\u201cHEY, HATEY!\u201d called Wander.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Ignore him, Hater!\u201d Lord Hater growled to himself. \u201cIf you ignore him, he\u2019ll go away!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s a rather lame way to solve your problems, Lord Hater,\u201d remarked the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cARE YOU QUESTIONING ME?!\u201d shouted Lord Hater. \u201c\u2026Wait a minute, who ARE you anyways?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, we met before,\u201d said the Doctor. \u201cThat whole business with the Daleks and Lord Dominator and her modifications to the Movellan Virus?\u201d Lord Hater goggled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHow do YOU know the specifics?!\u201d he demanded. \u201c\u2026Unless\u2026Peepers!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes, Sir!\u201d replied his right-hand man, Commander Peepers. He then pulled out a scanner and waved it over the Doctor. His singular eye widened. \u201cTime Lord genetics confirmed, Sir!\u201d reported Commander Peepers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSir, that blue box the Doctor has is over here!\u201d called one of the eyeball creatures, the Watchdogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDOCTOR?!\u201d yelped Lord Hater. \u201cWHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?! WITH WANDER AGAIN?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, I\u2019m trying to get this young man back to his proper point in space-time,\u201d replied the Doctor as she indicated Raz. Commander Peepers checked his scanner again, then his eye widened in surprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSir, that kid\u2019s psychic readings are off the charts!\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHis psychic powers are not your concern!\u201d urged the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Oh, aren\u2019t they?!\u201d chuckled Lord Hater as a wicked grin crossed his face. By now, the Doctor and her friends closed ranks around Raz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou\u2019re not touching him!\u201d declared the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWatchdogs, EYES UP!\u201d ordered Lord Hater. The Watchdogs leveled their weapons at the group. \u201cI don\u2019t NEED to touch him to get him to come aboard! Just to be on the safe side, you\u2019d better join him and enjoy your five-star suite in the brig while I clone his mind powers!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHa! You don\u2019t have that kind of technology!\u201d cackled the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026So, I HAVE been wrong before,\u201d remarked the Doctor when she saw the machine in Lord Hater\u2019s ship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s gonna clone my psychic abilities?\u201d asked Raz. \u201c\u2026Looks an awful lot like the Brain Tumbler.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWith this machine, puny creature,\u201d Commander Peepers said with pride, \u201cwe shall clone all psychic abilities and implant them into our test subjects!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPsychic cloning is against galactic law,\u201d remarked the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019M the evil overlord here!\u201d retorted Lord Hater. \u201cI\u2019M the one that decides what is or isn\u2019t legal!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOther powers made that kind of thing illegal because of the untold damage it does to both the psychic having their powers cloned and the subject that\u2019s having those powers forcibly implanted into their own mind! It will KILL them! BOTH of them!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMy science team\u2019s already taking the necessary precautions!\u201d dismissed Hater. \u201cWatchdogs, throw them in the brig! Make sure everything is ready for the kid!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLord Hater, Raz is ten!\u201d protested the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEleven, actually,\u201d interjected Raz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot the point.\u201d The Watchdogs were set on obeying their master as they leveled their guns at the Doctor and her group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Everyone was thrown into separate cells in the brig block. \u201c\u2026Well, ain\u2019t this cozy,\u201d grumbled Sylvia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI don\u2019t think we\u2019ve been properly introduced,\u201d Wander said to Raz. \u201cFolks call me Wander.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRaz,\u201d replied Raz. \u201cRazputin Aquato. From Earth.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNever heard of it,\u201d remarked Sylvia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s not a planet within this galaxy,\u201d replied the Doctor as she fiddled with her cell\u2019s force field. \u201cHave to admit, Lord Hater\u2019s a lot smarter than I gave him credit for.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat, for not only hiding the force field emitters,\u201d said Tysar, \u201cbut taking your sonic screwdriver?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes, limiting my options,\u201d remarked the Doctor. \u201cMaking me take longer to escape, that WILL put me in a panic\u2026if the Skullship was running on top-of-the-line technology.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes, the power flow regulators aren\u2019t very advanced,\u201d remarked Tysar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHater\u2019s always focused on whether or not something is cool in his eyes,\u201d said Sylvia. \u201cSo I\u2019m not surprised to hear you say that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHm, primitive technology by anyone\u2019s metrics,\u201d said the Doctor, \u201cbut stubborn. \u2026Actually, Raz, can you still use your powers? Simple telekinesis on the force field control panel should be sufficient.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLet\u2019s see,\u201d replied Raz. He held his hand to the side of his head, then concentrated. The control panel then sparked and the force fields vanished. The Doctor grinned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRule one of containing a psychic!\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAlways have something on hand to shut off their powers!