutched her wound. She then looked down in horror. She felt\u2026pain! Somehow, teenage girls got through her stoney skin!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026No!\u201d she whispered in terror. Then Grace slashed with her spear and cut Rockette\u2019s more fleshy face, causing it to bleed. Pat then tripped the villain up. Once she was on the floor, the Roses flew up and aimed their weapons at Rockette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNOW!\u201d called Pat. She increased the gravity on all their weapons and they came crashing down on Rockette. They then leapt away as Rockette started convulsing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cN-NO! NO!\u201d she wailed. \u201cNOT LIKE THIS! NOT TO THEM!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHoo boy! Here comes the boom!\u201d gulped Ruby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBoom?\u201d asked Pat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTAKE COVER!\u201d warned Grace. The Roses ducked behind a wall, then Rockette screamed and exploded. Her flesh was vaporized and her stone was broken up in the explosion. Her soulless body couldn\u2019t handle the amount of magic the Roses had introduced, so it was destroyed violently. The Roses waited a few minutes, then poked their heads out to see the stone that was left behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026That\u2019s one down,\u201d said Ruby. \u201cThree to go!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI hope the others reached the Dame rank,\u201d remarked Pat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKnowing them, I think they have,\u201d replied Grace. \u201cYou girls should be proud to have reached that rank.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOnce we\u2019re done here,\u201d suggested Pat, \u201cmaybe bring your folks here so we all can celebrate!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
