The group was now split into two. Obi-wan, Sty, Tysar, and Rex were dealing with Kamen Rider Smash-R while the Doctor, Ex-Aid, Marie, and the Captain worked on the Bugster that absorbed Callie. \u201cCan\u2019t you just level up or something?!\u201d Marie asked Ex-Aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cUnfortunately,\u201d replied Ex-Aid, \u201call operations like this have to start with Level 1.\u201d The attack went on, then\u2026the golem screeched as it shimmered, then collapsed, dropping Callie. Marie was about to rush up to her, but the Captain held her back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cShe\u2019s got a virus!\u201d he reminded. \u201cYou\u2019ll probably be infected if you touch her!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo,\u201d said Ex-Aid, \u201cyou can approach and monitor her while I fight the Bugster\u2019s new form.\u201d He then grabbed the handle on his belt. \u201cDAI HENSHIN!\u201d He pulled the handle back to reveal a screen with a pink game character on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGACHAN!\u201d called the belt. \u201cLEVEL UP!\u201d Ex-Aid then jumped on blocks and kicked while in the air. \u201cMIGHTY JUMP! MIGHTY KICK! MIGHTY! MIGHTY ACTION! X!\u201d The face and hair split away from the rest of the body, then a new body sprouted from behind the face. The body wore a pink suit with a helmet modeled after the face of the chibi form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Th\u2026That was\u2026!\u201d stammered the Captain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoesn\u2019t that hurt?!\u201d asked the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo, but it DOES feel weird,\u201d replied Ex-Aid. Everyone then heard a roar. They looked to see a muscular creature with what looked like a blue penguin\u2019s face with some crown-like hat on its head. \u201cWait a minute! That looks like-!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKing Dedede!\u201d finished the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019ve just about had it with you, Kirby!\u201d shouted the monster. \u201cYou face Macho Dedede!\u201d The Macho Dedede Bugster then swung its fists at everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGood thing Nintendo allowed CR to make Gashats based on their games!\u201d called Ex-Aid. He closed the lever on his belt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGACHON!\u201d it called. Ex-Aid then pulled out another pink Gashat and pressed the button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHOSHI NO KIRBY!\u201d it announced. Ex-Aid then inserted it into the free slot of his belt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGASHATTO!\u201d Ex-Aid then whirled his arm around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDai dai dai dai dai DAI HENSHIN!\u201d he announced. He then pulled the handle and revealed the screen with his image overlapping star-shaped armor. A yellow star then appeared, broke apart, and attached itself to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGACHAN! LEVEL UP! MIGHTY JUMP! MIGHTY KICK! MIGHTY! MIGHTY ACTION! X! A-GACHA! FOO-FOOD AMONG THE STARS! MUNCH AND FEAST! OKAY! HOSHI NO KIRBY!\u201d Ex-Aid jumped around as each impact from the Macho Dedede Bugster created stars. Ex-Aid touched each star and threw them, causing damage to the Bugster. He then took out the Kirby Gashat. \u201cGASHOON!\u201d He then inserted the Gashat into the Gashacon Breaker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGASHATTO! KIMEWAZA!\u201d E-Aid then pulled a trigger on the handle. \u201cHOSHI NO\u2026CRITICAL FINISH!\u201d He repeatedly bashed the Bugster with hammer attacks. Eventually, the Bugster fainted and fell face-first with its foot sticking up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPERFECT!\u201d called a voice. The Bugster exploded and victory music played. \u201cGAME CLEAR!\u201d Callie then groaned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo, Grandpa. I don\u2019t want any more crabby cakes,\u201d she mumbled. Ex-Aid then pulled out a stethoscope-like device and held it towards Callie. A hologram showed up displaying her vitals. Marie looked it over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Those are normal vital signs for us,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd no evidence of Game Disease!\u201d continued Ex-Aid. \u201cNow, to deal with Lord Dominator!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Smash-R was laughing as she fought. \u201cOh man! I\u2019m having too much fun!\u201d she giggled. \u201cJust look at me! Causing fear and panic among you! You idiots putting up a sense of false bravado! Man, I was so wrapped up in rebuilding my ship, I almost forgot how fun being a villain is!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou mean you commit evil deeds KNOWING they\u2019re evil deeds?!\u201d asked Obi-wan as he blocked her blows with his lightsaber and the Force. \u201cAnd you enjoy it?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYep! Who cares about the \u2018greater good\u2019? Who cares about the \u2018natural order\u2019? I\u2019m just having fun with it!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou\u2019re insane!\u201d snarled Rex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTakes one to know one!\u201d cackled Smash-R. She tripped up Rex and slammed her foot onto his ribs. There was a distinct cracking sound and Rex cried out in pain. \u201cRelax! I made sure that no ribs pierced your lungs!\u201d taunted Smash-R.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDOMINATOR!\u201d called the Doctor\u2019s voice. She and her group arrived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Oh, you cured her,\u201d muttered Smash-R. \u201cOh well! She can die with everyone else on this planet!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou cannot win,\u201d countered Obi-wan. \u201cIf you strike any of us down, we shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFlarp that noise!\u201d scoffed Smash-R. \u201cIf I strike any of you down, you\u2019ll be deader than a Watchdog!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI don\u2019t think so!\u201d retorted Ex-Aid. \u201cI\u2019ll change the-!