\u201d finished Raz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSo what now?\u201d asked Sylvia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNow I need to know what Hater\u2019s plans are,\u201d said the Doctor. \u201cAnd, of course, get my screwdriver back.\u201d She saw a console with a screen above it. \u201cThat might do it. Let\u2019s see\u2026password locked. Right then.\u201d She tried the obvious password of \u201cpassword\u201d and all variations. \u201c\u2026No, looks like Hater\u2019s not that stupid. \u2026Wait, maybe something that strokes his ego.\u201d She tried a variation of Lord Hater\u2019s name and the fact that he considered himself the number one superstar. \u201c\u2026AHA!\u201d she called. \u201cPerfect!\u201d She then called up the data of the mission to the planet. \u201c\u2026Hm\u2026well, that WOULD be a prudent thing to do.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoctor?\u201d asked Wander.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt seems Lord Hater, in a bout of paranoia, fears that Lord Dominator would use Time Orbble Lake to travel back to the past and undo her big defeat at his hands.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, you gotta admit,\u201d remarked Sylvia, \u201closing to Hater would bruise anyone\u2019s ego.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere\u2019s something that just doesn\u2019t add up, though,\u201d remarked the Doctor. \u201cWhere does Raz fit into all this?\u201d She triple-checked her research. \u201c\u2026Infernal cheek!\u201d she muttered. \u201cRaz was just a spur-of-the-moment plan!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, I guess I can be somewhat relieved,\u201d remarked Raz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoctor, what does it say about Hater\u2019s machine?\u201d asked Tysar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHaven\u2019t found those files yet,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cCome on, come on! No, I don\u2019t want to see tickets to Lord Hater and the Harbingers of Doom! No, the-! Aha! Here it is! \u2026Huh. \u2026It\u2019s a Cluckon weapon.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCluckon?\u201d asked Sylvia. \u201cThose chickens? Why would they want it?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt was intended to be a weapon to use the powers of the Mooplexians to psychically attack someone, but it looks like Lord Hater intended to use that power for his own purposes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd Mooplexians are\u2026?\u201d asked Tysar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, they look like the dumbest creatures in the universe, but those are only shells of their real selves. Their actual intelligence is phenomenal, rivaling even the Time Lords. And using them as a power source for this psychic cloning machine WOULD give Hater a degree of control\u2026right! We have to go to the Mooplexian Homeworld!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoctor, we can\u2019t just leave! The TARDIS is still by the lake!\u201d protested Tysar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLord Hater can guard that lake as much as he wants,\u201d replied the Doctor, \u201cbut the weapon needs to be destroyed and the Mooplexians have that kind of reach.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoctor, there\u2019s sure to be Watchdogs\u2026well, WATCHING the TARDIS!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLeave that to me and Wander!\u201d replied Sylvia. Wander then took off his hat and rummaged around in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLet\u2019s see\u2026aha!\u201d He pulled out a Watchdog\u2019s suit! \u201cThey\u2019re about my height! I always wanted to see what being a Watchdog was like!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPerfect! Let\u2019s go!\u201d declared the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Doctor and her group arrived at the front of the Skullship where guards were placed for any attempted jailbreaks. Wander was dressed up in his Watchdog suit and had a super soaker in his hands. It looked like one of the Watchdogs\u2019 usual laser rifles, so no one really blinked. \u201cAll right, as we planned,\u201d the Doctor said to Wander.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRight,\u201d replied Wander. \u201cAnd\u2026sorry in advance.\u201d He then \u201croughly\u201d shoved the Doctor forward. \u201cCome on, you!\u201d he barked. \u201cGet going! You too, Zbornak! And you apes!\u201d Everyone marched towards the front.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHALT!\u201d called one of the guards. \u201cWhat do you think you\u2019re doing, Private? The prisoners are supposed to stay in their cells!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLord Hater ordered me to give them some exercise as long as we\u2019re on the planet!\u201d replied Wander.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s true,\u201d replied Raz. \u201cGo ahead and check with him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes, he was quite insistent,\u201d supplied the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYeah, right!\u201d scoffed the other guard. \u201cLet me just check, huh?\u201d He pulled out a walkie-talkie and called up Lord Hater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat is it, Bob?!\u201d demanded Lord Hater. \u201cI\u2019m busy making my new torture room mixtape!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLord Hater, one of the Privates said that he got direct orders from you to-.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cARE YOU MAKING ONE OF THE PRIVATES DISOBEY ME?!\u201d shouted Hater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cN-NO, SIR!\u201d yelped the guard. \u201cNOT AT ALL, SIR!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTHEN LET HIM GET ON WITH IT! HATER, OUT!\u201d Hater hung up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026W-Well, get on with it!\u201d ordered the guard as he and his friend stepped aside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThanks!\u201d replied Wander. He then escorted everyone out. After a few seconds, one of the guards thought for a moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Hang on! Since when do we have orange beards?!\u201d he asked his friend. The other guard goggled, then whirled around, blaster armed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