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou won\u2019t change ANYONE\u2019S fate when I\u2019m done!\u201d interrupted Smash-R.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, ENOUGH!\u201d snarled Rex. He grabbed Obi-wan\u2019s lightsaber right out of the Jedi\u2019s hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRex, what are you-?!\u201d yelped the Doctor. Rex then swung the lightsaber through Smash-R\u2019s waist, destroying the Bugvisor and belt and dismissing her armor. Lord Dominator was in shock\u2026then she slowly slid off her legs and collapsed to the ground. Everyone was stunned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Her people can walk this off,\u201d remarked Rex as he switched the lightsaber off. \u201cShe\u2019ll be given adequate prosthesis and be returned to her point in space-time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat wasn\u2019t necessary!\u201d hissed the Doctor. \u201cWe could have resolved this peacefully!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo, we really couldn\u2019t,\u201d retorted Rex as he gathered up Lord Dominator. \u201cNot when time is against us. This whole exercise has delayed us to the point where Omega is that much closer to Gallifrey. I\u2019ll be going there to intercept him.\u201d He threw Lord Dominator into his TARDIS and shut the door behind him, then it dematerialized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Fool,\u201d muttered the Doctor. \u201cShe wasn\u2019t supposed to get cybernetic legs until she reached old age!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI guess that\u2019s evil Time Lords for you,\u201d remarked Sty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Team TARDIS and their friends returned to the TARDIS. The Doctor opened the door. \u201cI\u2019m afraid there\u2019s no time for goodbyes,\u201d she said. \u201cEmu and Obi-wan have work to do in their native times.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cStill, good luck with the Grouping,\u201d replied Callie. \u201cAnd thanks for that operation, Dr. Hojo!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHappy to help!\u201d replied Emu. He was then yanked into the TARDIS. He goggled in amazement as the doors shut. \u201cH-How-?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA box that is bigger on the inside,\u201d remarked Obi-wan. \u201cNow I\u2019ve seen everything.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAha! There we go!\u201d said the Doctor. \u201cMaster Kenobi, you\u2019re up. And you may want to keep that echoey roar trick in mind, because it will come in handy in a few days for you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAre you sure you should tell me about future events?\u201d asked Obi-wan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTrust me, that\u2019s all the hints I\u2019m giving you. Goodbye and\u2026may the Force be with you.\u201d The Doctor pressed a button on the console and Obi-wan vanished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat\u2019s going to happen in a few days for him?\u201d asked Tysar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe rescues Luke Skywalker and starts him on a path to defeat his father, Anakin, now known as Darth Vader, and bring balance to the Force,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cRight, Dr. Hojo, it\u2019s your turn. \u2026Huh, so you already beat Gamedeus and Dan Masamune.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSure did!\u201d replied Emu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWell, there\u2019s more adventures in the future, but you\u2019ll change the patients\u2019 fates with your own hands!\u201d Emu smiled at that. He waved goodbye as the Doctor sent him back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI still don\u2019t understand,\u201d muttered Tysar. \u201cWhy is Omega after a pop star?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh yes, we DID hear he was after one,\u201d remarked Sty. The Doctor drummed her fingers on the console.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201c\u2026Pop star,\u201d she muttered. \u201c\u2026Pop\u2026wait\u2026\u201d Ex-Aid\u2019s fight with the Macho Dedede Bugster then came to the forefront of her mind. \u201c\u2026No!\u201d She quickly checked her instruments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDoctor?\u201d asked Tysar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m an idiot! He\u2019s not looking for a pop star!\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cHe\u2019s going to a planet called Popstar!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOh, the planet Pop\u2026\u201d Tysar trailed off as her eyes widened. \u201c\u2026Wait, didn\u2019t Kirby-?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes!\u201d confirmed the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAre we talking about that pink blob on Ex-Aid\u2019s\u2026Gashat, I think he called it?\u201d asked Sty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs I said, lots of humans\u2019 imaginations extend beyond space and time,\u201d replied the Doctor. \u201cKirby\u2019s a baby Star Warrior and-.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cA Star Warrior?\u201d interrupted Sty. \u201cLike that Meta Knight character I heard about?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThat\u2019s right,\u201d confirmed the Doctor. \u201cI went there once before. On a quest for the Key to Time. Then Kirby was taken by a chronal surge.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI was there for that last one,\u201d said Tysar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhy would Omega go to Popstar?\u201d asked Sty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHopefully, I can get us there ahead of him!\u201d declared the Doctor. \u201cFirst, I\u2019ll check if there are any chronal surges and\u2026no, not yet! But there\u2019s a ramshackle TARDIS on the way to Popstar! We have to go! NOW! Hold onto something!\u201d Tysar and Sty grabbed the railing surrounding the main platform. The Doctor set the coordinates and yanked the take-off lever. The TARDIS shuddered, making Tysar and Sty grateful that there was something for them to hold onto. \u201cCome on, old girl!\u201d the Doctor encouraged the TARDIS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
